Fox News – 9/11 coverage as it happened Part 1
Fox News – 9/11 Part 2
Mullah Omar, is he dead or alive? Preferably, the latter. Omar was the leader of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan who was wanted by the United States for sheltering al Qaeda terrorist Osama bin Laden for years prior to the 9/11 attacks. The Afghan government has confirmed Taliban leader Mullah Mohammad Omar has been dead since 2013; however, the Afghan president’s and prime minister’s offices offered no specifics as to how or when Omar died. However, final confirmation is needed.
The Afghan government confirmed Wednesday it was looking into reports that longtime Taliban leader Mullah Omar had died.
“We have also seen reports in the media on the death of Mullah Omar, we are assessing those reports,” President Ashraf Ghani’s deputy spokesperson Zafar Hashemi told journalists during a press conference.
Rumors have swirled for years that the one-eyed leader of the militant group that ruled Afghanistan until being toppled by U.S.-backed forces 2001 had passed away. The State Department was offering a $10-million reward for information leading to him.
Earlier Wednesday, an Afghan intelligence official told NBC News the government had come to the conclusion Omar had died.
The source who spoke to NBC News on condition of anonymity said that the issue of Mullah Omar’s death was raised at a meeting with security ministers and members of the country’s high peace council, which is negotiating with the militants.
Radio Free Europe – Afghan Officials Says Taliban Leader Mullah Omar Dead.
Zafar Hashemi, a spokesman for Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, told reporters in Kabul on July 29: “We have received reports about Taliban leader Mullah Omar’s death. At this point, we can’t confirm or deny it. We are assessing the reports.”
There was no immediate reaction to the reports by Afghanistan’s Taliban.
The Taliban’s official spokesmen have repeatedly denied previous reports of Mullah Omar’s death.
But Fidai Mahaz, a splinter group of the Taliban that does not support peace talks with the Afghan government, announced last week earlier that Mullah Omar was dead and had been replaced by Taliban deputy leader Mullah Akhtar Mohammad Mansur.
The reports of Mullah Omar’s death by authorities in Kabul comes at a critical time, with a second round of peace talks between Taliban representatives and Afghan government negotiators scheduled in Pakistan on July 31.
22 Year Old One America News Host Tomi Lahren Tells Obama to “Be A Leader” Following the Death of 4 Marines & One Sailor in Chatanooga, TN
FINAL THOUGHTS FROM LAHREN …
What, you don’t know who Tomi Lahren is? You will after you watch the below VIDEO. The 22 year old has finally said what most Americans have thought and feel. She rips into Obama and the political hacks in Washington, DC and their failed startegy.Talk about being ‘On Pont’ … “‘I’ve had it with this failed strategy – this half-way, half-baked, tip-toe, be-friendly-to-Jihadis mentality pushed by this administration. Be a leader!”
“This won’t take long, but it’s important,” she said at the outset of her monologue. “Four United States Marines are now dead. Climate change didn’t kill them. Lack of free community college did not kill them. The income gap, wage inequality — nope, not those things either. Gay marriage? Nope. Oh, white racism? Not that either. So what did? President Obama, if you won’t say it, I will: radical Islam.”

So what makes this 4th of July so special …
The authorities are saying that there has been no specific, credible threat; however, they are warning of possible lone wolf terrorist acts this 4th o July weekend. As reported at CNN, as Americans get ready for the holiday weekend, the Department of Homeland Security, FBI and the National Counterterrorism Center have issued a bulletin to law enforcement across the country warning of the possibility of an imminent strike against the United States. Intelligence agencies are watching as online chatter rises. But how is this different than past years? Could it possible be that ISIS, the so-called JV terrorist group as once stated by Barack Obama is now very active and successful in using social media to recruit “lone wolfs” to commit terror acts?
This 4th of July weekend, have fun, enjoy your time but be vigilant.
Since the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, American counterterrorism officials have increased security at national landmarks and large public events ahead of major holidays or significant anniversaries, and issued bulletins calling for increased vigilance by the public.
