Food Stamp Enrollment Dips to Lowest Level in 8 Years

MAKE NO MISTAKE, PRESIDENT TRUMP IS NOT BARACK OBAMA, THE FOOD STAMP PRESIDENT.

According to the latest statistics released by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) via Breitbart, the overall enrollment in the nation’s food stamp program has dipped to its lowest level in eight years. This is a far cry from the days of former President Obama. Instead, President Trump is making Americans lives better in so many ways and taking them off the dependency of the federal government.

The latest USDA data reveals that enrollment in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)—the federal government program that administers food stamps—dropped to 40,083,954 in March 2018.

The last time enrollment in the food stamp program reached that level was February 2010, when 39,588,993 people participated in the nation’s food stamp program.

Although overall enrollment has reached its lowest point in eight years, food stamp enrollment has been declining steadily since 2013 and has only continued throughout President Trump’s first year in office.

Under Trump, 2.2 million fewer people have discontinued their participation in SNAP, mainly due to the Trump administration’s attempts to reform SNAP by controlling program costs at the federal and state levels.

An Economic Tale of Two Presidents … Trump Economy Far Better than Obama’s Food Stamp Presidency

A TALE OF TWO ECONOMIES …

The comparison of the Donald Trump and Barack Obama economies can best be describes like a Tale of Two Cities, “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair.” Guess which one was which? Just look at the color codes numbers below that compare November of 2016 under Obama and November of 2017 under President Donald Trump. Even partisan Democrats can compare these numbers. Ever wonder why the liberal, bias media does not want to tout Trump’s accomplishments and continuously report on a Russian collusion story that does not exist? Because Americans are back to work, including Blacks and Hispanics. Under Obama in Nov. 2016. Black unemployment was at 8.1% and for Hispanics 5.7%. However, under Trump in Nov. 2017, Black unemployment is down to 7.3% and Hispanics at 4.1%. In Nov. 2017, manufacturing unemployment rate fell to a record low under Trump. The manufacturing sector added 31,000 jobs, while its unemployment rate fell to a record-low 2.6%. Under Obama, he claimed the manufacturing jobs were gone for good and many were lost on his watch.

For Barack Obama, he was the Food Stamp president. Donald Trump is the economic recovery president. Add the Stock market president too. The DOW is currently at 24,329.16. Remember when the foolish LEFT said on election night that the Stock market was going to crash because of a Trump election? How did that work out?

More than 1.1 Million Americans Dropped Off the Food Stamp Rolls Since President Trump Took office in January 2017

MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN …

According to the latest U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) statistics on food stamp enrollment, more than 1.1 million Americans dropped off the food stamp rolls since President Trump took office in January 2017. Trump is not just making America great again with jobs, but also having Americans dropping off of food stamps. Unlike Barack Obama who was the Food Stamp president, Trump wants people to get jobs, become independent from the government and be self-sufficient.

Trump Thumbs up

Participation in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) dropped to 41,496,255 in May 2017, the most recent data available from the USDA, from 42,691,363 in January 2017 when Trump took office.

According to the latest data, SNAP enrollment during the first few months of Trump’s presidency decreased by 2.79 percent.

Food stamp participation on average in 2017 has dropped to its lowest level since 2010, and the latest numbers show that this trend is continuing.

Trump proposed cuts to SNAP in his 2018 budget proposal, suggesting that states match up to 20 percent of federal money allotted for the food stamp program and expand work requirements for able-bodied adults receiving food stamps.

Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration has also prompted many immigrants, both legal and illegal, to cancel their food stamps over concerns that they might be denied citizenship or deported.

Barack Obama, The Poverty President … 3 Million More Children in Poverty Under Obama

BARACK OBAMA, THE POVERTY PRESIDENT IMAGINE THAT, MORE CHILDREN IN POVERTY TODAY THAN DURING 2008 RECESSION.

Since Barack Obama has become president, 3 million more children live in poverty, including an amazing number of black children. So much for the first black president changing the conditions for black American children, instead he has made matters worse. This is simply criminal, especially as this president has caused division among the races and promoted class warfare. Yet, Obama has done nothing to help the poor and those in poverty, even with his redistribution of wealth. There is a reason why Obama is known as the food stamp president. This is a kin to child abuse. Imagine what the MSM news headlines would be if a white Republican president had resided under such conditions for black and Hispanic children? Obama is simply an epic failure and will go down as the worst president in history.

But blacks and Hispanics continue to vote For Democrats in droves as their lives are made more miserable by their liberal agenda. If this same data occurred during the presidency of a Republican the media would be asking, why does the GOP hate children.

Poverty_children 2013

Ever since President Obama took office, the poverty rate among children has soared to 22 percent, with three million more children living in poor conditions, according to an authoritative new report released Tuesday.

The 2015 “KIDS COUNT” report from the Annie E. Casey Foundation said that the percentage of children living in poverty jumped from 18 percent in 2008, the year Obama was elected, to 22 percent in 2013. It added that the rate dropped from 2012 to 2013, in line with the improving economy.

The child poverty rate among African Americans (39 percent) was more than double the rate for non-Hispanic whites (14 percent) in 2013.

• In 2013, three in 10 children (22.8 million) lived in families where no parent had full-time, year-round employment. Since 2008, the number of such children climbed by nearly 2.7 million.

• Roughly half of all American Indian children (50 percent) and African-American children (48 percent) had no parent with full-time, year-round employment in 2013, compared with 37 percent of Latino children, 24 percent of non-Hispanic white children and 23 percent of Asian and Pacific Islander children.”

More from USA Today ... So much for the war on poverty.

“The fact that it’s happening is disturbing on lots of levels,” said Laura Speer, the associate director for policy reform and advocacy at the Casey Foundation, a non-profit based in Baltimore. “Those kids often don’t have the access to the things they need to thrive.” The foundation says its mission is to help low-income children in the U.S. by providing grants and advocating for policies that promote economic opportunity.

The report examined data from several federal agencies ranging from 2008 to 2013 to assess state-by-state trends of 16 factors of children’s well-being, including economics, education, health and family and community. It found that one in four children — a total of 18.7 million kids — lived in low-income households in 2013; low-income families were defined as those who use more than 30% of their pre-tax income for housing.

The report also examined racial disparities between children living in low-income households. Black, Hispanic and American Indian children were more than twice as likely to live in poverty than white children, the report said.

Almost 1 in 5 Households Will Celebrate Thanksgiving 2014 on Food Stamps

THANKS BARACK OBAMA …

Welcome to Obama’s 2014 Thanksgiving for America. As reported at CNS News, nearly one in five U.S. households will celebrate Thanksgiving on food stamps this year, according to the latest data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture on participation in the Supplemental Nutrition and Assistance Program. Don’t worry though, the Obama’s wont go without, let them eat cake pie.

They don’t call him the Food Stamp president for nothing. But then again, he likes a government dependent class of people.

As of this August, according to the most recent data released by USDA, there were 22,729,389 households on food stamps. That equaled 19.75 percent of 115,048,000 households in the country at that time.

In each of the two previous fiscal years, the percentage of American households on food stamps in the average was near 20 percent, hitting 19.4 percent in 2012, 20.4 percent in 2013.

As of August, according to the Department of Agriculture, there were 46,484,828 individuals in the food stamp program.
