U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Miller Dismisses Ridiculous PETA Lawsuit Claiming Sea World Whales Are Slaves

Leave it to PETA to come up with a ridiculous claim that whales at Sea World are slaves … CASE DISMISSED!

A lawsuit brought by PETA claiming that the Orcas at Sea World were slaves and were entitled to protection under the 13 amendment has been dismissed. U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Miller dismissed the case and the latest publicity attempt by PETA stating that  ‘slavery’ and ‘involuntary servitude’ are uniquely human activities, and should not be applied to non-humans. PETA billed it as a landmark case, the rest of us just refer to it as dismissed.

A federal judge in San Diego dismissed an unprecedented lawsuit seeking to grant constitutional protection against slavery to a group of orcas that perform at SeaWorld parks, saying the 13th amendment applies only to humans.

U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Miller stopped the case from proceeding two days after he became the first judge in U.S. history to listen to arguments in court over the possibility of granting constitutional rights for members of an animal species.

“As ‘slavery’ and ‘involuntary servitude’ are uniquely human activities, as those terms have been historically and contemporaneously applied, there is simply no basis to construe the Thirteenth Amendment as applying to non-humans,” Miller wrote in his ruling.

Obama Green Energy Failure: Fisker Automotive Received More than Half-Billion Dollars in Federal Loans … Laying off Workers at their Delaware & California Plants

Another Barack Obama “green” energy failure …

Fisker Automotive, a California based electric car start up company that received $529 million in loans to produce two lines of plug-in hybrid cars, is laying off workers in Delaware and California. Wow, who could have predicted that this would have been a waste of tax payer money? After all, as the Lonely Conservative reminds us the electric car goes for such a paltry cost of $100,000.

Delaware’s News Journal reports that Fisker Automotive, a California-based electric car start-up company, is laying off an undisclosed number of staff to try to reserve enough capital in order to qualify for more federal help from the Department of Energy, according to a Delaware state development official.

“They’re trying to preserve the cash that they have,” said Alan Levin told the News Journal. “And unfortunately, until they meet the milestone that DOE continues to set … they’re not able to access the additional capital that they need.”

The company also came under fire last year for taking federal loans while producing cars in Finland. Company officials told ABC News at the time that “there was no contract manufacturer in the U.S. that could actually produce our vehicle.” The company was working on reopening a shuttered General Motors plant in Wilmington to produce vehicles — an effort that top Obama administration officials lauded.

So lets get this correct. Obama’s answer to US jobs and the economy is wasteful spending to “green” companies like Solydra and Fisker … but The One says no to the  Keystone XL pipeline. We all know that Obama’s funding of these companies had nothing to do with jobs and everything to do with politics. Obama must go in 2012.

The FBI warned Monday that anti-government extremists opposed to taxes and regulations pose a growing threat to local law enforcement officers in the United States. Hmm, just who are they pointing at? It sounds an awful lot like the Tea Party doesn’t it?

Anti-government extremists opposed to taxes and regulations pose a growing threat to local law enforcement officers in the United States, the FBI warned on Monday.

These extremists, sometimes known as “sovereign citizens,” believe they can live outside any type of government authority, FBI agents said at a news conference.

The extremists may refuse to pay taxes, defy government environmental regulations and believe the United States went bankrupt by going off the gold standard.

Routine encounters with police can turn violent “at the drop of a hat,” said Stuart McArthur, deputy assistant director in the FBI’s counterterrorism division.

Barack Obama Plays Politics at National Prayer Breakfast … Justifies His Taxing the Rich Because that is What Jesus Would Do

WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO OBAMA’S SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE?

Dear Barack Obama, there is only one Messiah, please do not believe your press clippings that you are the Obamamessiah. Trust me, you are hardly the “One” we have been waiting for.

Yesterday at the National Prayer Breakfast, President Barack Obama decided to make the event what all his events are … political. The One took the opportunity to justify his taxes on the rich because that is what Jesus would tax the rich. Really Mr. President. Just curious, what ever happened to separation of Church and State? Oh that’s right, you only use that when its convenient for you. What a shock that Obama would do the unthinkable and use a religious event for his partisan policies.

The rich should pay more not only because “I actually think that is going to make economic sense, but for me as a Christian, it also coincides with Jesus’s teaching that ‘for unto whom much is given, much shall be required,’” Obama said at the Washington Hilton, delivering remarks at an annual event that every president has attended since Dwight D. Eisenhower.

