FYI Obama, there are 50 stars on the US Flag to represent the number of States that make up America. Like on the US Flag raised above at Ground Zero in NYC after 9–11.
Democratic Presidential soon to be nominee Barack Obama wants to be President of all 57 States of the US. 57??? That’s correct, straight from the horses mouth. Folks, tired or not … a person running for President should know at all times just how many states make up the territory that they would be governing. Is Barack Obama getting senile?
“It is wonderful to be back in Oregon,” Obama said. “Over the last 15 months, we’ve traveled to every corner of the United States. I’ve now been in 57 states? I think one left to go. Alaska and Hawaii, I was not allowed to go to even though I really wanted to visit, but my staff would not justify it.”
Marc Ambinder reminds us of the obvious when it comes to the bias main stream liberal media. If John McCain had ever had a gaffe like this “the media would be all up in his grill, accusing him of a senior moment”. If is was a Republican that made such a gaffe, the MSM would be raising hell as to their incompetence, their age, are they up for the task, and on and on and on. Maybe some one needs to ask Obama how to spell POTATO.
Stop the ACLU does the Barack Obama new math of the number of states in the US. In Obama’s world there are actually 60 states, 57+1+2.
How many states are there? Well, ummm…we’ve been to 57 with one left to go, then subtract Hawaii and Alaska…ummmm…. Unbelievable!
Little did Obama know that after his 57 state comment that new flag pins would be made. No matter, he wouldn’t wear them anyhow. Maybe if he did wear a flag pin he could actually remember just how many states make up America. Obama, who is losing their bearings?

Hillary is going to take off on that one….
That’s how much he knows about America…I bet there was a lot of mumbling in the background….the things that come out of that man’s mouth…now, how in the world is he going to explain this…a man running for the Presidency and he doesn’t know how many states there are….what an idiot….on top of that he could never handle the pressure of being a President…Democrats you have really done it this time…and he can’t even do simple math, can you image him with the budget…Good Lord…!!!!

Well in my opinion voting for NONE OF THE ABOVE is sounding better and better .
This only shows just how much trouble the USA is in and the other countries are just sitting there laughing, mostly behind our backs at us for destroying our selves from the inside .
It is OK to help sometimes we are the fools to do so until we have the immigration and economic problems in hand here at home.
Obama seems to have a pattern going here. Just like with Rev. Wright, I guess in the 16 years of education Obama was not paying attention to what his Social Studies teachers were saying in class either.
So he didn’t listen in Church or in School.

Hey brie … Hillary did not “take off” on Barack Obamas own words in DREAMS OF MY FATHER and AUDICITY OF HOPE … words that imply that he had no idea regarding the racist/ anti-American idelogy of his pastor/ mentor/ friend of twenty years. Why would Hillary take off on the “57 States” issue?

SENATOR BARACK OBAMA: … You know, I have been a member of Trinity United Church of Christ since 1992. I have known Reverend Wright for almost 20 years. The person I saw yesterday was not the person that I met 20 years ago. His comments were not only divisive and destructive, but I believe that they end up giving comfort to those who prey on hate and I believe that they do not portray accurately the perspective of the black church.
They certainly don’t portray accurately my values and beliefs. And if Reverend Wright thinks that that’s political posturing, as he put it, then he doesn’t know me very well. And based on his remarks yesterday, well, I may not know him as well as I thought, either.