But this Fourth of July weekend has spawned particularly strong warnings about a potential attack as the federal authorities and national security experts say the United States is more susceptible now because of tactics chosen for recent terrorist strikes by the Islamic State.
Officials cite an increased effort by the Islamic State to galvanize its sympathizers in the United States and elsewhere since Memorial Day and during this Ramadan season to carry out acts of violence on their own — so-called lone-wolf attacks. Those potential plots by individuals are harder for the authorities to detect and disrupt, senior American officials say, and have led the F.B.I. to put more Americans under investigation for suspected ties to terrorist groups than at any point since Sept. 11.
At the same time, senior American officials acknowledge that, as with many past holidays and anniversaries, they know of no specific terror plot against targets in the United States. And while militants have said in previous years that they would like to pull off an attack on a major national holiday, there has not been a successful terrorist strike on American soil on a previous July 4 or similarly high-profile day.
One thing is for certain, if these radical Islamist terrorists ever attacked America on Independence Day, it would be their ultimate demise.
College Student Munther Omar Saleh Arrested in Queens, NY … Supporting Islamic Terrorism & Plotting Terror Attack in NYC
FEDS ARREST MUSLIM COLLEGE STUDENT IN QUEENS, NY …
20 year old college student Munther Omar Saleh has been arrested by the federal authorities in Queens, NY for platting to commit a terror attack in New York City. According to court reports, in September, Saleh posted a message on Twitter that said Al Qaeda was “getting too moderate”, and in February, a message praising the Islamic State, also known as ISIS or ISIL, “for their high end videos, great weaponry and quality fighters”. Saleh is a student at Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology in Queens. The complaint also states, that on May 7, “Saleh emailed himself information from the Internet regarding the construction of a pressure cooker bomb.”
The father claims that his son was set up and was doing simple internet searches like any other 20 year old. Yup, just like any other Muslim sympathizer doing searches of pressure cookers, how to make bombs, firearms, ammunition, drones, bullet proof vests and NYC tourist attractions. Oh yeah, and he endorsed the Charlie Hebdo massacre, the burning to death of a Jordanian pilot and the beheading of a Chinese journalist. Yup, just your typical misunderstood kid.
Munther Omar Saleh
According to court documents, the 20-year-old espoused jihadist beliefs online and openly supported ISIS activities via Twitter, including the Charlie Hebdo massacre in France, the burning to death of a Jordanian pilot and the beheading of a Japanese journalist. He also allegedly tweeted support for the terror attack in Garland, Texas in May.
Saleh landed on federal authorities’ radar after allegedly loitering on the George Washington Bridge on two consecutive days in March, Carlin reported. He was spotted by a Port Authority of New York and New Jersey police officer, WCBS 880’s Marla Diamond reported.
A further investigation into Saleh’s activities uncovered possible plans to detonate an explosive device in New York City on behalf of the terror group, court documents said.
Investigators claim he also used his personal computer to search topics ranging from weapons and pressure cookers, to eluding police and disguises.
The specific searches allegedly included, “construction of a pressure cooker bomb,” “firearms,” “ammunition,” “bulletproof vests,” “drones,” and “New York City landmarks and tourist attractions.”
In May, an informant posing as a terrorist sympathizer said he spoke to Saleh, who reportedly said “I’m in NY and I’m trying to do an Op.”
Radical Imam Anjem Choudary Says on Live TV that Pamela Geller She Should be Put to Death for Hosting Mohammed Cartoon Contest (VIDEO)
WELCOME TO ISLAM FREEDOM OF SPEECH …
If you missed it, watch below the amazing exchange from FOX News – Hannity between Radical London Imam Anjem Choudary and Pamela Geller. During the interview, Iman Choudary said that Pamela Geller should be brought in front of a Sharia court and put to death for her actions. That is correct, on LIVE TV Choudary called for the death of Geller and wanted her dead for deliberately hosting a cartoon contest that insulted the prophet Mohammad. The hell with free protected speech as afforded by the United States Constitution, this Iman wants Geller in front of a Muslim Sharia court and be put to death. Welcome to Islam, the religion of Peace.
