Scared Monkeys at the Boston Travel Show Reminding Aruba and All … Justice for Natalee Holloway (Part I)

A special thank you from those at Scared Monkeys to the Monkeys who braved the snow, cold and elements in traveling to the Boston Travel Show to boycott Aruba and remind Aruba and others that this is about … Justice for Natalee. Rest assured … any time that Aruba is your sponsor at a trade show, Scared Monkeys will be there to provide the truth to unsuspecting people.

SCARED MONKEYS AT BOSTON TRAVEL SHOW

No Justice For Natalee … No Tourism for Aruba”

Scared Monkeys and those that care about the safety of travelers to Aruba and providing justice to those who have crimes committed against them will always be present and speak the truth. The following is from the Aruban tourism web page. That in red italics is closer to the truth interpretation.

Bonbini!

It means welcome. And here, you truly are. (It means enter at your own risk. And here, if you have a crime committed against you, Aruba is certain to cover it up and provide you with no justice.)

You’re welcome to dream. (You are welcome to spend your hard earned money.) Of endless sun and scenery. (Of actually leaving Aruba alive in the same manner you entered it). Of breathtaking blues and crystal clear ocean and white, sandy beaches. (Of having your body disposed of at sea or left on the beach at the Fisherman’s Huts). You’re welcome to plan the ideal family vacation or wedding or honeymoon or meeting or simple escape to a colorful world away from home. (If you are foolish enough to spend your hard earned money of a vacation in Aruba, we are certain to promise you the world and say no problem only to do nothing for you if “anything bad happens.”) You’re welcome to explore. (Take your own chances.) To make everything that’s ours yours. To find the perfect something, or nothing, to do. (Buyer beware … you to can have “Some thing bad happen”.)

Welcome to Aruba. This is our home. And we want to share it with you. (Enter at your own risk, we barely provide justice for our own citizens, for tourists we are certain to cover up and crime and never investigate, prosecute or provide justice for you.)

UPDATE I: Comments from Monkeys at Boston Trade Show

It would appear that some of the Boston Police did not like the fact that Scared Monkeys was attending the Boston Travel Show and using their 1st Amendment Rights. However, thank you to the Boston Port Authority Police for their fine work.

The expression on Rob Smith’s face (blue shirt and jacket in video) and the nervous look he has is priceless. Hey Rob, how’s it feel to spend all that money on marketing of Aruban tourism for nothing?

In a Post Natalee Holloway Aruba … Tourism is Still Down and not Close to What it Once Was

Going, going, going and still gone …

Aruba tourism is still an issue after the disappearance of Natalee Holloway in Aruba Tour for DumMay 2005. The Aruban tourism officials may want to go back to the very first story that Scared Monkeys ever wrote regarding missing Natalee Holloway, “This Can’t Be Good For Tourism, Where’s Natalee Holloway”.

For an Island paradise that prides itself on sandy beaches and a constant trade wind, the last thing they would want is bad publicity of an unsafe island. However, An Alabama high school student, Natalee Holloway, disappeared during her graduation trip to Aruba.

Think we did not know what we were talking about from the outset of this case and the subsequent actions and reactions of Aruban authorities? There are very few predictions that we have made and discussed with Natalee’s family that did not come to pass. Aruba is based on tourism and money and all else comes second. Natalee Holloway went missing in May of 2005 and Aruba is still feeling the effects of that event as they refuse to provide a competent and just investigation and prosecution of those they know to be involved. Aruba, do you think its about time you prosecute Joran Van der Sloot?

… compared to December 2006, the room occupancy of the hotels as well as the number of cruise passengers dropped in the same month in 2007.   Although the room occupancy of the hotels dropped in December …

Not only did the cruise passengers drop in December of 2007, but also the number of cruise ships that visited the island; with respectively 8.3 and 11.8 percent.  Over the entire 2007, the number of cruise passengers dropped to 481.775, 18.5 percent less than in 2006 and the number of cruise ships remained that same as in 2006

The fact that they tried to cover up a crime and think it was just going to go away will haunt Aruba for decades to come. Aruba can spend all the money they want on tourism consultant groups, it will never make an impact into the free publicity on the internet, TV and individuals choice to express their displeasure as to how the investigation was handled.

Aruba has always been vulnerable to tourism dependency which makes how they dealt with the Natalee Holloway case all that more bizarre. They just that Beth, Dave, Jug and the rest of us would go away.

