If you bet that Lindsay Lohan would screw up her probation from the last time she was in front of a judge … you are a winner. Lohan cuffed and lead out of court …
Problem child Lindsay Lohan finds herself on the wrong side of the law once again. This time Lohan’s probation was revoked by Los Angeles County Judge Stephanie Sautner. An angry judge read Lindsay Lohan the riot act for failing to preform community service, a stipulation of her probation, and taking sentence seriously. Judge Sautner stated that Lohan’s sentence of probation for a charge of theft was a gift. It would seem that the gifts might have run out for Miss Lohan.
An angry Los Angeles judge on Wednesday revoked the probation for Lindsay Lohan because she failed to perform community service, and admonished the troubled actress for failing to treat her sentence seriously.
At a progress hearing for Lohan, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner called her previous ruling of probation on a theft charge a “gift” and told Lohan, “there’s something called looking a gift horse in the mouth.”
Lindsay Lohan was led from the courtroom in handcuffs, then later posted a $100,000 bail and was allowed to go home. Lohan’s next court appearance will be on November 2, 2011 where it will be argued whether Lohan did, in fact, violate her probation. If it is determined that she did … Lohan could be headed back to the pokey.
Maybe this will finally teach her a lesson …
Actress Lindsay Lohan has been sentenced to jail for 120 days by Judge Stephanie Sautner for violating her her probation. According to TMZ, Lohan was also ordered ordered to complete 480 hours of community service, 360 of those hours must be performed at the Downtown Women’s Center. Will this finally teach Lohan a life lesson or will this out of control Hollywood actress continue to spiral out of control?
Lohan was also ordered to complete 480 hours of community service — 360 of those hours must be performed at the Downtown Women’s Center, so Lindsay can see how needy women have to live. The remaining 120 hours will be served at the L.A. County morgue.
Judge Sautner explained that Lindsay should have called the store and notified the owners about the necklace sooner. She waited several weeks and returned the necklace after finding out the cops were about to raid her house.
Judge Sautner also ruled that the necklace theft case against Lohan will go forward to trial; however, the felony charge was reduced to a misdemeanor. Even though the charge was reduced to a misdemeanor, the troubled actress could face up to a year in prison if convicted. Lohan was taken into custody following today’s court hearing in her necklace theft case. She is expected to post a $75,000 bond and be freed. Her court date is set for June 3, 2011. Will this finally be a wake up call for Lindsay Lohan?
Before delivering the good news to Lohan about the reduction of the charge, the judge addressed her much-publicized misbehavior.
“She thumbs her nose at the court,” Sautner said, referring to an incident with another judge last year. “She walks into court with ‘F U’ on her fingernails. I don’t know what that means unless it has ‘I am’ before it.”
Once again actress Lindsay Lohan finds herself in a world of trouble. Lohan is due in court to face grand theft criminal charges in the theft of a $2500 necklace from a jewelry store. Lohan is denying the charges. The obvious bet at this point is what are the odds that Lohan will wind up in the “big house” as opposed to the big screen first. It would appear from the actions of the troubled actress that its an even money bet.
Lindsay Lohan is due in court to face a new judge, and a new criminal charge, that could return the troubled starlet to jail rather than the big screen.
The “Mean Girls” star is due to be arraigned Wednesday afternoon on a felony grand theft charge that prosecutors say they will file over a $2,500 necklace reported stolen by an upscale jewelry store.
The charge is the latest – and most serious – legal problem for the actress, who remains on probation for a 2007 drunken driving case.
Police and prosecutors allege Lohan, 24, took the necklace from a store in the beachside community of Venice on Jan. 22, weeks after she was released from a rehab facility where she was also accused of misconduct.
How much more trouble can one person continually get in to? It’s obvious that this girl is spiralling out of control. How will it end? Sadly, we have seen this story play out over the years and it’s never a happy movie ending.
UPDATE I: Lohan Accused of Stealing Mink, Rolex in Past, Freed on $40,000 bail.
Lindsay Lohan is free on $40,000 bail after pleading not guilty to felony grand theft charges involving a one-of-a-kind necklace whose owner puts its value at $2,500.
And, reports CBS News correspondent Bill Whitaker, this isn’t the first time the troubled actress has been accused of stealing a valuable item.
As reported at TMZ …
Lindsay Lohan cannot seem to keep herself out of trouble. This time she is a suspect in a battery case while she was at the Betty Ford Clinic. Are you serious? She can’t even behave herself while in rehab! It is reported that ”the victim desired prosecution.” When will this girl ever learn?
Lindsay Lohan is a suspect in a criminal battery investigation and the alleged victim — a staff member at Betty Ford — wants Lindsay prosecuted … this according to law enforcement sources.
The Palm Desert Police Department is now investigating an altercation that occurred after Lindsay and her roommates reportedly went to a bar and came back home. Upon arriving at the house, the incident with a female staffer from Betty Ford allegedly went down.
The police received a call at 1:03 AM on December 12 for “hand-to-hand battery.”
From Newsday comes the following:
There, as the site claimed Lohan told friends afterward, a female staff member “unfairly” scolded her, demanded she take a drug/alcohol test and, during a heated exchanged, put her hands on the starlet. Lohan, said TMZ, told the woman “Take your hands off of me” and then “pushed back.”
Just a couple of weeks from completing her court appointed rehab,Lohan now finds herself being investigated by police after allegedly assaulting a female employee at the clinic. So how will this affect the terms of Lohan’s DUI probation?
I guess this would defeat the purpose of being in rehab.
An employee of the clinic went public Tuesday with claims the actress was “out of control” and had alcohol on her breath during a tussle between them on Dec. 12.
TMZ is reporting that bad girl Lindsay Lohan is in trouble again and might have failed a court mandated drug test. As per the terms of Lindsay’s probation, she will get 30 days in jail for a positive drug test. What will that translate to the special treatment of a celebrity, 3 days?
Remember Lindsay before drugs and alcohol … where is that girl these days?
One source connected with Lindsay tells TMZ … “People with addiction problems don’t get better magically, and she’s really been making an effort to make herself better.”
And D.A. spokesperson Sandi Gibbons tells TMZ her office has not been “officially notified” of the test results and no court date has been set yet.
However, other sources are saying that she did not fail a drug test. TZM is standing behind their sources. My bet is with TMZ.
UPDATE I: TMZ was right … Lohan admits failing drug test and faces more jail time.
Where else would we learn the truth of whether Lindsay Lohan failed her court mandated drug test or not? Why of course twitter of course. Lindsay Lohan tweeted the following, “but also that I am a work in progress, just as anyone else. I am keeping my faith, and I am hopeful….Thank you all!!!” Actually Lindsay, these days you are just a piece of work. When appearing before the judge this time, I wonder what Miss Lohan will have painted on her finger nails?
“Regrettably, I did in fact fail my most recent drug test and if I am asked, I am prepared to appear before Judge Fox next week as a result.
“I am so thankful for the support of my fans, loved ones and immediate family, who understand that i am trying hard,” she tweeted. “but also that I am a work in progress, just as anyone else. I am keeping my faith, and I am hopeful….Thank you all!!!”
