GOP Debate II: Donald Trump’s Best Liunes and Zingers of the CNN Republican Debate … “He (Obama) Just Doesn’t Have Courage, There is Something Missing From Our President.”
Republican GOP Debate on CNN …
It was the Donald Trump show once again as all of the other GOP candidates tried to knock The Donald off his perch. However, as usual Trump got off some zingers and lines that will be covered by the media in the post-debate analysis. Probably his best ones were pointed at Jeb Bush, especially when he said the following … “Your brother and your brother’s administration gave us Barack Obama.” Followed up with the disappointment with George W. Bush’s presidency made it impossible to elect a Republican to succeed him: “It was such a disaster those last three months that Abraham Lincoln couldn’t have been elected.”
Love him, hate him or if you are indifferent, Trump has a point.
Donald Trump did it again. After an explosive first debate in which Trump clashed with the moderators and stole the show, the bomb-throwing frontrunner came out swinging at the second Republican debate in Simi Valley, California, on Wednesday. He dissed Rand Paul (twice), put down George Pataki and hit Jeb Bush with a backhanded compliment. He also had plenty of praise — for himself and his business record.
Here are his 14 most quotable lines from the second Republican debate. (read here)

90 year old, former president George H.W. Bush was hospitalized overnight at the Houston Methodist Hospital after experiencing shortness of breath. A statement from the 41st president of the United State’s office said that the elder Bush was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure.
Former President George H.W. Bush was hospitalized on Tuesday evening after experiencing what a spokesman called a “shortness of breath.”
Bush, 90, was taken by ambulance to Houston Methodist Hospital Tuesday evening as a precaution. The former president will remain there under observation.
In late 2012, he was admitted to the hospital with a bronchitis-related cough. Bush was released Nov. 19 but returned the day after Thanksgiving with a persistent cough. He was later admitted to intensive care with a stubborn fever. Bush spent that Christmas at the hospital, only leaving intensive care on Dec. 30.
Presidential spokesman Eric Schultz issued a statement on behalf of Barack Obama: “The President has been made aware that President Bush was admitted to the hospital. President Obama and the First Lady send their good wishes to the former President and the entire Bush family during this holiday season.” I guess Obama was too busy to interrupt his vacation and golfing to make a statement himself.
Despite having “another terrific day,” former President George H.W. Bush will spend a third night in a Texas hospital, his office announced on Christmas.
The 41st president “is in great spirits” and wishes everyone a merry Christmas, his office said in a statement Thursday. He received visits from his wife, former first lady Barbara Bush, and from his son and daughter-in-law Neil and Maria Bush, it said.
Whack Job Benjamin Smith Arrested for Threatening to Kill George W. Bush … “I have to slay a dragon and Barbara Bush is mine”
44 year old Benjamin Smith was arrested Friday after threatening to kill former President George W. Bush. Smith was arrested in Manhattan, NY sitting in his car with a loaded .38-caliber rifle, two boxes of ammunition, a container of gasoline and a machete. According to the complaint, Benjamin Smith, a resident of upstate New York, threatened to “kill, kidnap and inflict bodily harm” on Bush. Smith professed a love interest in Barbara Bush, one of the Bush 43′s twin daughters, according to the complaint filed Friday in U.S. District Court in Manhattan.
A New York man sitting in a car armed with a rifle, a container of gasoline and a machete was arrested Friday after allegedly threatening to kill former President George W. Bush, according to a federal court complaint.
Benjamin Smith, 44, threatened to “kill, kidnap and inflict bodily harm” on Mr. Bush, and he professed a love interest in one of the former president’s twin daughters, Barbara, the complaint said, CNN reported.
“Bush will get his,” Smith allegedly screamed as he was taken into custody. When asked about his marital status, Smith said, “I’m divorced and not currently seeing anyone, but I am working on a relationship with Barbara Bush,” according to the complaint.
Secret Service agents found Smith on Friday morning sitting in his car in Manhattan with a loaded .38-caliber rifle, two boxes of ammunition, a container of gasoline and a machete, CNN said.
”I’m going to work for George W. Bush and the pentagon,” Smith allegedly wrote. “I have to slay a dragon and Barbara Bush is mine.”
Smith’s mother also told police that a rifle was missing from the house.
