We Don’t Need More Gun Laws, We Need to Follow the Ones We Have: Air Force ‘Error’ Allowed Gunman to Buy Weapons That Were Used in Texas Church Shooting that Killed 26 People … The Air Force has Launched a Review

AIR FORCE ADMITS MAJOR SCREW UP … WE DON’T NEED MORE LAWS, WE NEED MORE DETAIL AND ATTENTION TO THE ONE’S WE HAVE.

Just a day after a gunman shot and killed 26 people and wounded more than 20 others at the First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs, Texas, the Air Force has admitted they they made an error. You might call it a fatal error. The Air Force failed to enter Devin P. Kelley’s domestic violence court-martial into a federal database that could have blocked him from buying the guns used in Sunday’s church massacre. Are you kidding me!!! From the sounds of the video below, the Air Force needs to change their rules, not just review them. Sorry, receiving a court martial due to domestic violence on your spouse and child should void you of ever owning a gun. PERIOD!

A day after a gunman massacred parishioners in a small Texas church, the Air Force admitted on Monday that it had failed to enter the man’s domestic violence court-martial into a federal database that could have blocked him from buying the rifle he used to kill 26 people.

Under federal law, the conviction of the gunman, Devin P. Kelley, for domestic assault on his wife and toddler stepson — he had cracked the child’s skull — should have stopped Mr. Kelley from legally purchasing the military-style rifle and three other guns he acquired in the last four years.

How in the hell do you screw this up? The Air Force has begun a review if how the criminal records of former Airman Devin P. Kelley following his 2012 domestic violence conviction. REALLY? As opined at Red Stated, the Air Force better being doing a lot more than that. According to Air Force spokeswoman Ann Stefanek, Federal law prohibited him from buying or possessing firearms after this conviction. Initial information indicates that Kelley’s domestic violence offense was not entered into the National Criminal Information Center database by the Holloman Air Force Base Office of Special Investigations.

“The Air Force has launched a review of how the service handled the criminal records of former Airman Devin P. Kelley following his 2012 domestic violence conviction,” the Air Force said in a statement.

The statement said Heather Wilson, the Air Force secretary, and Gen. David Goldfein, the Air Force chief of staff, had ordered the Air Force inspector general to “conduct a complete review of the Kelley case.”

The Air Force also said it was looking into whether other convictions had been improperly left unreported to the federal database for firearms background checks.

ALL BRANCHES OF THE  MILITARY better be reviewing all the cases of dishonorable discharges and make sure these individuals are in the database. They also need to review all cases of individuals who have been court martialed and tossed out if the military due to domestic assault and received bad conduct discharges. These people are criminals and need to be treated and such. A note to the LEFT, Democrats, liberals and politicians who in mere seconds after this heinous crime called for more gun control, go pound sand. So we are supposed to pass more gun control that would take the weapons out of good people’s hands to defend themselves, while we allow bureaucratic BS paperwork mistakes to allow a sick bastard like Devin P. Kelley to attain them. REALLY?

Devin Patrick Kelley has been identified as the gunman who killed at least 26 people at a church Sunday morning in Texas, a U.S. official told The Daily Beast. A week before he committed the worst massacre at a place of worship in American history, Kelley posted a photo of a semiautomatic rifle to Facebook with the caption: “She’s a bad bitch.”

UPDATE III:  Man identified as Texas shooter was court-martialed for assault on his spouse and child.

The man authorities have identified as the shooter in the massacre at a Texas church was given a bad conduct discharge from the Air Force three years ago after being court-martialed for assault, a military spokesperson confirmed Sunday.

Federal law prohibits a person who has been dishonorably discharged from buying a firearm. Whether Kelley’s discharge would trigger the law was not immediately clear.

Devin P. Kelley, who served in logistics readiness at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico starting in 2010, was court-martialed in 2012 for two counts alleging assault on his spouse and assault on their child, Ann Stefanek, the chief of Media Operations for the Air Force, said in a statement.

The 1968 Gun Control Act made it unlawful for a licensed firearms dealer to sell a weapon to a person with a dishonorable discharge or for such a person “to ship or transport in interstate or foreign commerce, or possess in or affecting commerce, any firearm or ammunition; or to receive any firearm or ammunition which has been shipped or transported in interstate or foreign commerce.”

GOP Assasination Gunman ID’d as 66 Year Old James Hodgkinson … Was a Trump Hating Democrat, Volunteered For Sanders Presidential Campaign (Update: Suspect Died at Hospital)

ASSASSIN WAS A FAR-LEFTY, HATED TRUMP, BERNIE SANDERS SUPPORTER …

The gunman who opened fire yesterday in Alexandria, Va on Republican Congressman as they practiced baseball for an upcoming charity even has been identified as 66 year old James T. Hodgkinson from Belleville, Illinois. According to accounts, he was an uber-lib who hated Donald Trump and Republicans. By all accounts, this man snapped. One has to wonder whether it was made worse by the hateful political rhetoric spewed by the MSM and the far-Left. His former lawyer, Lyndon Evanko, described Hodgkinson was “a pushy little bastard” and said “He came across as a very irascible, angry little man, but not somebody I would expect to do something like this.” So what do you think now?

One has to question the out of control, vile and hateful, over the top rhetoric coming from the LEFT. Townhall questions whether this shooting of Republicans: Was the Gunman Influenced by ‘The Resistance’?

The gunman who was killed by cops after opening fire on a Republican congressional baseball practice on Wednesday, the president’s 71st birthday, was a Trump-hating Democrat and Bernie Sanders supporter with a long history of violence.