Audacity of Barack Obama and Rev. Wright

In Senator Obama’s first book, titled Dreams of My Father and published in 1995 (after he had been elected president of the Harvard Law Review but before he had been elected to public office), Senator Obama wrote at length about Rev. Wright and his moving “Audacity of Hope” speech.
In Dreams, Senator Obama explained how he met Rev. Wright, whom he mentioned had been “dabbling with liquor, Islam, and black nationalism in the sixties.”
He acknowledged that Rev. Wright immediately had given him fair warning that he was controversial, by quoting Rev. Wright as having said: “Some of my fellow clergy don’t appreciate what we’re about. They feel like we’re too radical. Others, we aren’t radical enough. Too emotional. Not emotional enough.”
He also acknowledged that Rev. Wright let him know at their first meeting that he looked unfavorably on America and expected to continue to do so, by stating, “Life’s not safe for a black man in this country, Barack. Never has been. Probably never will be.” Senator Obama left with one of Rev. Wright’s “Black Value System” brochures.
When Senator Barack listened to Rev. Wright’s “Audacity of Hope” sermon, September 11, 2001 was years away, but, Senator Obama admitted in Dreams, Rev. Wright castigated America.
Senator Obama put it this way: “Reverend Wright spoke of Sharpsville and Hiroshima, the callousness of policy makers in the White House and in the State House. As the sermon unfolded…the stories of strife became more prosaic, the pain more immediate….”
So it’s hard to believe that Senator Obama was not familiar until very recently with Rev. Wright’s position on the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
It’s even worse for Senator Obama and Rev. Wright.
In Obama: From Promise to Power, by the Chicago Tribune’s David Mendell, Mr. Mendell relates (pp. 159-160) a meeting between Senator Obama and Rev. Wright when Senator Obama was deciding whether or not to run for the United States Senate:
“‘My name should be out there,’ Obama told his pastor. ‘but Carol Moseley Braun won’t say what’s she’s going to do, and I’m not gonna run against a black woman. If she’s gonna run, then I’m out. Until she says yes or no, I can’t say anything.”

The media gave GWB no break when he was asked who the ruler of Pakistan was. They gave Dan Quayle no break with potato”e”.
For the love of God, I do not care how tired anyone is, knowing how many states is live breathing. It should be a given. Although I wonder how many people that voted in the primaries know how many states there are?

Well Red you know my background and how I feel about statehood for Puerto Rico…I can tell you the buzz on that.
First Bill Clinton arrived to Puerto Rico to campaign for Hillary. It was a quickie trip, first he talked for like 10-15 mins. (I kid you NOT) and they took him to the WORST public housing in Puerto Rico…people there resented that Hillary herself did not fly over and sent her husband.
A couple of weeks ago, Chelsea arrived to Puerto Rico; another quickie trip but she was really happy, she spent time with elderly people, very professional. Did not catch her do any speeches, just mere statements that I know of. Both Clintons did not want to answer questions from the press.
Now Obama. He has stooped to another ballgame there. Lots of people in the States have missed the news that my dearest infamous lying sack of potatoes, current governor of Puerto Rico has been indicted on 19 charges to federal govt. level. That’s a long story, trial starts beginning of Feb. next year. HE WON’T QUIT AND WILL RUN AGAIN!!!!
Well, he has supported Obama for Governor (I believe he is either a delegate or a Superdelegate). This was before these accusations. Obama himself flew to PR to get his share of change for his campaign I believe twice, and never addressed the press in PR.. I don’t get it! Well he lacked in promises for Puerto Rico, especially the neverending status quo for Puerto Rico. Because he heard of it and that Hillary’s offers topped his, he changed his tune.
I can tell you this: Though I am of Republican upbringing, McCain has done diddly squat to offer anything, hasn’t sent anybody, nor has he made any statements to us. It’s like Puerto Rico does not exist!!! That does not bode well for him. I heard Hillary is very popular because of her promises for Puerto Rico, Obama close second but once primary elections are held in June we will know who’s gonna win. That is, if The Hil does not give it up later this month.
The website I put together, http://estado51.org is to campaign for the ex-governor of Puerto Rico on a “write-in” nomination because of events held on March 9, 2008 where there was a party cross-over welcomed by that candidate. I know you won’t understand anything about that but I have an English document that could fill you in what happened from the leader of the Write-In movement.
Now if Hillary plans to visit PR it is to be seen. Both Clinton and Obama spoke here in Erie @ the Pittsburgh Behrend University in Erie and I saw the plane of one of them packing up and leaving. They were campaigning a couple of days apart from each other.
I read somewhere that Michelle Obama might go to PR to campaign for Obama-who now is distancing himself from the accused governor big time- I don’t think he will fly to avoid the press yet again.

I just asked my 10 year old grandson how many states made up the United States. This Canadian fourth grader was was right on!!

Obama has so many flaws that he is like a damn with not one leak but several. But because he is the Liberal pet politician and the MSM refuses to vet him or question him, all this flaws are deemed ok.
I saw him speak early on in NH when everyone was clammering over him and thought to myself, what a joke. He could not answer one question of any substance.
The American voter be very careful what they wish for. When people were tired of Nixon and scandal, they elected Carter. (Of course after Ford was appointed). They wanted change then to.
I would dare say with the economic issues that this country faces, electing a socialist would make Carter stagflation and the misery index look like child’s play.
