Suspended Florida State QB Jameis Winston Warms Up in Pads During Pregame … Sent Back to Locker Room to Change by Frustrated Coach Jimbo Fisher
ARE YOU KIDDING ME … WHAT PART ABOUT YOU ARE FRIGGIN SUSPENDED FOR THE GAME DON’T YOU QUITE GET JAMEIS?
Simply amazing, this
kid punk just does not get it that rules apply to him. Suspended Florida St. QB Jameis Winston came out in full pads during pregame warm ups and was acting like nothing was the matter and this was like every game. Head shaking. Florida State Seminoles head coach Jimbo Fisher apparently was taken by surprise at Winston dressing out and sent Winston back to the locker room to change.
The Florida State Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback was suspended for Saturday night’s game against Clemson, but that didn’t stop him from showing up in full uniform during pre-game warm-ups. Tallahassee Democrat FSU beat writer Natalie Pierre tweeted out the following photo of Winston taking snaps with the Seminoles’ other quarterbacks.
Florida State QB & Heisman Trophy Winner Jameis Winston Has been Suspended for the Entire Game Against ACC Foe Clemson
Jameis Winston is out for the entire game against Clemson …
Florida State president Garnett S. Stokes and athletic director Stan Wilcox announced in a joint statement, “Based upon the results of our continuing investigation of Tuesday’s incident involving Jameis Winston, we have decided to not play him for the entire game against Clemson on Saturday night.”
Continuing investigation? Who is FSU kidding. The Seminoles have been guilted and forced into suspending their, all too often in trouble, quarterback Jameis Winston for the entire game because of pressure from alums, social media, the media from the fire storm that was created after their joke of a half-game suspension following Winston’s latest indiscretion. It would appear Winston has learned nothing from his past troubles. Then again why should he have, he has never been punished. One game is probably not even enough.
Winston’s suspension stems from a Tuesday incident in which he stood on a table and yelled an obscene phrase in the student union on Florida State’s campus. A number of students saw Winston yell the phrase and tweeted about what they saw.
Winston reportedly was not entirely truthful with Florida State officials when he was questioned about the incident. He then admitted the entire story. Thus the reason for the extended suspension.
Dumb & Dumber … VP Joe Biden Praises Former Senator Bob Packwood With Long History Of Sexual Harassment at Women’s Issues Conference
Who needs Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels from ‘Dumb & Dumber’ when we have Joe Biden who can handle both roles … Hey, Joe, who is doing the real war on woman?
Leave it to Joe Biden to praise a former US Senator, who had to resign in disgrace amid accusations that he had sexually harassed numerous woman over decades, at of all things a conference on woman’s issues. Way to go Joe. It is just hard to believe that this man is a heartbeat away from the presidency. Maybe that is why no one impeaches Obama, we would get crazy Joe instead. At a woman’s issues conference on Friday, Vice President Joe Biden praised former GOP Senator Bob Packwood as a different type of Republican who was willing to reach across the aisle. Biden fondly, or is in fondle, reminisced of the days of yore about Bob Packwood. RUT-ROH. However, that is not the only thing that Packwood was willing to reach for.
Biden says, “this is not your father’s Republican party. I’m not making a moral judgement.” LOL, maybe he should have. Truth be known, The Republican party of today is more like your father’s Democrat party. As for today’s Democrats, this is not your father’s Democrat party of Harry S. Truman and John F. Kennedy, this party has lurched so far Left, they have become socialists.
Vice President Joe Biden stumbled again Friday.
Speaking at a Democratic event devoted to women’s issues, Mr. Biden made a favorable reference to former Sen. Bob Packwood, an Oregon Republican who resigned in 1995 amid accusations that he had sexually harassed women over a period of decades.
Mr. Biden mentioned Mr. Packwood — and also the late Maryland Republican Sen. Mac Mathias – as examples of GOP lawmakers willing to work across the aisle and support progressive legislation.
Today’s Republican Party, Mr. Biden said, “is a different breed of cat.”
“It was Republicans who expanded access to the polls,” Mr. Biden said at the Democratic National Committee’s Women’s Leadership Forum on Friday. “It was Republicans in the Judiciary Committee that did Motor Voter. It’s Republicans that were involved. Guys like Mac Mathias and Packwood and so many others. It wasn’t Democrats alone.”
What a DOLT!
