MySpace Mom Lori Drew (Josh Evans) Indicted For Role in online Hoax of Suicide Death of 13 Year Old Megan Meier

It was the internet MySpace hoax that disgusted the world. The result was the suicide of 13 year old Megan Meier. People cried out for justice and initially there was none. Finally, there appears to be JUSTICE FOR MEGAN.

Justice is served in one of the most sick and pathetic cases of cyberbullying on record. Its bad enough when pre-teens and teens do it, but when an adult does it to a teenager … it defies all logic. Let this be a shot across the bow to future cyberbulliers, prosecutors are breaking new legal ground on the internet. If one thinks they can hide behind their key board and do anything, think again. To “keyboard cowards” every where, there will be consequences to threats made and your actions.

49 year old Lori Drew, or should we say her faux online persona Josh Evans, was indicted in her role that led to the suicide of 13 year old Megan Meier. Its about time! It was an internet MySpace hoax that will most likely change the rules as to personal conduct on the web. Lori Drew created a MySpace account and began chatting with Megan Meier under the false identity of a 16 year old boy, Josh Evans. Lori Drew has been charged with one count of conspiracy and three counts of accessing protected computers without authorization to get information used to inflict emotional distress on the girl.

She was charged with conspiracy and fraudulently gaining access to someone else’s computer.

Megan hanged herself at home in October 2006, allegedly after receiving a dozen or more cruel messages, including one stating the world would be better off without her.

Salvador Hernandez, assistant agent in charge of the Los Angeles FBI office, called the case heart-rending.

“The Internet is a world unto itself. People must know how far they can go before they must stop. They exploited a young girl’s weaknesses,” Hernandez said. “Whether the defendant could have foreseen the results, she’s responsible for her actions.”

 The Feds acted after state authorities said they had no grounds to prosecute the woman, despite national outrage at her behavior. It sadly appeared at one point that no charges would be filed as Missouri prosecutors could find no crimes to charge Lori Drew with. It was simply criminal.

She set up a MySpace profile for the imaginary boy, complete with a picture of a random handsome youth, and then contacted Megan. “Josh Evans” chatted with Megan for about six weeks. He called her “sexi” and offered to take her out on a date.

Megan’s parents said their daughter, who struggled with her weight, was thrilled by the attention from a “hot” boy.

But then “Josh” turned on Megan. Among the last things Megan saw online on Oct. 16, 2006, were postings saying “Megan Meier is a slut” and “Megan Meier is fat.”

Her parents said the last message from “Josh” said, “Everybody hates you. … The world would be a better place without you.”

Megan hanged herself in her bedroom closet. She was about to turn 14.

Obama Wins North Carolina …. Clinton Wins Indiana … On to WVA and Kentucky as Democratic Party Divides

Last might Barack Obama, as expected, won big in North Carolina while Hillary Clinton managed to win a close race in the Indiana primary. It is becoming quite obvious and rather ironic that the Democratic Primaries are looking more like a general election between Democrats and Republicans. Democrats win the inner cities and minorities, while Republicans win the rural and the berbs. Obama is overwhelmingly winning inner cities while Hillary Clinton wins the rest of the rural counties. The end result, Obama wins NC, but could he ever do it in a general election against a candidate like John McCain who has great cross over appeal?

However, one thing is for certain that even though Obama continues to lead in the popular vote and delegates … there is trouble in Democratic Paradise. Exit polls are plainly showing that there is a great division in the Party. As the Gateway Pundit and Michelle Malkin point out, The Reverend Wright issue did play an issue with voters in IN and NC.

However, here is the news story of the night. As the political battle wages on between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, the Democratic Party is seeing a further divide and a split that may be all but impossible to mend. Check out the exit polls that show the divisiveness between Obama and Clinton supporters.

Nearly six in ten Obama supporters in Indiana say they would be dissatisfied if Clinton were the nominee — that’s (I believe) the high percentage of Obama supporters who have ever said that.

In both IN and NC, two thirds of Clinton supporters say they’d be dissatisfied if Obama were the nominee — I believe that’s the highest number recorded for that question, too.

