President Donald Trump Speech to the Nation on Afghanistan & South Asia (VIDEO)

PRESIDENT TRUMP LISTENS TO ALL SIDES FROM HIS GENERALS AND HAS MADE A DECISION ON AFGHANISTAN …

Last night at President Donald Trump spoke to the nation from Fort Myer military base in Arlington, VA. putting forth his strategy for the war in Afghanistan and South Asia.    President Trump stated, we will not be nation building, the US military will be killing terrorists. His critics call it a flip-flop, however, any common sense thinking person sees it as a reasoned and responsible decision after getting all the facts and listening to those that know the best how to win a war, military generals. Listen to the speech below, this is what a President and Commander in Chief sounds like.

But all my life I’ve heard that decisions are much different when you sit behind the desk in the Oval Office, in other words, when you’re president of the United States. So I studied Afghanistan in great detail and from every conceivable angle. After many meetings, over many months, we held our final meeting last Friday at Camp David with my cabinet and generals to complete our strategy.

I arrived at three fundamental conclusion about America’s core interests in Afghanistan. First, our nation must seek an honorable and enduring outcome worthy of the tremendous sacrifices that have been made, especially the sacrifices of lives. The men and women who serve our nation in combat deserve a plan for victory. They deserve the tools they need and the trust they have earned to fight and to win.

Second, the consequences of a rapid exit are both predictable and unacceptable. 9/11, the worst terrorist attack in our history, was planned and directed from Afghanistan because that country was ruled by a government that gave comfort and shelter to terrorists.

A hasty withdrawal would create a vacuum for terrorists, including ISIS and Al Qaeda, would instantly fill just as happened before Sept. 11. And as we know, in 2011, America hastily and mistakenly withdrew from Iraq. As a result, our hard-won gains slipped back into the hands of terrorist enemies. Our soldiers watched as cities they had fought for and bled to liberate, and won, were occupied by a terrorist group called ISIS. The vacuum we created by leaving too soon gave safe haven for ISIS to spread, to grow, recruit and launch attacks. We cannot repeat in Afghanistan the mistake our leaders made in Iraq.

Third, and finally, I concluded that the security threats we face in Afghanistan and the broader region are immense. Today, 20 U.S.-designated foreign terrorist organizations are active in Afghanistan and Pakistan, the highest concentration in any region anywhere in the world.

Since the founding of our republic, our country has produced a special class of heroes whose selflessness, courage and resolve is unmatched in human history. American patriots from every generation have given their last breath on the battlefield for our nation and for our freedom.

Through their lives, and though their lives were cut short, in their deeds they achieved total immortality. By following the heroic example of those who fought to preserve our republic, we can find the inspiration our country needs to unify, to heal, and to remain one nation, under God.

The men and women of our military operate as one team, with one shared mission and one shared sense of purpose. They transcend every line of race, ethnicity, creed and color to serve together and sacrifice together in absolutely perfect cohesion. That is because all service members are brothers and sisters. They’re all part of the same family. It’s called the American family. They take the same oath, fight for the same flag and live according to the same law. They’re bound together by common purpose, mutual trust and selfless devotion to our nation and to each other.

The soldier understands what we as a nation too often forget, that a wound inflicted upon a single member of our community is a wound inflicted upon us all. When one part of America hurts, we all hurt. And when one citizen suffers an injustice, we all suffer together. Loyalty to our nation demands loyalty to one another. Love for America requires love for all of its people.

When we open our hearts to patriotism, there is no room for prejudice, no place for bigotry and no tolerance for hate. The young men and women we send to fight our wars abroad deserve to return to a country that is not at war with itself at home. We cannot remain a force for peace in the world if we are not at peace with each other.

As we send our bravest to defeat our enemies overseas — and we will always win — let us find the courage to heal our divisions within. Let us make a simple promise to the men and women we ask to fight in our name, that when they return home from battle, they will find a country that has renewed the sacred bonds of love and loyalty that unite us together as one.

