Tennessee College Republicans from the Obama Generation to “The Debt Generation” … Welcome to Obama’s Generational Theft

Obama’s reelection bid is no longer and promises of “hope & change,” its about running on his record …

Barack Obama has pretty much disillusions ed every one that voted for him in 2008, no voting block more than the college age youth.  They have gone from the Obama generation in 2008 to the “DEBT GENERATION”. Watch the video below from the Tennessee College Republicans, aptly titled, ” The Debt Generation”. Check out the Debt Clock.

The Debt Generation

Hat Tip: Gateway Pundit

In 2008 more than 2/3 of America’s youth voted for Barack Obama; however, little did the naive college kids know that Barack Obama would hang them out to dry and create an out of control debt of political gifts that they would be responsible for. Many of them now regret that they ever voted for Obama. The One handed out gifts like Santa Claus; however, Santa does not charge you for the gifts he gives, Obama does. Fewer young voters see themselves as Democrats and unlike 2008, the Obama magic is gone. The bloom is off the rose and Obama is not perceived as “Hope & Change” but instead the same old, same old of an establishment politician.

Welcome to the “generational” theft of Barack Obama. The result, Obama has lost the luvin’ feeling of America’s youth.

UPDATE I: A blast from the past from Vanderbilt from 2009 … And the Obama gang thought we would just forget.

What’s Another $1.2 Trillion … Obama Makes Official Request that Congress Raise the Debt Ceiling to more than $16 Trillion

And the Barack Obama spending keeps on coming … UNPATRIOTIC!

It’s official, President Barack Obama asks for the debt ceiling to be raised by another $1.2 trillion. Good grief, will the spending never stop? where is the fiscal discipline from this President, where is the leadership to take on the ridiculous National Debt and go after entitlement programs and wasteful DC spending that are bankrupting America?

The Gateway Pundit reminds us of when Barack Obama called raising the national debt irresponsible and unpatriotic when GWB raised the debt by $4 trillion in 8 years. What does Obama say about the $8 trillion he has increased it by in less than 4 years? Hmm? Talk about your Obama hypocrisy.

President Obama on Thursday made an official request that Congress raise the debt ceiling by $1.2 trillion over the objections of several House Republicans.

Obama’s formal notification gives both chambers 15 days to vote on whether to approve the hike. The House plans to vote on this request on Jan. 18, a spokeswoman for House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) said.

The United States reached the $15.194 trillion debt limit on Jan. 4, according to Treasury statements. Since that time, Treasury has employed the “extraordinary measure” of tapping into its Exchange Stabilization Fund to avoid exceeding the limit.

The White House agreed not to make an official request to raise the debt ceiling until now so that Congress could vote on the matter.

The United States cannot afford another 4 years of Barack Obama … the 2012 cannot come fast enough.

Senator Marco Rubio (FL-R) to Obama … You are Turning America into a “Deadbeat Nation”

Is this the “Hope & Change” America was promised … a deadbeat nation?

US Senator Marco Rubio (FL-R) fired off a scathing yet accurate letter to President Obama stating that during his first term and the lack of leadership from The One,  Obama is turning America into a “deadbeat nation”. With record number of Americans on food stamps, millions unemployed and a record federal national debt, Obama answer is to continue his reckless spending and European-like nanny state policies.

The entire letter can be read HERE.

In a scathing letter sent to Barack Obama this morning, Senator Marco Rubio said that under the President’s first term in office, “more and more people have come to believe that America is becoming a deadbeat nation.”

Rubio went on to pledge that he would challenge any further increase in the debt ceiling, arguing that “we [Congress] need to make it routine to actually spend no more than we take in.” In the letter obtained by HUMAN EVENTS, the Florida Senator said that President Obama’s upcoming request to increase the debt ceiling by a whopping $1.2 trillion will cause the nation’s public debt to surpass the $16 trillion mark.

“I will oppose your request to continue borrowing and spending recklessly.”

[...]

If President Obama led the charge to reduce the country’s unsustainable debt in mid 2011 rather than punt the enterprise to a “Super Committee,” asserted Rubio, we’d already be on a pathway toward economic growth and prosperity. “Unfortunately, the first three years of your presidency have been a profile in leadership failure.”

America cannot afford another four more years of Obama, let alone the damage he might cause in the next year prior to the 2012 election.

Forget the Rhetoric & Class Warfare … Take a Look at Obama By the Numbers

America, how’s that “Hopey, Changey” stuff working out for you?

