NBC Nixes Salute and Thanks to US Troops During Holiday Season by Freedom’s Watch

NBC says no thanks to salute to US Troops, the very people that protect their rights of freedom of speech.

NBC shows their true colors and what they really think about the support of our US military. One would think that someone would be intelligent enough at NBC to see the message, not the messenger. However, not at liberal NBC where the liberal suits sit around at cocktail parties and hate all things they do not meet their liberal agenda … SHAME ON YOU!!!

NBC may say no to airing this ad; however, Scared Monkeys will always put forth and promote an ad that supports our brave men and women in the military that sacrifice for us every day.

To our military troops at home and around the world … THANK YOU, MERRY CHRISTMAS, HAPPY HANUKKAH AND GOD BLESS YOU EVERYONE.

CHECK OUT THE AD THAT NBC REFUSES TO RUN THANKING OUR BRAVE SOLDIERS

What is NBC thinking? The NBC Peacock has rejected a TV ad by Freedom’s Watch, “that asks viewers to remember and thank U.S. troops during the holiday season”. The reason being that the web site of Freedom’s Watch is too political? The ads are to run on CNN and Fox News Channel and are running in various newspapers including the New York Times. NBC, who is too political?

NBC, who every night has Keith Olbermann and Chis Matthews come on and spew their political rhetoric against President George W. Bush and the war, yet somehow Freedom’s Watch is too political. Its not that they are too political NBC as to why you will not run these ads … its that they do not agree with your politics. So much for freedom of speech and the differing of opinions on the air waves. Who is hurt in the end? OUR TROOPS!!! All because of NBC’s left wing agenda, they refuse to just have a “THANK YOU” to the men and women that protect NBC’s very right to have free speech.

CHECK OUT THE OTHER AD FROM FREEDOM’S WATCH THAT NBC REFUSES TO RUN

WASHINGTON (AP) – NBC has rejected a TV ad by Freedom’s Watch, a conservative group that supports administration policy in Iraq, that asks viewers to remember and thank U.S. troops during the holiday season.

NBC said it declined to air the ad because it refers to the group’s Web site, which the network said was too political, not because of the ad’s message.

“Anybody in the world who would look at this ad would come away with nothing other than we should be thankful for their service,” Freedom’s Watch president Brad Blakeman said.

Shame on you NBC that you would actually try and censor another media outlets content in order to fit your liberal agenda.

Freedom’s Watch President and CEO Bradley Blakeman told FOX on Friday that this is not the first time NBC has turned down his group’s ads and believes it has a specific objection to his group’s support for the War on Terror.

“NBC asked us to re-vamp our Web site. They wanted to censor us, and we said, ‘No we’re not going to be censored,’” Blakeman said, noting that the organization’s Web site points to more than 20 other non-profit Web sites where readers can thank and support troops.

They need to be thanked many times over, because our troops are fighting the war on terror in Iraq so that all of us don’t have to fight it at home. Shame on NBC and all bleeding heart liberals for undermining the efforts of men and women that defend the precious freedom that we take for granted.

      Nothing surprises me these days.

I have been trying to do something really special for the Jewish troops in Iraq and Afghanistan via my Judaic eCards website for the last seven weeks.

      NOTE: I am NOT discriminating
Say It With eCards / http://www.SayItWithEcards.com
      is Judaic themed.

While I did not contact the TV Media, I have been blocked by some websites, newspapers and email discussion lists as some think I am doing it for publicity… ONLY BECAUSE… my site is a commercial site. (I do not have the type of website where I can just build another page and do my good deed (Mitzvah) anonymously.)

Had I known I would have had such a challenge I would never have started this in the first place. I have better things to do with seven weeks of my valuable time than waste it. But since I did start it, I am committed. My ultimate goal was …AND IS… to SAY THANK YOU TO OUR TROOPS!

My mission is to re-connect our Jewish Troops in Iraq and Afghanistan with their loved ones, family, friends and business associates here at home “electronically” using my eCard website – Say It With eCards Judaic Greetings – as their method of communciation.

I am offering 100 Judaic eCards Club GIFT/Annual Memberships to our Troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

      The offer specific are here:

I emailed NBC yesterday, I got an auto response about how many emails they get per day, blah, blah, blah,

Correct me if I miss-understood, but this is a PAID ad?

Remember to support our troo[s, don’t forget the troops in Afganistan.

It especially doesn’t surprise me coming from NBC!

Our response should be easy….nix watching any NBC for a month, write to sponsors, threaten an Boycott. NBC will apologize so fast, Rudolph’s nose won’t stop blinking!

      Merry Christmas

it does not surprise. The three major networks are all anti american. I have not watched them since I got Dish Network. I would throw the TV in the DUMP before I watch them.

I see NBC has reversed their policy. Good for them. You don’t suppose it had anything to do with this being sent to several Marine organizations for both active and retired Marines, do you, lol!

Some of those guys can be pretty persuasive when they put their minds to it.

Do the right thing! Show gratitude for those who preserve all our Freedoms including Freedom of the Press, one of the most important of all and one for which NBC should be eternally grateful.

If not for our troops, they would be told what to print and when and this is the thanks they show!

They had a big change of heart today but keep in the back of your mind who does this kind of thing.

I couldn’t believe it when I heard it on FoxNews. Thank God that we have Dish and don’t have to watch NBC. NBC should be ashamed, but it’s not likely. Anyone who would refuse to support our troops is unamerican.

    9. NBC Does an About Face and Reverses Decision on Freedom’s Watch ads Thanking the Troops … | Scared Monkeys on December 9th, 2007 2:01 pm

[...] As was reported the other day, NBC had nixed a thank you message to our US military from Freedom’s Watch claiming that the orgaizations web site was too political. It now appears that NBC has reversed their decision and decided to air a conservative group’s television ad thanking U.S. troops. Thanks to all those on the internet and to those that voiced their opinions to NBC regarding their initial ridiculous decision. People can affect change. [...]

PTSD and traumatic brain injuries will I believe have far greater long time consequences for our nation than any other single problem. And as the number of veterans with serious adjustment problems as a result of these injuries becomes larger, the government will back off further and further from offering them proper care.. I did a blog where I argue that the support the troops efforts may be contributing to PTSD development. http://sezme.net/page66.html
