It is being reported that Anna Nicole Smith has sold the last known pictures of her son to the tabloids. Get this … and the reason is … in order to pay for his funeral expenses. RIGHT, sure it was.
Distraught former Playboy Playmate ANNA NICOLE SMITH was forced to sell photos of her son DANIEL taken the night before he died in order to pay for his funeral expenses. The family portraits were taken in a hospital room in the Bahamas two days after the birth of Anna Nicole’s daughter and hours before her 20-year-old son was found dead.
Forced to sell? What this woman has no money? How much does a funeral cost these days? This actually goes beyond tasteless even for Anna Nicole Smith.
Photo agency Getty Images sold the photos to US publication In Touch for $400,000 (GBP222,000) after a fierce bidding war.
a source tells American publication Us Weekly that the devastated star sold the pictures in order to pay for her son’s funeral. The source says, “She needs the money.” (Contact Music)

What planet do these media people live on? The editor thinks that releasing the pictures will make people have sympathy for the family? WRONG. How about utter disgust and contempt?
These brand new pictures were obtained by In Touch Weekly. A senior editor at that magazine, Jarett Wieselman, is with me now.
And those pictures are so touching and now that we’re getting word there was no homicide nor suicide, maybe people will start to have sympathy for this family. Often many were coming out criticizing them.

I have always considered Anna as trash…..I am sorry her Son died, but this does not change what she is. She is trash, always will be……imho. GAG!
Very sad. This woman is living in an estate in the Bahamas and she needs money? Give me a break! She might try living like an “average” American and then her son could have his funeral and not have to appear on magazine covers after his death. Anna Nicole has always had a couple of screws loose; sounds like the number has just increased.
WELL WHEN YOU READ THE FULL ARTICLE…it says that proceeds or part of them goes to a charity fund in Daniels name…so I will wait for all the details on this to come forth…cannot imagine she did not have money to bury her son since her accommocations must have cost a bundle prior to babies birth staying where she did.

Sad, why would Anna want to share those memories with anyone other than her family. I can understand her wanting people to see Daniel as he was ok and normal, but I would think she would want to keep that sacred.
She could of sold her story and kept the pictures private.
I would think if she wanted to have money for a charity, she could have directed in lei of flowers send donations to.
Man, I don’t know about this ONLY because her state of mind has to be worse than it ever has been in her life…and her state of mind has had me wondering about her since I first heard her open her mouth to speak.
Honestly, some of these “stars” spend more than they make, and it is possible she was offered the place to stay for free as an advertisement of sorts for the resort.
IF it is true she only did this for money, then shame on her. But this may also be a twisted attempt, that she sees as OK in her “mind”…to show him off for one last time.
A truly weird way to comfort ones self, and I hope that is all it is!! Otherwise, I WILL have to agree 100% with the rest of you on this matter.

I would hope so. It crossed my mind that she is letting him handle all decision making at this time, but that is nothing more than speculation on my part.
It does appear she is very, close with her attorney as he attempted to revive Anna’s son along with her. It had to be a terrible moment for both. Maybe neither one are thinking clearly. I do hope that is all it is.
You know? As it’s already been mentioned, Anna’s son was the only stable man in her life. Certainly the only one who could love her for who she was inside, not outside. He seemed to accept her odd ways. And I do notice he’d never complained or bad mouthed her. Sad no matter how you look at it. I have a son (& daughter) that I love dearly. I can’t imagine finding them unresponsive and trying to bring them back to life….especially after the doctors give up. God have mercy on that poor, messed up lady!!

Brenda I agree, when you greive sometimes you are not thinking properly, but a lawyer should be able to be the professional and disconnect.
My opinion is Howard is behind this. What does the K stand for?
I don’t know what the “K” stand for. You are probably right though about him making this decision…and the fact he should be able to disconnect.
Then again, he is a lawyer and it’s often all about $$$. Could he have received a cut in the money received for the pictures? Hope not!

