Indiana Police Officer Provides a Prayer, Not a Ticket, After Pulling Over Speeding Driver Upset Over his Daughter’s Cancer Diagnosis (VIDEO)
AMAZING HOW THE MSM NEVER SEEMS TO MAKE THESE KIND OF POLICE STORIES NATIONAL NEWS …
The power of prayer … Indiana State Police Sgt. Todd Durnil had pulled Rodney Gibson over for speeding when the officer noticed that Gibson appeared to be very upset and angry. However, Gibson was not upset about the traffic stop, but rather about something else going on in his life. Gibson told the police officer that his daughter was recently told the breast cancer she’d been battling for six years metastasized and that she likely wasn’t going to make it. Officer Durnil did not give Gibson a speeding ticket, but instead knelled and prayed with Rodney Gibson that he and his family would have the Lord’s peace during this difficult time. Add this to a long list of random acts of kindness provided by law enforcement that does not fit the agenda of the MSM against law enforcement.
On his way back to his patrol car, Durnil said his first thought was that Gibson really needed prayers and that he would tell his family and church to pray for Gibson.
“I also thought, this man already has enough, I’m not going to write him any paperwork for a ticket or even a warning,” he said. “When I walked back to his truck, I explained everything. He still seemed agitated, but not as bad, and he apologized, saying, ‘I’m sorry, I usually don’t act this way, I’ve just been going through a lot.’”
Durnil then asked Gibson if there was anything else if he could do for him and Gibson told him, “Do you know how to pray?”
“Here I was thinking this man needs prayer, and now he’s asking me for a prayer,” Durnil said. “The good Lord put us together for a purpose.”
It can be stressful enough to see a police car behind you, but imagine getting pulled over after learning your child is dying from cancer.
Rodney Gibson was driving on SR 37 in Monroe County Monday, struggling to accept his daughter’s breast cancer was not going away.
He was so upset, he did not realize he was speeding.
Trooper Durnil decided to not give him a ticket and instead walked over, thinking Rodney needed some prayers.
Durnil then prayed with him.
Gibson was so appreciative, he started crying.
He even called Trooper Durnil’s post in Bloomington to share his appreciation for his kindness.
Pope Francis issues Christmas Day Prayer … Calls For Prayers for Syria, Libya Peace and Condemns Radical-Islamic “Brutal Acts of Terrorism”
ITS ABOUT TIME THE POPE MADE ISIS AND RADICAL ISLAM A GREATER THREAT THAN GLOBAL WARMING …
Today, Pope Francis issued a Christmas Day prayer from the central balcony of St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome that called for peace for Syria and Libya, prayers for the suffering and denounced the radical Islamist “monstrous evil” and atrocities.” The Pope made reference to the heinous terror attacks in Paris earlier this year. He also made mention of the attacks in Egypt’s airspace and in Beirut, Mali and Tunisia. The Pope further went in to denounce the ongoing conflicts in Africa, the Middle East and Ukraine and issued words of consolation to Christians being persecuted for their faith in many parts of the world. Isn’t it quite amazing that pretty much all that the Pope is referencing as “monstrous evil” and atrocities” is at the hands of radical Islam? The Pope stated, “Only God’s mercy can free humanity from the many forms of evil, at times monstrous evil, which selfishness spawns in our midst.”
Pope Francis issued a Christmas Day prayer that recent U.N.-backed peace processes for Syria and Libya will quickly end the suffering of their people, denouncing the “monstrous evil” and atrocities they have endured and praising countries that have taken in refugees.
Speaking from the central balcony of St. Peter’s Basilica, Francis issued a plenary indulgence for all Catholics in hopes of spreading the church’s message of mercy in a world torn by war, poverty and extremist attacks. The sun-soaked St. Peter’s Square was under heavy security, as it has been since the Nov. 13 Paris attacks by Islamic extremists that left 130 dead.
An indulgence is an ancient church tradition related to the forgiveness of sins. Francis announced it after delivering his annual “Urbi et Orbi” (To the city and the world) speech listing global hotspots and his prayers for an end to human suffering.
Francis referred to the “brutal acts of terrorism” that struck the French capital this year, as well as attacks in Egypt’s airspace and in Beirut, Mali and Tunisia. He denounced the ongoing conflicts in Africa, the Middle East and Ukraine and issued words of consolation to Christians being persecuted for their faith in many parts of the world.
“They are our martyrs of today,” he said.

And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.
And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men
And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.
And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger (Luke 2:10-16)

Sultan of Brunei Threatens Muslims Who Celebrate Christmas With Up to 5 Years in Prison … Intended to Control the Act of Celebrating Christmas Excessively & Openly, Which Could Damage the Beliefs of the Muslim Community
IMAGINE IF WE TOLD MUSLIMS IN THE UNITED STATES THEY WOULD BE JAILED FOR CELEBRATING THEIR RELIGIOUS HOLIDAYS?