Secret Service agents were able to track Smith’s cell phone to a Midtown street in Manhattan on Friday, where he was taken into custody around 6 a.m.
During questioning Smith appeared to be fixated on the daughter of George W. Bush, according to the complaint.
When he was asked about his marital status, he responded, “I am divorced and not currently seeing anyone but I am working on a relationship with Barbara Bush.”

Bush, 88, whose husband George H.W. Bush was president from 1989 to 1993, used her prominence as first lady to champion numerous civic and charitable causes, primarily as an advocate for global literacy.
We wish her a speedy recovery!
“I cannot thank the doctors and nurses at Houston Methodist enough for making sure I got the best treatment and got back to George and our dogs as quickly as possible,” the former first lady said in a statement Saturday.
Jenna Bush Hager Gives Birth to Baby Girl … Margaret Laura ‘Mila’ Hager, Making GWB and Laura Bush Grandparents
Congratulations to Jenna Bush Hager and her husband Henry Hager on the birth of their daughter, Margaret Laura ‘Mila’ Hager. The baby was named after her two grandmothers and already has a nickname — “Mila.” It would appear that this is a Bush family tradition, as Jenna and twin Barbara were named after their grandmothers, too. 31 year old Jenna Bush Hager, wow, I cannot believe she is 31, where have the years gone, gave birth to her first child last night, April 13, at 8:43pm in New York City and an undisclosed NYC hospital.
Former first couple George W. and Laura Bush said Sunday they were “elated” at the news their daughter Jenna had given birth to a girl.
“Laura and I are thrilled to announce the birth of our grandchild, Margaret Laura ‘Mila’ Hager,” the first-time grandparents wrote in a statement, noting the new addition to the Bush family was named for her grandmothers.
“She was born last night, April 13, at 8:43pm in New York City. We met our beautiful granddaughter today. Jenna and Mila are healthy. And our family is elated,” they continued.
Jenna Bush Hager, 31, announced in December that she was expecting her first child, who is also the first grandchild for the former president and his wife. At the time, she said she was “nervous and so excited” about the pregnancy.

Legendary Journalist Bob Woodward Calls Out Obama For Sequestration … “That’s a kind of madness that I haven’t seen in a long time” (Video)
File this one under the category when someone in the main stream media actually does their job and holds a president accountable no matter what his party affiliation.
Legendary journalist Bob Woodward of “Watergate” fame is calling out President Barack Obama as the deadline for sequestration nears. As the Obama White House uses scare tactics instead of leadership telling Americans that all things will cease to exist, families will suffer, children will go hungry and the sun will not come up tomorrow … Bob Woodward calls out Obama and likens his actions to madness. Woodward blasted President Obama for playing politics with sequestration and putting the United States at national security rick.
It’s one think for Republicans or conservative media to say that Obama is showing a failure to lead, but then one of the journalistic lions like Bob Woodward says it … everyone takes notice and listens.
Transcript from Real Clear Politics:
Can you imagine Ronald Reagan sitting there and saying ‘Oh, by the way, I can’t do this because of some budget document?’ Or George W. Bush saying, ‘You know, I’m not going to invade Iraq because I can’t get the aircraft carriers I need’ or even Bill Clinton saying, ‘You know, I’m not going to attack Saddam Hussein’s intelligence headquarters,’ as he did when Clinton was president because of some budget document? Under the Constitution, the president is commander-in-chief and employs the force. And so we now have the president going out because of this piece of paper and this agreement, I can’t do what I need to do to protect the country. That’s a kind of madness that I haven’t seen in a long time.
It certainly is madness. Yes, just imagine how the liberal MSM would be reporting this story if Reagan or either of the Bush presidents has done the same and put party politics over country?
This is going to leave a mark against Obama. Bob Woodward is a respected journalist and it is going to be fool hearty for Obama and his minion to tarnish Woodward’s image. Although they will certainly try.
President Barack Obama Averaged 49.1% Job Approval During First Term in Office, Among the Lowest of Post World War II Presidents
Second Term Mandate … Hardly.
According to Gallup, President Barack Hussein Obama’s job approval during his first term in office was among the lowest of ant of the post-World War II presidents. His average of 49.1% during his first term and 48.1% during his final year of his first term is only above Jimmy Carter and George H.G. Bush. However, these two individuals lost reelection. With a consistent high unemployment rate, record number of individuals on food stamps, near record low job participation and record debt, it makes one scratch their heads how GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney did not defeat Obama.