You KNOW I LOVE you, your Wife and this Blog!!! Although I am like Klaas..ok..maybe not the opposite side of the spectrum politically…but at least in the middle, I have always respected your opinion.
What bothers me here is…we have seen 1st hand all of the critism of Beth and how she handled the loss of her daughter…and to our DYING DAYS!!!! we will speak for Beth and her family. We have SCREAMED AND BLOGGED until our voices and fingers were no longer capable of screaming or typing anymore in defense of Natalee and her family. We have spent ENDLESS NIGHTS just trying to somehow comprehend…what Natalees’s family is going through and how a website could be established…and you know what one I am talking about…how there could be enough people that are so far off in their views of what transpired the night Natalee dissapeared…and so uncompassionate to Natalee’s familys’ pain and frustration…that for many of us…we have had for the 1st time in our lives..had to come to the realization that…the concept of “true evil!!!” really exists!!
I have to tell you Red…liberal that I am…until Natalee’s dissapearence…AND the death of Jennifer Moore, who also touched my heart and soul deeply!!! and of Nick Berg..another case I followed closely…I truely believed in the inherent goodness of all!! I know I know…typical liberal..haha…but it’s also the same mindset I think..that keeps Klaas doing what she keeps doing!! Our Faith in human nature…in justice… AND…and in the belief of the inherent goodness in mankind!! I don’t want to speak for Klaas…all I know..is she has a faith SO DEEP!!! in SOMETHING GOOD!!! that she keeps going and going and putting up with our petty arguments and just has the faith of a mustard seed!!! she just never stops..nor is she ever discouraged!!! My point is…lol…and I am serious here….is that we DON’T for the most part…know what it is like to lose a child..THANK GOD!!! And that is truely a prayer!! WE DON’T KNOW what it would be like to lose a child AND be in the public’s scrutiny!!! We just don’t know. I DO KNOW!!! Many criticized Dave’s book…but those of us who know the family…know it would have been published with or without Dave…and that he chose to do it His way…and in honor of his relationship with Natalee.
I don’t know what it is like to be Anna Nicole…I really don’t!! But I know for sure…she revered and adored her son…and that the feelings were mutual!!! Same way I feel about my own son!! I know through Beth’s experience…that people can take the best of intentions…and turn them into something suspect. Maybe…just maybe…she was like Beth…and chose to take an offensive stance…and KNEW the pictures would come out anyway…but at least THIS WAY…she knew she would have some kind of control over his last images.

Anna Nicole had already given rights to print pictures of her and her new baby to the magazines BEFORE THE CHILD WAS EVEN BORN!! She did not “SELL THE PICTURES OF HER DEAD SON!” The agreement was made BEFORE her son died, and even BEFORE she gave birth!!!

