Newtown, CT Victims’ Families Sue Bushmaster, Manufacturer of AR-15, Gun Used by Adam Lanza in 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School Attack

The Sandy Hook Elementary School murders were unspeakable, however, this lawsuit is misguided and Unconstitutional …

The murders of 27 individuals, 20 of whom were children, at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut on December 14, 2012 was a crime so heinous that it was hard to fathom how anyone could be so insane and filled with hate. However, 20 year old gunman Adam Lanza committed this act of violence as he barged into a defenseless elementary school and  took part in the deadliest school shootings in U.S. history. Now the families of nine people killed in the Sandy Hook elementary school massacre are suing Bushmaster, a privately held company based in Windham, Maine that manufacture the AR-15. This was the gun that Lanza used in the mass murders.

The 40 page lawsuit, filed in Connecticut Superior Court in Bridgeport, names Bushmaster, the weapons distributor and the retailer, Riverview in East Windor, that sold the gun used in the shooting as defendants. The plaintiffs seeks unspecified monetary damages.

AR-15

The families of nine people killed in a 2012 massacre at a Newtown, Connecticut, elementary school sued the maker of the gun used in the attack on Monday, saying the weapon should not have been sold because it had no reasonable civilian purpose.

While the AR-15 assault weapon used in the attack on Sandy Hook Elementary School was legally sold in Connecticut, the lawsuit contends that the weapon should not have been available to 20-year-old gunman Adam Lanza. The AR-15 is manufactured by Bushmaster, a privately held company based in Windham, Maine.

Lanza shot dead 20 first-graders and six educators in the Dec. 14, 2012, attack, which stands as one of the deadliest school shootings in U.S. history. The massacre sparked a fresh debate on gun rights, which are protected by the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

“This is a weapon that is designed for military use, for killing as many people as efficiently as possible,” Michael Koskoff, a lawyer for the plaintiffs, said in a phone interview. “It’s negligent for any seller to sell a weapon like that to the general public.”

As tragic as the Sandy Hook Elementary school massacre was and as much we hope that the families affected by this tragedy can move forward from this devastating act of violence at the hands of Adam Lanza, I am sorry but this law suit is misguided. The gun was legally bought by Adam Lanza’s mother, who was also murdered by this sick kid. The guns were legally registered to Nancy Lanza. Adam Lanza was refused the purchase of a firearm as he did not pass back ground checks. If anyone was negligent, one might say it was the mother who shared her gun enthusiasm with her mentally deranged son and did not properly lock them away from this killer. Millions of Americans own AR-15′s and use them for person and civilian use. The notion that plaintiff attorneys say that this weapon is only for military use is incorrect. The AR-15 is not an assault weapon, however, the liberal MSM would like you to think so. What Adam Lanza did was an heinous an act possible … but suing a gun manufacturer that is protected by the Second Amendment and followed all the laws is wrong.

Sandy Hook Families File Wrongful-Death Suit Against Gun Manufacturer:

The lawsuit, hand-delivered to a Connecticut state marshal on Saturday, names as defendants Bushmaster Firearms International LLC, which is owned by Remington Outdoor Co.; Camfour, a company that distributes Bushmaster products; and Riverview Gun Sales, a East Windsor, Conn., gun shop that sold the rifle to Ms. Lanza.

It claims the gunmaker, the firearms distributor, and the store that sold firearm are liable for producing and selling a weapon unfit for civilian use, reports WSJ’s Joseph De Avila.

Remington declined to comment. Camfour and Riverview Gun Sales didn’t return requests for comment.

George Kollitides, the chief executive of Remington Outdoor, told the Washington Times in June 2013 that Mr. Lanza alone, and not the rifle, was to blame for the killings.

“It’s very easy to blame an inanimate object,” he said. “Any kind of instrument in the wrong hands can be put to evil use. This comes down to intent — criminal behavior, accountability and responsibility.”

Peter Lanza, the Father of Sandy Hook Elementary School shooter Adam Lanza Gives First Interview: He Would have Killed Me ‘in a Heartbeat’ … “You Can’t Get Any More Evil” … “Wishes His Son Was Never Born”

Peter Lanza, the father of the Sandy Hook Elementary school shooter Adam Lanza, gave his first interview since the horrendous mass murder in Newton, CT. Peter Lanza was interviewed by the New Yorker and stated, “With hindsight, I know Adam would have killed me in a heartbeat, if he’d had the chance.” Peter also had a motive behind the reason why his son shot his mother multiple times; “The reason he shot Nancy four times was one for each of us: one for Nancy; one for him; one for (his brother) Ryan; one for me.” He would later say with regards to the mass killing of children and teachers at the school,”You can’t get any more evil.”

The father of the Sandy Hook Elementary School gunman Adam Lanza says he carries guilt about his son’s violent rampage and then says something that probably comes as one of the worst thing they can ever say as a parent, Peter Lanza “wishes his son had never been born”.  I bet there are families of 26 victims from Sandy Hook that would say the same.

