ACTUALLY HE NEEDS TO RESIGN NOW!
In the wake of multiple sexual harassment claims, U.S. Representative John Conyers (D-MI) will not seek re-election to the House in 2018. After receiving praise for being a political Icon by Democrat House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, the backlash against the Congressman has been massive following the many allegations of sexual harassment. The calls for Conyers to resign have been growing. However, he states that he will not be forced out of office. Wanna bet? The pressure will become too much for Conyers to stay. The archaic, dinosaur mentality of this man thinking he can withstand the sexual harassment and assault purge is just that, prehistoric. According to his attorney Arnold Reed, “He’s not going to be forced out of office, and no one has told him he has to leave. He has not indicated he’s going to resign at this point.” The key word here is “at this point.” It is only a matter of time. No one is immune to this wave, not even members of the black caucus.
The controversy swirling around Michigan Rep. John Conyers has intensified this week as former staff members accused him of sexual harassment.
Sources told Local 4 that Conyers will not seek re-election for a new term in the wake of the scandal, which continues to grow.
Two sources close to the Conyers situation told Local 4′s Rod Meloni that the congressman won’t resign. It’s his intent to announce in January that he won’t run for re-election in 2018.
His attorney said the allegations are not true, but Conyers is under increased scrutiny, and his family is rallying around him.
Conyers caught a bit of a break Wednesday as the Congressional Black Caucus met in Washington and Chairman Cedric Richmond disputed the stories saying he is pushing for Conyers to resign.
Among the former staffers accusing Conyers of sexual harassment is Deanna Maher, who claimed Conyers sexually harassed her three times, including undressing to his underwear in her bedroom while she was in a nightgown.
THE LEFT LOSING THEIR MINDS IN THE WAKE OF FBI REOPENING CLINTON EMAIL CASE …
It wasn’t too long ago that FBI James Comey was the darling of the LEFT when defied logic and pretty much all procedures how and FBI investigation was done when he ignored all of the the evidence against Hillary Clinton and stated that he would not ask for prosecution against her. That was then and this is now, today Comey reopened the private email server case and the LEFT is now calling for his resignation. Priceless. Team Clinton is calling on the FBI to release what they have. Sorry Hillary, it does not work that way.
Donald Trump’s oft-repeated claim that the FBI’s investigation of “Crooked Hillary” and the presidential election itself were and are “rigged,” seems to have thrown FBI Director James Comey into a state of panic. In foolishly making a public announcement that the bureau is reviewing newly discovered emails related to Hillary Clinton’s personal server, he has inserted himself yet again into the presidential campaign.
The FBI virtually never announces the commencement or termination of ongoing criminal investigations. Such inquiries are often conducted in relative secrecy, enabling a more efficient investigation.
It is not unusual for investigations in so-called “white collar” cases to go on for years, luring the target into an unfounded belief that he or she is in the clear. Then the hammer falls. A grand jury indictment is announced by the Department of Justice and the handcuffs are swiftly employed.
The old, sensible FBI rule book apparently has been thrown on the trash heap this year. While undoubtedly attempting to be open and “transparent,” to protect the reputation of the FBI, the FBI director has tossed a Molotov cocktail into the presidential race.
Voters must now be subjected to endless speculation in the press and explicit accusations from the Trump campaign and other Republicans candidates that Hillary is a “criminal” aided and abetted by a rigged FBI and Justice Department. Comey’s “openness and transparency” will blow up in his face and further tarnish the FBI’s reputation. He has reinserted the bureau into the political process.
The director probably feared that leaks would lead to speculation that a renewed Hillary investigation was underway. In trying to get ahead of criticism of the FBI for jumping to a conclusion too quickly and closing the original Hillary investigation, he has only made matters worse and inserted a huge new issue into the presidential campaign, 11 days before the election.
In truth, investigations open and close routinely secretly when new evidence comes to light. Each new scrap in a pile of useful or useless evidence is not announced in real time, like a scandal in a scripted reality TV Show. Perhaps it’s time for the embattled FBI director who seems to have forgotten how to conduct a proper investigation to resign.