Oh the Irony: 42 Year Old Omar J. Gonzalez Arrested by Secret Service Inside White House … Scaled the White House Fence (VIDEO)
OK, WHO SEES THE IRONY IN AN INDIVIDUAL WITH A HISPANIC LAST NAME SCALING A FENCE AND BEING ARRESTED?
42 year old Omar J. Gonzalez of Copperas Cove, Texas was arrested Friday night after he climbed over the White House fence and made it through the North Portico doors of the White House. The White House staff members were evacuated; however, the Obama family were not at home. President Obama and his daughters had left via helicopter for the presidential retreat at Camp David, MD, just minutes before the incident. Following Gonzalez’s apprehension, he was taken to George Washington Medical Center for a medical evaluation.
Just curious, why was he arrested, why was this considered a crime? Isn’t this just a microcosm of our Southern border and the fence jumping that occurs every day? For Barack Obama and his administration, the illegals coming into the United States by scaling the Mexico-US border fence are not committing any crime. Barack Obama does not believe in border security, so why does he believe in security for the White House? Oh that’s right, that is different. For illegals who “illegally” scale a fence and cross into America get amnesty, but scale the White House fence and you get arrested.
A Texas man who scaled the White House fence made it through the North Portico doors on Friday night before being apprehended, the Secret Service said.
The intruder, Omar J. Gonzalez, 42, was arrested just inside the doors and taken to George Washington University Hospital after complaining of chest pains, said Ed Donovan, a Secret Service spokesman.
None of the Obamas were home when the security breach occurred about 7:20 p.m., but White House staff members were evacuated as a precaution, officials said. President Obama and his daughters had left for the presidential retreat at Camp David, Md., just minutes before the incident.
Mr. Gonzalez, of Copperas Cove, Tex., was not armed and was not carrying a bag or a backpack when officials spotted him jumping the fence on the Pennsylvania Avenue side, Mr. Donovan said. He ignored several calls for him to stop as officers gave chase.
No shots were fired and the White House guard dogs were not called out to stop him.
VIDEO of Omar Gonzalez running on White House grounds
Of course then their is the other metaphor that this incident presents, if Obama can’t protect the White House from a 42 year old man, how is he going to protect America against terrorism and ISIS?
Police Identify Man Who Left Bar with Missing UVA Student Hannah Graham … Described as a 32 Year Old Black Male, 6′ 2″ with Dreadlocks (Update: Searched of His Car and Condo)
According to Charlottesville Police Chief Tim Longo in a press conference Friday, missing University of Virginia student Hannah Graham was seen by eyewitnesses and on video with a man on Charlottesville’s downtown pedestrian mall early Saturday. Longo went on to say that they believe Graham went to a bar with him on the mall and they believe she was also in his car when he left. The police have searched a car and a condo Friday in connection with the disappearance of a University of Virginia student Hannah Graham. Police served a search warrant and seized a vehicle outside 164 Hessian Hills apartment complex in Albemarle County Friday morning. The apartments are “just minutes away” from the Downtown Mall where Graham was last seen on security camera video before she went missing on the morning of 9/13/14. The police have not named or arrested the person of interest, they have described him as a 32-year-old black man with long dreadlocks.
Press Conference: Passionate plea from Chief of Police Tim Longo in search of missing Hannah Graham … Everyone in the sound of my voice, you have the responsibility to find her
Police who searched a car and a condo Friday in connection with the disappearance of a University of Virginia student almost a week ago say they have identified the man who was with Hannah Graham when she was last seen.
Witnesses saw Graham, 18, of Alexandria, Va., inside a downtown restaurant and bar early Saturday with a 32-year-old man who had been observed earlier on surveillance video tailing the sophomore, Charlottesville Police Chief Tim Longo said.
Before the two entered the bar, witnesses saw the man, dressed in all white, put his hands around Graham’s waist. At the bar, the man bought alcohol, and he and Graham left after 15 minutes, Longo said.
“People saw Hannah, and people saw him, and people saw them together,” Longo said.
Shortly after that, the man’s 1998 burnt orange Chrysler coupe left the city’s Downtown Mall area, a seven-block pedestrian strip lined with shops and restaurants. Longo said he believes that Graham was in that car.
“There was no probable cause to arrest him, no legally sufficient reason to detain him,” the police chief said. “He’s not in custody, but we know who he is.”
