Republicans Now Trusted on All Key Political Issues Over Democrats
Heading into the 2010 midterm elections, American voters trust Republicans on top 10 key issues.
Ever wonder why Democrats are now fearful that the House has already bee lost? Maybe it’s because the American voters now trust Republicans over Democrats on all key political issues. On issues like the economy, immigration, health care, social security, taxes and national security the GOP is trusted more. In the wake of the Charlie Rangel and Maxine Waters ethics scandals, Republicans are now even trusted more than Democrats on the issue of ethics as well.
Issues: Education 40% (D) - 41% (R), Health Care 40% (D) – 48% (R) , Iraq war 40% (D) - 43% (R), Economy 39% (D) - 47% (R), Social Security (D) 38% – 44% (R), Government Ethics 38% (D) – 40% (R), National Security 37% (D) – 49% (R), Afghanistan war 36% (D) – 43% (R), Taxes 36% (D) - 52% (R) and Immigration 35% (D) - 44% (R ).
Voters now trust Republicans more than Democrats on all 10 of the important issues regularly tracked by Rasmussen Reports.
The GOP has consistently been trusted on most issues for months now, but in July they held the lead on only nine of the key issues.
Republicans lead Democrats 47% to 39% on the economy, which remains the most important issue to voters. Those numbers are nearly identical to those found in June. Republicans have held the advantage on the economy since May of last year.
More grim news for Democrats to run on in 2010, Barack Hussein Obama has a -17 Presidental Index rating. And the economy keeps getting worse, not better.

Barack Obama Falls to New Low in Gallup Job Approval Poll at 42%
Barack Hussein Obama’s job approval numbers keep falling … Gallup poll has Obama at new all time low of 42% approval and 49% disapproval. Just one year ago Obama had a 54% – 39% job approval. Keep in mind the 42% approval rating comes before Obama’s Friday comments regarding the mosque in NYC and his subsequent back-peddling on the issue over the weekend.
Obama is rated poorly by Americans on the major issues. Economy & jobs are rated as the top issues among Americans, Obama rates dismally.
- Economy: Approve 39% - Disapprove 59%
- Taxes: Approve 41% - Disapprove 54%
- Health Care: Approve 40% - Disapprove 57%
- Immigration: Approve 29% - Disapprove 62%
- Federal Budget: Approve 31% - Disapprove 64%
- Situation in Iraq: Approve 41% - Disapprove 53%
- Situation in Afghanistan: Approve 36% - Disapprove 57%
Obama’s average job approval rating at RCP is -5.2%. What will Obama’s mosque comments do to further destroy his job approval ratings.

International Rock Star President Barack Obama Now Seen as Incompetent and a Rank Amateur by the World
Hey Europe and the International community, how’s that Barack Obama “Hopey, Changey” stuff working out for you? It appears about the same as it is for Americans. 2012 cannot get here fast enough.
From Mort Zuckerman of US News & World Report comes this revelation regarding the “Chosen One,” Barack Hussein Obama … ‘World Sees Obama as Incompetent and Amateur’. You mean they are finally just noticing now? Let this be a lesson to America and the World, hype does not make experience, a leader or a President. It was not to long ago that Europe was rooting for a Barack Obama victory … my how The One’s image has fallen.
The reviews of Obama’s performance have been disappointing. He has seemed uncomfortable in the role of leading other nations, and often seems to suggest there is nothing special about America’s role in the world. The global community was puzzled over the pictures of Obama bowing to some of the world’s leaders and surprised by his gratuitous criticisms of and apologies for America’s foreign policy under the previous administration of George W. Bush. One Middle East authority, Fouad Ajami, pointed out that Obama seems unaware that it is bad form and even a great moral lapse to speak ill of one’s own tribe while in the lands of others.
Barack Obama’s apology tour is hardly the show of American Presidential strength that Europe and out allies were looking for. So in the end, the World did prefer a “cowboy” after all, eh? As Newsbusters reminds us, from top to bottom, the Obama Administration are legislators, not leaders and they lack the competence for the positions they hold. It is no coincidence that Obama is “Lost in Smallness” and unable to lead … he never has, why would any one have thought he suddenly could on the grandest scale?
The end result is that a critical mass of influential people in world affairs who once held high hopes for the president have begun to wonder whether they misjudged the man. They are no longer dazzled by his rock star personality and there is a sense that there is something amateurish and even incompetent about how Obama is managing U.S. power. For example, Obama has asserted that America is not at war with the Muslim world. The problem is that parts of the Muslim world are at war with America and the West.