After Geller had to listen to the vile threats from Choudary, it was her turn to talk; however, the radical Iman kept interrupting her. That was when Pam Geller had the line of the night and said to Anjem Choudary, “I’m talking, sir … I know you’re used to stepping over women but you’re not going to have it here.”
ARRESTS MADE IN ITALY FOR 2010 SUICIDE BOMB PLOT AGAINST THE VATICAN AND POPE BENEDICT XVI …
As reported at Reuters, Italian security forces have arrested 18 radical Islamic extremists Friday who prosecutors said were behind a failed 2010 plot to attack the Vatican as well as a bombing at a Pakistan market that killed more than 100 a year earlier. Prosecutor Mauro Mura stated in Cagliari, Sardinia that wiretaps indicated the suspected terrorists, including two former bodyguards for Usama bin Laden, planned a bomb attack at the Vatican and went as far as to send a suicide bomber to Rome.
Italian police were arresting 18 people on Friday suspected of belonging to an armed group linked to al Qaeda who were plotting attacks on the Vatican as well as in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Some of the suspects, who are all Pakistanis and Afghans, were arrested in early morning raids across Italy. Police burst into the home of the group’s suspected spiritual leader, in the northern city of Bergamo, a video released by them showed.
Though the suspects were plotting attacks mainly in their native countries, phone taps suggest the Vatican was also a target, said Mauro Mura, chief prosecutor of the Sardinian city of Cagliari, where the group based its headquarters.
In the tapped conversations, the suspects discuss “a big jihad in Italy,” added Mario Carta, head of the police unit on the case. They reference the word “baba”, which could mean the pope, Carta said.
“We don’t have proof, we have strong suspicion,” that the Holy See was a possible target, he added.
Raids were carried out simultaneously in seven different Italian provinces with arrest warrants for 18 suspected Islamic extremists following a lengthy investigation in Cagliari, capital of the Italian island Sardinia.
Authorities uncovered plans for a suicide bomber plot against the Vatican in 2010, when Pope Benedict XVI was pontiff. Evidence includes a “martyr’s vow” from a would-be suicide bomber threatening to strike against the Vatican, the spiritual focal point for the world’s 1.2 billion Catholics.
Mario Carta, an official from the counter-terror police force that carried out the raids, called it “one of the most important operations ever carried out in Italy.” Police said the operation targeted an “extremely well-structured terror network” based in Sardinia since at least 2005 that was made up of Pakistani and Afghan nationals.
Nine people have been arrested, and two are still at large in Italy. Seven of the suspects are believed to be in Pakistan, Carta said.
Chris Wallace Grills CIA Director John Brennan on ISIS & Iran … “Didn’t You Give the American People and the President Give the American People a False Sense of Confidence Back in 2012 about Our Fight Against Islamic Terrorists at a Time”
Chris Wallace asks, Director, can we really say ISIS is losing?
Yesterday on Fox News Sunday, Chris Wallace interviewed CIA Director John Brennan and asked some very direct questions when it came to the treats from both Iran and ISIS. Wallace asked why the Obama administration refuses to call or enemy for what they are, “Islamic extremists” and why President Obama and John Brennan have rejected identifying them for what they are. Brennan replied that ISIS was simply “a corruption of the Islamic faith.” REALLY? Director Brennen might want to read the Koran. It is not a corruption of the Islam, it is an interpretation that many agree with.
Brennan said the vast majority of Muslims reject ISIS’ actions. Wallace then directly confronted Brennan over why he and the president won’t openly talk about “Islamic extremism.” He asked why the administration is “ignoring” confronting them like that.
Brennan simply insisted that “it is a corruption of the Islamic faith.”
Sadly, the CIA director sounded more like a shill for Barack Obama than truly understanding and caring about the safety and protection of the United States. There were far too many references to touting Barack Obama and John Kerry during this interview as compared to folks like formal CIA director General David Petraeus and Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who are persona non grata with the Obama administration.
