Add Fisker Automotive to the long list of Obama’s green energy investment failures. As reported at Bloomberg, Fisker Automotive is firing as much as 75% of workforce. President Barack Obama and the Department of Energy should be forced to explain to the “We the People” why they pissed away the American tax payers hard earned money and continue to do so with these wasteful investments in to so-called green energy. When will the MSM ever do their job and hold Obama accountable? When will the American people ever wake up and do the same?

Fisker Automotive Inc.’s mass firings after receiving federal loans to build luxury plug-in cars is adding to the political debate over the U.S. government’s funding of clean-energy programs.

Most of the assets of Fisker’s battery supplier that received a $249.1 million federal grant, the former A123 Systems Inc. (AONEQ), were acquired last year by a Chinese company. Now Fisker, awarded $529 million in U.S. loans, is firing 75 percent of its workforce after failing to secure a deal with an automotive partner to fund operations.

The debacle is reviving questions over whether the government should be funding makers of alternative energy ventures. Fisker and A123, whose bankruptcy halted Fisker’s output, have drawn Republican criticism of President Barack Obama’s support of green-energy programs intended to spur more fuel-efficient cars.

How long will it be until Fisker Automotive declares bankruptcy? Its already on the list of Obama’s green energy investment failures.  Obama’s green energy investments have been a joke, now they are officially a complete joke.

As reported at the NY Times,  the United States [Obama] has canceled the final phase of a Europe-based missile defense system that was fiercely opposed by Russia.  As Just One Minute  correctly states, “the election and the North Korean missile tests give Obama the excuse to do what he wanted to do anyway.” Just how weak and clueless is Obama as a Commander in Chief?

 

The United States has effectively canceled the final phase of a Europe-based missile defense system that was fiercely opposed by Russia and cited repeatedly by the Kremlin as a major obstacle to cooperation on nuclear arms reductions and other issues.

Russian officials here have so far declined to comment on the announcement, which was made in Washington on Friday by Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel as part of a plan to deploy additional ballistic missile interceptors to counter North Korea. The cancellation of some European-based defenses will allow resources to be shifted to protect against North Korea.

Venezuela’s acting president urged U.S. leader Barack Obama to stop what he called a plot by the Pentagon and the Central Intelligence Agency to kill his opposition rival and trigger a coup before an April 14 election.

Nicolas Maduro said the plan was to blame his opponent’s murder on the OPEC nation’s government and to “fill Venezuelans with hate” as they prepare to go to vote following the death of socialist leader Hugo Chavez.

Maduro first mentioned a plot against his rival, Henrique Capriles, last week, blaming it on former Bush administration officials Roger Noriega and Otto Reich. Both rejected the allegations as untrue, outrageous and defamatory.

“I call on President Obama – Roger Noriega, Otto Reich, officials at the Pentagon and at the CIA are behind a plan to assassinate the right-wing presidential candidate to create chaos,” Maduro said in a TV interview broadcast on Sunday.

Maduro, who is Chavez’s preferred successor, said the purpose of the plot was to set off a coup and that his information came from “a very good source.”

Barack Obama Couldn’t Eat Food With GOP Senators Because There was no Presidential Food ‘Taster’

Obama agrees to eat lunch with Republicans but his Royal Highness did not touch the food because he did not bring his good taster. You mean to tell me the tax payers pay for an individual to eat the food before Obama does to see if they keel over and die from poisoned food? I would hate to be the poor sap who has that job.  Obama has a food “taster” and he dare make references of others as the 1%?

So does a taster go to all the other eateries that Obama frequents and try the Chili Dogs, hot dogs, hamburgers, etc. before Obama eats it? Or is it just the food prepared at the GOP luncheon that he is afraid is poisoned? Its a good thing the Presidential food “taster” was not around when Obama ate dog.

President Barack Obama Says He Won’t Balance Budget ‘Just for the Sake of Balance’ … In Other Words, He Will Never Balance It!

File the following under something we did not know … Barack Obama has no intention of ever balancing the budget.

In an exclusive interview with ABC News, President Barack Obama rejected calls to balance the federal budget, as set forth by Rep. Paul Ryan (WI-R) in his recently released budget, in the next ten years and instead argued that his primary economic concern was not balancing the budget, but rather growing the economy. HUH? Growing the economy, how does this socialist, anti-capitalist, over-regulating president plan on doing this? What a shock, Barack Obama has returned back to his fear mongering and smear tactics after Paul Ryan released a responsible way to provide growth and reduce the budget. Let’s face it, Obama has no idea what he is doing with the economy and does not plan to reduce the deficit, because he is the one who has mainly helped in creating this $16 trillion and counting debt. The only growth that Obama knows is the record number of Americans on food stamps.

 Obama, I plan on balancing the budget this much.

My goal is not to chase a balanced budget just for the sake of balance. My goal is how do we grow the economy, put people back to work, and if we do that we are going to be bringing in more revenue,” he said. Obama rejected a proposal put forth by Rep. Paul Ryan today that would balance the budget in ten years, saying the Republican House member’s plan “slashes deeply” at programs like Medicaid.

