Cuban Dictator Fidel Castro Dead at 90

GOOD RIDDANCE …

Cuban dictator Fidel Castro has finally died at the age of 90. The hero to the Left and socialists has passed. Cubans in Miami rejoiced upon hearing of the news of the socialist dictators death and danced in the streets. This is more a symbolic death for the people who have fled Cuba as Fidel Castro stepped down some 10+ years ago. Cuba is still run by a dictator, maybe some day a U.S. President will make a real deal with Cuba that is good for the U.S. and Cuban people. Make no mistake about it, this man mercilessly killed and jailed his political enemies.

On a personal note, having known so many Cuban-Americans who’s parents had fled Castro’s tyranny and some who while trying to have their families escapade where captured and imprisoned, I can only imagine the feelings they are experiencing what they are going through.

 Fidel Castro

CUBAN icon Fidel Castro died peacefully in bed aged 90 yesterday — after surviving 638 assassination bids.

The cigar-smoking revolutionary, who pushed the world to the edge of nuclear war, was damned and feted across the globe.

His enemies were last night toasting the death of a blood-soaked tyrant guilty of murdering hundreds of political opponents and oppressing his impoverished people.

Sen. Marco Rubio (FL-R) discusses the death of Fidel Castro

Castro was born on August 13, 1926, in Cuba. A lifelong Marxist, he trained as a lawyer but was jailed after attacking a barracks with brother Raul and fled to Mexico on release.

He returned alongside legendary guerilla leader Che Guevara and a rebel army to seize power in 1959. He was Prime Minister until 1976, when he became President.

He immediately ordered the executions of 582 opponents, shut independent media and herded gay people into “re-education” camps. Later, HIV-positive citizens were quarantined.

In 1962, he invited Russian nuclear missiles to be based on Cuba, just 90 miles from the hated US.

Memorial Day – 2016: Remembering, Thanking & Honoring Our Military Heroes For Their Service & Sacrifice

REMEMBERING AND HONORING OUR MILITARY HEROES WHO GAVE ALL … BECAUSE FREEDOM IS NEVER FREE AND HONOR IS FOREVER.

memorial_day3

On this Memorial Day 2016, Scared Monkeys sends a special thank you to all of the military men, woman and their families who made the ultimate sacrificed so that We, the United States of America, could remain the home of the free because of the brave. We thank those who gave their lives in the name of liberty and freedom from the bottom of our hearts. We can no longer than them in person, but we can honor their sacrifices to this great Country. Thank you and God Bless you, we shall never forget you your service and sacrifice. Please take time today to remember what this day is truly about and the men and women that we have lost.

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. (John 15:13 – King James Version)

Every year I take a moment and a personal note to honor and say thank you to a man who I miss so much, my uncle Red, who is buried in Arlington National Cemetery. My uncle served in Patton’s 3rd Army where he received the following medals. a silver star. bronze star and multiple purple hearts. He was one of the true humble heroes of WWII and our Greatest generation. God Bless you all.

I can remember like it was yesterday, but in fact it was more than 25 years ago, when I stood in Arlington National Cemetery for the funeral of my Uncle and namesake. I can remember the sound of Taps and the 21 gun salute as tears flowed down my face as I laid to rest my hero. A man that gave so much for his country and for me. A man who was the toughest and most honorable, proud and yet humble man I have ever known. By all accounts he should have died in the Ardennes forest during WWII, but God had other plans. However, in many respects he did lose all as he came home forever changed. My uncle volunteered for WWII at age 18, although, when I review the records he was actually 17. He, like 5 of his brothers, took part in WWII. However, my Uncle Red saw the most action in Patton’s 3rd Army. Much of what he witnessed, he took to his grave as he lost so many Brothers in Arms. When he came home some 4 years later after having defeated the Nazis, his own mom, my grandmother, did not recognize him.

The words of President Ronald Reagan, Arlington National Cemetery, May 31, 1982:

“The United States and the freedom for which it stands, the freedom for which they died, must endure and prosper. Their lives remind us that freedom is not bought cheaply. It has a cost; it imposes a burden. And just as they whom we commemorate were willing to sacrifice, so too must we — in a less final, less heroic way — be willing to give of ourselves.” [...]

“As we honor their memory today, let us pledge that their lives, their sacrifices, their valor shall be justified and remembered for as long as God gives life to this nation. And let us also pledge to do our utmost to carry out what must have been their wish: that no other generation of young men will every have to share their experiences and repeat their sacrifice.”

Thank you to the men and woman who have died to make us free. We can thank you best by honoring your sacrifices to defeat tyranny, socialism, Communism and Nazism by continuing to do so the same today.

Barack Obama … Forget The Difference Between Capitalism And Communism, “Just Decide What Works” (VIDEO)

HOW THE HELL DID THIS GUY EVER GET ELECTED …

Barack Obama says, what the hell, there is no difference between communism and capitalism … just decide what works. Unbelievable, this fool actually does not differentiate between the two. For those of you that actually votes for this clown, you should be ashamed of yourself. For those of you that did not think that Obama was a communist sympathizer … now you know better.

RCP:

PRESIDENT OBAMA: I guess to make a broader point, so often in the past there’s been a sharp division between left and right, between capitalist and communist or socialist. And especially in the Americas, that’s been a big debate, right? Oh, you know, you’re a capitalist Yankee dog, and oh, you know, you’re some crazy communist that’s going to take away everybody’s property. And I mean, those are interesting intellectual arguments, but I think for your generation, you should be practical and just choose from what works. You don’t have to worry about whether it neatly fits into socialist theory or capitalist theory — you should just decide what works.