The father of Sandy Hook Elementary School shooter Adam Lanza said his son would have killed him if he’d had the opportunity.

“With hindsight, I know Adam would have killed me in a heartbeat, if he’d had the chance,” Peter Lanza told New Yorker magazine in an interview that appears in the March 17 issue.

It’s the first time Peter Lanza has spoken publicly about his son.

“The reason he shot Nancy four times was one for each of us: one for Nancy; one for him; one for (his brother) Ryan; one for me,” he said.

The New Yorker: The ReckoningThe father of the Sandy Hook killer searches for answers. by Andrew Solomon

Peter hadn’t seen his son for two years at the time of the Sandy Hook killings, and, even with hindsight, he doesn’t think that the catastrophe could have been predicted. But he constantly thinks about what he could have done differently and wishes he had pushed harder to see Adam. “Any variation on what I did and how my relationship was had to be good, because no outcome could be worse,” he said. Another time, he said, “You can’t get any more evil,” and added, “How much do I beat up on myself about the fact that he’s my son? A lot.”

Depending on whom you ask, there were twenty-six, twenty-seven, or twenty-eight victims in Newtown. It’s twenty-six if you count only those who were murdered at Sandy Hook Elementary School; twenty-seven if you include Nancy Lanza; twenty-eight if you judge Adam’s suicide a loss. There are twenty-six stars on the local firehouse roof. On the anniversary of the shootings, President Obama referred to “six dedicated school workers and twenty beautiful children” who had been killed, and the governor of Connecticut asked churches to ring their bells twenty-six times. Some churches in Newtown had previously commemorated the victims by ringing twenty-eight times, but a popular narrative had taken hold in which Nancy—a gun enthusiast who had taught Adam to shoot—was an accessory to the crime, rather than its victim. Emily Miller, an editor at the Washington Times, wrote, “We can’t blame lax gun-control laws, access to mental health treatment, prescription drugs or video games for Lanza’s terrible killing spree. We can point to a mother who should have been more aware of how sick her son had become and forced treatment.” (read the full story HERE)

“Sacrilege” and an “Abomination” … Claremont United Methodist Church in California Replaces Baby Jesus in Nativity Scene with Bloody, Hooded Trayvon Martin (VIDEO)

ARE YOU KIDDING ME … JUST HOW FRIGGIN OFFENSIVE COULD THESE PEOPLE POSSIBLY BE?

The Claremont United Methodist Church, about 30 miles east of Los Angeles, California, and John Zachary, the individual behind the “artistic interpretation,”  has managed to infuriate many with their depiction of the Nativity scene this Christmas season by replacing the baby Jesus with Trayvon Martin. Yup … because some how I get the two of them confused all off the time. I just have two words, “Sacrilege” and an “Abomination”!!! All in the name of “artistic interpretation” these fools have managed to desecrate the Birth of Christ by replacing the innocence of the Baby Jesus, the son of God, Our Savior with the hoody-wearing, Trayvon Martin, slumped over, shot in the chest with blood pouring out on to the ground. UNREAL. Wow, because some how Trayvon Martin is supposed to symbolize the innocence of a child, really? Who knew the drug using, pot smoking, middle finger displaying, gun carrying, school skipping, gangsta fightin’ thug was so innocent. Oh that’s right, those pics were not immiscible.

One does not even know where to begin here. In the name of “social justice” they would do such sacrilege. But such things are perfectly okay, because while defaming the birth of Christ, there is a liberal message. You can poke others in the eye, but then cry foul when there is an overwhelming negative response. In the past,  Zachary has depicted Mary and Joseph as a modern-day homeless couple; as Mexicans stopped by the U.S.-Mexico border fence; as Iraq War refugees; and in 2010, just Mary by herself, as a black woman in prison with her baby. What, you mean that they have not portrayed Mary and Joseph as Michelle and Barack Obama? Or is that next year?

On the lawn of a Claremont church, just like at many churches at this time of year, cutouts of wise men on camelback head toward a makeshift stable, a meager wooden structure where Mary and Joseph have huddled inside.

But instead of an infant Jesus cradled in his mother’s arms, the Nativity at Claremont United Methodist Church — the creation of congregant and artist John Zachary — features a depiction of Trayvon Martin slumped over in his hoodie, a pool of his blood spreading over a bed of straw.

For several years, Zachary has brought his artistic interpretations of the Nativity — as well as the occasional controversy — to the church, as he used a scene that traditionally conveys themes of joy and innocence to spread messages of social justice. Over the last few years, his installations have touched on homelessness, poverty and acceptance of gay families.

He decided over the summer that this year’s scene would include the Florida teenager whose shooting death captured the nation’s attention. Zachary said he wanted to draw a parallel between rampant gun violence and the dark time in which Jesus was born.

