Obama’s Hope & Change … US National Debt Hits Record High over $12 Trillion … Typical Tax & Spend Liberal

CHANGE YOU CAN BELIEVE IN … The US National Debt topped the $12 trillion mark yesterday. That’s 12 trillion with a “T”. It is another record high for the debt and another crowning jewel for Obamanomics.

This latest milestone in the ever-rising journey of the National Debt comes less than eight months after it hit $11 trillion for the first time. The latest high-point is not unexpected, considering the federal deficit for the just-ended 2009 fiscal year hit an all-time high at $1.42-trillion – more than triple the previous year’s record high.

Much of the increase in the deficit and debt is attributed to government spending outpacing revenue – both exacerbated by the recession and the government response to it – including hundreds of billions in bailouts and stimulus spending and tax cuts along with decreased tax revenues due to rising unemployment.

How is that “Hope & Change” looking now America? US National debt now at a record high over $12 trillion … that’s $38,974.34 for every man, woman and child in America.

After all his promises, after all his teleprompter speeches, after all his talk of change, Barack Hussein Obama is nothing more that a super-sized tax and spend liberal. Make that socialist.

So Much for Obama’s Promise about No Taxes on the Middle Class, Pelosi Says Put Value Added Tax in the Table

How will Democrats pay for their agenda … TAX, TAX, TAX!

Remember when President Barack Obama ran on during the 2008 election and has continually said that there would be no taxes on the middle class? Remember when Obama said that only people who make more than $250 will have taxes increases? We were warned.

Appearing on The Charlie Rose Show, Nancy Pelosi was asked, “Does a value added tax have any appeal to you?”

Pelosi, appearing on PBS’s “The Charlie Rose Show” asserted that “it’s fair to look at” the VAT as part of an overhaul of the nation’s tax code.

“I would say, Put everything on the table and subject it to the scrutiny that it deserves,” Pelosi told Rose when asked if the VAT has any appeal to her.

Folks, a value added tax (VAT) is a national sales tax on all goods made to be paid by everyone. Not just those who make over $250K. It would mean on top of all the other income taxes and state sales tax would come a national sales tax. This is how Democrats look to pay for their liberal agenda. Notice Pelosi did not say no when asked. How else did anyone think that a European type socialist programs were going to be paid for but by European type taxes?

In a recent Rasmussen poll, 67% of American voters say no to a National Sales Tax or the value added tax that Nancy Pelosi was referring to.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi floated the idea of a national sales tax in a recent television interview, but a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that 67% oppose a national sales tax on all goods and services.

Twenty percent (20%) favor such a tax, while 13% are undecided.

The Tax Payers March on Washington … we are tired and we are not going to take it any more. If any of you have watched TV coverage of the 9–12 Tea Party in Washington, DC, can I just say wow! God bless the folks that showed up to voice their opinion. They comer from all across America … hey Pelosi and the Dems, still think this is astroturf?

It appears that 100’s of thousands may have ascended upon Washington, DC.

BTW, President Obama escaped to Minnesota. What’s the matter Mr. President, sis you not want to witness the shock and awe of the Tea Party go’ers? Just like the many coward Democrat politicians that were too scared to have town hall meetings to face their constituents, Barack Obama hightailed it out of town so not to witness the beauty of Democracy in action.

More Poll Trending: CBS News Poll Has Obama Down 6 Points Since June 2009 … 50% not to Far Off

DOWN, DOWN, DOWN …

No matter what poll you look at, Obama’s approval rating is going down fast. A recent CBS News Poll shows that President Barack Obama’s approval rating has gone down 6 points in the past month. Is it any wonder that “The One’s” approval ratings are sinking? With unemployment reaching nearly 10% nationally and the growing skepticism of how Obama is handling the economy. When a pro-Obama poll has him sliding … looks for Obama’s approval ratings to soon be below 50%.

The people do not want to hear excuses that Obama inherited a bad economy. It was already known during the election that the economy needed fixing. Who knew that Obama and his policies would make it worse. Well many did actually. Those that sat on the fence and wanted change probably would like a Mulligan and change their vote if provided the opportunity.