Thanks to the vigilance and skill of the American military, and of our many allies throughout the world, horrors on the scale of Sept. 11 — and nobody can ever forget that — have not been repeated on our shores.

And we must acknowledge the reality I’m here to talk about tonight, that nearly 16 years after the Sept. 11 attacks, after the extraordinary sacrifice of blood and treasure, the American people are weary of war without victory. Nowhere is this more evident than with the war in Afghanistan, the longest war in American history, 17 years.

I share the American people’s frustration. I also share their frustration over a foreign policy that has spent too much time, energy, money — and most importantly, lives — trying to rebuild countries in our own image instead of pursuing our security interests above all other considerations.

That is why shortly after my inauguration, I directed Secretary of Defense Mattis and my national security team to undertake a comprehensive review of all strategic options in Afghanistan and South Asia. My original instinct was to pull out. And historically, I like following my instincts.

Barack Obama Goes Golfing in Hawaii Terrorist Attack In Afghanistan Kills Six American Soldiers … Because It’s All About Him

SORRY AMERICA, BUT THE MAN JUST DOES NOT CARE …

Once again we are witness to Barack Obama’s lack of character, empathy any anything remotely presidential as Obama goes golfing on vacation after informed of a terror attack in Afghanistan that killed six American service members. Is there anything that would prevent this individual from going golfing? One has to wonder if Obama had been president during the Japanese Pearl Harbor sneak attack or 9-11 terror attacks whether this so-called president would have canceled his plans to go golfing? One would have to doubt it. But its the Democrat mantra when it comes to Americans killed under their watch … what difference does it make. It’s bad enough that Obama has acted like Air Force One is like an “Uber” ride, as the travel expenses are thru the roof, but could this man at least pretend like he cares about some one else more than himself?

Of course Obama would never stop his golf game and have to admit that Afghanistan is a failure, of his doing. The deaths of the six US servicemen was the largest loss of life of American troops in Afghanistan this year. The Taliban claim responsibility, you remember the same Taliban of which Obama swapped 5 Taliban terrorists for traitor Beau

Shhh … don’t tell anyone I am the greatest failure of a president, EVER!!!

President Obama is on vacation in Hawaii, where he was informed of a terrorist attack in Afghanistan that killed six American service members.

The attack was carried out by a suicide bomber on a motorcycle outside a U.S. military base, the largest loss of life of American troops in Afghanistan this year. The Taliban claim responsibility.

But the sobering news didn’t stop Obama from heading to the golf course, a tradition for the president as he enjoys the Hawaii climate during the holidays.

The president and three of his friends hit the golf course shortly after noon at the Mid-Pacific Country Club.

While Obama was on the course, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest released a statement in response to the attacks. “We express our deepest condolences to the families of the six U.S. service members killed and to all of those injured in today’s Taliban attack near Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families, and their loved ones,” the statement read, adding that the United States condemned the “cowardly attack.”

Unreal, the United States gets a statement from the White House press secretary of condolences to the family and that our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families, and their loved ones, as Obama is playing a sand wedge from the bunker? HUH? Oh yeah, he so cares, his actions are all we need to see to realize he just doesn’t give a $hit. Check out the pics at Breitbart.com where Obama can be seen making it all about him as he chips  it in on the 18th hole. What a poor excuse for a president, a commander in Chief and a man.

Sorry, this president lost me when he showed his true lack of character and decided to make fun of developmentally challenged Special Olympic athletes and made a joke of them. What a dirt-bag.

Comparing his poor bowling score … “It was like Special Olympics or something”

EPIC FAIL: Barack Obama Flip-Flops on Troop Drawdown in Afghanistan as the Taliban & Al-Qaeda Gain Strength

A COMPLETE ADMISSION THAT THE OBAMA FOREIGN POLICY IN AFGHANISTAN HAS BEEN A DISASTER.