Sounds like a modern day Burgermeister Meisterburger … Talk about your War on Christmas. The Sultan of Brunei is warning residents of that if they plan on celebrating Christmas, they could face up to five years in jail. UNREAL, because Muslim countries are so tolerant, eh? So why arrest those who would dare celebrate Christmas or make plans to organize Christmas get-together’s? It is being done so in fear that celebrating Christmas will affect the faith of its country. In a statement from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, “These enforcement measures are…intended to control the act of celebrating Christmas excessively and openly, which could damage the aqidah (beliefs) of the Muslim community.”
So Muslims countries across the world can ban Christian religious celebrations and threaten individuals with jail time, but Muslims can come to the United States and celebrate their religion without any consequences what-so-ever and in many cases radicalize in mosques without a damn thing done to them.
The super-rich ruler of Brunei has told residents of his country that if they plan on celebrating Christmas, they could face up to five years in jail.
In fear the the religious holiday will affect the faith of its country, the tiny oil-rich nation’s Sultan, Hassanal Bolkiah, has banned the public celebration of Christmas.
Any Muslims caught celebrating Christmas, and non-Muslims who are discovered organising celebrations, could face the lengthy prison sentence.
While non-Muslims are allowed to celebrate the holiday within their own communities, they must not disclose their plans to the nation’s Muslims – which make up 65 per cent of the 420,000-strong population.
Around 20 per cent of Brunei’s residents are non-Muslim, including substantial Buddhist and Christian communities.
‘These enforcement measures are…intended to control the act of celebrating Christmas excessively and openly, which could damage the aqidah (beliefs) of the Muslim community,‘ said the Ministry of Religious Affairs in a statement.
Freedom of Religion is obviously in the Bill of Rights of the United States Constitution; however, how does a free and open society deal with a religion which is allowed to operate under “freedom of religion” which looks to spread and become the only region, even if by force?
ITS ABOUT TIME, SHE HAS ALWAYS BEEN CONSIDERED A SAINT IN MY BOOK …
The Vatican stated today that Mother Teresa will be made a saint in the Roman Catholic Church. There is probably no person I can think of who is more deserving of this honor. Mother Teresa dedicated her life to helping the poor in India and the slums of Calcutta. She was beatified in 2003 as Blessed Teresa of Calcutta for healing an Indian woman’s tumor through divine intervention. However, two miracles are required for sainthood. It appears her second one was when she was involved the curing of a man in Santos, Brazil, with a serious viral brain infection.
I can remember doing a report on Mother Teresa back in high school and just being completely amazed by the conviction and compassion of this woman and her humanity in dealing with the poorest of the poor. In my personal opinion she was always a saint, now its just official.
Mother Teresa Last Speech
Mother Teresa, who dedicated her life to helping India’s poor, will be made a saint in the Roman Catholic Church, the Vatican said Friday
She will likely be canonized in September to coincide with the 19th anniversary of her death and Pope Francis’ Holy Year of Mercy, according to an Italian Catholic newspaper report.
The pontiff marked his 79th birthday on Thursday by approving a decree that the nun had performed a second miracle 11 years after her death, the Vatican confirmed in a statement.
She was beatified in 2003 as Blessed Teresa of Calcutta for healing an Indian woman’s tumor through divine intervention, but full sainthood requires the declaration of two miracles.
Her Missionaries of Charity helped the poor on the streets of the city, now known as Kolkata. She won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979.
AWAY IN A MANGER, NO CRIB FOR A BED … CHRISTMAS SEASON MIRACLE … NEW BORN BABY FOUND IN NATIVITY SCENE …
A new born baby was discovered at the Holy Child of Jesus Church in New York in the Nativity scene in the manger. The baby still had the umbilical cord attached and was thought to be only a few hours old. The child was rushed to Jamaica Hospital for treatment, but was said to be healthy and in stable condition. The unknown mother obviously did not follow New York’s “safe haven” law when she abandoned the baby in the manger, but on the bright side, she did not abort it and now one of God’s children has a chance to be adopted and live the rest of its life.
New York has a so-called safe haven law that says a newborn can be dropped off anonymously at a church, hospital, police or fire station without fear of prosecution. But the law, known as the Abandoned Infant Protection Act, requires that the child be left with someone or for authorities to be called immediately.
Police said that didn’t happen in this case, which led investigators to begin searching for the person who dropped the child at the church.
The custodian on duty at the Holy Child of Jesus Church in New York this week beheld a scene straight out of Scripture. Hearing the sound of a baby’s cry, he found a newborn wrapped in towels lying inside, of all places, the wooden manger of the church’s nativity scene.