“We can all benefit from turning to our Creator, listening to him,” Obama said. “Avoiding phony religiosity. … This is especially important right now when we’re facing some big challenges as a nation.”

Obama infused his remarks on spirituality with a populist message of economic fairness, echoing rhetoric he unveiled in December in Osawatomie, Kan., and returned to in his State of the Union address last week. Without countering his Republican presidential opponents head on, Obama offered a contrast to Mitt Romney’s positions on class and wealth.

The Lonely Conservative has the VIDEO so no one can spin that he either did not say it, or that it was not meant to be political.

What else would we expect from a man who learned Christianity at a church whose pastor would rant, “God damn America”. Or as the Gateway Pundit says, “Barack Obama is his Bother’s keeper, except for his own brother George.” A President who at every chance attacks religion, now cloaks himself in it to justify taxing the rich. Really Barack, is that all you got out of the Bible?

Barack Obama talks about everyone else having to pay taxes, yet when it comes  to giving of himself with charitable contributions, its a joke.  Why all of a sudden has Obama tried to evoke religion into the political discourse? Interestingly enough, no where during his speech at the National Prayer Breakfast did he refer to any Christians he wanted to tax as clinging to their Bibles. Go figure.

As the Bible teaches us, beware of false prophets. The tax comments are shallow words coming from a man who is the most polarizing President ever!  What would Jesus say about that.

WOW … GM, Obama’s Government Motors Sells Just 603 Volts in January 2012

GM, Government Motors sold just 603 GM Volts in January. Are you serious? The pathetic 603 sales as caused GM to abandoned its sales target of 45,000 for 2012. YA THINK!!! GM might also want to fire the idiot who ever thought that 45K was even a viable target. As it is, GM only sold about 7,700 in 2011, far below it’s  target of 10,000. What else would we expect from an Obama bailed out “green” car program?

General Motors extended-range electric Chevrolet Volt had its worst sales month since August, as negative publicity over fire risks hurt vehicles sales in January.

GM sold just 603 Volts – above its sales in January 2011, but far below GM’s best-ever sales month in December, when GM sold 1,529 Volts.

Last week, GM North America President Mark Reuss said sales of the Volt have been hurt by bad publicity.
Reuss said bad publicity from the government’s investigation into fire risks of post-crash Volts is “definitely a component” of the decline in sales.

Bad PR? Seriously? That tends to happen when cars catch on fire and you recall them. Let’s face it, there is no demand for this pricey car.

RNC Chief Reince Priebus Continues to Compare Barack Obama to Disgraced Costa Concordia Cruise Ship Capt. Schettino

RNC Chairman Reince Priebus does not back down from his comments comparing President Barack Obama to the disgraced Costa Concordia cruise ship Captain Schettino. The analogy is that Obama left his job that he was elected to fix the economy to do nothing but campaign for 2012. Schettino was more concerned with saving himself than he was other passengers and going down with ship. Barack Obama is more concerned with reelection than he is creating jobs.

“When I made those comments, I clearly used the analogy in both sentences that this president was akin to leaving his own job and campaigning non-stop all the time, worried about his job, number one, instead the jobs of the millions of Americans that are out there,” Priebus said. “Now we’ve talked about the fact that this president is in love with campaigning, he’s not in love with his job as president and getting the debt under control as promised and getting Americans back to work.”

Pressed about whether the analogy was appropriate considering the maritime crash killed at least 16 people — with more than a dozen still missing — Priebus stood by the comments.

“The analogy was made and it was an analogy of leadership, that in a time of crisis, this president is leaving the White House and campaigning non-stop all the time,” Priebus said. “I think it’s pretty clear, but if people out there on the Democratic side want to make hay of it they’re going to be able to do it.

Hot Air reminds us that before DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz whines about the RNC Chair’s comments, she might have some apologizing to do first as when it comes to incendiary comments regarding the Tea Party. Debbie is all in a huff about a comparison to a ship captain who has been charges with manslaughter, I guess she forgot when the Democrats accused W of murder. Hmm?

In the end, its all nonsense … Obama needs to be fired for dereliction of duty. Any President who nixes a job creator like the Keystone XL pipeline for political reasons in a time of such economic despair, needs to be ushed out the door sooner, rather than later.