Comey’s public announcement in July that the FBI had concluded its investigation regarding Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server in the conduct of official State Department business and would not recommend the lodging of criminal charges was historically unprecedented in a high-profile political case.
83 Year Old Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Crosses the Line … Calls Trump a “Faker” (Update: Trump Responds, “Her Mind is Shot, Resign!)
JUST IMAGINE WHAT THE MSM WOULD BE SAYING IF JUSTICE CLARENCE THOMAS MADE SUCH A COMMENT ABOUT HILLARY CLINTON?
Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg crossed the line when she made insulting and partisan political comments regarding Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee for president. Justice Ginsburg called Trump “a faker” who must release his tax returns and criticized the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, for having no consistency and for saying whatever comes into his head at any moment. She went on to say that Trump had an ego and could not imagine the possibility that Trump could be president. In the same CNN interview, Ginsburg suggested she believes the next president will be presumptive Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton. Of course there was no mention from Justice Ginsburg that Hillary was a liar and an unindicted fraud who put the United States national security at risk with the use of her private email server while serving as Secretary of State under Barack Obama. Of course not. But these bizarre comments, that certainly crossed the line, also seem to create the appearance of impropriety that Ginsburg could ever act in an non-bias manner if trump was elected President.
“How has he gotten away with not turning over his tax returns?” Ginsburg said late Monday, according to CNN. “The press seems to be very gentle with him on that
“Every other presidential candidate has turned over tax returns,” she said.
Ginsburg also criticized Trump, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, for having no consistency and for saying whatever comes into his head at any moment.
“He really has an ego,” she said.
“I think he has gotten so much free publicity. At first I thought it was funny. To think that there’s a possibility that he could be president.”
Really, who has an ego and who has no consistency and for saying whatever comes into his head at any moment? One might just say that about you RBG. How on earth could this justice ever judge a case fairly?
Rep. Lamar Smith (R-Texas) says Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg crossed a line attacking Donald Trump.
“It was totally inexcusable and unprofessional for Justice Ginsburg to insult a presidential candidate,” he said Tuesday on the House floor, according to The Washington Examiner. “It hurt the credibility of the Supreme Court and it showed bad judgment.
“It will be difficult for the American people to believe Justice Ginsburg can be impartial in any rulings that involve political issues,” added Smith, who has endorsed Trump. “[It will] only contribute to the public’s feeling that justice system may be rigged.”
In response to Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s ‘Faker’ comments, Donald Trump called for Ruth Bader Ginsburg to resign. Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee tweeted Justice Ginsburg’s “mind is shot” and should “resign.”
My personal opinion is that this may just backfire on the LEFT and be just what Donald Trump needed just ahead of the GOP National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio. These are the kinds of things that the GOP needs to be slapped upside the head with, especially the establishment and Never-Trumpers. We all know the political system is rigged, now we are witness the the SCOTUS being rigged too. Justices are never supposed to dabble in the political rhealm for the appearance of bias when ruling on cases. So much for that now. 83 year old RBG embarrassed herself and as Slate reported, may have risked her legacy to insult Donald Trump.
These comments will most certainly be spoken at the RNC and all will be reminded that elections have consequences. Numerous SCOTUS positions will most likely be nominated by the next president, RGB being one of them.
BREXIT … ITS OFFICIAL, BRITAIN VOTES TO LEAVE EU!!!
The will of the people … In a historic decision, Britain has voted to leave the European Union by a 52% to 48% margin.
Britain has voted to leave the European Union, a historic decision sure to reshape the nation’s place in the world, rattle the Continent and rock political establishments throughout the West.
Not long after the vote tally was completed, Prime Minister David Cameron, who led the campaign to remain in the bloc, appeared in front of 10 Downing Street to announce that he planned to step down by October, saying the country deserved a leader committed to carrying out the will of the people.
The stunning turn of events was accompanied by a plunge in the financial markets, with the value of the British pound and stock prices plummeting.