President Obama’s approval rating has fallen six points in the past month, a new CBS News poll finds, amid growing skepticism about his handling of the economy and questions about the impact of the stimulus package.

The president’s current approval rating, which is 57 percent, is still relatively high. But it has fallen 11 points from its peak of 68 percent in April, and has also dropped since last month’s mark of 63 percent. His disapproval rating, meanwhile, has risen from 23 percent in April to 32 percent today.

Change Republicans can Believe In …

Barack Obama always talks of change. It appears that they American voters are starting to make some changes of their own on the key political issues. According to a recent Rasmussen Poll, voters now trust Republicans more than Democrats on 8 out of 10 key political issues. The key to this poll is that for the second month on this issue of the economy, Republicans are trusted by voters more than Obama and the Democrats. This trend does not bode well for Obama or Democrats up for reelection in 2010.

Voters now trust Republicans more than Democrats on eight out of 10 key electoral issues, including, for the second straight month, the top issue of the economy. They’ve also narrowed the gap on the remaining two issues, the traditionally Democratic strong suits of health care and education.

It is only a matter of time when Americans see just how expensive Obama’s healthcare plan is and they realize that single payer nationalized healthcare is nothing more than a government take over of the health insurance industry when that issue slides toward the Republican ledger. If Americans don’t trust government to spend money wisely and trust their economic judgment more than Congress, than why would not Americans feel the same about their own healthcare?

Obamanomics: First Stimulus Plan Didn’t Work, How ‘Bout a Second? House Republicans Release Jobs Ad Video

As Democrats and Obama mull over the possibility of a second useless and wasteful “Stimulus” plan, House Republicans release a video that asks what did the first stimulus bill do for jobs? Could we be headed for “Porkulus II”?

President Barack Obama continues to insist that the stimulus has “done its job.” Really? One might want to ask Obama what was the the job that it was intended to do?

Republicans ask: “Has the Obama-Pelosi-Reid Stimulus Bill done its job?”
Answer: “Well yes, if your goal was to destroy the US economy.”

It is hard to imagine that the Democrats in Congress are actually contemplating a Second Stimulus plan. One, the first pork plan did nothing, second, only a small portion of the money has been allocated and third all we have accomplished is raise the national debt.

Is it any wonder why 60% of voters oppose a second economic stimulus package. 27% of those polled were in favor and 13% were too busy following the Michael Jackson memorial to care enough to understand. One would expect Republicans to be against a second wasteful spending bill; however, what is eye opening is the 66% of Independents and 45% of Democrats against “Porkulus II”.

Eighty-one percent (81%) of Republicans and two-thirds of voters not affiliated with either major political party (66%) are against passage of a second stimulus plan. Democrats are much more evenly divided, but a plurality of those in Barack Obama’s party (45%) like the idea.

Colin Powell suddenly is concerned and realizes that the country has not changed, but his support for Obama’s agenda has. You mean Americans don’t want to pay more taxes? How clueless could one be and what worse advice was every offered? And no, you are not a Republican.

Colin Powell proves to be the voice of reason not to listen to. Talk about your waffling on an important issue. First he supports Barack Obama and taxing Americans stating that Americans want to pay taxes for services, now suddenly, not so much.  Hey Colin, can I have some syrup and butter on those waffles with a side of hash browns! Obama Back Peddling on Taxes … Press Corps Laughing at the Lameness of Gibbs Response & the Process

The honeymoon is over. The press laughs at Press Secretary Gibbs lame attempt to duck their questions. Has the as the Obama House of Spin is starting to unravel. Barack Obama made a campaign promise that he would not tax anyone who makes less that $250. That promise all but got him elected a it was those mean rich people who were going to pay for everything in Obama’s redistribution of wealth program.

Looks like Obama is learning that a campaign promise and a smile does not make a President.

Let me be very clear on the economics of President Obama’s State of the Union speech and his budget.

He is declaring war on investors, entrepreneurs, small businesses, large corporations, and private-equity and venture-capital funds.

That is the meaning of his anti-growth tax-hike proposals, which make absolutely no sense at all — either for this recession or from the standpoint of expanding our economy’s long-run potential to grow.
