MSNBC’s Chris Matthews calls West Point … THE ENEMY CAMP.
Following President Barack Obama’s rather flat, weak and uninspired speech tonight on the Afghan war, Chris Matthews said the unthinkable. Matthews actually said that “He [Obama] went to maybe the enemy camp tonight to make his case.“
ENEMY CAMP!!! Are you kidding me? So this is what liberals in the MSM think our our fine military institutions like United States Military Academy at West Point, the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis and the United States Air Force Academy. They think that there very place that creates the leaders of the United States that defend their rights of Freedom of Speech, the enemy. Unreal.
You heard it from the liberal horses mouth. These people think that the military is the enemy. No Chrissy, if Barack Hussein Obama had given his speech in a Taliban or al-qaeda terror training facility, that would have been the enemy. Or so we guess.
The full comment from NewsBusters:
“I watched the cadets, they were young kids – men and women who were committed to serving their country professionally it must be said, as officers. And, I didn’t see much excitement. But among the older people there, I saw, if not resentment, skepticism. I didn’t see a lot of warmth in that crowd out there. The president chose to address tonight and I thought it was interesting. He went to maybe the enemy camp tonight to make his case.”
So our brave young men and women of West Point did not seem excited an others showed skepticism. Go figure. These people are trained to get results, they are trained to protect and serve the United States of America. They probably do not take kindly to being political pawns for a dithering President. Believe it or not Matthews, it’s not always about Barack Obama, even though the “I” President would find it hard to believe as well.
The brave young men and woman of West Point represent some of the best this country has to offer. They look for leadership from a Commander and Chief, not a ditherer. Respect is earned Mr. President, it does not come from words, a speech or a teleprompter.
Obama showed no conviction or certitude for this surge. A much different story than he did when he defrauded the American people during the 2008 Presidential election.
Why should the people at West Point have been excited, Obama phoned in this speech and it was as flat and weak a speech as this non-War President has ever made. Obama shows more glee and a hop in his step when he looks to promote socialism, higher taxes and government take over of health care than he did mustering the troops to inspire Victory in Afghanistan.
