The Wrong Governor is Leaving … Alaska Governor Sarah Palin Resigning from Office

In a shocking move on the slow Friday news cycle before the 4th of July, Governor Sarah Palin is stepping down as Alaska’s chief executive by months end. Palin has stated that she will not seek a second term as Governor in 2010. I echo the words of Jammie Wearing Fool, “Just WOW”!

“People who know me know that besides faith and family, nothing’s more important to me than our beloved Alaska,” Palin said at an announcement from her home in Wasilla. “Serving her people is the greatest honor I could imagine.”

Palin was elected governor in 2006. She was tapped as Arizona Sen. John McCain’s vice presidential running mate last year.

Palin said she was transferring authority to Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell, who will be sworn in at the Governor’s Picnic on July 26.

Is her political career over or is this a bold move to get out of the cross hairs of the media and Democrats to run as the true Conservative, Washington, DC outsider in 2012?

 “We are not retreating, we are advancing in another direction.”

It had been speculated that Sarah Palin would not seek a second term as she had aspirations of a career on the national stage. Let us just hope that this is not a result of the ridiculous attacks from the LEFT and from the jealous McCain staffers. Lt Governor Sean Parnell will take over the reins on July 26 and hopefully give him a leg up in the 2010 elections.

How is it possible that the Missouri mom, Lori Drew, walks away from the cyberbullying and suicide of Megan Meier with no conviction, but with blood on her hands?

Lori Drew, the keyboard coward who was complicit in typing “Megan Meier is a slut” and “Megan Meier is fat ” and “The world would be a better place without you.”

Lori Drew’s intent was to emotionally harass a minor. How did Lori Drew’s actions not constitute, stalking, harassing and endangering the welfare of a minor?

Bizarre: Two Mexican Miget Wrestlers (Luchadores), La Parkita & Espectrito Jr, Killed by Gang Posing Prostitutes in Mexico City

And now for the bizarre story of the day … it consists of drugs, crime, death and Mexico, but its not what you think.

Two professional Mexican midget wrestlers were found dead in a seedy hotel in Mexico City, Mexico. According to authorities, the wrestlers, “La Parkita” and “Espectrito Jr.,” could have been victims of a gang of female robbers who are experienced at using drugs to knock men out and rob them. In this case the two may have been drugged to death.

Autopsies are being performed on the two midget wrestlers, one of whom went by the name “La Parkita” — or “Little Death” [bizarre coincidence] — and wore a skeleton costume in the ring. The other was known as “Espectrito Jr.”

Authorities say two women were seen leaving the men’s hotel room before the bodies were discovered.

The twin brothers, real names Alberto and Alejandro Jimenez, reportedly had been entertaining two prostitutes on the night of their deaths.

Gaffe Prevention: VP Biden’s Witness Protection Program … Sent to Talk to the Not-So Masses by Obama

It appears that President Barack Obama and his handlers have finally found a way to hide VP Biden in a witness protection program away from the media so no more verbal gaffes can be reported. The answer, send Biden to locations to speak where no one shows.

Using the age old adage, If a tree falls in the woods and no one is there, does it make a sound, Obama sent Biden off to rural, rural, town outside of Erie, PA to talk with the common folks about federal stimulus money that can be used to expand broadband access to the Internet for rural areas that typically have poor connections.

It looks like the people did not get the memo as no one showed. It’s like a scene from the movie “Black Sheep” where Chris Farley is sent off to some obscure, rural town to help his bothers campaign to just keep him out of the way. Sounds familiar.

Apparently stimulus money and broadband are not all that interesting to the local folk here: Only around 100 or so people have showed up so far to hear Biden talk at noon at Seneca High School off Route 8 in Wattsburg.

The room looked so sparse that about 30 or so chairs were removed by volunteers to give the illusion of a full house.

The effect didn’t exactly work.

Obama Back Peddling on Taxes … Press Corps Laughing at the Lameness of Gibbs Response & the Process

The honeymoon is over. The press laughs at Press Secretary Gibbs lame attempt to duck their questions. Has the as the Obama House of Spin is starting to unravel. Barack Obama made a campaign promise that he would not tax anyone who makes less that $250. That promise all but got him elected a it was those mean rich people who were going to pay for everything in Obama’s redistribution of wealth program.

Looks like Obama is learning that a campaign promise and a smile does not make a President.

Consumer Confidence Takes Unexpected Slide on Obama’s Watch … Drunken Sailor Spending and Taxes is Economies Undoing

Confidence in Obama dealing with the economy is becoming an issue. Stimulus plan was not only pork, it was a turkey. The honeymoon is over.

Consumer confidence falls unexpectedly in June. Unexpectedly? With all the deficit spending, with all the socialistic government control of banks and the car industry, with all the stimulus money borrowed against our grand children’s future. Should it really be unexpected when even the President’s approval ratings are going down? On top of it all, unemployment continues to rise, even though Obama’s admin said it would not go over 10%.

It is a pretty sad state of affairs when Obama pal, George Soros, says that borrowing costs pose a threat to economic recovery.

The consumer confidence index fell to 49.3 in June from 54.8 in May. Economists polled by Reuters had expected a healthier reading of 55.0 for the month.

Billionaire investor George Soros added to the cautionary tone, saying that rising borrowing costs posed a threat to any eventual economic recovery.

42% of Americans Say “Cap & Trade” Bill will Hurt the Economy … Thanks Obama

A special thanks to Barack Obama and the House Democrats and 8 Turncoat Republicans, taxing people in a recession for a scientific myth. There goes the economy.