Instead, Obama went back to his more comfortable demonization and “Divider” in Chief, community agitator mode and told George Stephanopoulos that Ryan and Republicans are attempting to balance the budget on the backs of the poor, the elderly, students. So much for the “offensive charm”, welcome back the blame and division of America. So I guess Obama is trying to destroy America on the fronts of the poor, elderly and students? Just wondering, what ever happened to shared sacrifice and everyone is supposed to have skin in the game, including the poor, elderly and students?

We’re not gonna balance the budget in ten years because if you look at what Paul Ryan does to balance the budget, it means that you have to voucher-ize Medicare, you have to slash deeply into programs like Medicaid, you’ve essentially got to — either tax — middle class families a lot higher than you currently are, or you can’t lower rates the way he’s promised,” the president told me. “So it’s really, you know, it’s a reprise of the same legislation that he’s put before.” “If we controlled spending and we have a smart entitlement package, then potentially what you have is balance — but it is not balance to, on the backs of the poor, the elderly, students who need student loans, families that have disabled kids. That is not the right way to balance,” he said.

 As we are reminded by the WAPO, Obama plans to release his own budget plan in April, two months after the president is required to announce his budget priorities to Congress. Far be it from Obama to actually perform the required duties of his office. Yet another case of leading from behind as Obama will first see the Ryan and Senate Democrat plan before he puts together his own. Like he would know how to create a budget in the first place. With this deficit $trillion spending president, it is akin to an alcoholic penning his own “what I will not drink today” plan.

It would appear the second honeymoon is now over for President Barack Obama as his job approval ratings are plummeting. In a recent Reuters/IPSOS Poll, Obama’s approval rating has fallen to 43%. Are the people finally fed up with this president and his same old, one trick pony political blame game? The people thought that a reelection of Obama would some how cause him to become a leader. Instead, his thin skinned attacks and blame game are as vocal as ever. The sequestration lies and misrepresentations from Obama are a double whammy for Obama. On one hand you have “We the People” sick and tired of the president and Congress unable to do their jobs. On the other hand you have “We the People” sick of Obama and his minions exaggerations and lies that the world will end if sequestration took place. Just last week Gallup had Obama’s job approval back into the 40′s.

Less than two months into his second term, President Barack Obama’s approval rating has dropped and Americans blame him and his fellow Democrats almost as much as his Republican opponents for a fiscal mess.

A Reuters/Ipsos online poll released on Wednesday showed 43 percent of people approve of Obama’s handling of his job, down 7 percentage points from February 19.

Most of that steep drop came in the week to February 26 when it was becoming clear that Washington was going to be unable to put aside partisan differences and agree to halt automatic budget cuts which started last Friday.

Confounding the White House’s efforts to blame Republicans for the cuts, most respondents in the online survey hold both Democrats and Republicans responsible.

Jammie Wearing Fools have further issues that Americans have grown weary of from this president does everything to distract “We the People” as he des nothing to improve job growth.

Gun control, immigration, so-called climate change and gay rights do nothing to help our economy, which is why he’s using those as a distraction from his endless economic failures. For all the squabbling over piddling cuts in future spending, nobody seems to ask why his trillion-dollar sequester has shown zero results.

Gallup Job Approval Poll has Barack Obama are Back in the 40′s

President Barack Obama’s job approval numbers  are back into the 40′s. It’s only a matter of time that voters have buyer’s remorse and are sick and tired of the lack of leadership from this president. The consistent excuses and blame are growing old. So is the lack of jobs. Obama is the worst job recovery President since the Great Depression. Obama can no longer blame Bush and his exaggerations of the apocalypse of  sequestration will be his undoing. Americans patients will grow thin when they realize that he cares more about his legacy than what’s good for Americans and the United States.

UPDATE I:  As reported at the Politico, Obama’s approval rating was 46 percent between Feb 29 and March 2, down from 53 percent a week earlier.

The drop comes after Obama and Congress failed to reach a last-minute deal and automatic sequester cuts kicked in across the government on Friday.

His disapproval rating also jumped to its highest level since November, hitting 46 percent over the weekend, up from 40 percent a week earlier.

Is it a coincidence that Obama’s approval ratings have fallen following the sequestration, or is it a result of? As stated at Powerline, Obama made promises he did not keep, he has made outlandish claims that the sky would fall and he lied when he claimed the sequestration was not his idea. Are the people finally getting fed up with Obama?

Is it because folks remembered President Obama’s promise during one of the debates that there will be no sequester? Is it because wrod got out that the sequester was Obama’s idea? Is it because folks don’t mind the sequester and resent Obama’s effort to make it sound like the end of the world?

This morning on FOX News Sunday, former Democrat Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi told Chris Wallace “it was almost a false argument to say the US has a spending problem.” That is correct, San Fran Nan actually said that the US did not have a spending problem. She not only said it once, she said it twice. Yea, no spending problem, that’s why the federal deficit has been over a trillion dollars every year since Obama has been in office. Could some one explain to me how these people are elected?

