Joran Van der Sloot: “I think that I would not have made it in the United States.” Joran, That’s Because there would be No Cover Up
Joran Van der Sloot continues to taunt the family of Natalee Holloway and shove it in the face of America of what he got away with. Who would really want to go to ARUBA that would allow this to happen?
Joran Van der Sloot may have said the first truthful words from his mouth since Natalee Holloway disappeared in Aruba over 2 1/2 years ago, “I think that I would not have made it in the United States.” Joran, that is because this crime would have been investigated like every other missing persons case and there would have been no cover up to protect you. Like every other missing persons case in the US where the suspect last seen with the victim is guilty.
Yes, this case would have been much different in the US; however, you will always be known for what you did no matter the preferential treatment that you were provided. Also, Aruba will always be known as the place where Natalee Holloway went missing and was killed, while being provided no justice by Aruban officials. Aruba should be ashamed of itself. You purposely botched the investigation and then botched the prosecution.
Yes Joran, you can thank your lucky stars that you had dady’s friends help. However, that does not change the fact that you have a much more important day of reckoning and judgement ahead that will make all this pale in comparison.
They would finish me off in the US, Amigoe: 12/8/07
Joran, by now nicely shaved, on his way to the supermarket, while enjoying his freedom.
ORANJESTAD – Both lawyers had assured that after days of isolation, Joran van der Sloot would not want to say one word to the media. Especially his parents are concerned. On Friday afternoon, a few hours after his release, while walking back home from a supermarket in Noord with his younger brother, he was still willing to give a first reaction. People in the supermarket have already been whispering: “he’s back”, “What has he endured”, and “It’s such a nice family”. He doesn’t seem to be worried to walk over the street. “I think that I would not have made it in the United States.”

NBC Nixes Salute and Thanks to US Troops During Holiday Season by Freedom’s Watch
NBC says no thanks to salute to US Troops, the very people that protect their rights of freedom of speech.
NBC shows their true colors and what they really think about the support of our US military. One would think that someone would be intelligent enough at NBC to see the message, not the messenger. However, not at liberal NBC where the liberal suits sit around at cocktail parties and hate all things they do not meet their liberal agenda … SHAME ON YOU!!!
NBC may say no to airing this ad; however, Scared Monkeys will always put forth and promote an ad that supports our brave men and women in the military that sacrifice for us every day.
To our military troops at home and around the world … THANK YOU, MERRY CHRISTMAS, HAPPY HANUKKAH AND GOD BLESS YOU EVERYONE.
CHECK OUT THE AD THAT NBC REFUSES TO RUN THANKING OUR BRAVE SOLDIERS
What is NBC thinking? The NBC Peacock has rejected a TV ad by Freedom’s Watch, “that asks viewers to remember and thank U.S. troops during the holiday season”. The reason being that the web site of Freedom’s Watch is too political? The ads are to run on CNN and Fox News Channel and are running in various newspapers including the New York Times. NBC, who is too political?
NBC, who every night has Keith Olbermann and Chis Matthews come on and spew their political rhetoric against President George W. Bush and the war, yet somehow Freedom’s Watch is too political. Its not that they are too political NBC as to why you will not run these ads … its that they do not agree with your politics. So much for freedom of speech and the differing of opinions on the air waves. Who is hurt in the end? OUR TROOPS!!! All because of NBC’s left wing agenda, they refuse to just have a “THANK YOU” to the men and women that protect NBC’s very right to have free speech.
CHECK OUT THE OTHER AD FROM FREEDOM’S WATCH THAT NBC REFUSES TO RUN
WASHINGTON (AP) – NBC has rejected a TV ad by Freedom’s Watch, a conservative group that supports administration policy in Iraq, that asks viewers to remember and thank U.S. troops during the holiday season.
NBC said it declined to air the ad because it refers to the group’s Web site, which the network said was too political, not because of the ad’s message.
“Anybody in the world who would look at this ad would come away with nothing other than we should be thankful for their service,” Freedom’s Watch president Brad Blakeman said.
Shame on you NBC that you would actually try and censor another media outlets content in order to fit your liberal agenda.
Freedom’s Watch President and CEO Bradley Blakeman told FOX on Friday that this is not the first time NBC has turned down his group’s ads and believes it has a specific objection to his group’s support for the War on Terror.
“NBC asked us to re-vamp our Web site. They wanted to censor us, and we said, ‘No we’re not going to be censored,’” Blakeman said, noting that the organization’s Web site points to more than 20 other non-profit Web sites where readers can thank and support troops.

Aruba Vulnerable to Tourism Dependency … No Kidding … Justice for Natalee
Protesting and boycotting is a personal choice. It always has been and is a sign of solidarity for Natalee and her family. Aruba … this is America where people have the right to protest anything they deem unfair and unjust. That would be you and how you have handled the Natalee Holloway investigation and how you have treated the family of a victim.
Here’s the worst kept secret in Aruba, that Aruba is vulnerable to tourism dependency. OK, its the second worst kept secret. The disappearance of Natalee Holloway is #1.
With Aruba’s continued refusal to provide “Justice for Natalee,” the question continues to be asked … why would anyone go to a Caribbean island like Aruba and spend their hard earned money when “if something bad happens” they will be provided no justice and be treated like a suspect?
At the same time he pointed out the vulnerability of the island by depending so much on the income from tourism. That became clear in 2006, when the growth of the gross national product (BNP) practically came to a standstill and the debt on the current accounts increased drastically after a drop in the number of visiting tourists.
Aruba is most certainly vulnerable to tourism and those that have traveled to tourism trade shows can confirm. Letting individuals and future vacation go’ers know that Natalee Holloway is still missing and no justice has been provided is a powerful tool in informing people.