The infant, who weighed about 5 pounds, still had his umbilical cord attached. As emergency crews arrived to take him to the Jamaica Hospital in Queens, his eyes remained closed, his slight arms outstretched towards the sky.
“For unto us a child is born,” Rev. Christopher Ryan Heanue announced on the parish’s Facebook page. “Let us pray for this child, for his parents and for whomever will receive him into their home.”
The identity of the baby’s mother is still unknown, though police told the New York Times that a video shows a woman arriving with the baby and departing without him. She likely entered the church between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday, the period in which the custodian left the empty chapel for lunch.
Doctors said the baby had been born just four to five hours before he was found, and police told the Associated Press that he is in good health.
A mother who left her newborn baby in a Christmas manger inside a New York City church will not be prosecuted, authorities said Wednesday.
“After a full review of all the facts and circumstances surrounding the discovery of a newborn infant this past Monday in a creche inside of Holy Child Jesus Church in the Richmond Hill section of Queens County – including locating and interviewing the mother – my office has determined that no criminal prosecution of the child’s mother is warranted,” Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said in a statement.
Football Coach Joe Kennedy at Bremerton High School in Washington Says He Will Defy School’s Prayer Ban
SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND FOOTBALL?
Because saying a prayer before and after a game is such a terrible thing. Bremerton High School football coach Joe Kennedy says that he will defy the school’s prayer ban. With all the bad things going in in our school’s today, how could a coach praying and giving thanks and glory to God be a bad thing and something that our liberal agenda driven education system consider a “problematic practice”. HUH? Think about this, this country has so lost its way that it is considered a bad thing for students who volunteer to say a prayer with the coach post-game, thanking God for the safety of his players is worthy of being investigated and a bad thing. Talk about the struggle between Good and Evil.
How sad is it that a few intolerant people, who look to impose their beliefs on others claiming they are offended are allowed to reject the Founding document of the United States. To those that are so offended by prayer, don’t participate.
There’s a scene in the great football film “Facing the Giants” when the coach decides to implement a new coaching philosophy – to praise God no matter what the result.
Joe Kennedy, a football coach at Bremerton High School in Washington, was so inspired by the film he decided to embrace that philosophy – knowing that to do so could cost him his job. I’ll explain why in just a few more paragraphs.
Kennedy, a Desert Storm and Desert Shield combat veteran, made national headlines in September after the Bremerton School District launched an investigation into his post-game prayer.
Since 2008, Coach Kennedy would walk to the 50-yard line where he would offer a short prayer of thanksgiving for the safety of the players, the fairness of the game and for spirited competition. Over the years, students joined the coach – all voluntarily.
“I’m being investigated for thanking God for the opportunities that have been given me,” he said. “It’s absolutely ridiculous.”
So what part of the U.S. Constitution doesn’t the superintendent of the Bremerton School District not get? Or maybe he is not aware of Freedom of Speech and freedom of religious expression. It is not illegal to pray and for people to voluntarily participate when some one prays. The Liberty Institute has come to the aid of coach Kennedy and is now representing him in this
Liberty Institute, a law firm that specializes in religious liberty cases, now represents Coach Kennedy and they fired off a letter on Wednesday to the school district urging them to rescind the prayer ban.
“There is no lawful prohibition against Coach Kennedy’s practice of saying a private, post-game prayer,” attorney Hiram Sasser wrote. “The prayers are Coach Kennedy’s private religious speech, and no reasonable observer could conclude that BHS sponsors, endorses, or encourages student participation.”
Sasser blasted the school district for “banning Coach Kennedy from bowing his head or even being physically present where students may be praying.”
He said such action is blatantly unconstitutional.
Texas Police Chief Tells Atheist Group Who Demand That He Ban ‘In God We Trust’ Decals from Crusisers
HEY ATHEISTS, DON’T MESS WITH TEXAS …
It would appear that Adrian Garcia, head of the Childress Police Department in Childress, Texas, wasn’t willing to comply with a letter from the atheist group, Freedom From Religion Foundation that demanded he ban “In God We Trust” decals from police patrol cars.. The Texas police chief read their letter and raised them a kiss off. He responded to the group by telling them to “go fly a kite,” It is about time some one told these trolls off.
I give the police chief a lot of credit, my response would probably have been a bit different and just two words.
A Texas police chief has officially responded to atheists’ demands that he remove “In God We Trust” decals from patrol vehicles, telling critics to “go fly a kite.”
Adrian Garcia, head of the Childress Police Department in Childress, Texas, apparently wasn’t willing to entertain demands that the nation’s motto — which secular critics claim is an unconstitutional violation of the separation of church and state — be removed from vehicles.
“After carefully reading your letter I must deny your request in the removal of our Nations motto from our patrol units, and ask that you and the Freedom From Religion Foundation go fly a kite,” he wrote in a one sentence response that was posted on the department’s Facebook page.