Barack Obama kicks the can down the road for the nest president to deal with his failed policies …

Imagine that, Barack Hussein Obama is flip-flopping on his troop drawdown in Afghanistan. After having pulled out a majority of US forces in Afghanistan prematurely and all but losing any gains that had been previously made, Obama now finds Afghanistan in complete turmoil. Day by day gains are made by the terrorist Islamists Al-Qaeda and the Taliban. Obama did not win any war in Afghanistan by pulling all the US troops out, he abandoned the war. Now he has a major headache and PR embarrassment on his hands. This almost reminds me of the Obamacare provisions that really stick it to Americans and businesses but do not take affect until after Obama is out of office. How convenient. Obama is just looking to run out the clock on his presidency and not have Afghanistan fall to the Taliban and terrorists before that takes place. Oh, and let’s not forget Obama’s JV terrorist group, ISIS.

With pressure building on the White House to slow or completely halt the withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan, senior officials said that President Obama appears increasingly willing to keep a force there large enough to carry on the hunt for Al Qaeda and Islamic State militants.

The insurgents are now spread through more of Afghanistan than at any point since 2001, according to the United Nations, and last month they seized the city of Kunduz with only a few hundred fighters. At the same time, Al Qaeda operatives are still finding havens in the mountains of Afghanistan, and the Islamic State has gained a toehold by recruiting disaffected Taliban, opening a treacherous new chapter in the war.

Obama to make Afghanistan forces announcement.

President Barack Obama will announce Thursday that U.S. forces will remain in Afghanistan at their current levels throughout much of 2016, marking yet another delay in the administration’s plans for completing its withdrawal from the 14-year conflict.

The decision to maintain 9,800 troops in Afghanistan until nearly the end of Obama’s time in office comes after months of discussions with Afghanistan’s president, Ashraf Ghani, and the nation’s CEO, Abdullah Abdullah, senior administration officials said Wednesday night. Obama also consulted with U.S. military commanders on the ground in Afghanistan as well as his entire national security team, officials added.

According to the new White House plan, the number of U.S. military personnel in Afghanistan would drop to 5,500 by early 2017, as Obama prepares to leave office. At that point, U.S. forces would be based in the Afghan capital of Kabul, as well as in military installations in Bagram, Jalalabad and Kandahar.

C-130 Crashes in Afghanistan; 6 U.S. Service Members Dead

MORE BAD NEWS FROM AFGHANISTAN …

As reported at NBC News, a C-130 transport plane crashed while taking off in Afghanistan killing 13 people abord the plane, including 6 American service men. The terrible incident took place shortly after midnight local time (3:19 p.m. ET) at Jalalabad airfield. The Taliban has claimed that they shot the plane out of the sky; however, U.S. Air Force Maj. Tony Wickman, spokesman for the 455th Air Expeditionary Wing dismissed the claim, saying that “it is with high confidence that we can say it does not appear that enemy fire was involved.” Well, it didn’t just crash on its own … what happened?

Six American service members were among 13 people killed early Friday when a U.S. C-130 transport plane crashed while taking off in Afghanistan, a U.S. military official said.

The incident occurred shortly after midnight local time (3:19 p.m. ET) at Jalalabad airfield, coalition spokesman U.S. Army Col. Brian Tribus said.

Six of the dead were U.S. service members that were the crew of the aircraft. The other victims were five civilian contractors, who were passengers, and two Afghan civilians who were killed on the ground, Tribus said.

U.S. Air Force Maj. Tony Wickman, spokesman for the 455th Air Expeditionary Wing, told The Associated Press the the Super Hercules aircraft crashed “shortly after take-off wholly within the airfield.”

The civilian contractors were working with “Resolute Support,” the NATO-led mission to train and advise Afghan security forces. It follows the military mission in Afghanistan after combat operations ended at the end of 2014.

A cause for the crash has not been determined.