- New Orleans Travel Trade Show
- Miami Travel Trade Show
- Valley Forge, PA Trade Show
Tourism should never be considered a given by any destination. Tourism is cyclical; however, when one goes out of their way to bring negative attention upon themselves when in the 21st century people have options … that is tourism suicide.

The Insanity Continues … Deepak and Satish Kalpoe Let Out of Jail in Aruba in the Natalee Holloway Case
When will Aruba stop embarrassing themselves?
Why would any tourist island ever want to be forever known as the place where Natalee Holloway disappeared and the place where they did nothing to provide justice?
More insanity out of Aruba, two of the three suspects released from jail in the case of the disappearance of Alabama teen Natalee Holloway. Why would Aruban officials and prosecutors continue to make a mockery of this case? With the eyes of not only the United Stated but the world on Aruba, they continue to embarrass themselves in a manner that is beyond ridiculous. How could anyone be so cruel to continually do this to both Beth and Dave Holloway? What are Aruban officials thinking?
Was there new evidence or not!!! If that is considered a difficult question then we are all in trouble. How can telling the truth be this difficult? Is anyone capable?
The manner in how Aruba has and continues to handle this case defies all logic. Either you have the evidence or you do not. This is not a matter of legal terminology. After over 2 1/2 years and dragging the family of Natalee Holloway through this roller coaster ride, its finally time to make a decision. Either bring a case against the suspects who were last seen with Natalee Holloway like any normal country would do, or deal with the fact forever that individuals will always refer to Aruba as that place where Natalee went missing and they did nothing to provide justice.
BILL & GRETA ARUBAN KEYSTONE COPS WHO RUNS THIS PLACE?
GRETA ARUBA AN INTERNATIONAL JUDICIAL JOKE NATALEE HOLLOWAY
It really is that simple. Either prosecute the case or don’t and live with the consequences. Either provide “Justice for Natalee” or deal with the fact that many who have come to Aruba will never do so again. Honestly, if this is how an investigation and prosecution is handled in a place where people spend 1000’s of dollars to vacation, why would anyone go there? Heaven forbid that it happen to you?
ORANJESTAD, Aruba — One of two brothers charged in the disappearance of American teenager Natalee Holloway was seen leaving the prison Saturday afternoon after a judge ruled the evidence wasn’t strong enough to keep holding them.
Sateesh Kalpoe walked out and was accompanied by his attorney and an unidentified woman, according to an Associated Press photographer who observed them leave.
His brother, Deepak Kalpoe, was expected to be released shortly, his attorney, Hose Figaroa, said. Both have denied having any role in Holloway’s disappearance. (FOX News)
UPDATE I: Brothers in Holloway case walk away from jails — again
Hans Mos, Aruba’s chief public prosecutor, has three days to appeal and will decide Monday whether or not to do so.
Meanwhile, Holloway’s parents met with Mos for about an hour Saturday, and with interrogators for three hours. Neither spoke to reporters afterward.
The brothers’ release was “a bit of a setback,” Mos said Friday. But it does not change his plan to decide by the end of the year whether to prosecute anyone in Holloway’s disappearance.

Reports from Valley Forge Convention Center Demonstration/Protest against Aruba Tourism Authority … Justice For Natalee
JUSTICE FOR NATALEE CONTINUES … KUDOS to those that went to Pennsylvania to provide a voice for Natalee Holloway. Here are some accounts from Richard, one of the individuals who participated in the campaign for “Justice for Natalee”. This is a brief report on today’s demonstration/protest against Aruba Tourism Authority. It was held at the Valley Forge Convention Center, or a name very similar to that, although it was billed as happening in a town called King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. Somehow there is something appealing in the idea of demonstrating at Valley Forge. It wasn’t QUITE as cold as it probably was in George Washington’s day, but none of us mutinied.
Listen to Richards interview on the Dana Pretzer Show
Anyway, here’s a basic overview of what happened, at least as I saw it. Anyone is free to post this on a blog. Those participants who took photos will be asked to send them to the key blogs. We had six participants at the maximum. Four of us post on Scared Monkeys as follows: 10061906, NM, Elaine, and Richard. JusticeforNatalee and her husband dropped in; she had taken part in the “original” Boston protest, and we were all pleased that she joined us. None of the rest of us had ever met, but we all worked together effectively.
UPDATE: PICS FROM THE PA TRAVEL SHOW
Arrangements had been made with security, who gave us a place to stand near a main entrance to the convention center. This place had a huge parking lot, so it wasn’t like the Boston event, where everyone had to pass by us. As there was at least one other main entrance, a number of people might have not seen us. Also, the traffic pattern in the huge parking lot was chaotic at the best. Anyone who pulled over to take our pamphlets, read our signs, or to just take a look risked incurring an accident. I think that a post in front of an entrance would have been safer for everyone.
