Racism Comes in All Forms … Geraldine Ferraro’s Comments were deemed Racist … Maybe Obama would like to Explain Reverend Jeremiah Wright of Trinity United Church’s Comments

So if Geraldine Ferraro’s comments were deemed racist by the main stream Obama_REV_Wrightliberal media … what do they call this? The real question is why the LIBERAL media is not making more of an issue of a person so closely connected with Barack Obama. The liberal media love-fest and agenda continues for Obama.

“Mr Obama knows what it means living in a country and a culture that is controlled by rich, white people; Hillary would never know that, Hillary ain’t never been called a nigger”.

“God damn America!” (Reverend Jeremiah Wright)

Comments by former Democratic VP nominee Geraldine Ferraro were considered racists. Racists … no, stupid and childish … YES … however, they were also true.

“If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position. And if he was a woman he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept.” (NY Daily News)

For these comments, Geraldine Ferraro had to apologize and resign from the Hillary Clinton campaign. Obama’s campaign had a staffer resign because they called Hillary Clinton a MONSTER.

So if these people had to apologize, be condemned and resign … MAYBE THE CANDIDATE OF CHANGE, BARACK OBAMA, WOULD LIKE TO EXPLAIN THE HATEFUL AND RACIST COMMENTS FROM HIS PASTOR, REVEREND JEREMIAH WRIGHT.

The candidate of change better do more than just distance himself from Reverend Jeremiah Wright. This is what Barack Obama considers change? All these other people had to resign their posts when less damaging things were uttered, yet The Obama campaign says they have no plans to ask the Rev. Jeremiah Wright to step down from a campaign spiritual advisory committee.

Now you decide to distance yourself when its expedient for your campaign. Never in the past 20 years you did not think to do so? This is hardly the judgement when need from a potential president. You dare say that you are for all people when this is your spiritual advisor … Obama is not about change.

What is the change, reverse racism in place of racism?

Read more at The Dakota Voice. Watch more HERE, it was taped on Christmas Day.
One video shows Mr Wright speaking after 9/11. “We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans,” he said, “and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back to our own front yards.”

In another sermon he said that the Government “wants us to sing ‘God Bless America’ ” despite treating black people as second-class citizens. “No, no, no,” Mr Wright said, “God damn America!”

More recently, he has said that Mr Obama “knows what it means living in a country and a culture that is controlled by rich, white people; Hillary would never know that, Hillary ain’t never been called a nigger”. (Times on Line)

Some more great reading at:

What then does this say about Obama’s intelligence, perceptiveness and ability to lead a nation?
Here is a man he has had a close association with for 20 years… his friend, his mentor and the man who baptized his children.
And Barack Obama was completely unaware that this man is a raving lunatic.

How then will he fare as president, when he will have to gauge the true nature and intentions of foreign governments, our allies and our enemies?
How can we trust this man to make the right call, if he can’t even determine the true nature of a man who has been so close to him for over two decades?

Is Wright a “Death Blow” to Obama?

Imagine this 30 second ad, run heavily next October. I think it would be devastating among undecided and swing voters.
“What does Barack Obama really believe in? His spiritual teacher for 20 years has been Jeremiah Wright. Wright wedded Obama & his wife. Obama named his book from a sermon of Wright’s. [insert video of favorable comment about Wright by Obama]. What has Jeremiah Wright taught Obama? [Insert rabid clip of Wright capped by "God Damn America!! God Damn America!!"] We need a solid patriot to lead our nation. Someone we can trust. Vote John McCain 2008.”

Jeremiah Wright, Obama’s Pastor, Prompts Candidate To Address Comments

On My Faith and My Church

Who are you kidding Barack Obama? Change … what change? You cannot follow a church and a reverend for as long as you have and now suddenly say you disagree and condemn Revered Jeremiah Wright’s comments. YOU ARE NO CANDIDATE OF CHANGE. You are just another snake oil salesman wearing a different suit.

Let me say at the outset that I vehemently disagree and strongly condemn the statements that have been the subject of this controversy. I categorically denounce any statement that disparages our great country or serves to divide us from our allies. I also believe that words that degrade individuals have no place in our public dialogue, whether it’s on the campaign stump or in the pulpit. In sum, I reject outright the statements by Rev. Wright that are at issue.