WALLACE: Do you really think that the U.S. and Iran share interests?
BRENNAN: I think what’s Daesh, ISIL has been doing in the region is something that is counter to U.S. interests as well as counter to Iranian interests. And the Iranians are now engaged with their Iraqi partners to try to push back these forces of terrorism inside of Iraq.
So, Iran does have an interest in preventing further Daesh, ISIL terrorist attacks. At the same time, I think they need to be responsible as far as what they’re doing inside Iraq and not further inflaming that situation.
WALLACE: But your immediate predecessor in this job, General David Petraeus, said this week Iran is not an ally. It’s part of the problem, not part of the solution. And Benjamin Netanyahu, when he spoke to Congress, said the enemy of your enemy is not your friend, he is your enemy. [...]
WALLACE: General Lloyd Austin, the head of the U.S. Central Command, told Congress recently that ISIS is losing. But ISIS is still dug into Iraq and Syria. They now have affiliates across North Africa. They were possibly responsible for these terrible attacks this week in Tunisia and Yemen.
Director, can we really say ISIS is losing?
BRENNAN: Clearly, ISIS momentum inside of Iraq and Syria has been blunted and it has been stopped. So, they are not on the march as they were several months ago. And so, our working with the Iraqis and the Iraqis now trying to push back against it, it is having some great, I think, progress.
At the same time, this phenomenon of Daesh throughout the entire region is something that we need to work with our partners. We see what’s happening in other countries, in these franchises that are blowing up in Libya and other areas. They — they’ve claimed responsibility for attacks in Tunisia and Yemen.
This is something that clearly is not just restricted to Iraq and Syria. So, we cannot relent. We have to continue working with our partners in the region.
WALLACE: Here is what you said in 2012.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
BRENNAN: If the decade before 9/11 was the time of al Qaeda’s rise and the decade after 9/11 was the time of its decline, then I believe this decade will be the one that sees its demise.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
WALLACE: Director Brennan, weren’t you just flat wrong about that?
BRENNAN: No. And when we look at al Qaeda and we look at what has happened to al Qaeda and particularly the core of al Qaeda that was in the area of Afghanistan and Pakistan, they have taken some really big hits.
WALLACE: But — but, respectfully, sir, when you were saying this is the decade of al Qaeda’s demise, I don’t think most people thought you meant, well, yes, but there will be an offshoot called ISIS which spreads across the Middle East.
BRENNAN: This phenomenon that Daesh represents right now is a new one. It is one that has grown up in the past two years.
WALLACE: But it’s an offshoot of al Qaeda.
BRENNAN: We’ve done a lot against al Qaeda. We’ve been able to push them back. We’ve been able to prevent their attacks.
But there are these offshoots, as you say. This is a phenomenon that we’re going to have to deal with. And I do think over the next decade, this is going to be a long, hard fight.
WALLACE: I guess what I’m asking is didn’t you give the American people — and the president give the American people a false sense of confidence back in 2012 about our fight against Islamic terrorists at a time, perhaps not so coincidentally, when the president was running for reelection?
BRENNAN: What we said was al Qaeda was on the run. We said that al Qaeda was really bloodied and it was not the same organization that it was in 9/11, as well as in the years after that.
There was no sense that I think either I or the president or others gave to the American people that terrorism was going away. But we’ve made great progress against a lot of these groups that had plans in place to carry out attacks.
WALLACE: You talked recently of the ideology — your word — that fuels ISIS.
What is that ideology?
BRENNAN: It is a very twisted, perverted interpretation of a religion that they purport to represent, but in no way do they represent. It’s an ideology of violence. That’s what it is. It is not a religious ideology.
WALLACE: Well, Islam is certainly a part of it, isn’t it?
BRENNAN: They purport to be Muslims. But as I said, the overwhelming majority of Muslims throughout the world roundly denounce and condemn what they’re doing. And that’s why we should not give them any type of religious legitimacy.
