Barack Obama Poll Numbers Plummet in Wake of Reverend Wright’s Racist & Anti-American Comments

Barack Obama … from the Candidate of Change to the Candidate of Change the Subject.

Barack Obama can no longer lay claim that he is the candidate of change and Obama_REVrepresents a difference from the atypical politician. All that went by the way side when Barack Obama failed in his speech on race. Obama tried to explain way away the issue of why he stayed in a church where the pastor preached hate and racism and showed such an amazing lack of judgement in not dealing with such a divisive issue sooner.

Obama’s speech on race fell flat, especially when one goes back and reads the excuses and comparisons that he used to explain away the Reverend Wright’s comments and his association. Read Frank Luntz breaks down of Obama’s speech HERE.

To compare what Geraldine Ferraro said to Wright’s over the top comments was ridiculous. As Frank Luntz said, “But there is a greater crime and a smaller crime. This is the difference between a mass murderer and someone who stole a pack of gum out of a five-and-dime store”. What bordered on disgusting was that Obama stated that he could not disown Wright or throw him under the bus because that would be like disowning the black community, “I can no more disown him than I can disown the black community. I can no more disown him than I can disown my white grandmother, a woman who helped raise me, a woman who sacrificed again and again for me …” Yes Obama had no problem throwing his white grandmother under the bus all but insinuating that some little old ladies private comments to her grandson were some how the same as the ones of Reverend Wright in the video below.

(Or Watch this VIDEO as racism and anti-Americanism comes is all colors)

Watch Newt Gingrich on Hannity & Colmes discuss Obama’s lack of judgement.

Distancing one’s self from a pastor’s hateful and anti-American comments while at the same time making excuses and pathetic comparisons is far from dealing with OBAMAGATE III and in many cases a death nail in the political aspirations of Obama. However one thing is for certain, Barack Obama can never again be called the anti-politician as his speech on race came far too late in the game and was nothing more than a typical politicians save your A$$ speech in the wake of Reverend Wright’s outrageous comments. Another thing became very evident regarding Obama … he lied and had spun the story and his knowledge of what Reverend Wright had said in the past. Why do such a thing? Because Obama is no Uniter or special saviour to America as the MSM would have you believe. Obama is just another politician that will lie, cheat and steal to get elected.

His initial reaction to the initial ABC News broadcast of Rev. Wright’s sermons denouncing the U.S. was that he had never heard his pastor of 20 years make any comments that were anti-U.S. until the tape was played on air.

But yesterday, he told a different story.

“Did I ever hear him make remarks that could be considered controversial while I sat in church? Yes,” he said in his speech yesterday in Philadelphia.

Obama did not say what he heard that he considered “controversial,” and the campaign has yet to answer repeated requests for dates on which the senator attended Rev. Wright’s sermons over the last 20 years. (ABC News)

As Stop the ACLU states, its not just about Reverend Wright, “Hey Media: Lets Take a Look At Obama’s Other Radical Friends”. Wright is just the tip of the iceberg.

Obama_clinton_CNN

Barack Obama is now just another politician who is trying to spin a story that affects his political candidacy. Obama has claimed he was a man of all races. One really must question what is at the heart of Obama’s campaign. It appears that many are when one starts to look at the polls. The Gallup Poll shows that Hillary Clinton have moved in front of Barack Obama 49% to 42%. Since March 9, 2008 Clinton has gained 4 points while Obama has lost 7. Think the Obama camp is not troubled over the recent affiliation that Obama has with the Reverend Wright? A recent Rasmussen poll showed that 8% of Americans had a favorable opinion of Reverend Jeremiah Wright.

Seventy-three percent (73%) of voters say that Wright’s comments are racially divisive. That opinion is held by 77% of White voters and 58% of African-American voters. In addressing the issue, Obama warned against injecting race into the campaign .

Most voters, 56%, said Wright’s comments made them less likely to vote for Obama. That figure includes 44% of Democrats. Just 11% of voters say they are more likely to vote for Obama because of Wright’s comments.

The Rasmussen Poll also shows that Obama’s numbers are down drastically from 52% to 47% since Reverend Wright’s comments became a made for TV and You Tube movie. Get ready for a swing in the polls as America has been slapped in the face with a dose of reality. No liberal news media in bed with Obama can spin this one, although try as they may. The Reverend Wright’s comments are there for all to see and Barack Obama tries to explain to the American voting public that it was his good judgement to just sit by and do nothing.

Wait it gets even better for Team Obama. Just when Obama tries to get beyond the racist and hate filled words of Reverend Wright, along comes the New Black Panthers. Today Barack Obama received the endorsement of The New Black Panthers. The Obama camp was quick to reject the endorsement; however, it just makes Americans pause and ask more questions about Obama. As Michelle Malkin states maybe the “CHANGE” that Obama was so publically known for saying meant … Let’s Change the subject.”