Go away? Hardly … stay tune for reports from the Boston Travel Show this weekend as people are reminded by a grass roots effort that Natalee Holloway is still missing in Aruba and they have done nothing to provide “Justice for Natalee”.

Scared Monkey’s Welcomes Bill O’Reilly & Geraldo Rivera to the Fold as they Finally Embrace the Aruba Boycott and Date Rape in Natalee Holloway Disappearance

Greta and Bill finally see the Scared Monkeys light …

First it was Greta Van Susteren who came back on board with the right SM_LOGOminded logic and thinking of Scared Monkeys and now its Bill O’Reilly … Welcome aboard. Its about time that Bill O’Reilly has decided that he will be looking out for Natalee Holloway.

After all this time Fox New’s Bill O’Reilly finally gets on board with Scared Monkeys, the boycott of Aruba in the mishandling and corruption, and the date rape theory in the case of missing Natalee Holloway. After watching The Factor last night with Bill O’Reilly and Geraldo Rivera one would think that Bill O’Reilly had been reading Scared Monkeys.

So if she supposedly died in your arms, why didn’t you help her? What reason would there ever be for you to feel the need to dispose of a body if a crime was not committed against her? The answer, because there was one committed. No one’s first reaction is to dispose of a body unless they have something to hide like the use of date rape drugs, a sexual assault and further crimes against Natalee Holloway.

Bill O’Reilly initially supported a boycott of Aruba and then backed off the idea Bill O'Reillyas it would unfairly hurt the people of Aruba. Last night on the FACTOR, that all changed as Bill O’Reilly once again supported that no one go to Aruba until justice is served against Joran Van der Sloot.

I’m not going to Aruba until they do. I hope everyone around the world watching me says no to Aruba until the man gets in and gets on trial … Charge him, let the jury decide or no more Aruba and every decent person should feel the way that we do.

Bill O’Reilly seems to have come on board with Scared Monkeys with another key point, the use of a date rape drug on Natalee Holloway. O’Reilly has reversed his original comments that Natalee Holloway was on cocaine.

Natalee Holloway, the 18 year-old woman who disappeared two years ago in Aruba, died from cardiac arrest brought on by an overdose of cocaine. According to top law enforcement officials, Natalee ingested the cocaine with Joran van der Sloot and one of the Kalpoe brothers. Her body was then disposed of in the ocean. (O’Reilly Factor: July 19, 2007)

Joran VDS

(At first the media was inclined to believe him as they obviously trusted a not so trustworthy source)

Bill O’Reilly last night for the first time took a page from Scared Monkeys and adamantly promoted the idea that Joran Van der Sloot gave Natalee Holloway a date rape drug and that the reason why he disposed of the body was that Joran did not want an autopsy to find any signs of drugs, sexual assault. Geraldo Rivera even brings up the notion of physical violence committed against Natalee.

You know me, I don’t speculate okay, but I’ll tell you right now why he didn’t call the authorities or the EMS if the woman had a seizure and died, because he raped her, because they slipped some date rate drug inside and any kind of an autopsy would have seen the date rape drug, this guy had history of doing this kind of stuff, we know he prowled the casinos.

You’ve been down there Geraldo, you know what goes on there. They target the tourists, they take the tipsy girls and they do this and any kind of an autopsy, any kind of a medical examination would have shown what these guys did to Natalee Holloway

The O’Reilly FACTOR: February 15, 2008 (full transcript below)

Bill O’Reilly: As you many know, the villain Joran van der Sloot, who we believe was directly involved in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway almost 2 years ago, was caught on an undercover tape saying the woman died in his presence and the body was thrown into the ocean.

Now, some  believe the Aruban authorities have been covering up for van der Sloot. Joining us now from our New York studio, Geraldo Rivera. Do you believe that?

Joran Van der Sloot and OM Talk in the Netherlands … Oduber Only Worried About Aruban Ecomomy.

As the case of Joran Van der Sloot and his involvement in the disappearance Aruba Tour for Dumand death of Natalee Holloway heats up after the release of the Peter R. De Vries tapes, Aruba once again shows what’s important to them … their tourism. While plans are made for Hans Mos, the Aruban Public Prosecutor, to meet with Joran Van der Sloot in the Netherlands, the Prime Minister of Aruba, Nelson Oduber, and tourism officials are more intent on discussing tourism rather than the crime that happened on their island. As they tried to do from day one when Natalee Holloway went missing … they just want it all to go away.