The more that Reverend Jeremiah Wright talks the more people question Barack Obama. Do not believe what some pundits tell you that this is all about Rev. Wright and his 15 minutes of fame. That s only partially correct. It has become obvious to any thinking person that it was impossible for Barack Obama not to have seen or heard the hate spewed from the mouth of Reverend Wright over 20 years. Impossible!!! Does anyone think that Wright is capable of actually being sincere or keeping his mouth shut? Look what he is doing when the whole world is watching. Imagine what he did when no one was? What this does show is that Obama sold his soul to Wright for street cred in the Black community.

By the way Reverend Wright … who the hell do you think you are? Attacks against you are just that … attacks against you and no one else. How dare you try and incite racial divide. However, what should we expect from someone who has consistently spewed hate and racial division. Where is your message of hope to not just blacks, but all people? There is a cottage industry in the US on racial divide and its not just white people who profit. There are many people of color who benefit from racial unrest as well. Where is your message of hope Rev. Wright? As the Bible teaches us, BEWARE OF FALSE PROPHETS!

“This is not an attack on Jeremiah Wright,” the minister said. “It is an attack on the black church.” He positioned himself as a mainstream voice of African American religious traditions. “Why am I speaking out now?” he asked. “If you think I’m going to let you talk about my mama and her religious tradition, and my daddy and his religious tradition and my grandma, you got another thing coming.”

Reverend Wright is turning this event into a lifetime of what he has always wanted, fame. Not God, but fame. All too often in Wright’s speeches the topic has been Wright and that he is a victim. He has been crucified. What is lacking from his sermons? A humbleness to the Almighty. I have never in my life heard a “man of God” speak so long and never hear the words Jesus Christ, God, the Father, the Almighty or the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Why? Because its never been about religion … its been about the Reverend Wright.

Now Wright wants to teach Obama a lesson as to who is in charge. Wright can make Obama and Wright can break him.

Wright suggested that Obama was insincere in distancing himself from his pastor. “He didn’t distance himself,” Wright announced. “He had to distance himself, because he’s a politician, from what the media was saying I had said, which was anti-American.”

Explaining further, Wright said friends had written to him and said, “We both know that if Senator Obama did not say what he said, he would never get elected.” The minister continued: “Politicians say what they say and do what they do based on electability, based on sound bites, based on polls.”

Who has heard of the names and stories of 11 year old Rebecca “Becca” McEvoy and 13 year old Kristen Howard? The sad answer to that question is most likely, not many. The real question is why not!!! Maybe its because the media is too busy covering stories on what rehab Britney Spears or Lindsey Lohan in in. Maybe Paris Hilton has a new video out on the internet. Or maybe for some reason the media wants to more promote the stupidest video of the day on YouTube. As we sit back and hear some of the media discuss, some the most inane news of the day, I have to continually ask myself why have we heard nothing of two little girls who were not victimized once by being molested, but a second time that may be even more heinous.

Who is Becca McEvoy? Becca was an 11 year old girl with her whole life ahead of her. She had all the hopes, promise and dreams of an 11 year old. Becca was a precious little girl with a dazzling smile, who would light up a room.

MOBILE, Ala.) March 12 — Becca McEvoy’s personality spills out of pictures, photos taken of her before a terrible accident.

She was goofy, pouty, and her cousin, Theresa Jordan says, Becca’s smile was dazzling. “Her little smile, she’d just come in the room and light up the room.”

Family members wanted Becca’s face to be shown in the attached video of this news report because she doesn’t have a voice… not anymore.

Unfortunately that would not come to pass as we read from her obituary that Rebecca Lynn “Becca” McEvoy, a student at First Baptist North Mobile School, died Monday in an area hospital.

Becca had a story and a secret to tell. That story lead to the investigation into rape charges against Bob Ingle, a former Chickasaw police officer and stepfather of Becca McEvoy. At the time, a 10 year old Becca mustered the courage to tell doctors and police her story of sexual abuse allegedly at the hands of her then step father. Bob Ingle was charged with rape, sodomy and sexual abuse.