Forget the Obama rhetoric, forget the Obama class warfare, forget the constant name calling and blame that Obama and his minions target the GOP and Tea Party with … From the Ace of Spades, just take a good look at Barack Obama through the numbers.  We all the that the present state of affairs of the economy is terrible and Obama has been an epic failure as president; however, when you just take a good look at the actual numbers under Barack Obama … its worse than you even imagined.

Check out the numbers that include poverty rate, unemployment, inflation, health insurance premiums, food stamp usage, average housing prices, national debt, deficit, etc. Are you better off under President Barack Obama? The numbers do not lie, although he might. Remember the numbers in 2012!

SURPRISE, SURPRISE, SURPRISE, … They Just Can’t Help It, Democrats Push for Tax Hikes First in Deficit Talks

As reported by Reuters,Democrats on the deficit reduction “super-committee” want to talk tax hikes first. Does this really come as a shock to anyone and just proves what a stupid idea this was in the first place. What a surprise, Democrats want to discuss raising taxes. is there ever a time that Democrats don’t want to raise taxes on Americans?

Democrats want tax hikes to be the first item negotiated in “super committee” deficit-reduction talks, trying to force Republicans to confront an issue at the heart of this year’s budget fights, sources told Reuters.

The tough stance by Democratic members of the powerful 12-member congressional panel reflects the party’s wariness that Republicans might try to sideline the issue of revenue increases in the negotiations.

“They’ve raised the idea of doing taxes first,” a Republican aide involved in the discussions said on Friday on condition of anonymity.

As stated at the American Thinker, there is so much out of control spending by the US government, raising taxes is not the answer … there have to be reductions in spending at all levels. The question is who has the guts to do it?

Consider: Over the next 10 years the federal government will spend over $40 trillion. The idea that there is not $1.2 trillion out of that mind boggling sum to cut without raising taxes a dime is beyond belief. There is probably 5 times that amount that could be cut without raising taxes – if we had a congress and political parties with the spine to do it.

Barack Obama, A President to No Where … “I, I, I, I, I’m, I’m a warrior for the middle class”

When you have to continuously tell people, it’s not class warfare and that “I, I, I, I, I’m, I’m a warrior for the middle class,” chances are neither statement is the truth. But what else should we expect from the “I, I, I, Me, Me, Me” President?

VIDEO Hat Tip: Real Clear Politics

“Now the Republicans, you know when I, I talked about this earlier in the week. They said ‘well, this is class warfare.’ You know what? If asking a billionaire to pay their fair of taxes. To pay the same tax rate as a plumber or a teacher is class warfare, then you know what? I, I, I, I, I’m, I’m a warrior for the middle class. I’m happy to fight for the middle class,” President Obama said at the Brent Spence Bridge in Cincinnati, OH.

Interestingly enough, former President Bill Clinton thought that Obama’s jobs, federal deficit and “Buffet” rule was a little confusing and a lot misguided. Clinton basically rejected the millionaire tax, knowing that it will hinder economic growth and be taxed to individuals who make much less that $1 million.

Former President Bill Clinton says Obama’s approach to taming the federal deficit “is a little confusing” and suggests that raising taxes would blockade any efforts to revive the stale U.S. economy. During an interview with Newsmax CEO Christopher Ruddy in New York, where Clinton held the 10th annual meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative, the former President discussed political topics such as climate change, tax policy, and government regulations. He also mentioned the possibility of his wife, Hillary, running for President in 2016, naming her “the ablest person in my generation.”

Clinton conceded to Ruddy that he was somewhat baffled with President Obama’s newly-announced tax plan — the “Buffett Rule” — which would raise taxes on individuals earning over $1 million. “In the speech that the president gave to Congress, he didn’t propose any new taxes. The speech was $250 billion in tax cuts, $250 billion in spending over a period of two to three years. It focused mostly on a rather innovative set of payroll tax cuts and incentives to hire people,” Clinton asserted.

President Barack Obama Sinks to All-Time Job Approval Low in Washington Post-ABC News Poll

Obama’s “Hope & Change” has turned to threats & fear and has resulted in all time polling lows …

According to the most recent WAPO-ABC News poll, President Barack Obama has sunk to an all-time low, or high, disapproval rating of 53%.  On handling the economy Obama has a 62% disapproval rating, creating jobs, 62% disapproval and handling the federal budget, 60% disapproval. Only 36% of Americans polled approve of Obama’s handling of the economy. Is it any wonder why Obama and his union minions have been set out to attack the GOP and Tea Party to divert attention from the President’s failed policies.

Full polling data can be seen HERE.

Public pessimism about the direction of the country has jumped to its highest level in nearly three years, erasing the sense of hope that followed President Obama’s inauguration and pushing his approval ratings to a record low, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll.