UPDATE I: Jeremiah Wright Resigns from Obama’s Campaign

So the candidate of change has suddenly come to the realization that his reverend of over 20 years is a racist? Now he distances himself when it behoves his campaign? This is CHANGE? No wonder Michelle Obama made the comments that she did about never being proud of America.

“For the first time in my adult lifetime, I’m really proud of my country … not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change,” she said. “I have been desperate to see our country moving in that direction and just not feeling so alone in my frustration and disappointment.”

Jeremiah Wright is not like an old uncle. He is your reverend and your spiritual advisor. One can only imagine what the media would be saying if GWB had a racist and loose cannon as his spirutual advisor. You cannot suddenly just disavow what this man has said all these years just because you want to be president. YOU ARE A PHONY!!! Obama is not about change … he is just like every politician … trying to cover his ASS!!!

I have a feeling this move is NOT the end of the story. The issue all along has not been so much that Wright was with the campaign. This is about whether people feel comfortable with Obama now that they know he and his family went to a Church where this kind of offensive language was taking place. It goes right to the judgement issue. Was it wise for Obama to stay at the Church for all those years if he disagreed with many of the things his own pastor said? And if he doesn’t like language that tears others down, why put up with it for so long? These are legitimate questions.

Wright leaves Obama campaign

So the great candidate of change has a spiratual advisor who is a racist.

Imagine having that message in your ear for 20 years. No wonder Michelle Obama has made the past comments about America. It sounds just like the same from Rev Wright.

WAKE UP AMERICA … THIS IS HARDLY A CANDIDATE FOR ALL THE PEOPLE.

Racism comes in all forms and colors.

    2. Richard on March 14th, 2008 10:21 pm

How many advisers, and people of similar titles, are left on either side? At the rate that things are going, will everyone in each campaign (aside from the principals, of course) have to resign before the election for slanderous statements?

Maybe that would be all for the better ….

The Democrats certainly seem to be in their usual bloviate-and-self-destruct mode.

A question: if this sort of garbage is allowed to stand, and is taken as representative of what the influential black political community has to offer … then who can assail the ‘silent majority’ for voting against Obama for his apparent tacit toleration of such stuff?

Or is the epithet ‘racist’ applicable when, and only when, whites react in a certain way?

Needless to say, I don’t think this crap is typical. But for the ‘privileged elite,’ who push their minority status as far as they can (I recall one black making the comment about another black, ‘He’s trying to make a career out of being black’) where does the allegiance to the COMMON GOOD take precedence over all partisanship?

Because if it doesn’t … the American ideal is sunk.

I’m reminded of a quotation from Alexander Pope:

“The higher you climb, the more you shew your a–.”

Is anyone else perturbed that at this point in the campaign, the only … and I mean, THE ONLY … people who stick in the memory are the ones who are dismissed, fired, or commit crimes?

I wonder what Honest Abe is thinking as he sits there forlornly by the Potomac in Washington….

    5. Sherry on March 14th, 2008 11:02 pm

People are nuts…so many people dont understand why we have associated BO with his pastor. How crazy can you get? Barack and his family have MADE A CHOICE to go to this church for 12 or however many years and hear this type of racist crap from this guy that calls himself a minister.
Can you EVEN imagine having a president that shares the same beliefs as this minister and his church? Someone would have to be crazy…or feel the same way as Wright before they would vote for Obama.

    6. Sherry on March 14th, 2008 11:06 pm

One other thing that really gets under my skin is how the white people in this political party and media seem to want to ‘walk on glass’ for fear of seeming racist…they will not even call Barack out on issues because it may appear ‘racist’…but yet this pastor can FIERCELY comdemn all white people and America… and its suppose to be okay. I can never understand why racism seems to only want to go in one direction.

It sounds so strange to me for white people to talk about racism, much less claim to be a victim of it. You need to look beyond the store fronts in Mississippi and Alabama. Look at the rate of unemployment and the rate of people living under the poverty level to know that there IS racism in America, engrossed in our system, our culture and sometimes our way of thinking. I see nothing wrong with the oppressed singing praises to their Lord for Pride and Leadership; Humility and Responsibility.

Can you imagine if GWB had a religious advisor like Rev Wright?

Can you imagine what the media would be doing if John McCain’s spiritual advisor was of Rev Phelps of the Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, KS. The ones who protest soldiers funerals.

Do anyone honestly think that a white, Republican candidate would be able to distance themselves from a spiritual advisor who had been in their ear for 20 years.