However, the case gets worse if that is possible for Becca McEvoy and her family. 11 year old Becca McEvoy after being sexually molested would later die in a car accident before the rape case ever went to trial. In steps the lawyer that would defend a child predator wanting to dismiss the case stating that his client has constitutional right to cross examine his accuser.

“If we can’t use what she said, the case is over,” said Steve Giardini who prosecutes child sex crimes for the Mobile County District Attorney’s office. He says there will be a hearing to determine if what Becca said before her death can be used in a trial.

That hearing was supposed to be held on March 13. It has been pushed back for a second time in order to accommodate cases where the victims are alive. Giardini says he wants to prosecute the case. Whether he can will be up to a judge.” She’s not here and her case might not be seen and if its not, I feel like I failed her.” (NBC 15)

Can you imagine that the fate of justice for a little girl is now in the hands of a judge. Please do not let children be victimized twice. It is bad enough that an 11 year old was raped, but to allow her to be raped again by the legal system is beyond shameful.

Yet again there was another form of victimzation by low life’s who have a special spot reserved in hell that would use the death of a 11 year old girl as a scam for their monetary gain.

ARUBA … DON’T MESS WITH TEXAS … “Justice for Natalee” Protest and Reminder to Aruba at the Houston Travel Show

ARUBA … DON’T MESS WITH TEXAS!!!

They have been to New York City twice, Boston twice, New Orleans, Valley Forge, PA, Miami,   St Charles, MO, and now Houston, TX. Do we need to remind you Aruba, Don’t mess with Texas. Congratulations to the people who helped reminds potential travelers that Aruba has provided no answers or “Justice for Natalee”. The mission continues by those individuals who demand the truth and justice for missing Alabama teen, Natalee Holloway.

It seems that Aruba truly does not have a comprehension of free speech. No wonder people are afraid to come forward to tell what they know regarding Natalee. However, Aruba … you are not in Kansas anymore. Welcome to America … The home of the free and the land of the brave.

I found out later from the convention coordinator that the Arubans complained incessantly about us and even confiscated one man’s tote (yes, they really had the audacity to do that)! He also told me that the Arubans seemed to have trouble understanding that nobody could turn us away as long as we did what we were told. I guess Arubans really don’t understand free speech as we know it.

“What?! That girl’s still missing?”

 Of all the countless positive, supportive comments that I heard that whole day, that one genuinely shocked exclamation stands out in my mind. But we found out one thing again and again and again throughout the day: Houston, Texas loves Natalee. Before the protest even started, a retired HPD detective saw my boycott tee-shirt and expressed his support for the boycott as I waited for the others to arrive.

Two wonderfully dedicated, savvy, intelligent people named Vicki and Richard have been organizing or helping to organize small protests at any travel and tourism show that the Aruba Tourism Association has a booth at for the last 18 months. They’ve been in New York City, Boston, Miami, and New Orleans in the past. This weekend, the ATA is at the Houston Travel and Adventure Show. So are we.

 There’s not many of us- only eight- but that was enough. We took up positions outside the convention center in small groups, signs and pamphlets in hand. None of us have ever done this before, but those who had gave us a lot of good advice: do exactly what the police liaison tells you do, be friendly and polite, keep a pamphlet in hand at all times, and don’t be afraid- you’re here for Natalee and her family. Oh, and there may be news crews showing up to interview the event coordinator. That would be me.

 Great. I am not at all photogenic.

 I’ve never met any of them before, but I had a great team of protesters. Laura drove all the way from Dallas to be there. Molly brought her whole family to help, not to mention a picnic lunch, too. Lynn and his wife Ellie are old enough to be my grandparents, but they were there, ready to fight the good fight right along with us.

 It took me all of about ten minutes to realize that this was going to be easier than I thought, because people are incredibly supportive. Between 11 am and 4 pm we handed out each and every one of seven hundred pamphlets and over a hundred totes that we had. At the end of the day, all we had left was one stack of our ‘backup’ flyers and one stack of business cards. The only negative comment we heard all day was from a man who obviously knew nothing about the case. Hundreds to one are odds I’ll take any day.