More than 60 percent of those surveyed say they disapprove of the way the president is handling the economy and, what has become issue No. 1, the stagnant jobs situation. Just 43 percent now approve of the job he is doing overall, a new career low; 53 percent disapprove, a new high.

Nearly 2/3′s of America disapproves of the job that President Obama has done in handling the economy. Americans disagree with the direction of the country and how Obama has handled his job. So that begs the questions, why should Republicans do more of the same of what Obama’s wants in fixing the economy? They answer is, they should not. There might be a few issues that they can agree on, but trillion $ stimulus or even 100′s of billions is out of the question.

How does Obama win in 2012 with a 53% job disapproval rating in the WAPO?

Obamanonics vs. Reaganomics: One a Complete Failure, the Other a Resounding Success … “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times”

Call it a Tale of Two Presidencies, Obamanonics vs. Reaganomics.

You make the call which is which, it should not be too difficult to determine Obama from Reagan. Democrats and the MSM like to call Obama “Reaganesque;” however, any common sense thinking person knows Obama is “Carteresque”. The talking points of the LEFT is that Obama inherited a bad economy and they have constantly used that as an excuse. Flashback to Ronald Reagan, who inherited a worse economy from Jimmy Carter and turned it around. No one heard excused from President Reagan, they got results instead.

Ronald Reagan, Barack Obama – the two should never be mentioned in the same sentence

“It was the best of times [Reagan], it was the worst of times [Obama], it was the age of wisdom [Reagan], it was the age of foolishness [Obama], it was the epoch of belief [Reagan], it was the epoch of incredulity [Obama], it was the season of Light [Reagan], it was the season of Darkness [Obama], it was the spring of hope [Reagan], it was the winter of despair [Obama], we had everything before us [Reagan], we had nothing before us [Obama], we were all going direct to Heaven [Reagan], we were all going direct the other way [Obama]

Democrats like to compare Barack Obama to former President Ronald Reagan, but do they really? Not after reading the Wallstreet Journal’s latest article spelling out the failed accomplishments of Obamanomics and the success of Reaganomics. No honest and thinking person could ever compare the two Presidents, the manner in which they went going about fixing a terrible economy and the results of their policies. The key words here were “honest” and “thinking”.  The MSM seems to have amnesia when they compare Obama and Reagan forgetting the fact that “The Great Communicators” policies

The two presidents have a lot in common. Both inherited an American economy in collapse. And both applied daring, expensive remedies. Mr. Reagan passed the biggest tax cut ever, combined with an agenda of deregulation, monetary restraint and spending controls. Mr. Obama, of course, has given us a $1 trillion spending stimulus.

By the end of the summer of Reagan’s third year in office, the economy was soaring. The GDP growth rate was 5% and racing toward 7%, even 8% growth. In 1983 and ’84 output was growing so fast the biggest worry was that the economy would “overheat.” In the summer of 2011 we have an economy limping along at barely 1% growth and by some indications headed toward a “double-dip” recession. By the end of Reagan’s first term, it was Morning in America. Today there is gloomy talk of America in its twilight.

My purpose here is not more Reagan idolatry, but to point out an incontrovertible truth: One program for recovery worked, and the other hasn’t.

Former Secretary of State Colin Powell Says “I haven’t decided who I’m going to vote for” in 2012 Presidential Election

This morning on CBS’s ‘Face the Nation’, Former Secretary of State Colin Powell stated that he had not “decided who he was going to vote for” in the 2012 Presidential election. It appears that Colin Powell has lost that Obama Luvin’ Feeling. After having crossed party lines and voting for Obama in 2008, Powell said that he was not necessarily going to support Obama for reelection in 2012. Really Colin? What was your first inkling to think this?

Discussion starts at the 7:15 mark of the above VIDEO

Former Secretary of State Colin Powell, who famously crossed party lines to vote for President Obama in 2008, said today that he’s not necessarily supporting the president for reelection in 2012.

“I haven’t decided who I’m going to vote for,” Powell said on CBS’ “Face the Nation.” “Just as was the case in 2008, I am going to watch the campaign unfold. In the course of my life I have voted for Democrats, I have voted for Republicans, I have changed from one four-year cycle to another.

Powell stated that there are plenty of interesting Republican candidates and that he will take a look; however, did not commit nor state who he thought was the front runner. The question that should have been asked of Powell and for obvious reasons was not by CBS was … in the past Mr. Powell you praised Barack Obama’s leadership style in 2008 in endorsing him and stated that before the election that Obama “has a definite way of doing business that will serve us well.” Do you still stand by those comments?