Police executed a search warrant of the man’s car, a 1997 burnt orange Chrysler Coupe, and an apartment at 164 Hessian Hills Way Friday morning. The man police were looking for was inside the apartment along with two other people, but he is not in custody, police said.
The man is described as a black male, 32-year-old, 6′ 2″ tall with dreadlocks dressed in all white. Multiple witnesses told police that a black man with dreadlocks turned around when he saw Hannah Graham walking on the Downtown Mall, police said.
“We’re interested in him,” Chief Tim Longo said, but did not call the man a suspect. Police said they have spoken with this man and want to speak with him again.
Anyone with information on her disappearance is asked to call Charlottesville police at 434-295-3851
NY Yankees’ Derek Jeter Goodbye Gatorade Commercial, ‘Made in New York’ … Class, Character and Hustle, He Did it His Way
AMAZING DEREK JETER TRIBUTE THAT WILL GIVE EVEN RED SOX FANS A CHILL … and oh by the way it was a Gatorade ad.
Let me just preface this by saying, I am and always have been a Boston Red Sox fan … For 20 years Derek Jeter has been the epitome of hard work, hustle, leadership, character and class. The captain of the New York Yankees takes a stroll though the Bronx to Yankee Stadium with the music stylings of the Chairman of the Board, Frank Sinatra’s, “My Way” playing in the background. Following such Yankee captain immortals like Babe Ruth, Lou Gerhig, and Thurman Munson, Jeter did it right in a time and age in the MLB where so many did it wrong. Thank you for the memories Derek, even though many of them were at the cost to the Sox. Baseball and the Yankees will be hard-pressed to replace such an ambassador to the game.
Jeter’s Yankee Stadium farewell begins Thursday night against the Blue Jays, who are in town for a four-game series. It is only fitting that Derek Jeter’s final games of his career will come against the Red Sox in Fenway Park on September 26, 27 and 28th.
I am hoping that the Red Sox fans show the respect and class for Jeter that he truly deserves and serenades him with a DEREK JETER chant.
Derek Jeter’s final homestand will be met with many emotional goodbyes from fans over the next week. But before he even made it to the ballpark Thursday, a Gatorade commercial anticipating and celebrating the Yankees captain’s farewell already had made its way onto the Internet.
The black-and-white ad follows Jeter on his way to the ballpark and watches him walk the last few blocks to Yankee Stadium. He greets some kids, stops by Stan’s Sports Bar and soon gets engulfed by fans near the gates before eventually tipping his cap in uniform outside the dugout.
All of it was choreographed to Frank Sinatra’s “My Way,” a song Jeter says he picked out himself.
“I’ve always liked the song,” said Jeter, who said Sinatra was an easy choice. “I thought it was fitting, I thought it fit for what I’m going through. I’m happy we used it.
Gatorade told Ad Week the spot was a “true collaboration” between the company and one of its most-recognized athletes, saying all the sports drink giant did was rope off blocks around Yankee Stadium to let Jeter mingle with fans. The reactions are genuine.
In conjunction with the ad, the company will run a full-page letter, addressed to the city and written by Jeter, in Sports Illustrated and the New York Daily News on Sept. 28 and 29.
3.6 million Scots voted on Thursday, an unbelievable 85% of the electorate, on whether to leave or stay within the United Kingdom. They were answering one simple question, should Scotland be an independent country? And the final tally … by a 55% to 45% vote, Scotland voters opted to keep its more than 300 year old union with Britain intact and say no to independence.
Scotland votes ‘No’: How the ‘No’ side won the referendum.
William Wallace was unavailable for comment.
Given a historic chance to go it alone as an independent nation, Scottish voters chose to stick with the United Kingdom following a campaign that was marked by extraordinary turnout and profound division.
Final results showed Friday that the “no” side won an overwhelming advantage, with a 55 percent majority compared to 45 percent for the “yes” camp. Unionist leaders proclaimed that Scotland had clearly voted to remain part of the United Kingdom. Supporters erupted in raucous celebration.
A “no” vote breathes new life into a 307-year union that had appeared in grave danger of breaking apart. The unionist victory was quickly heralded by relieved British officials who had come perilously close to having to preside over a messy and humiliating divorce.
SEPTEMBER 18 … NATIONAL CHEESEBURGER DAY.
Enjoy a cheeseburger in Paradise today.