Ditto to what the Right Wing News opined, “the faces of atheists when a Texas Police Chief told them they should ‘go fly a kite’ ….PRICELESS!”
Pope Francis Stops Fiat to Kiss the Forehead of a Boy (Michael Keating) with Cerebral Palsy after Landing in Philadelphia, PA (VIDEO)
THIS IS WHAT THE POPE SHOULD ALWAYS BE DOING … PROVIDING HOPE, FAITH AND A BLESSING FOR THOSE LESS FORTUNATE …
I have been some what critical of Pope Fancis’ political statements that he has made while visiting the United States, only because the following is what he should always be doing and be remembered for. On Saturday morning after the Pope landed in Philadelphia and en route to his next speaking engagement, Pope Francis ordered the car he was traveling in be stopped immediately. Pope Francis got out of the fiat, walked over to a boy in a wheel chair in the crowd and kissed the boy on his forehead. The boy was 10 year old Michael Keating, who has cerebral palsy and cannot communicate. But the Lord works in mysterious ways! KUDOS to Pope Francis. Sir, this is what you need to be doing everywhere and stay away from the liberal BS on climate change and the political fray. You are a religious inspiration and need to bring people back to the faith and provide others with it. Stay Holy and away from politics, please.
Pope Francis kissed the forehead of a boy with cerebral palsy after landing in Philadelphia on Saturday morning, coaxing a small smile from the severely disabled 10-year-old.
Francis apparently spied Michael Keating as he was being driven away from the plane. Ordering the Fiat to stop, Francis got out and walked over to the boy, put his hand on his head and kissed him as his sobbing mother looked on.
Kristin Keating thanked the pope, who grasped her hand. Francis also shook the hand of Keating’s husband, Chuck Keating, the band director at Bishop Shanahan High School in Downingtown. The band serenaded Francis as he arrived in Philadelphia for the last leg of his six-day visit to the United States.
“It was an unbelievable feeling,” Kristin Keating said of the papal encounter, adding she felt “totally blessed and loved” by the pope.
Imagine That … Barack Obama Leaves Out “God” & “God Bless America” From 4th of July Weekly Address (VIDEO)
Of course this should come as a shock to none …
During this weekends 4th of July presidential address, Barack Obama remembered to talk about grilling hot dogs and hamburgers, reminded us it was Maliah’s birthday, referenced the Declaration, thanked those who defend America, cheered on Team USA, woman’s World Cup soccer team, but seemed to miss something rather important at the end. How does one do a weekly address about America’s independence and not say, God Bless America? You know damn well he read this from a teleprompter, so either the words were loaded in there or they weren’t. If not, wouldn’t one think that Obama could ad lib and add them to his weekly address? I guess not. With no more elections left, I guess he feels the need not to say it anymore.
So Obama referenced during his address that our founding patriots declared our independence, proclaiming that all of us are created equal, endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights including the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. I guess we know longer call them Our Founding Fathers. This was a rather interesting comment as Obama said, “And it’s been the work of each successive generation to keep this founding creed safe by making sure its words apply to every single American.” Note to Obama, you said American … not illegal immigrant.
“Remarks of President Barack Obama
The White House
July 4, 2015
Happy Fourth of July, everybody. Like many of you, Michelle, Sasha, Malia, and I are going to spend the day outdoors, grilling burgers and dogs, and watching the fireworks with our family and friends. It’s also Malia’s birthday, which always makes the Fourth extra fun for us.
As always, we’ve invited some very special guests to our backyard barbecue – several hundred members of our military and their families. On this most American of holidays, we remember that all who serve here at home and overseas, represent what today is all about. And we remember that their families serve, too. We are so grateful for their service and for their sacrifice.
We remember as well that this is the day when, 239 years ago, our founding patriots declared our independence, proclaiming that all of us are created equal, endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights including the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
A couple of centuries later, we have made ourselves into a big, bold, dynamic, and diverse country. We are of all races, we come from all places, we practice all faiths, and believe in all sorts of different ideas. But our allegiance to this declaration – this idea – is the creed that binds us together. It’s what, out of many, makes us one.
And it’s been the work of each successive generation to keep this founding creed safe by making sure its words apply to every single American. Folks have fought, marched, protested, even died for that endeavor, proving that as Americans, our destiny is not written for us, but by us.
We honor those heroes today. We honor everyone who continually strives to make this country a better, stronger, more inclusive, and more hopeful place. We, the people, pledge to make their task our own – to secure the promise of our founding words for our own children, and our children’s children.
And finally, what better weekend than this to cheer on Team USA – good luck to the U.S. Women’s National Team in the World Cup Final!
Thanks, everybody. From my family to yours, have a safe and happy Fourth of July.”
EXIT QUESTION: Are hotdogs and hamburgers allowed on Michelle Obama’s approved lunch foods?