And I said this to President Castro in Cuba. I said, look, you’ve made great progress in educating young people. Every child in Cuba gets a basic education — that’s a huge improvement from where it was. Medical care — the life expectancy of Cubans is equivalent to the United States, despite it being a very poor country, because they have access to health care. That’s a huge achievement. They should be congratulated. But you drive around Havana and you say this economy is not working. It looks like it did in the 1950s. And so you have to be practical in asking yourself how can you achieve the goals of equality and inclusion, but also recognize that the market system produces a lot of wealth and goods and services. And it also gives individuals freedom because they have initiative.

And so you don’t have to be rigid in saying it’s either this or that, you can say — depending on the problem you’re trying to solve, depending on the social issues that you’re trying to address what works. And I think that what you’ll find is that the most successful societies, the most successful economies are ones that are rooted in a market-based system, but also recognize that a market does not work by itself. It has to have a social and moral and ethical and community basis, and there has to be inclusion. Otherwise it’s not stable.

And it’s up to you — whether you’re in business or in academia or the nonprofit sector, whatever you’re doing — to create new forms that are adapted to the new conditions that we live in today.

Quinnipiac University Poll: Hillary Clinton Now Bearly Ahead of Bernie Sanders & in National Poll, 44% to 42%

HILLARY CLINTON FEELS THE BERN, THE SOCIALIST SANDERS HAS CAUGHT HILLARY IN THE LATEST QUINNIPIAC POLL …

According to the latest national Quinnipiac poll tracking poll, Hillary Clinton and self-proclaimed socialist Bernie Sanders are now in a statistical dead heat. Hillary Clinton garners 44% of the vote, Bernie Sanders 42%, while 11% remains undecided. You can rest assure that of that undecided vote, Hillary will get little to none as she is the most none and recognizable, establishment candidate for the Democrats. This is an amazing set of circumstances as Sanders has erased a 52 point Clinton lead from previous Quinnipiac poll from April 2015. Whats devastating to Clinton is her overall favorable/unfavorable is 39%/56%, while Independents are at 39%/55& and women a surprising 47%/49%. Meanwhile Sanders has a favorable/unfavorable rating of 44%/35% and better numbers with Independents and woman than Hillary.

This Democrat primary was supposed to be a cake walk for Hillary as there was no real alternative for the Democrats stepped up to the plate. Now Hillary Clinton finds herself in a dog fight with a socialist. This is not your grandfather’s or father’s Democrat Party anymore. Hell, this is not even Bill Clinton’s Democrat party.

Democrats Feel the Bern!!!

Bernie Sanders2

Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and former secretary of state Hillary Clinton are running even in a new national poll tracking support for the Democratic presidential race.

Clinton garnered 44% to Sanders’ 42%, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released Friday. A sizeable 11% say they are undecided.

The poll appears to signal a dramatic tightening of the Democratic race following Clinton’s razor-thin victory over Sanders in the Iowa caucuses.

The Quinnipiac poll is one of the first national surveys released since the Iowa results, so it is important to note it could represent statistical noise — trends won’t be clear until more national polling emerges.

National polls conducted before the Iowa caucuses showed the Democratic race tightening, but with Clinton still leading Sanders by double digits. CNN’s own national Poll of Polls from just before Iowa found Clinton at 53%, Sanders at 36% and former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley at 2%.

The real question is not the cat fighting that the MSM, including FOX News, likes to promote on the GOP side between candidates and the irrelevant circus and side show antics that create ratings, the real story is just how unelectable is Hillary Clinton for Democrats and will a Socialist actually win the presidential nomination for the Democrat party. If that does happen, if there are any Reagan or blue color Democrats left in the party, it may be time to change party affiliation.

Simply Amazing … Socialist Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton in a Dead Heat in Democrat Iowa Caucus

NAIL-BITER FOR DEMOCRATS IN IOWA …

In April of 2014 Hillary Clinton had a 58 point lead over Bernie Sanders. But with 91% of the vote in, it is a 50% to 50% race between Clinton and Sanders. UNREAL. What does it tell us about Hillary Clinton and the Democrat party in general. How does a 74 year old, self-proclaimed socialist like Bernie Sanders actually make a race of it against Clinton?

Iowa Caucus DEM

Below is the final tally of the RCP average polling which one cam plainly see that Sanders over-perfomed by 6.1% and Hillary did so by 2.1%.

UPDATE I: Little Separates Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton in Tight Race in Iowa.

The close vote means that Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Sanders are likely to split

Iowa’s share of delegates to the Democratic convention, and Mr. Sanders will be able to argue that the Iowa result was a virtual tie.

The Clinton team was counting on its huge, well-trained army of volunteers, covering all of Iowa’s 1,681 voting precincts, to counter the enormous enthusiasm of voters who jammed into events to hear Mr. Sanders. But his well-financed Iowa organization was able to convert the energy of his crowds into voters on Monday night, as he drew huge numbers of first-time caucusgoers, young people and liberals who responded to his rallying cry against the nation’s “rigged economy.”

The virtual tie between the two candidates instantly raised the stakes for their next face-off, the primary next Tuesday in New Hampshire. Mr. Sanders holds a solid lead in polls there and has the advantage of being from Vermont; candidates from neighboring states have won the state’s primary in recent decades, and Mr. Sanders is admired in the state.