This liberal media lovefest agenda with Obama must end and people need to wake the hell up. I am no Hillary fan, but this goes beyond any forms of decency.

Barack Obama is a fraud. He had no problem listening to this reverend for 20 years and the beliefs of this church.

Racism is not a one way street … cut the nonsense. Just because some one is black does not make them exempt of being questioned and held to the same standard as any other candidate.

No one is saying he cannot worship what he wants or listen to who he wants. I do not care if he worships a tiki idol. However, those decisions have consequences. He is a public figure and Obama damn well has questions to answer. The problem has been that the media has made him their obsession and refuses to say anything bad about their golden child.

Its not about the color of one’s skin, its about the content of one’s character … Right now I am questioning that character. Anyone who would associate with Rev Wright for 20 years should be questioned, especially if they claim to represent all people.

If Obama is the man he claims he is, he should have walked away from Wright and this Church years ago.

Rev. I’m sorry but this is crazy way to worship God. Rev Wright has twisted the bible to preach Hate of white men.

Since everyone follows the Natalee case … maybe Barack would like to answer this question?

What Does Barack Obama, Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr. & Trinity United Church of Christ Have against Natalee Holloway?

      http://scaredmonkeys.com/2007/08/09/what-does-barack-obama-rev-jeremiah-wright-jr-trinity-united-church-of-christ-have-against-natalee-holloway/

Maybe someone needs to ask Presidential wannbe Barack Obama et al why they have a problem with Natalee Holloway. What did she do to them? They claim to be Christian. Isn’t everyone God’s child … white, black and otherwise? Why would anyone associate with something that is so divisive when they would need the support of all people?

Wright on the disappearance of Natalee Holloway: “Black women are being raped daily in Africa. One white girl from Alabama gets drunk at a graduation trip to Aruba, goes off and gives it up while in a foreign country and that stays in the news for months.” (News Max)

Americans need to wake up. Obama says he’s an “agent of change.” Does anyone know what that means? A “change agent” is a term used in Soviet communist MIND CONTROL. Today, a change agent is more often referred to as a facilitator. The purpose of a change agent is to get everyone to compromise their standards and beliefs (standards coming from parents, Bible, traditional education, etc.) for the “common good” (a communist slogan). Are you prepared to compromise your beliefs so that homosexuals can have sex in a park? If not, then according to change agents like Obama, you are hateful and divisive and your unwillingness to change will prevent “world peace.” Obama, like all “change agents” (Marxists) wants you to give up all things that make you an individual in favor of “group think”, and the “common good.” He expects you to always be willing to compromise in order to find “common ground” with your enemies.

Richard, you think America’s ideal is to have an allegiance to the “common good?” America’s only allegiance should be to one nation under God. Allegiance to “common good” means we all compromise and we all go to Hell.

    18. brie on March 15th, 2008 1:21 am

Black women maybe raped daily in Africa, and I am sorry for that…..but Natalee was not in Africa….she was in a vacation spot in Aruba which claims to be an island of safety…Wright is a truly a hateful person…and Obama is not any different… the old phrase “Birds of a Feather”…

Why haven’t we heard from the media about Obama’s position on BAIPA, the Born Alive Infants Protection Act? Even pro-choicers wouldn’t fight this…except Obama and Michelle. The link gives an article that’s a quick and easy read, so read it!
      http://tinyurl.com/ydbkj8

“BAIPA sailed through the U.S. Senate by unanimous vote. Even Sens. Clinton, Kennedy and Kerry agreed a mother’s right to “choose” stopped at her baby’s delivery.

The bill also passed overwhelmingly in the House. NARAL went neutral on it. Abortion enthusiasts publicly agreed that fighting BAIPA would appear extreme. President Bush signed BAIPA into law in 2002.

But in Illinois, the state version of BAIPA repeatedly failed, thanks in large part to then-state Sen. Barack Obama. It only passed in 2005, after Obama left. “

      Rolling Stone magazine, 2007

      **On Obama and Wright-

…This is as openly radical a background as any significant American political figure has ever emerged from, as much Malcolm X as Martin Luther King Jr. Wright is not an incidental figure in Obama’s life, or his politics.

“If you want to understand where Barack gets his feeling and rhetoric from,” says the Rev. Jim Wallis, a leader of the religious left, “just look at Jeremiah Wright.”