James T. Hodgkinson, 66, from Belleville, Illinois, was killed by Capitol Police after firing up to 100 rounds from an assault rifle at a baseball park in Alexandria, Virginia, leaving five injured including House Majority Whip Steve Scalise at 7am on Wednesday.

Scalise’s condition worsened throughout the afternoon and was deemed critical by hospital staff after he he was released from emergency surgery on his hip.

Two Capitol Police officers were shot as they bravely returned fire on Hodgkinson while the lawmakers scrambled across the field to safety. Congressional staffer Zachary Barth and lobbyist Matt Mika were also shot but both are expected to recover.

Hodgkinson was a staunch Sanders supporter and campaigned for the left-wing senator to get the Democratic nomination for president last year.

He ranted against President Trump on social media and had previously described The Rachel Maddow Show as his favorite thing on TV.

The married union tradesman threatened to ‘destroy’ the president, whom he called a ‘traitor’ on social media – but was not known to Secret Service.

War on Police … 26 Police Officers Killed To Date in 2016, Up 44% from 2015

WAR ON POLICE BLUE LIVES MATTER.

Ad reported at USA Today, the number of police officers shot and killed in the United States is 44% higher than at this time last year following the Dallas ambush Thursday night that left five officers dead. This is what happens when you have leadership and an administration that blames authority, rather than the suspects for wrong doings. This is what happens when “Black Lives Matters” is glorified as having some kind of point and justification when random acts of excessive police force are made to appear as they are an everyday occurrence and systemic, while black on black crime is completely and willfully ignored.

This is what happens when the MSM, liberals, Democrats and Barack Obama blame a terrorist shooting in Orlando, Florida on the NRA … but are silent and as quiet as church mice when it comes to make the same blame for the rhetoric from “Black Lives Matters”. Sorry folks, you cant have it both ways. Imagine that, liberal hypocrisy.

The sad reality is that there is a War on Police …

USA TODAY:

The number of police officers shot and killed in the USA is 44% higher than at this time last year following the Dallas ambush Thursday night that left five officers dead, according to data from the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.

The deaths of four Dallas police officers and one Dallas transit officer from sniper fire during a protest in the city Thursday raised the national total of firearm deaths among police to 26. This compares with 18 at this point in time in 2015, said Nick Breul, director of research for the fund in Washington, D.C.

Breul said it was also the latest of 11 ambushes of police officers so far this year across the country, already outpacing the eight ambushes of law enforcement that occurred last year.

25 Year Old Army Reservist Micah Xavier Johnson ID’d as Shooter Who Murdered 5 Police Officers at Dallas “Black Lives Matters” Protest … Suspect Elimanated by Bomb Carrying Robot

COP KILLER IDENTIFIEDBLACK MAN STATED HE WANTED TO KILL WHITE PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY WHITE OFFICERS.

25 year old Army Reservist Micah Xavier Johnson has been identified as the individual who murdered 5 police officers Thursday night during the “Black Lives Matter’s” protest in Dallas, Texas. Yes, he was black. The suspect stated that he was upset about Black Lives Matter and that he was upset about the recent police shootings of black suspects. Also, he said he was upset at white people. The suspect, Micah Johnson,  stated to law enforcement prior to his demise, that he wanted to kill white people, especially white officers. Isn’t that special. I guess this sick SOB was not upset about black on black crime. The suspect claims he acted alone, however, three suspect were taken into custody following the shooting. Thankfully, law enforcement put an end to this man’s killings forever, as they blew him up to smithereens with the aid of a bomb carrying robot.

So the suspect wanted to kill white people, so is this a hate crime?

Sorry, a cop killer does not get his face posted, but the device that killed him does.

The man who shot 12 police officers, killing five, at a Black Lives Matter protest in downtown Dallas on Thursday night has been named as Micah Xavier Johnson, a 25-year-old Army reservist with no criminal history or ties to terror groups.

Johnson, from Mesquite, Texas, a 20-minute drive from Dallas, reportedly told law enforcement that he was a veteran, and claimed to have acted alone, countering initial reports that as many as four gunmen were involved in the massacre.

‘The suspect said he was upset about Black Lives Matter. He said he was upset about the recent police shootings of black suspects. He said he was upset at white people. The suspect stated he wanted to kill white people, especially white officers,’ Dallas Police Chief David Brown revealed at a 7.30am press conference.

Cops cornered Johnson at El Centro College at around 11pm on Thursday and attempted to negotiate, but four hours later the talks failed and a robot was brought in to detonate a bomb and kill the suspect. This was after shots had rung out at a previously peaceful protest in downtown Dallas with demonstrators screaming and running for their lives as cops dropped dead one by one.

Johnson wore body armor, which would suggest why a cop was not able to kill him when he confronted him in a one-on-one situation which was caught on camera. It resulted in the cop being executed. He also carried an AR-15 assault rifle and a handgun, and several rounds of ammunition.

During a search of his home, detectives found bomb making materials, ballistic vests, rifles, ammunition and a personal journal of combat tactics.

A black SUV found at the scene of the shootings was listed as registered to Delphene Johnson, also of Mesquite, who is understood to be his mother. Police gathered at the address of Ms Johnson on Friday and were seen searching the property.

The casualties include Dallas police officers Patrick Zamarripa, Michael Krol, Lorne Ahrens and Michael J. Smith, as well as DART Officer Brent Thompson.