Barack Obama’s State of the Union Speech Registers an 8th Grade Reading Level on the Flesch-Kincaid Test … 3rd Lowest SOTU Score Since 1934

Barack Obama has been touted as the smartest President ever. So then why was his 2012 State of the Union speech register an 8th grade reading level on the  Flesch-Kincaid readability test? Obama’s 2012 SOTU was the third lowest score since 1934. Obama’s SOTU average grade score of his three speeches is at an amazing 8.4, as compared to the 10.7 average if the previous 67 State of the Union addresses by twelve Presidents.  Coincidence, I think not.

The University of Minnesota’s Smart Politics conducted an analysis on the last 70 State of the Union addresses and found that President Obama’s three addresses have the lowest grade average of any modern president. “Obama’s average grade-level score of 8.4 is more than two grades lower than the 10.7 grade average for the other 67 addresses written by his 12 predecessors,” they conclude.

“The Flesch-Kincaid test is designed to assess the readability level of written text, with a formula that translates the score to a U.S. grade level. Longer sentences and sentences utilizing words with more syllables produce higher scores. Shorter sentences and sentences incorporating more monosyllabic words yield lower scores,” the University of Minnesota’s Eric Ostermeier explains.

Obama’s use of simple language  is in part a reflection of his audience: the American voter in an election year.

Is this the continued dumbing down of America. Kinda. However, it is telling to who Barack Obama is targeting his speech to. It has to be intentional to make a speech that much more simple than previous Presidents. 2.3 grade levels!!!

Is it any wonder why then that a President that would lower the reading level of a SOTU by so much would also play class warfare. Does anyone think that the targeted Obama speech listener actually takes the time to read and fact check what Obama says, or are they just blindly believing what The One says. I think we know the answer.

Just a note to Conservatives, the Tea Party and Republicans, don’t let any Liberal or Dem tell you that you are stupid. Not when Obama is having speeches targeted to an 8th grade reading level.

Hercules Family Battles Sex Assault Claim Against 6-Year-Old

An East Bay dad claims a game of tag on the playground resulted in his 6-year-old son being accused of sexual assault – a decision he said was an overreaction by school officials.

The parent, who asked only to be identified as Oswin, said his son was accused of brushing his best friend’s leg or groin while the two were playing on the playground at Lupine Hills Elementary in Hercules two months ago.

Oswin said his child was kept in the principal’s office for two hours until he confessed. He was suspended, and a sexual battery charge was placed on his permanent school record.

LIAR & The Friday Night Document Dump: AG Eric Holder Knew About Fast & Furious the Day Border Agent Brian Terry Was Murdered

Once again the DOJ had a Friday night document dump. You know what that means, more docs they don’t want anyone to report on.  However, that did not stop the Daily Caller. A document released this weekend shows that Eric Holder was notified of Fast and Furious the day Border Patrol agent Brian Terry was murdered in Arizona.

Attorney General Eric Holder’s Department of Justice dumped documents related to Operation Fast and Furious on congressional officials late Friday night. Central to this document dump is a series of emails showing Holder was informed of slain Border Patrol agent Brian Terry’s murder on the day it happened – December 15, 2010.

An email from one official, whose name has been redacted from the document, to now-former Arizona U.S. Attorney Dennis Burke reads: “On December 14, 2010, a BORTAC agent working in the Nogales, AZ AOR was shot. The agent was conducting Border Patrol operations 18 miles north of the international boundary when he encountered [redacted word] unidentified subjects. Shots were exchanged resulting in the agent being shot. At this time, the agent is being transported to an area where he can be air lifted to an emergency medical center.”

That email was sent at 2:31 a.m. on the day Terry was shot. One hour later, a follow-up email read: “Our agent has passed away.”

So how does 5 months turn into a couple of weeks? It does when it comes to the Barack Obama administration. Remember back on May 3, 2011 Attorney General Eric Holder testified under oath before a Congressional committee that he first heard of Fast and Furious in the last few weeks. Can we say liar? Can we say perjury?

As stated at Big Government, Fast and Furious just took a new turn. It is time for Eric Holder to resign. If his actions with the Black Panther party and the voter intimidation case was not bad enough, it is becoming quite obvious that Holder knew about Fast and Furious and he lied. Time to say goodbye.