One really has to wonder just how low Barack Obama’s job approval ratings would be if he did not have the liberal MSM carrying his water and opening supporting and campaigning for him. How would the American people feel about Barack Obama if they did not have a lying and complicit propagandist media running cover for him? It explains how such an epic failure of a president was reelected. Which begs the questions, had it not been for the corrupt liberal media complex, would a lazy and apathetic America still voted him in for a second term or would they still have bought into Obama’s divisiveness and class warfare?
President Barack Obama averaged 49.1% job approval during his first term in office, among the lowest for post-World War II presidents. Only Jimmy Carter and Gerald Ford had lower job approval averages. Obama’s first-term average is most similar to Bill Clinton’s. Lyndon Johnson, John Kennedy, and Dwight Eisenhower were the most popular first-term presidents.
Obama’s first-term approval average, like those of most presidents with lower first-term averages, was likely dragged down by a sluggish economy. Clinton and Reagan saw higher second-term approval as the economy improved. Obama’s approval rating has also shown improvement, with a 48.1% average in his fourth year in office after a 44.4% average in his third year.
Democrat Pat Caddell: “There Is a Purposeful Conscious Effort to Suppress News That Might Hurt Obama” (Video)
From liberal media bias … to the Press now actively engaged in determining an election … “Purposeful Conscious Effort to Suppress News That Might Hurt Obama”
During an interview on The O’Reilly Factor, Democratic pollster Pat Caddell told Bill O’Reilly tonight that there is a purposeful conscious effort to suppress news that might hurt Obama. In a speech seen n the below VIDEO, Caddell stated that if any other President of either party, whether it was Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, George Bush, Ronald Regan, or George H.W. Bush had a terrorist incident and got on a plane and flew off to a fund raiser in Las Vegas, they would have been crucified by the press. However, not for Barack Obama, nothing was said at all, and nothing will be said.
“Purposeful Conscious Effort to Suppress News That Might Hurt Obama”
VIDEO Hat Tip: The Gateway Pundit
“Whether its organized or a straight conspiracy and we have gone down a slippery slope here. Look Bill, we’ve had liberal bias or bias in the press for a long time. And it’s gotten worse starting in 2008. But now we’ve got a press that is actively engaged in a reelection – putting out a narrative that Romney is a loser, they’re running polls… But Romney’s not my issue here. More importantly they not only decided to support Obama. On this issue the last two weeks what we see is a press that has decided that it will not tell the American people the truth.”
George H.W. Bush Endorses Mitt Romney … Know When To Hold ‘Em, Know When to Fold ‘Em … Paul Ryan to Endorse Romney As Well
GOP Presidential primary candidate Mitt Romney has gained yet another big enforcement, this time it is former President George H. W. Bush. The former President Bush 41 called for Republican unity behind Romney as stated as Kenny Roger’s once sang, “You got to know when to hold ‘em and know when to fold ‘em … know when to walk away and know when to run”.
Spouting some home-grown Texas wisdom, President George H. W. Bush urged his party to coalesce behind GOP candidate Mitt Romney with a formal endorsement Thursday.
“‘It’s time when to hold ‘em and time when to fold ‘em,’” the elder Bush said, quoting Texas crooner Kenny Rogers after an interjected reminder from his wife, Barbara. “I think it’s time for people to all get behind this good man.”
Earlier this week Mitt Romney gained the endorsement from Tea party darling Florida US Senator Marco Rubio. The word on the street is that later today US House Representative from Wisconsin Paul Ryan will endorse Romney as well.
Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan, the icon of the anti-spending movement in the Republican Party, has communicated to former Senator Rick Santorum that he will endorse Mitt Romney, according to a source familiar with the conversation.
The move is also timed to end the Republican contest, coming after another major conservative leader, Florida Senator Marco Rubio, backed Romney. It badly undercuts Santorum’s case that he can rally a conservative opposition to the moderate frontrunner, and is likely to further squeeze the money and political support Santorum has sought to command.
The Hot Air Pundit has the Democrat video ad they had been holding waiting for the Ryan endorsement of Romney … “That’s Amore”. Actually, that’s rather lame.