President Barack Hussein Obama Takes Another Vacation & Skips Laying Wreath at Arlington National Cemetary on Memorial Day
Barack Hussein Obama … the Commander in Chief, eh?
When the going gets tough, the Obama get’s going … going on vacation that is.
There are wars going on in Iraq and Afghanistan, tensions are high with North Korea, nuclear escalation troubles in Iran and an oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico that could be a disaster beyond proportion to the states of Louisiana, Alabama and Florida. So what does Barack Hussein Obama do? Go on vacation of course to Chicago.
To Obama, this is more important that going to Arlington National Cemetery on Memorial Day
According to a White House official, the Obamas will arrive Thursday and stay until Monday, when Obama will participate in a Memorial Day ceremony at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood. The veterans’ cemetery is about 50 miles south of Chicago.
A top adviser to Obama, David Axelrod, recently took in a play at the Goodman Theatre about the civil rights movement, and that has some speculating that the Obamas will show up for “The Good Negro,” which is making its Chicago premiere.
However, what will Obama not be doing? The President of the United States of America while men and woman of the US Armed Forces are in harms way in Iraq and Afghanistan will not be going to Arlington National Cemetery and lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
This action by Obama is beyond unconscionable. I am glad to see that this President has his priorities in place.
But wait, know what Obama does have time for to attend? Obama will make it back to Washington, DC to honor Paul McCarthy for the sacrifices he has made to America and the preservation of our liberties and freedom.
America, how is that “Hopey, Changey” thing working out for you? We need to know nothing more about Obama’s character than his actions of being the Commander in Chief and not honoring the fallen heroes of the United States on Memorial Day … WHAT A DISGRACE.
I guess Chris Matthews was right about Obama and the military. Is it any wonder why Obama received little applause at this weekends commencement speech at West Point.

President Obama Presses for New World Order to Defeat Al Qaeda … Ronald Reagan Pressed for Greatness & the Praise of the Keepers of the Peace
One thing is true when it comes to Presidents … They are not created equal.
President Barack Hussein Obama spoke today at West Point, the United States Military Academy and gave the commencemnt speech. As Obama talked about a new world order to defeat threats to America … what stood out is he still could not call it terrorism. More at Hot Air.
“The war began only because our own cities and civilians were attacked by violent extremists who plotted from that distant place, and it continues only because that plotting persists to this day,” Obama said in prepared remarks at the military academy in upstate New York.
As Obama rambled on, with his attempt at a foreign policy speech rather than an commencement one I was reminded of past Presidents who have gave commencement speeches at the US Military Academy and the responses they received from the cadets and their families in the audience. If you saw the entire speech you would have noticed at times, golf claps would have been louder.
The full text of Obama speech can be read HERE.
Obama told the Cadets that we will win in Afghanistan, a much different tune from President Obama as compared to candidate Obama. The following was a rather interesting and peculiar comment seeing that when Barack Obama was in the US Senate, he hardly made President GWB’s task of conducting the Iraq war easy and criticized it at every opportunity, including not being in favor of the surge. Obama said today, “a lesser Army might have seen it’s spirit broken.” Thankfully, the US Military is more resilient than that and to no thanks from the likes of Democrat Senators or your bud Democrat Senate Majority leader Harry Reid who called the war lost.
For many years, our focus was on Iraq. And year after year, our troops faced a set of challenges there that were as daunting as they were complex. A lesser Army might have seen its spirit broken. But the American military is more resilient than that. Our troops adapted, they persisted, they partnered with coalition and Iraqi counterparts, and through their competence and creativity and courage, we are poised to end our combat mission in Iraq this summer
FLASH BACK IN TIME … Take a good look at how a real Commander in Chief addresses the West Point grads in 1981 and the message that he provides the Long Gray Line.
“Today you become officers in the Armed Forces of the United States, guardians of freedom, protectors of our heritage. But more than that, you become the keepers of the Peace. Those shrill voices that would have us believe that the defenders of our nation are some how the enemies of peace are as false as they are shrill.”
President Ronald Reagan reminded us all that government was of, for and by the poeple. Regan said, “Government began to grow beyond the consent of the governed.” Sound familiar? Reagan went on to say, “it’s growth was nourished by an ever larger share of the people’s earning that it took by taxation… At the same time the government neglected one of its prime responsibilities, national security as it engaged more and more in social experimentation.” Sound familar?
Ronald Reagan then uplifted America and the Corps with the following … “There is a spiritual revival going on in this country, a hunger on the part of the people to once again be proud of America. All that it is and all that it can be”. Hardly the apologies of our present President.
Take a good look how George W. Bush was welcomed at West Point in 2009, just a little bit different than Barack Hussein Obama. President GWB also provided the commencment speech at West Point in 2002.
It is telling, completely telling the difference in how Commander’s in Chief are received at military academies. Obama says good morning and no reply. Listen to the tepid clapping. It speaks volumes. The Cadets were respectful,
UPDATE I: From the Gateway Pundit … He also told the grads that America must stop “stepping outside the currents of international cooperation.”
When was the last time America “stepped outside of the currents of international cooperation”???
Is he talking about Iraq? Where America fought with a coalition of 49 countries? Where we still have forces serving? When exactly did America “step outside the currents of international cooperation” and fail?
