North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory Calls out National Guard as Charlotte Police Shooting Protests Turn into Riots for Second Night

The North Carolina Governor has called out the National Guard and declared a sate of emergency in Charlotte as for a second night their were protests, riots and looting in response to the police shooting of Keith Lamont Scott. The National Guard is to assist the police in maintaining order which seems to have gotten completely out of control. Exactly how is looting, destroying property and harming others a manner of protesting an individual shot by a police officer? That is a riot, not a protest.

Protests turned violent for a second night in Charlotte after Tuesday’s fatal police shooting of a black man. Late Wednesday, Gov. Pat McCrory declared a state of emergency for the city and deployed the National Guard and State Highway Patrol troopers to assist local police.

One person was shot at the protest and was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, Medic said. The city initially reported that he died, but later retracted that, saying he was on life-support.

Medic said on Twitter that it was treating the patient for a gunshot wound en route to Carolinas Medical Center at about 8:45 p.m.

The person was shot in the area of North College and East Trade streets.

Medic said it was responding to “multiple incidents uptown related to the situation in the College Street area” but was no more specific.

The shooting was “civilian on civilian,” the city tweeted. “@CMPD did not fire shot.”

“The state has many additional assets nearby to assist,” McCrory said. “Any violence directed toward our citizens or police officers or destruction of property should not be tolerated.”

Bernie Sanders Fans Make Their Voices Heard on DNC Floor with Establishment (VIDEO)

More discontent by the Bernie Sanders folks at the Democrat National Committee today amidst the DNC email scandal. The Democrats have already lost control of the event.

Bernie Sanders Supporters Chant ‘Hell No, DNC, We Won’t Vote For Hillary’ Outside of Democratic National Convention (VIDEO)

BERNIE SANDERS SUPPORTERS LOATH HILLARY CLINTON

In the wake of the DNC email scandal and ahead of the start of the DNC, Bernie Sanders supporters chanted, ‘Hell No, DNC, We Won’t Vote For Hillary’. Bernie Sanders may endorse Hillary Clinton and beg his supporters to vote for Hillary; however, that possibility seems hardly likely. Sanders’ supporters know they were screwed, even if Sanders wants to goose step to Hillary’s beat.

Thousands of demonstrators took to Philadelphia’s sweltering streets Sunday, cheering, chanting and beating drums in the first major protests ahead of the Democratic National Convention, as the city wilted during a heat wave.

Throngs of Bernie Sanders supporters marched down a main thoroughfare to show their support of him and disdain for Hillary Clinton ahead of the convention.

Chanting “Hell No, DNC, we won’t vote for Hillary” and “This is what democracy looks like,” the marchers headed from City Hall down Broad Street, the main north-south artery that leads from the city center to the convention site about 4 miles away.

Bernie Sanders Booed by Sanders’ Supporters as He Urges That They Vote for Hillary Clinton (VIDEO)

BERNIE FEELS THE “BERN” FROM HIS OWN SUPPORTERS …

Today Bernie Sanders learned the difference between an election and a movement. Sanders was booed by his own delegates and supporters as he urged the voters to vote for Hillary Clinton. The crowd wanted no part of it. Sanders supporters are pissed and feel that they had the nomination robbed from them. Guess what, they did. For months Sanders had stated that the system was rigged. Thanks to Wikileaks and the leaked DNC emails, that is exactly what happened. Now that the truth is out, Sanders supporters want their pound of flesh and want no part about hearing they should vote for Hillary. This is what a political movement looks like, its not a BS campaign where one bows down and admits defeat, especially when they probably should never have lost.

Supporters of Sen. Bernie Sanders booed and jeered when as the Vermont lawmaker and former presidential contender told them, “We must elect Hillary Clinton.”

Appearing for the first time this week in Philadelphia, where the Democratic National Convention kicked off this afternoon, Sanders tried to control the room and his fans.

“Brothers and sisters, this is the real world that we live in,” he said. “[Donald] Trump is a bully and a demagogue. Trump, Trump has made bigotry and hatred the cornerstone of his campaign.”

But the crowd, in the last sign of the party struggling for any sense of unity, chanted, “We want Bernie!”

Violent Protests Rage outside Trump Rally in Orange County, CA; 17 People Arrested

The LA Times reports that protesters took to the streets outside of a Donald Trump rally in Orange, California. The crowd gathered in the streets outside the OC Fair & Event Center as Trump addressed several thousand supporters at the Center’s amphitheater. As Trump fired up the crowd inside, the crowd outside formed into nothing more than a mob. Freedom of speech is one thing, outright chaos, crime and violence is unacceptable. Many were arrested during the protests by police.

Hundreds of demonstrators filled the street outside the Orange County amphitheater where Donald Trump held a rally Thursday night, stomping on cars, hurling rocks at motorists and forcefully declaring their opposition to the Republican presidential candidate.

Traffic came to a halt as a boisterous crowd walked in the roadway, some waving American and Mexican flags. Protesters smashed a window on at least one police cruiser, punctured the tires of a police sport utility vehicle, and at one point tried to flip a police car.

“Dump the Trump,” said one sign. Another protester scrawled anti-Trump messages onto Costa Mesa police cruisers.

“I’m protesting because I want equal rights for everybody, and I want peaceful protest,” said 19-year-old Daniel Lujan, one of hundreds in a crowd that appeared to be mostly Latinos in their late teens and 20s.

“I knew this was going to happen,” Lujan added. “It was going to be a riot. He deserves what he gets.”
Video footage showed some anti-Trump demonstrators hurling debris at a passing pickup. One group of protesters carried benches and blocked the entrance to the 55 Freeway along Newport Boulevard, with some tossing rocks at motorists near the on-ramp.