Anna had pre-signed a contract to have pictures taken of her new born baby girl. The pictures of all three, baby, Anna and Daniel were sold. This was the signed contract she had and stated that part of this money would now be set up as a charity fund in rememberance of her son Daniel.
I think the public needs to cool it before spewing out all it’s hatred…need to get all of the facts out on the table.
talk about kicking someone while they’re down. i think “in touch” magazine is not exactly a reliable source. some of the crap they come up with is worse than the enquirer. i feel terrible for anna nicole. she obviously loved her son and he clearly loved her, so that’s all that matters. she may have wanted to make his last pictures public because while they are tragic, they are beautiful too. when my brother was killed in 2001, my mother was like a completely different person for a VERY long time. even though i lost my brother that i loved so much, i couldn’t fathom my mom’s pain. so i don’t think it’s ok to say horrible things about anna nicole.
I feel for Anna Nicole and I am so glad that she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, named, Hannah Rose. I just think its strange how her son went over to visit his Mom and see the baby, and BAM, the next morning he is dead. Who killed him? If she has no money, who pays her attorney, HOWARD K. STERN? Somebody must pay for his work, and what about KIM? Her name has not been mentioned at all during this entire trauma, and if Anna Nicole does not have any money, why did she just recently buy a home in the BAHAMAS??? This is what the IN TOUCH magazine said. I believe she has money, but she should advertise for her sons friends and whoever wants to send donations, or even flowers, as if she really loves her son, like she did. She is quite a heartless person in a way, as here I read an article about Larry Birkhead, who is the baby’s daddy, and she does not want NOTHING to do with him, and this is so strange. Why the hell she is not letting him see his daughter, as THEY BOTH MADE HER, NOT JUST ANNA…. It is not right, so Larry should go fight for his rights, to see his poor little precious daughter…. Go for it Larry, and maybe Anna will let you get her PG again, and I hope Howard K. Stern does not mind…. That all sounds funny…. Oh well, I hope Surgar Pie is okay over all this. Anna Nicole is a beautiful and gorgeous girl, but she should let her poor Mother and family come to the funeral, as afterall, her Mother took care of Daniel until Anna got her life together, and became famous. Hi all. Yup…the contract was signed in advance. From what I saw on the news, the pics were taken as soon as her son arrived and handed over to the mag that day.
I also say Anna’s sister on the news. What a venomous BI{{edit))!!!! No WONDER Anna stays away from that miserable bunch. The “sister” had nothing but bad things to say about Anna. Kicked her while down.
Anna is actually a human being like us. For those who are into name-calling…just keep in mind it takes one to know one.

I think Anna is being exploited by others, as she always has been. If you read all the stories, there are no consistencies, all different stories.
After seeing her “sister” and the father (supposed) of her child in separate TV interviews, I can fully understand why she keeps away from that miserable bunch.
If the man that claims to be the father of her child was worth a crap (I need to remember to keep it clean…I got edited in the last post) he would not be on national TV openly questioning her ability to raise her daughter only a couple of days after her son’s death. What a piece of work.
I hope she keeps miles from him forever. She is treated like an ice cream sunday by all who are “feeding” off of her. I see her as a modern day Marilyn Monroe. She is actually not completely stupid. I watched a video where she was being VERY serious about how she was supposed to “carry herself” in a video ad. Yet once in front of the camera she became another person…really…the one we see in the silly video clips. I was rather surprised. After the shoot, she went back to analyze and make sure it was what the director wanted in a professional manner.
Just like Marilyn…men want their women sexy, stupid, and horny (can I say that?). I hope she does find a man who truly loves her one day. Good luck!

Hooray! She actually appears to have found a man who really loves her! Anyone see Howard K. Stern on Larry King last night? What a direct, and obviously honest guy. He could look into the camera and spoke clearly, decisively, and directly. I was happy to find out about their relationship. He, Anna, and Daniel considered themselves family. (Along with the new baby of course.)
He did mention that coming into the open and being honest would eliminate the rumours and media frenzy. A lawyer would know…
Also I read a day or two ago that he said Anna had decided to release the pictures early to keep paparazzi away. Good thinking on their part.

I think all these hateful people should put their stinky feet, both of them in their mouth. Anna had sold those photos before even the baby was born, and what is so strange about the son just dying in her room? My husband died in my bed, next to me of a heart attack,fortunately I could hear his gasps for air before he died and he died in my arms. Anna had just given birth, she was a tired Mom, and I am sure she does not need money that bad to have to sell those photos after the fact.
People are so jealous, full of green envy, she is who she is and that is what made her famous, you people are nothing but venom people, a mother just lost her son in that manner, has a newborn baby, her family is a disgrace maybe because Anna does not share her fortune with them, they are probable wanna be leaches.

You people need to get a life. Anna Nicole Smith is human just as you and I are. We ALL make mistakes. NO ONE IS PERFECT. Her life and misfortunes are just published. I wish nothing but the best for this LADY. I wish nothing but the best for her, Danielynn and her companion. I pray things will get better for her. I bet if YOUR life was as puclic as her, peiole would be doing you as well. Give the lady a break. There are worse people in this world who do a lot of things FAR WORSE than she has done, you just dont hear about because they are not rich and famous.
