Feds Collect Record Taxes Through April $2,007,451,000,000; Still Run $385.4B Deficit

WE HAVE GOT TO CUT GOVERNMENT  SPENDING …

As reported at CNS News, the federal government collected a record $2,007,451,000,000 in total taxes through the first seven months of fiscal 2018; however, still managed to run a deficit for that period of $385,444,000,000. This country has got to get serious about its spending issues and prioritize them. The days of  the welfare state are over. Serious consideration needs to be looked into Medicare and social security. However, for those who blame the Trump tax cuts, you would be wrong. In the month of April itself, the Treasury collected $510,440,000,000 in total taxes, while spending $296,192,000,000 thus, running a surplus for the month of April of $214,255,000,000.Wastful spending must be done away with and Republicans who spend like liberal Democrats must be removed from office.

The federal government collected a record $2,007,451,000,000 in total taxes through the first seven months of fiscal 2018 (October through April), but still ran a deficit for that period of $385,444,000,000, according to the Monthly Treasury Statement.

The record total federal taxes collected during this period also included a record $1,050,601,000,000 in individual income taxes—marking the earliest in any fiscal year that individual income taxes have topped $1 trillion.

But even while the Treasury was collecting its record $2,007,451,000,000 in total taxes from October through April, it was spending $2,392,896,000,000—thus, accumulating a deficit of $385,444,000,000.

April was best month in history for U.S. budget, according to CBO figures.

The federal government took in a record tax haul in April en route to its biggest-ever monthly budget surplus, the Congressional Budget Office said, as a surging economy left Americans with more money in their paychecks — and this more to pay to Uncle Sam.

All told the government collected $515 billion and spent $297 billion, for a total monthly surplus of $218 billion. That swamped the previous monthly record of $190 billion, set in 2001.

CBO analysts were surprised by the surplus, which was some $40 billion more than they’d guessed at less than a month ago.

U.S Government Collects Record Taxes $443,715,000,000 Through November and Still Run $201.8B Deficit

HOW IS THIS FRIGGING POSSIBLE … WHEN ARE THESE DIRT BAG POLITICIANS GOING TO ADMIT WE HAVE A SPENDING PROBLEM?

CNS News is reporting that the federal government collected record total tax revenues of $443,715,000,000 in the first two months of fiscal 2018 and still ran a deficit of $201,761,000,000 for those same two months. WTF!!! How is this possible? What the hell does Washington DC expect from We the People? The answer can’t be let’s just tax the piss out of the people and business even more. The fact is that because the economy is booming, more and more revenues will be coming into the government and they will still be under water.  This is a pox on all of your Houses, Democrat, Republican and so-called Independent socialists. Enough is enough!

How is it that private sector businesses are doing more without these days through innovation, yet the federal government just keeps growing and growing? Why is it that families in the United States have to make ends meet and do without when they can’t afford things? But not the out of control federal government. This cannot continue to happen. There have got to be spending cuts in government. Pensions for government employees, other than military need to go. Every department needs to but their budgets by 30%, except military. Honestly, how did we get to this? Sadly, there will never be any tough changes because of the nature of dirty opposition politics. Because neither party, nor both together, is willing to do the right thing for the country. It now seems that both parties just want to collect more and more monies and redistribute it to others and in the process continue this out of control spending. The government has got too big and it is time to regulate government, not business or We the People.

The federal government collected record total tax revenues of $443,715,000,000 in the first two months of fiscal 2018 (Oct. 1, 2017 through the end of November), according to the Monthly Treasury Statement.

Despite these record tax revenues, the federal government still ran a deficit of $201,761,000,000 for those same two months.

That is because the government spent $645,476,000,000 in October and November.

The $443,715,000,000 that the federal government collected in taxes in the first two months of this fiscal year was $12,873,120,000 more in constant 2018 dollars than it collected in the first two months of fiscal 2017 and $11,352,180,000 more than it collected in the first two months of fiscal 2016.

Prior to this year, the $432,362,820,000 in total taxes (in constant 2018 dollars) that the federal government collected in the first two months of fiscal 2016 was the greatest amount of taxes the federal government had ever collected in the first two months of a fiscal year.

Americans Completely Distrust Their Government … 19% Say They Trust the Government Always or Most of the Time

DOES ANYONE WONDER WHY ANTI-ESTABLISHMENT CANDIDATES ARE DOING SO WELL?

According to a recent Pew Center poll,  just 19% say they can trust the government always or most of the time, among the lowest levels in the past half-century. I would actually question who those 19% are that think they can trust the government that much in this day and age. What is sad and has become a commonplace view by many Americans is that most Americans fell that elected officials put their own ambitions and power ahead of the country. Currently, Republicans are nearly three times as likely as Democrats (12%) to say they are angry with the government. Of course that is the case because Democrats follow Obama in lockstep and the Republican voters are upset that they have a bunch of gutless elected House and Senate members who made promises to get elected and once in power have done nothing but make excuses.

PEW Poll_112215

A year ahead of the presidential election, the American public is deeply cynical about government, politics and the nation’s elected leaders in a way that has become quite familiar.

Currently, just 19% say they can trust the government always or most of the time, among the lowest levels in the past half-century. Only 20% would describe government programs as being well-run. And elected officials are held in such low regard that 55% of the public says “ordinary Americans” would do a better job of solving national problems.