The margin of victory startled even proponents of a British exit. The “Leave” campaign won by 52 percent to 48 percent. More than 17.4 million people voted in the referendum on Thursday to sever ties with the European Union, and about 16.1 million to remain in the bloc.
UPDATE I: PM David Cameron to step down.
David Cameron has resigned, bringing an abrupt end to his six-year premiership, after the British public took the momentous decision to reject his entreaties and turn their back on the European Union.
Just a year after he clinched a surprise majority in the general election, a visibly emotional Cameron, standing outside Number 10 on Friday morning alongside his wife, Samantha, said: “The will of the British people is an instruction that must be delivered.”
The prime minister campaigned hard in the divisive referendum on Britain’s relationship with the EU, appearing at hundreds of public events up and down the country to argue that Brexit would be an act of “economic self-harm”.
But a frustrated electorate used the poll to reject the status quo, and, as the Ukip leader, Nigel Farage, described it, “stick two fingers up” at Britain’s politicians.
“I was absolutely clear about my belief that Britain is stronger, safer and better off inside the EU. I made clear the referendum was about this, and this alone, not the future of any single politician, including myself.
“But the British people made a different decision to take a different path. As such I think the country requires fresh leadership to take it in this direction,” Cameron said.
This is most likely just the start, its only a matter of time before other countries have their own referendums and take their countries back.
STEPPING DOWN …
Rachel Dolezal, the woman who faked her racial identity, has resigned as the president of the NAACP Spokane chapter. Rachel Dolezal portrayed herself as a black woman; however, she was outed by her parents as being white. Much of her past was made up. Her estranged parents told reporters last week that she is “Caucasian by birth,” with Czech, Swedish, German and a trace of Native American ancestry, even though she has been representing herself as black for years. The revelation that the Spokane NAACP chapter president was in fact white only had one conclusion. THIS WAS IT. You pretty much knew the handwriting was on the wall when Dolezal was scheduled to address the matter at a chapter meeting on Monday night, but the meeting was postponed.
So how much of this resignation was internal pressure? They can say all the right things externally, but as one can plainly see from the VIDEO below, there were some if not many who were openly upset that a white woman dare pass herself off as black. The activists stated, “I am sorry, you may not copy ‘MY’ people’s struggle.” So why is it being reported that she faked her racial identity, rather than she feels like she is a black woman? Hmm, isn’t that bigoted?
Dear Executive Committee and NAACP Members,
It is a true honor to serve in the racial and social justice movement here in Spokane and across the nation. Many issues face us now that drive at the theme of urgency. Police brutality, biased curriculum in schools, economic disenfranchisement, health inequities, and a lack of pro-justice political representation are among the concerns at the forefront of the current administration of the Spokane NAACP. And yet, the dialogue has unexpectedly shifted internationally to my personal identity in the context of defining race and ethnicity.
I have waited in deference while others expressed their feelings, beliefs, confusions and even conclusions – absent the full story. I am consistently committed to empowering marginalized voices and believe that many individuals have been heard in the last hours and days that would not otherwise have had a platform to weigh in on this important discussion. Additionally, I have always deferred to the state and national NAACP leadership and offer my sincere gratitude for their unwavering support of my leadership through this unexpected firestorm. [...]
It is with complete allegiance to the cause of racial and social justice and the NAACP that I step aside from the Presidency and pass the baton to my Vice President, Naima Quarles-Burnley. It is my hope that by securing a beautiful office for the organization in the heart of downtown, bringing the local branch into financial compliance, catalyzing committees to do strategic work in the five Game Changer issues, launching community forums, putting the membership on a fast climb, and helping many individuals find the legal, financial and practical support needed to fight race-based discrimination, I have positioned the Spokane NAACP to buttress this transition.
From Cornell William Brooks, NAACP President & CEO:
“The NAACP is not concerned with the racial identity of our leadership but the institutional integrity of our advocacy. Our focus must be on issues not individuals. Ms. Rachel Dolezal has decided to resign to ensure that the Spokane branch remains focused on fighting for civil and human rights. This resignation today comes amidst the real work of the NAACP and the real challenges to our democracy. (more)