For prime Minister Nelson Oduber, the Holloway-case cannot be over with fast enough.  He said in Nova that Aruba has already lost tens of millions American dollars in damages, due to the Natalee Holloway case.

Aruba and its police officials have some serious explaining to do as to why certain questions were asked in the beginning of the investigation with regards to Natalee Holloway having a history of seizures.

However, Aruban tourism officials continue to be in s state of denial when it comes to why their tourism went into the tank in 2005 and thereafter following the disappearance and handling of the Holloway case. There was no economic recession in 2005. As for oil prices, they have been higher following 2005. Aruba, if you don’t think that the way you handled the Natalee Holloway case had anything to do with your tourism drop, then I guess you will not mind when people continue to boycott your island until there is  … Justice for Natalee.

It appeared from a tourist inquiry that the Natalee Holloway-case was also not the most important factor for the tourism to drop in 2005.  The most important reasons were the oil prices, the economic recession, expensive airline tickets, fewer hotel rooms due to renovations (some hotels were even close), and hurricanes.  The effect of the Holloway-case was already to a smaller extent at that time.

Aruba Travel/Tourism & Legacy of Natalee Holloway: “I Would not step foot on the Dutch island” … The Voice of the People Boycotting Aruba

Below is a rather interesting editorial regarding Aruba and why one person Aruban Tourism Dummieschooses never to vacation there. This person states many reasons why they would not travel to Aruba. That is what Aruba has missed in this entire sorted event. No amount of marketing changes one’s opinion or perception. Few times does anyone get a second chance to make a first impression. Aruba has had many chances and failed miserably every time.

Being a victim of a crime or losing a loved one is bad enough. However, when the very island (Aruba) where one would spend their hard earned money on a vacation blame you for the disappearance of your loved one and treats a victim like a suspect , one should take pause to put that location at the top of the list of places never to travel to.

Aruba has been told over and over that the boycott on their island is like no other. It is not an official boycott declared by a country or a state. In many ways its worse. Its a grass roots movement done by John Q. Public, “We the People”. Aruba has become synonymous with missing persons stories, not because of the number of ones that occur but because of the manner in how they went about solving the disappearance of Natalee Holloway.  Hey Aruba, ever heard of Scotch Tape? Its not a product, it’s a brand … Aruba, you have been branded.

Editorial: Desire’e Larson, Fargo, Letter: Would not step foot on the Dutch island

In regards to The Forum’s travel section Jan. 20 on Aruba:

I am sorry to say that when I am looking for a place to vacation, it will not be Aruba/the Dutch island. Sure, it is warm and tropical but after the Natalee Holloway fiasco, I would not step foot in this country no matter how beautiful or warm it is.

Vanderbilt arubaNH

Aruba is one of the hot spots for human trafficking. Child prostitution in Aruba has increased in the past five years from 4,000 to 15,000 children. I would not feel safe taking my two teenage daughters to a country that does not care about children and does little to stop sex crimes involving children. (Legal Prostitution in Aruba and Escort Services advertised in  free Tourist news papers delivered to the hotels)

Aruba_Escort services

(Click on pic to enlarge)

This country wants to lower the age of youth/adult consent from 16 to 12 years old so pedophiles have even greater access to children. I realize that our own country as well as others exploit children; however, Aruba has chosen to look the other way. CNN reported that Aruba has a dark side,an island ruled by Colombian drugs  (And HERE) and Latin prostitutes.” (One might include mob ties as well)

“A magnificent washing-machine is sold here, its trademark is Aruba. The machine is an Aruban-Colombian product, its model called Cartel. The brand is well-known for its good performance in the United States and Europe. It is recommended by former ministers, members of Parliament, owners of casinos, supermarkets, cosmetics manufacturers and importers of cars and batteries. The washing-machine fits everybody who has become inexplicably rich from one day to another”.

Does this sound like a great place to vacation? Countless individuals such as the governor of Alabama and even Dr. Phil have chosen to boycott Aruba. Add my name to that list. Maybe if their tourism dollars suffer, they will look closer at their lack of human rights involving children. If you ever get a chance, watch the documentary, “Human Trafficking” on Lifetime.

I will be much more careful with my girls in foreign countries. Many girls in particular have been snatched while on vacation. I am not willing to take that chance by going to Aruba.
