Florida US Representative Democrat Robert Wexler to Resign from Congress

Seven term US Representative Robert Wexler, D-Boca Raton, has stated that he is resigning from Congress. He is reportedly taking a job with a nonprofit that promotes peace in the Middle East.

Initial reports were that Wexler, an early supporter of Barack Obama, might be in line for an appointment in the Obama administration. However, it appears that Wexler is taking a public policy job that deals with the Middle East.

This resignation is kind of ironic if you think about it. A US Rep that supports Obama who claims he is against lobbyists, leaves Congress to become a J-Street lobbyist. Priceless: Ahmadinejad accuses Obama of interference in Iran when “The One” has not even lifted a finger in any meaningful manner to help the Iranian protestors. BTW, Obama gets no points for the lack of support to freedom. Just more useless words as Iranians are gunned down in the streets wanting liberty and freedom. Remember during the 2008 Presidential campaign when Barack Obama stated that we needed a change in how we dealt with Iran? Obama stated  that he would meet with any foreign dictator who was an enemy of the United States without preconditions. John McCain called such foreign policy dangerous and naive. The Obamamessiah actually believed he could improve relations with Iran just by talking nicely. Guess what, John McCain was correct. Unbelievable.

It was a kindler, gentler and weaker American foreign policy that would make the US the laughing stock of the world and serve no useful purpose. Never was that more evident than with Obama’s “hot dog” foreign policy where even Obama was finally shamed into stopping the slap in the face July 4th Iranian diplomat invitation.

President Barack Obama stated that Iran has the right the have nuclear power as long as they use it for good and not evil. That is correct. Barack Hussein Obama thinks its perfectly fine for Iran and their crazed leader President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to have nuclear capability. Are we really supposed to believe that a country with the vast amount of oil that Iran has wants nuclear capability for the use of power rather than bombs?

Hey Barack, are you trying to create a war in the Middle East? How long do you think Israel is going to put up with this? Then again, Obama does seem to be crossing the line with Israel. Iran, a sworn enemy to both the USA and Israel, and we have a President that thinks Iran’s fanatical government is going to use nuclear technology for good. US and Israel relations have certainly taken a turn under Barack Hussein Obama. Not for the better. Why would anyone want to alienate one of the United States greatest allies?

President-elect Barack Obama picks former Clinton Chief of Staff Leon Panetta to be to be CIA Director? HUH? This is a beyond surprise and strange pick by the Chosen One. Why on earth would one chose an individual with “zero” experience in the intelligence field at a point and time when intelligence on our enemies is a prime issue in our countries security? We all know that Obama has little experience to be President, one would have hoped that he would have picked experienced individuals to safeguard our country. One has to continue to scratch their heads at the continued picking of former Clintonites as well. What happened to the change?

The surprise selection of Panetta, a former California congressman and chief of staff to President Clinton, would give Obama a CIA director with loyalty to the White House and an experienced managerial hand to steer the administration away from potential intelligence scandals.

But it runs the risk of putting an outsider at the helm of the CIA just as it seems to be regaining its footing after years of criticism over intelligence failures leading up to the Sept. 11 attacks and the Iraq war, and for aggressive interrogation tactics used in their aftermath.

If confirmed by the Senate, Panetta would be among the few directors in agency history with no experience at one of the nation’s spy services.