Currently, 22% say they are “angry” at the federal government; 57% are “frustrated,” and 18% say they are “basically content.” These sentiments have changed little over the past year, but two years ago – during the partial government shutdown – a record 30% expressed anger at government.

The share of Republicans and Republican leaners saying they are angry with the government is not as high as in October 2013 (32% now, 38% then). Nonetheless, Republicans are nearly three times as likely as Democrats (12%) to say they are angry with the government. And among politically engaged Republicans and Democrats – those who vote frequently and follow politics on a regular basis – the gap is nearly four-to-one (42% to 11%).

Among both Democrats and Republicans, large majorities say they can seldom, if ever, trust the federal government (89% of Republicans, 72% of Democrats). While trust in government among Republicans has varied widely depending on whether a Republican or Democrat is in the White House, Democrats’ views have shown far less change.

Remember America, this is your government and you elected them. Vote them out if you are so dissatisfied. Obviously, a Democrat or Republican is not going to vote for the other parties candidate, but you can toss the establishment candidates of both parties out on their collective ears in the primaries.

Gallup Poll: Americans Continue to Name Government as the Biggest Problem Facing the United States

AMERICANS NAME GOVERNMENT THE #1 PROBLEM FACING THE UNITED STATES …

Americans are fed up with the increasing and oppressive government. In a recent Gallup poll, Americans named the government as the biggest problem facing the United States. For the past 4 months, the government has been named the biggest problem facing “We the People”. They are correct.  Even with such issues as terrorism, healthcare, race relations and immigration are extremely important problems facing Americans, the government, the economy and unemployment have been at the top of the list for the past year. In the end, it is our lawless government that refuses to follow the US Constitution,  our government that fails to adequately deal with border security, our government that makes the Middle East worse, our government that continually regulates us in a way that our Founding Fathers never intended and our government that spies on us and treats law-abiding, legal US citizens as a greater threat than terrorists.

Americans have grown weary of a government that could care less about the people and only about their power. Every day we are witness to a Democrat president who shreds the Constitution and a gutless Republican Congress who is too cowardice to defend it.

Gallup Poll_Government biggest problem

The Politico:

The government is America’s most important problem, according to a new poll.

In a Gallup poll released Thursday, 18 percent of Americans named government as the biggest problem facing the U.S.

The economy trailed closely behind as an important problem with 11 percent, followed by “unemployment/jobs” at 10 percent.

The poll shows a slight increase in those who are dissatisfied with government. In February, 17 percent answered that the government is the most important problem. Americans also seem to be optimistic about the economy. Last month, 16 percent of Americans said that the economy was the most important problem — nearly tying with government. That figure is now down 5 percentage points.

Major survey finds record low confidence in government.

Americans’ confidence in all three branches of government is at or near record lows, according to a major survey that has measured attitudes on the subject for 40 years.

The 2014 General Social Survey finds only 23 percent of Americans have a great deal of confidence in the Supreme Court, 11 percent in the executive branch and 5 percent in Congress. By contrast, half have a great deal of confidence in the military.

As Ronald Reagen profoundly stated so many years ago, “Government is not the solution to our problems, government is the problem.”

Ronald Reagan also said so many years ago, “We are a nation that has a government. Our government has no power except for that granted by the people. It is time to check and reverse the growth of government, which shows signs of having grown beyond the consent of the governed.” WAKE UP AMERICA!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM BARACK OBAMA AND THE FIRST FAMILY …

As announced at Judicial Watch, the Obama Family’s 2014 Christmas vacation in Hawaii cost taxpayers $3,672,798 in transportation expenses. This while many hard working, tax paying families struggled to put presents under the tree for their children. Obama is pretty good at giving gifts away at the expense of the American tax payer. Then there is his vacations …

Obama Claus

Judicial Watch announced today it obtained records from the U.S. Department of the Air Force revealing that the Obama family’s 2014 Christmas vacation to Honolulu, Hawaii, cost taxpayers $3,672,798 in flight expenses alone. Christmas in Hawaii is an annual tradition for the family and their most recent visit, from December 19, 2014, to January 4, 2015, marked their seventh Hawaiian vacation. The documents came from the Department of the Air Force in response to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request filed on January 5, 2015.  Costs for the trip to Hawaii, to the West Coast, and to Martha’s Vineyard last year, cost nearly $3 million alone in transportation.

According to the documents, the Obama’s spent 17.8 hours in the air round-trip at $206,337.00 per hour, bringing the total cost to taxpayers to $3,672,798.60.

According to other figures obtained by Judicial Watch over the past three years, Obama Hawaii Christmas vacations have cost taxpayers $15,540,515.10 in transportation expenses alone. This includes outbound and return flight expenses in 2012 totaling $4,086,355.20. (The Secret Service provided documents for Obama’s Christmas 2012 trip to Honolulu. The grand total is $654,599.40 including $409,225.78 in hotels.)  Flight expenses for the Obamas’ Christmas vacations to Hawaii cost taxpayers $7,781,361.30.

And the Christmas 2014 flight expense of $3,672,798.60. The average American family spent $4,580 on Christmas in 2014.