Cheeseburgers in Paradise – Jimmy Buffet
You might not realize it, but we’ve got a good old-fashioned American celebration heading our way. Thursday, Sept. 18 is National Cheeseburger Day.
We’ve got input on that from a couple of burger-centric restaurant operations based in Kansas City. But, first, a little burger background to help put this momentous occasion into perspective.
According to Wikipedia, adding cheese to hamburgers became popular in the U.S. in the late-1920s to mid-1930s.
There are several competing claims as to who created the first cheeseburger.
Lionel Sternberger said he did it in 1926 at the tender age of 16 while working as a fry cook at his father’s sandwich shop in Pasadena, CA. According to legend, it was an experiment – Sternberger dropped a slab of American cheese onto a sizzling burger.
Not long after, cheeseburgers started popping up on menus. A 1928 menu from O’Dell’s restaurant in Los Angeles offered a cheeseburger topped with chili for a quarter.
There are other claimants to the cheeseburger crown, including Louis Ballast of the Humpty Dumpty Drive-In in Denver, CO, who was awarded a trademark for the name in 1934.
Steak n’ Shake also said its founder, Gus Belt, applied for a trademark on the word cheeseburger in the ’30s.
Whoever, however, and whenever the cheeseburger made it into the American lexicon, the rest, as they say, is history.
Who doesn’t like a mouth-watering cheeseburger. Well of course I guess if you are a vegan. Of course then there are the following cheeseburger ads that will make you forget or care who crated the first cheeseburger and be thankful that some one did
Arizona Cardinals Running Back Jonathan Dwyer Arrested Wednesday on Domestic Violence and Aggravated Assault Charges
ARE YOU KIDDING ME … AND THE
HITS DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ASSAULTS KEEP ON COMING.
Second verse, same as the first … Arizona Cardinals running back Jonathan Dwyer has been arrested on assault charges. GOOD GRIEF. The charges against 25 year old Jonathan Dwyer include aggravated assault and preventing someone from calling 911, in connection with two altercations at his home in July involving a woman and an 18-month-old child. The alleged assaults occurred on July 21 at 8 a.m. and July 22 at 4 p.m. According to the police, Dwyer admits involvement in the incidents; however, denies assaulting anyone. has Dwyer has been deactivated from all team activities. Dwyer spent Wednesday night in jail before being released about 5 a.m. Thursday morning on $25,000 bond.
Arizona Cardinals running back Jonathan Dwyer has been arrested on assault charges, including aggravated assault and preventing someone from calling 911, it was revealed Wednesday evening.
Phoenix police said the charges stemmed from two separate incidents that are alleged to have occurred at his home in late July. A report was first made to the Phoenix Police Department on Sept. 11, and when detectives questioned Dwyer, he admitted to the incidents but denied any physical assaults, police said.
Dwyer was being booked into the Maricopa County Jail on Wednesday on one count of aggravated assault causing a fracture, one count of aggravated assault involving a minor, two counts of criminal damage, one count of preventing the use of a phone in an emergency, and assault, police said.
Neighbors heard a fight and called police, who showed up at the residence. Police Sgt. Trent Crump said Dwyer hid in the bathroom until police left. The next day, Crump said Dwyer snatched the woman’s cellphone and threw it from the second floor of their home to prevent her from calling police about another dispute.
The woman came forward last week, providing police with information about her injuries and text messages that indicated Dwyer “was going to harm himself because of what had been going on,” police said.
On July 21, Phoenix police were called to the home and were met at the door by the victim who denied there was anyone else in the home. She indicated she was in an argument on the phone. The officers left. Police later learned Dwyer was hiding in a bathroom at the home, Crump said.
On July 22, the victim tried calling 911 during a second incident, but Dwyer allegedly grabbed the cell phone and threw it from the second floor of their home to keep her from calling police, according to Crump. He also said after the alleged physical altercation, Dwyer threw a shoe toward the child.
In the wake of the alleged attacks, the victim, whose name hasn’t been released, left the state with their child, Crump said.
The victim, still living out of state, contacted Phoenix police on Sept. 11 with details about the injuries suffered during the alleged attacks. She alleged Dwyer has sent her a photo of a knife and also described threatening text messages she had received from Dwyer.