“He was, in my view, an innocent child like the innocent children killed by King Herod,” Zachary, 57, said of Martin. “I think the Nativity has to be relevant to our time. I think Jesus is a symbol of hope and I think he has to be seen in today’s context.”

Want to get even more outraged, watch the VIDEO below of John Zachary attempted to explain his twisted and deranged logic of his interpretation meant to shock people. Sorry, but this is not supposed to be thought provoking, it is just meant to be PROVOKING! Just curious, why is innocent gun violence depicted as Trayvon Martin? If one is going to go this route, wouldn’t true innocent lives lost at the hands of gun violence be the 20 children that were killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School?

In the VIDEO below check out the shirt that John Zachary is wearing … Islam convert Mohammed Ali, hmm, I think some one just lost a bit of credibility.

Zachary,57, told media he added the slain teenager’s likeness this year to show the parallel between rampant gun violence and the dark time Jesus was born in.

“He was, in my view, an innocent child like the innocent children killed by King Herod,” Zachary told the Los Angeles Times. “I think the Nativity has to be relevant to our time. I think Jesus is a symbol of hope and I think he has to be seen in today’s context.”

Check Out their Facebook page with comments of individuals who are outraged and disgusted. But what else should we expect from a Hollywood production designer? Next year I guess the Baby Jesus will be replaced with Mohammed. I can’t wait until 2016 when Mary and Joseph will be Bill and Hillary Clinton and the baby Jesus will be the Obamamessiah. According to accounts, Zachary’s 2011 Nativity display included depictions of gay couples and was vandalized and investigated by police as a hate crime. Imagine that … because there is nothing hateful about depicting Mary and Joseph as a gay couple, now is there?

UPDATE I: Just how irresponsible and factually incorrect is it to some how portray Trayvon Martin as the symbol of innocence lost at the hands of gun violence when a the VIDEO below shows, Trayvon was no stranger to guns, fighting and drugs.

The text messages include a conversation from November 2011 in which he appears to say his mother has kicked him out of the house after “da police caught me outta skool.”

“So you just turning into a lil hoodlum,” the person with whom he is texting says.

“Naw, I’m a gangsta,” the text message read.

In other messages, text message exchanges appear to be discussing guns.

“U wanna share a .380 w/ (blacked out),” one text message sent from Martin’s phone reads.

Tyranny: U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms Revokes License of Gun Shop that Legally Sold Weapon to Mother of Adam Lanza Used in Newtown Elementary School Shootings

Be very afraid America, think the United States government does not participate in intimidation and tyranny, think again …

As reported at Reuters, the United States Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms has revoked the license to the Connecticut gun retailer that sold a weapon “LEGALLY” to the mother of Adam Lanza. That same gun was used illegally by Adam Lanza in the mass murders to kill his mother by shooting her in the face and then used to kill 26 individuals, including 20 children at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT. The ATF has confirmed that the Riverview Gun Sales in East Windsor, Connecticut license has been revoked. The ATF did not publicly disclose a reason for the closure. HUH, this is still America, is it not?

The U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms said on Friday it had revoked the federal license of a Connecticut gun retailer that sold a weapon to the mother of Adam Lanza, who killed 26 people at an elementary school in December. The agency on December 20 revoked the license of Riverview Gun Sales in East Windsor, Connecticut, ATF spokeswoman Debora Seifert said. The revocation was reported in The Journal News, of Westchester County, New York, on Friday. “We did revoke their federal firearms license,” she said. The agency did not publicly disclose a reason for the closure.

Welcome to Obama’s Union of Soviet Socialist Republics of America. How is it that the US government can  take a businesses license that has violated no law that we know of and provide no explanation or reason for the closure? This is the definition of tyranny. As stated at Weasel Zippers, this is done to intimidate and provide a scare tactic to other gun stores that sell a legal product to other legal and law abiding citizens. How is a gun store responsible for legally selling a legal product and the irresponsibility of the buyer? This is how tyrannical our federal government has become. They will hunt you down and make an example out of you if you dare do not agree with their liberal, anti-Second Amendment agenda.

Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) on Obama Politicizing Newtown, CT Shoooting … Mr. President “Call Me If Any of Your Reforms Would Have Saved Those Kids at Sandy Hook”

Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) discusses Barack Obama’s gun control stump speech and his politicization of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings that killed 26 individuals. However, as Senator Paul stated, nothing of what Barack Obama is calling for would have prevented the murders at Sandy Hook. Far be it from Obama not to let an exploitable situation go to waste to further his anti-Second Amendment gun grabbing agenda.

“I think it’s a mistake for either side to politicize this. The president uses them as a backdrop and drama for getting some kind of political will. But, my question to the president is, ‘Call me if any of your reforms would have saved those kids at Sandy Hook.” If anything he’s proposing would have changed the outcome I’ll listen to him.”