Paul: just for the record, Hillary Clinton HAS been caught in as many lies as Barack Obama. She’s got her own problems with the release of 11,000 pages of her schedule showing she wasn’t where she claimed when she was touting all that “experience” she has.

Bill and Hill are the poster children for liars.

    9. SUPER DAVE on March 20th, 2008 9:47 am

the panthers and the klan are just alike in their hate. the reason that the chicago police took down the panthers so easily is that the panthers fought amongst themselves for power and greed was their downfall. to be backed by any one of these two factions will not do your run for presidency any favors.
i predict obuma will go down the tubes.

The idea of the civil rights movement, which came to a culmination in the 1960s, was that everyone deserves equal treatment. The goal was to erase distinctions based on race, sex, etc., and to allow everyone equal opportunity.

If many groups seem to endorse Barack Obama BECAUSE of his race (and that’s an ‘if’), then the goals of the civil rights movement of the 1960s have been overturned. The whole thing degenerates into a power struggle … who has the might, has the right.

Nobody would say, ‘Vote for Clinton, McCain,’ etc. simply BECAUSE they are white. Nobody would say that Hillary Clinton deserves to be elected president BECAUSE she is a woman (well, I may be naive there!).

So why the double standard? Why is it tolerated?

And why do the media give Obama the moral high ground to start with … is he wonderful simply because he says “I want change”? Who doesn’t?

Part of the problem is that media coverage is no longer objective, and basically has degenerated to what will best go with TV images. Background? Research? Historical scope? Forget it … instant analysis and predictions are what “news” is about today. Oh, yes, and making trends … once Hillary Clinton was upset in the primaries that the media had said she would sin, then the media all had to jump on board the Obama campaign. Now it may be going the other way.

We the American people are the losers.

barack claims that he couldn’t “disown” wright because of his views & gave him the same status as a relative. how many of us have asked relatives not to make racist comments in front of our children? isn’t barack enough of a man to do this? instead he sat his children in the pews year after year to be indoctrinated with this kind of hate.

      inexcusable.

    13. voice of reason on March 20th, 2008 4:14 pm

I think the speech was great, it addresses all the problems of race in this nation, obama wasnt trying to excuse his pastor’s comments he was trying to make us focus on the issues before us and not on the media circus

    14. txchic on March 20th, 2008 4:37 pm

#13 the speech may be great but it doesn’t excuse raising children in a church where this hate was spewed from the minister.

imo wright’s comments may have cost the 1st african-american to get this far, the white house. as sad as it is, sharton, jackson & crew refuse to condemn wright’s comments.

It’s pretty funny to stop in here and watch everyone rail about the “lies” of Obama and the Clintons, when we have never seen such lies as we have gotten from the Bush/Cheney admin… lies about WMDs to send OUR sons and daughters, mothers and fathers, to WAR to be KILLED and MAIMED so the Bush admin could get control of ME oil and make money in no-bid contracts to repair what they blow up. THAT is just ONE lie. But as long as it’s the Republicans doing the lying — even if it’s KILLING PEOPLE — everything is just fine! Pulleeeze! And you think anyone but the media gives a darn if some jerk preacher that Obama knows is a racist? That’s not even worth discussing … I’m sure he knows many racists… just as I’m sure many people HERE know white racists. Racism is a reality. This war did not have to be a reality, but Bush MADE it one.

Way to keep your eyes on the ball, guys!

I am not a black or white. I am an Asian. First of all, Mr. Obama is not a seperatist, he has been kind to every one (based on his profile) last 20 years, he is a living senator, Rev. Wright has not dictated Mr. Obama’s life, he is not his political advisor. Fox claims that he is in association Mr. Wright for the last 20 years, hmmm, how come we have not seen Mr. Obama talking or acting like Mr. Wright. Because Obama is not Mr. Wright, he is not influenced in anyways. Some times I think though our country is developed nation, 35% of the people quick judgmental which helps channels like FOX, GOP, or Dem’s anybody for that matter to brain wash the average John & Joe… Fox successfully created the friction between black and white. I doubt Fox commentator did not realize how bad they created the friction between black and white just for their candidate to Win. This is a cheap politics.

How Fox manipulated the words, sentence because they wanted their candidate to win. Fox is a racist channel.

So right, Nathan (#18), although I wouldn’t call Fox racists so much as right-wingers (although rascism does figure into that group as its base is old, rich white men who want to _keep_ controling of this nation). Men like the owner of Fox, Rupert Murdoch, who also owns News Corp that owns half the media outlets in the world, from newspapers to networks to magazines… all of them pushing the same right-wing agenda. And the more popular Obama becomes, the more fear mongering they will engage in…

If Obama can get Americans to base the election on racism,
then it will take their attention off the fact that he has no experience,
      no credentials, and no issues.