WALLACE: This gets to your refusal and the president’s refusal to talk about Islamic extremism. (MORE)
JUST WHEN YOU THOUGHT THIS MISLEADER COULDN’T BLAME ANYONE ELSE FOR HIS FAILURES AS PRESIDENT …
THE COMMUNITY AGITATOR IS AT IT AGAIN … In an interview with Vice News, Barack Hussein Obama was provided a soft ball interview with fellow Leftists. Fast forward to the 11:42 minute mark of the video below unless you want to annoy yourself and listen to Obama blather about global warming, his Unconstitutional acts and his terrible Iran deal. Obama is asked, how did ISIS become so popular, so fast? Barack Hussein Obama’s response was to blame Bush. Just curious, isn’t there a statute of limitations on blaming Bush? Obama said, “ISIL is a direct outgrowth of al Qaeda in Iraq that grew out of our invasion. Which is an example of unintended consequences. Which is why we should generally aim before we shoot.”
NO YOU IDIOT … I THOUGHT YOU SAID ISIS WAS THE JV! Obama, you never took them seriously because you take nothing serious. YOU ARE TO BLAME FOR ISIS! INVASION? Mr. President, you are to blame for ISIS as ISIL is a direct outgrowth of al Qaeda in Iraq that grew out of
our invasion Obama’s knee-jerk reaction to leave Iraq too soon and create a power vacuum that allowed the terrorist group to grow. How unbecoming of a president to just not admit fault. Sorry Barack, but the world is a less safe place since you have been president.
President Obama pinned the rise of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) on former President George W. Bush’s invasion of Iraq while calling for more investment in diplomacy and education to stop terrorism.
“Two things: one is, ISIL is a direct outgrowth of al Qaeda in Iraq that grew out of our invasion,” Obama said in an interview with VICE News. “Which is an example of unintended consequences. Which is why we should generally aim before we shoot.”
Obama’s direct shot at Bush comes despite the fulfillment of his own campaign promises to pull troops out of Iraq. Obama completed the troop draw down in 2011 — an achievement the administration touted as a major victory but which left a power vacuum which ISIS is attempting to fill.
Fast forward to the 11:42
This is one sad and pathetic president.
REMEMBER HOW WE WERE TOLD THAT THE UNITED STATES DOES NOT PAY RANSOM FOR HOSTAGES …
As reported at the New York Times, your hard earned tax dollars financing Islamist terrorists. This is just another example that the US government has become too big to succeed. As stated in the article, it was just another in a long list of examples of how the United States, largely because of poor oversight and loose financial controls. In this case, the poor oversight and lack of attention to detail gives hard earned American tax payer dollars to the very evil radical Islamist terrorists we are looking to defeat. UNREAL.
Why does this sound exactly like the brilliance of ‘Fast & Furious’?
In the spring of 2010, Afghan officials struck a deal to free an Afghan diplomat held hostage by Al Qaeda. But the price was steep — $5 million — and senior security officials were scrambling to come up with the money.
They first turned to a secret fund that the Central Intelligence Agency bankrolled with monthly cash deliveries to the presidential palace in Kabul, according to several Afghan officials involved in the episode. The Afghan government, they said, had already squirreled away about $1 million from that fund.
Within weeks, that money and $4 million more provided from other countries was handed over to Al Qaeda, replenishing its coffers after a relentless C.I.A. campaign of drone strikes in Pakistan had decimated the militant network’s upper ranks.
The C.I.A.’s contribution to Qaeda’s bottom line, though, was no well-laid trap. It was just another in a long list of examples of how the United States, largely because of poor oversight and loose financial controls, has sometimes inadvertently financed the very militants it is fighting.
While refusing to pay ransoms for Americans kidnapped by Al Qaeda, the Taliban or, more recently, the Islamic State, the United States has spent hundreds of billions of dollars over the last decade at war in Iraq and Afghanistan, some of which has been siphoned off to enemy fighters.