“…When you read his autobiography, the surprising thing — for such a measured politician — is the depth of radical feeling that seeps through, the amount of Jeremiah Wright that’s packed in there.”

**Rolling Stone on Obama’s lack of experience and the public’s response to him-

“What Obama stands for, if anything, is not yet clear. Everywhere he goes he is greeted by thrilled crowds, trailed constantly by a reporter from The Chicago Tribune who is writing a book about the senator with a preliminary title so immodest that it embarrassed even Obama’s staff: The Savior. The danger here is that the public has committed the cardinal sin of political love, forcing Obama onto the national stage before knowing him well enough to gauge whether he’s ready for it. The candidate they see before them is their own creation — ”

**Rolling Stone on Obama’s voting record

“…since he arrived in the Senate, many of those who hoped Obama would become a great liberal champion have been disappointed. He has voted with conservatives on tort reform and industry-friendly provisions in the bankruptcy bill, and the troop-pullout bill he introduced in January was a late and unremarkable entry in the debate over Iraq.”

It is hard to believe that Obama did not know what was being preached in his own church, and that he was not so offended that he would be moved to change his church membership. Obama continued his member ship with Trinity Church and Jeremiah Wright Jr. for 20 years, in spite of what Wright Jr. was preaching. It is not credible to believe that during that time Obama was never privy to these type of sermons.

“That birds of a feather, flock together”. I doubt the nation is ready to entrust the leadership of the most powerful country in the world to an associate for 20 years of a pastor who could shout “God damn America” from the pulpit.

The same can be said for Rev. Moss III, the new pastor of Trinity Church after Rev. Wright retired. That was him jumping up to slap Rev. Wright on the back during his Clinton bashing sermon while he mimicked Bill Clinton doing Monica Lewinsky “dirty”.

What about the whole congregation cheering during these sermons? It is a like minded group of people, not exclusive to Rev. Wright. A group that Obama has been an integral part of.

Even his own wife has verbalized negative opinions of the United States of America. Can you imagine her as First Lady with that attitude?

Obama elected to continue his membership there, to have his marriage there, to have his children baptized there. And, most of all, why he chose to have Reverend Jeremiah Wright Jr. as his personal mentor. How much of what Reverend Jeremiah Wright Jr. believed really soaked into Obama’s psyche, in spite of what he says or denies? At the very least, Barack Obama should have terminated his membership in Trinity Church and moved to a church that was not racist and was not anti-American and anti-white.

Personally, I think Obama is not presidential, but let the electorate decide.

It will make no difference to the star-gazing liberals who worship at the shrine of Obama, but it very well may have decided some conservative democrats and independent/unaffiliated voters’ minds.

    25. SteveDinMD on March 15th, 2008 1:26 pm

Does anyone actually believe that Barack Obama is a religious man, let alone a Christian? His (absentee) father was a muslim. As for his mother, who raised him alone, Obama recently spoke about choosing the “faith of [his] mother,” but by most accounts his mother was an atheist, or at least an agnostic. It seems unlikely that Obama would come to any religious faith, let alone Christianity, given his upbringing.

People who knew Obama when he first came to Chicago depict his religious affiliation as a matter of political expediency. New in town, he was hoping to pursue a political career there, and tireless worked to introduce himself to the voters in various political and community settings. Much to his dismay, when introduced to someone, the first question the person almost always asked him was, “What church do you attend?” This surprised Obama given that he was raised outside of organized religion and educated in the liberal, atheist tradition. The political life of black America, however, centered around the church. If he was to represent that community, he first had to become a visible member of it.

It was against this political backdrop that Obama chose to join the congregation at the Trinity United Church of Christ. He specificly selected Trinity because it was among the largest and best known black churches in the City of Chicago. It was also, perhaps, the most politically active. Once a member in good standing, Obama would have a built-in constituency and have instant “street cred” within the wider black community. His connections to Trinity United, and Jeremiah Wright in particular, served Obama well in his Illinois political career, but things are very different now. 10 years ago, Obama was a typical “black politician,” and happily successful in that role. Obama smilingly listened to Jeremiah Wright spew hatred for 20 years becuase it furthered his local political ambitions. He couldn’t have imagined the present day, when he would be a leading candidate for President of the United States. To win the office he now seeks, he needs to represent ALL the people, not just some small, radical segment, and his political origins at Trinity United could well be his undoing in that regard.