42% of Americans believe that the recently passed Democratic tax known as “Cap & Trade” will hurt the US economy according to a recent Rasmussen poll. The 24% who are unsure probably have no idea what “cap & trade” really is or the damage that it will cause. Once they are informed the 42% will go even higher.

Americans have mixed feelings about the historic climate change bill that passed the House on Friday, but 42% say it will hurt the U.S. economy.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that just 19% believe the climate change bill passed by the House on Friday will help the economy. Fifteen percent (15%) say it will have no impact, and 24% are not sure.

The Weekly Standard makes a great point in that once Americans hear that Democrats and elitist liberals call those in opposition and simply stating their opinion as treasonous to the planet, the numbers will grow.

And this gets to the crux of why cap and trade may end up being such a tremendous boon to Republicans. Not only do the American people oppose it by a healthy margin, but they are having it foisted on them by elites who smugly deride their opposition as treason to planet earth.

FYI to the uninformed regarding “Cap and Trade,” according to a study by the Heritage Foundation, the legislation would cost the average family nearly $3,000 per household per year.

Unbelievable: Carol Browner, Energy Czar Questioned as to Whether She Read Cap & Trade Bill … Answer, No!

We prosecute Bernie Madoff for the fraud he perpetrated on unsuspecting investors, yet a government is supposed to go unchecked and allowed to partake in their own fraud on America called “cap & trade”.  They feel any question that actually questions them is not worthy of and answer and mean spirited.

Barack Obama’s Energy Czar, Carol Browner, appeared on Fox & Friend’s yesterday to discuss the “cap & trade” Obama energy tax on all Americans that recently passed the House by a narrow majority. One might assume that the Obama energy czar would have read the bill since after all she is the energy czar. However, you know what happens when you ASS-U-ME!

As reported by Ed Morrissey at Hot Air, after Fox’s Steve Doocy asks Browner whether she has read the entire “cap and Tax” bill, she gets defensive and declares that it is unfair that Doocy blindsided her. Blindsided for asking whether she read the bill that she was discussing? Are you joking? She was asked a simple question as to whether she read the bill and that is supposed to be a gotcha question? Sadly, no one read this bill in the House but saw fit to inflict it upon “WE THE PEOPLE”.

“I’ve read vast portions of it.”

STEVE DOOCY: “[I] know the bill is over 1,000 pages long. Have you have read it?”
CAROL BROWNER: “Oh, I’m very familiar with this bill.”
DOOCY: “Have you have read it?”
BROWNER: “We have obviously been watching this for a very long time. I am very …”
DOOCY: “I’m sure you’ve got an idea of it, but you have read it?”
BROWNER: “I’ve read major portions of it, absolutely.”
DOOCY: “So the answer no you haven’t read it. But you’ve read a big chunk of it.”
BROWNER: “No, no, no that’s not fair. That’s absolutely not fair.”

So let’s get this correct. An Obama mouth piece goes on national TV to shill and spin to the American people that “cap & trade” is not a tax on all American’s and that it will not greatly increase all Americans energy bills, yet energy czar Carol Browner finds it unfair for her to be asked whether she read the damn “pile of sh#t” in the first place?

How privileged does the Obama White House think they are that they do not have to answer to “We the People”?

Priceless: Ahmadinejad accuses Obama of interference in Iran when “The One” has not even lifted a finger in any meaningful manner to help the Iranian protestors. BTW, Obama gets no points for the lack of support to freedom. Just more useless words as Iranians are gunned down in the streets wanting liberty and freedom. Obama, enemies of the United States hate America no matter who the President is.

Remember during the 2008 Presidential campaign when Barack Obama stated that we needed a change in how we dealt with Iran? Obama stated  that he would meet with any foreign dictator who was an enemy of the United States without preconditions. John McCain called such foreign policy dangerous and naive. The Obamamessiah actually believed he could improve relations with Iran just by talking nicely. Guess what, John McCain was correct. Unbelievable.

It was a kindler, gentler and weaker American foreign policy that would make the US the laughing stock of the world and serve no useful purpose. Never was that more evident than with Obama’s “hot dog” foreign policy where even Obama was finally shamed into stopping the slap in the face July 4th Iranian diplomat invitation.

John Edwards & Rielle Hunter: Gov. Sanford, I’ll See Your Argentinian Mistress and Raise you a Sex Tape

As the media fixates in on Governor Sanford’s extramarital affair with his Argentinian mistress, it would appear that former Democratic VP candidate and North Carolina Senator just cannot get out of the headlines with his affair with Rielle Hunter.

Seems that John Edwards is playing a game of Texas “Affair” Holdem with all new comers. Hey Mark Sanford, I’ll see your Argentina babe and raise you a “reille” Sex tape. Eliot Spitzer, the bets to you.  After all, Reille Hunter is good with a camera, isn’t that why she was hired in the first place?

Former Edwards aide Andrew Young says the ex-senator and his former mistress, Rielle Hunter, once made a sex tape, according to someone who has seen Young’s book proposal.

St. Martin’s Press just inked a deal with Young, who also says in his proposal that, contrary to his public statement last year, he is not the father of Hunter’s infant daughter — Edwards is. Edwards has denied that.

Then again, didn’t Edwards deny the affair with Reille Hunter as well? The fact of the matter is, when it comes to a wife being a victim in an affair, Elizabeth Edwards is above and beyond ahead. When your wife has cancer and you continue the affair anyhow, it’s pretty hard to not get scumbag of the decade award.