 The support truly was amazing. It crossed gender lines, generations, and races. For those of you who think that Natalee would not have the attention she did if she were a minority, well, you’re dead wrong. Half the people who stopped to talk to us and offered their support were African-American. We didn’t expect to talk to men the size of pro linebackers about Natalee and hear that depth of genuine concern, but we did. A rickshaw driver (yes, they have those downtown) stopped by and offered his help displaying boycott advertising on the back of his rikshaw. We could not keep pamphlets in our hands. We gave our few precious totes only to those who had the deepest sympathy for Natalee or who were willing to take a tote past the Aruba booth, and we still ran out. Other people were more than willing to drop by and tell the Arubans how they felt. One lady took a bag in to show them, then decided to keep the bag and hang it in the window of her shop in Houston.

Vogue: Lebron James and Gisele Bundchen Cover … King Kong & Faye Wray … Racially Insensitive … Get a Life!

File this one under … Racism, you have got to be joking … Get a Life!

VOGUE … racially insensitive cover? The only racism that needs to be addressed is by those who seemingly read into and see racism where there is none. We really must start questioning those who cry racism at the drop of a hat. There is real racism that exists, this is not it!

It is simply amazing and disgusting how some people can only see the negative in life. One would think they want to for ulterior motives. When I look at this cover, I see the Odd Couple. I see two people who have made it to the top of their careers at such a young age, have more money and popularity than they know what to do with and have made their mark in two diversely different ways. Both driven in their own ways … both at the top of their game, Gisele with beauty and looks and Lebron with a body that most men would die for and the skills that have made him deserving of the name, King James.

There comes a point and time where some people just need to stop their racism agenda. The latest so-called “racially insensitive” call to arms is the recent Vogue cover with NBA basketball phenom Lebron James and super model Gisele Bundchen. King James is actually the first black man to ever grace its cover. However, in the world we live in where some one always seems to find a racially motivated conspiracy in every thing … a controversy has erupted comparing the Vogue cover to that of King Kong and Fay Wray.

But the image is stirring up controversy, with some commentators decrying the photo as perpetuating racial stereotypes. James strikes what some see as a gorilla-like pose, baring his teeth, with one hand dribbling a ball and the other around Bundchen’s tiny waist.

It’s an image some have likened to King Kong and Fay Wray.

“It conjures up this idea of a dangerous black man,” said Tamara Walker, 29, of Philadelphia. (USA Today)

This ridiculous stupidity stems from an ESPN story by Jemele Hill who stated the following:

A black athlete being reduced to a savage is, sadly, nothing new. But this cover gave you the double-bonus of having LeBron and Gisele strike poses that others in the blogosphere have noted draw a striking resemblance to the racially charged image of King Kong enveloping his very fair-skinned lady love interest.

LeBron is just the third male ever to appear on Vogue’s cover, but it’s hard to believe Vogue would have made Brett Favre, Steve Nash or even David Beckham strike his best beast pose. And even if Vogue had, it wouldn’t carry the same racial undertones as having a fear-inducing black man paired with a dainty damsel.

Too often, black athletes are presented as angry, overly aggressive and overly sexual. Or sometimes, they’re just plain emasculated.

That’s correct. You heard that right. The cover of Lebron James and Gisele Bundchen is being compared to King Kong and Fay Wray. What are some people thinking and what is their agenda? Maybe some one would like to ask Jemele Hill, who is black, why she sees racism where there is none. How can any one look at a simple magazine cover and describe it as another form of racism against black? Unfortunately, there is obviously racism that still occurs in the 21st century; however, this is not it. When people constantly cry wolf and make absurd comments, they diminish the acts of real racism.

People have been suspended and even fired from their jobs for making racist or what were perceived as racist comments. One has to wonder why ESPN would not do the same with Jemele Hill’s attempt at calling something racist when it was not. Even many black activists saw nothing wrong with the cover. In fact, one might think that this was a break though milestone as Lebron James was the first black man ever to be on the cover.