“We became aware of these allegations this afternoon when notified by Phoenix police and are cooperating fully. Given the serious nature of the allegations we have taken the immediate step to deactivate Jonathan from all team activities. We will continue to closely monitor this as it develops and evaluate additional information as it becomes available.”
Police Continue Search for Missing UVA Student, 18 Year Old Hannah Graham in Charlottesville, VA … Surveillance Video Showed She Was Followed (Update: Police Search for Man last seen talking to Missing Coed)
The search continues for 18 year old University of Virginia student Hannah Graham in Charlottesville, VA. Hannah Graham has been missing since 9/13/14, she was last seen by friends at Camden Plaza about 11:50 p.m. Friday, according to Facebook posts. Her last contact with friends via text message at 1:20 a.m. on Saturday saying she was lost walking home from a party near 14th and Wertland. Police are reviewing surveillance video showing the most recent time a missing University of Virginia student has been seen.
Surveillance video released Wednesday shows 18-year-old, second-year student Hannah Graham heading downtown early Saturday morning. Wednesday night, Charlottesville police released surveillance videos from Sal’s Caffe Italia – at 1:06 a.m. Saturday – and from Tuel Jewelers – at 1:08 a.m. – that show Graham walking on the downtown mall. A man is seen walking in front of Graham. He stops and is then seen walking behind her. Two minutes later, Graham is seen walking with another woman with the same man following them. The man has identified himself and has spoken to police, saying he followed Graham to see if she needed help. He says he saw another man put his arm around Graham, and now police are looking for that second man.
Thursday, police will pull more surveillance video to see where she and the unidentified man went next.
During a police press conference at CitySpace Wednesday afternoon, new surveillance video was shown. The video shows Graham in front of McGrady’s Irish Pub on Grady Avenue at 12:46 Saturday morning. Nine minutes later, at 12:55 a.m., security cameras at the Shell gas station caught Graham running, then walking, along Preston Avenue headed toward the downtown mall. Police say no one is seen chasing her in the surveillance video. Five minutes later, at 1 a.m., an eyewitness sitting in a car by Fellini’s restaurant spotted Graham turning the corner from Market Street heading toward the downtown mall on Second Street northwest. Surveillance video also shows her walking by Sal’s at 1:06 a.m. and by Tuel Jewelers at 1:08 a.m. A final text from Graham’s cellphone was sent at 1:20 a.m. saying she was lost back over by the UVA corner.
Charlottesville police put a call out for security camera footage from any other downtown businesses on Friday night or Saturday morning.
At a Wednesday press conference Charlottesville Police Chief Timothy Longo said they had received over 100 tips, interviewed over 50 people and had new video to examine.
Detectives visited businesses on the Downtown Mall, a pedestrian area located just over a mile away from the UVa. campus, to see if anyone had surveillance video that might show Graham’s path the night she disappeared.
Wednesday evening Capt. Gary Pleasants told CBS 6 reporter Melissa Hipolit that they examined two new videos, which showed an unidentified white male following Graham.
Pleasants then said that the man in the video came to the police station, and said he had also left his story on the tip line.
He told police that he was walking with her to make sure she was okay, because she seemed physically distressed and he “wanted to make sure she got safely wherever she was going.”
The updated timeline of the last hours anyone heard from Graham looks like this:
- 11: 50 p.m. Friday — Graham last seen by friends at Camden Plaza Apartments, in the 200 block of 14th Street NW.
- 12:45 a.m. Saturday — Graham seen on surveillance video outside of McGrady’s Pub on Grady Street.
- 12:55 a.m. Saturday — Graham seen on Shell station surveillance video on Preston Ave.
- 1 a.m. Saturday — Witness reports seeing Graham on Downtown Mall
- 1:06 a.m. Saturday — Video captures Graham in front of Sal’s, continuing to walk east along the mall.
- 1:08 a.m. Saturday — Graham seen in front of Tuel Jewelers.
- 1:20 a.m. Saturday — Graham sends a text to friends saying she was lost in the area around 14th and Wertland Streets.
Seeking the public’s help, authorities released a description of a man who a witness said approached the student in an off-campus pedestrian mall.
The unidentified man reportedly spoke with Hannah Graham shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday and put his arm around her as she walked along the Downtown Mall on East Main Street, a row of stores east of the University of Virginia’s main campus. Police want to speak with the man and consider him a “person of interest” but as yet have given no indication that he is directly connected to Graham’s disappearance.