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Sunday called sequestration “a bad idea all around” and urged a balance of spending cuts and closed tax loopholes to avoid it.

Pelosi rebuffed GOP calls for the sequester replacement to focus exclusively on targeting more spending cuts and entitlement reforms.

“It is almost a false argument to say we have a spending problem. We have a budget deficit problem that we have to address,” she told Fox News’s Chris Wallace on Sunday.

Pelosi added that the deficit and debt are at “immoral levels” and “must be reduced.”

“It isn’t as much a spending problem as much as it is priorities,” she said, arguing that tax subsidies were a better target than additional cuts that could hit programs such as education.

A recent FOX News poll indicated that 83% of Americans think that the federal government has a spending problem. Um, how did Obama win reelection again?  How does Pelosi come up with such an idiotic statement and actually keep a straight face? Could the Botox have finally got to her brain, the Lonely Conservative seems to think so and with all that plastic surgery, it’s rather easy to keep a straight face. BTW House Minority Leader Pelosi, with all the money that we have spent on education, it has failed our children.

The 100 employees who are being laid off at  Smith & Nephew Orthopedics in Memphis, TN and Andover, MA can than President Barack Obama and Obamacare for their new found unemployment. The lay offs are being attributed to Obamacare and the excise tax was built into the Affordable Healthcare Act and took effect on January 1, 2013 that puts a 2.3% tax on medical devices. Just yet more brilliance from Barack Obama and the government take over of healthcare. With a poor economy and a jobs market that continues to struggle with job growth, Obama has done his part to make sure even more Americans lose their jobs. All in the name of taxes and increasing g revenue to pay fro his boondoggle called Obamacare.

I guess its kind of hard for you to keep your insurance and doctors like I promised if you lose your job, eh?

Smith & Nephew Orthopedics is laying off an estimated 100 employees in Memphis and Andover, Mass., citing the 2.3 percent excise tax on orthopedic device companies as the reason.

Joe Metzger, senior vice president of corporate communications for Smith & Nephew, said the tax is impacting “a number of companies across the U.S.”

“Smith & Nephew is not immune from this added expense burden,” Metzger said in a statement. “Unfortunately, and in order to absorb this cost burden into our business, this has meant less than 100 positions have been made redundant across various departmental functions in our Tennessee and Massachusetts sites. The company is providing the affected employees with a comprehensive severance package and outplacement support.”

Smith & Nephew employs an estimated 1,815 people in Memphis, according to Memphis Business Journal research. Metzger declined to reveal how many of the roughly 100 layoffs occurred in Memphis. A report in the Memphis Daily News, quoting anonymous sources, said there were 60 local jobs lost.

Just curious, if Obamacare is so affordable, why are people losing their jobs to pay for it?

January 2013 Unemployment Rate Increases to 7.9% … Welcome to the Continued Obama Jobless Recovery

2013 starts off with the same pathetic, ho-hum economic jobs data as 2012 ended. The economy adds another yawn 157,000 jobs in January as the unemployment rate ticks up to 7.9%. Get used to it America, you are the ones who reelected Barack Obama and his failed economic policies. Did you expect things to change with regards to jobs when you reelected that same failed policies and agenda? Welcome to the jobless Obama recovery. How can anyone expect job growth to change when we have a president who believes in increasing taxes and over-regulating business? So is Obama and his minions going to still blame George W. Bush? No, they will blame House Republicans for the next four years. They will find blame with anyone, except Barack Obama.

Obama is laughing at you America for reelecting him

The new year started off with an old story: Employment grew again in January but not at a pace able to lower the jobless rate.

Nonfarm payrolls rose 157,000 for the first month of 2013 while the unemployment rate edged higher to 7.9 percent, news unlikely to alter the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy or instill confidence that the recovery is gaining steam.

Economists were looking for 160,000 net new jobs created with the unemployment rate holding steady at 7.8 percent.

The ho-hum jobs numbers for January were accompanied by substantial revisions higher for previous months, according to the report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

From the Department of Labor:

The number of unemployed persons, at 12.3 million, was little changed in January. The
unemployment rate was 7.9 percent and has been at or near that level since September 2012.
(See table A-1.) (See the note and tables B and C for information about annual population
adjustments to the household survey estimates.)

Among the major worker groups, the unemployment rates for adult men (7.3 percent), adult
women (7.3 percent), teenagers (23.4 percent), whites (7.0 percent), blacks (13.8 percent),
and Hispanics (9.7 percent) showed little or no change in January. The jobless rate for
Asians was 6.5 percent (not seasonally adjusted), little changed from a year earlier.
(See tables A-1, A-2, and A-3.)

Just yesterday the Labor Department stated that the weekly initial claims for state unemployment benefits increased 38,000 to 368,000. Of course this was coupled with Obama ending his failed Jobs Council that met four times in two years. Just curious, do the members of this joke of a Council considered lost jobs? Obama’s minions actually have the nerve to tout this group as a success because the unemployment rate has come down in the past two years. Of course this fails to address the issue that millions of Americans have simply left the work force.