Why should be be wary of this ESPN article by Jemele Hill? Because she manages to evoke the super Democratic, all loving, all knowing, all caring, above racism and ignorance candidate Barack Obama. Why is it surprising that race and Obama’s name would come up again so soon? Does Miss Hill attend the same type of church that Obama did and does as well?

Today Barack Obama will do what all politicians do when they find themselves in the midst of a political fire storm … lie to the people in order for the issue to go away. Does this sound like a candidate of CHANGE? Or just another political candidate who was discovered for what they really are? Barack Obama will make a speech today to address his relationship with the Reverend Wright and his hate filled comments about America and the white race.

Obama will attempt to lecture us on Race. Isn’t that priceless. This coming from the candidate who wanted everyone to believe he was about change, judgement and able to cross the divide of white and black America. After having been witness to the hateful and racist words of Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Barack Obama’s pastor and religious adviser for 20 years, everyone best take a good look at what the media is calling a uniter. Only now Obama wants to address this issue in hopes it goes away.

We are supposed to believe that in 20 years that Barack Obama never knew or had never seen or heard such comments come from Wright’s pulpit. Is that really believable? Hardly! Isn’t it amazing that Obama only now really wishes to address these racially charged comments because its about his political career, not his character.

Let us be reminded of some truly great words that one does not get to use just because of the color of their skin, but because of the content of their character.

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

 People know racism when they hear it. Hate knows no color. How is it that Obama could be in a church with this type of message for 20 years and not see what was right in front of him. The answer is … he did not want to. Only now when it may affect his political career does Obama care and want to address the problem. No one wants to hear excuses or the good that Wright has done for his people. The KKK and other racists have done good by their people too. That is how they keep them in line and coming back for more.

Obama … you have lost the right to speak to us about RACE. You are obviously not a man of all the people. That message rings loud and clear.

Scared Monkeys Protests Aruba at the St. Louis Travel Show in St. Charles, MO and a Show of Unity for Justice…for Natalee Holloway

Once again there was a travel show, this time the St Louis Travel Show 2008, in St Charles, MO. Once again Scared Monkeys was present protesting Aruba and providing a show of Unity for Justice … for Natalee Holloway and all US citizens missing/murdered in foreign countries.

Concerned individuals showed at the 2008 St. Louis Travel Show to provide a voice for Natalee Holloway and remind all travelers that Aruba has still done nothing to provide … Justice for Natalee. It would appear from reports that once again the Aruban booth was a ghost town and Aruba still has this issue with that America right called “free speech”.

Natalee left a local night club with a young man who claimed to be a student from Holland, staying at the Holiday Inn…the same hotel Natalee and her group were staying.  She got into a car believing she was being taken back to her hotel…she has NOT BEEN SEEN since…

Her parents flew to Aruba and the one of the biggest injustices to an American citizen and family began.  Her parents and their friends discovered, in a few short hours, who Natalee left with and the circumstances. They provided the local police with the information…information the police should have already had but didn’t..WHY? Because they had not taken any steps to find out!! It was just a missing girl…no big deal…right!

The past 2 years and 10 months have been filled with unbelievable highs and lows for the family of Natalee Holloway….her father spent 2 weeks digging in the local landfill looking for his daughter’s body. Her mother was followed and threatened in Aruba,

Joran Van der Sloot, the son of a local member of the legal establishment and acting JUDGE, states in a taped conversation with his ‘best friend’ that Natalee convulsed on the beach and  not knowing whether she was dead or ALIVE,  arranged to have her body dumped in the sea…he was not arrested……!   WHY?  If he was innocent of any wrong doing towards Natalee…why not call 911? Why not get her HELP!! WHY??

And where is this suspect now?  Is he in jail? NO!!! Not even his taped confession of being responsible for having her dumped in the sea, possibly ALIVE, was not enough for Aruba…..to arrest him. He walks free and Natalee Holloway is still missing.

Natalee is but one young woman…but she could be any young woman…someone YOU know….and love.
