Richmond Judge places Gag order in the Taylor Behl case

According to The Richmond Times Dispatch, the judge presiding over a grand jury hearing evidence in Taylor Marie Behl’s death has signed a gag order prohibiting witnesses who appear before it from publicly discussing their testimony.

Yesterday, the attorney for Janet Pelasara, Behl’s mother, said Pelasara would legally contest any attempt to extend a gag order in the case to apply to her. Pelasara has not been called before the grand jury. But the order is a clear indication of the level of frustration that has developed over leaks of investigative information in the case.

On her 18th birthday Taylor Behl’s family has the sad task of having a viewing for their daughter. Words cannot even begin to describe the grief that Taylor’s family must be experiencing. Taylor, God Bless.

VIENNA, Va. (AP) – Virginia Commonwealth University freshman Taylor Behl would have turned 18 Thursday, but instead of birthday cake and presents her family is planning to lay her to rest.
A viewing will take place Thursday and her funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Church of the Holy Comforter. Both events will be in her hometown of Vienna, but they’re not open to the public.

Family, friends and well-wishers can gather at the Money & King Funeral Home, 171 Maple Avenue West in Vienna from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 9 p.m.
