SECURITY GUARDS RELEASED TONIGHT: DEPAK TO JONES – WE NEVER WENT BACK TO HOLIDAY INN

Jones11:02 AM

The Two Aruban Security Guards Mickey John, 30, and Abraham Jones, 28 are to be released tonight according to an interview with one of their lawyers on TOP 95.

Jones is out now, Mickey John is due out in a little bit

This is a great thing as it shows the case is moving forward and these men do have their freedom.

The real story is that Jones got one of the three suspects to talk to him and admit they never went to the Holiday Inn after they left with Natalee. Depak told jones that they went to the lighthouse and then dropped Joran and Natalee near the Marriot, and then the brothers went home. WOW! 11:25

 Jones says

  • ” Day 1 I knew I was innocent”
  • “Never saw Natalie before”
  •  ” Suing is undecided”
  •  ”Talk to Depak in . Interviewing him in the cell”
  • ” Holiday Inn Story all made up, never brought her back to Holiday inn” ”
  • “Went to Lighthouse. Dropped him and nat near Marriot”
  • “Very Very Drunk Under the heavy influence of alcohol . Left lighthouse at 230″
  • Whole Mickey Mouse Game” Dectectives apologized to him”
  • “Left Carlos and Charlies and went to the lighthouse and then droped Joran and Natalee at the Marriot”
  • Depak went online and talked to him (Dutch Boy) on cell phone and chat online
  • “I was smarter than him. “ He got Depak to trust him
  • Arrested for being black.
  • Concerning the missing girl.
  • Interview in English and made him write statement in dutch I need full apology from the Aruban and Dutch Government.
  • Status in Depak in Cell , Looked very calm,

  • Mother mad as heck about the son being arrested in the morning and very rude to his mother.
  • Let go at night like a thief. # hours looking for my son…
  • 3 hours did not know where he is. “
  • You are not allowed to see him, you are not allowed to talk to him. (Tom : Joran’s mother was there with Johan)
  • “This is discrimination, they dragged my son out in public, while the whites got to cover themselves. “

UPDATE: FOX GETS STORY UP AT 12:00 . AP Gets story up at 11:18 Blogs beat the MSM hands down ! AP

Prosecutors on Monday released two former hotel security guards who were the first men detained in the disappearance of an Alabama honors student, the day after the girl’s missing mother said they were innocent. Three young men who took 18-year-old Natalee Holloway to a beach early in the morning hours before she went missing on May 30 remain in custody. “I’m very happy but also disappointed,” Antonius “Mickey” John told The Associated Press by telephone of his detention since June 5. “I knew from day one that I was innocent.” He spoke from the home of his lawyer, Noraina Pietersz, who said the release of John, 30, and Abraham Jones, 28, came before a judge reviewed a motion for release filed Monday

this is what i think happened:
While Joran and Natalie are drunk as skunks, the 2 brothers, instead of taking them home-probably said they were willing to take them home, took them to a far away location to get a piece of the action. However, she refused to get out of the car. So.. the brothers took Joran home first, than took off with Natalie. The rest you can figure out by yourselves.

    10. Slice on June 14th, 2005 2:29 am

I think something completely different happened, but I won’t post it because I believe it’s a waste of time to post speculative thoughts…. But I CAN say that I doubt Joran would let them drop him off at home IF he was “getting so much action”. Don’t you?

    11. Jerry on June 14th, 2005 7:51 am

Hey everyone just looking to see if any new developments, looks good ,hope someone talks soon and says what happened Natalie. And also they continue to hold these kids until she is found. Can they be held on suspecion of murder or obstruction of justice. I hope so? Bye all!

    12. Maria Perryman on June 14th, 2005 9:50 am

First this is trageic. The boys say the took her to the light house arashi beach which is not far from Orangestad. and that they dropped her of @ 230 am. if anything were to have happened at the lighthouse clues would have been left there as we all know . dna is everywhere.the light house is in the middle of the beach. hard for anyone to burry a body. I believe she indead was with these young men and were drinking. Minors have no control over alcohol and one thing can lead to another. They need to stop combing hte Beach and look at the toher surrounding areas of Arashi beach. and really dig in to time. and how far is arashi from the hotel could they possbily get ther at that time and back ect. also look at other possible areas where she might have been left astray.
I indeed a body is to be submerge or thrown at see it may take days or week to discover. if the animal life did not capture her first.
Something terrible happen to this child and they children may Know and are scared. maybe it was an accident . none the less the need to confess. THe parent of the said alleged also need to be a man and not use his hight status to cover the mishapps of his child.they need to look at COVES. CLIFF, ROCKS. DUNES ect
really good. and other surrounding but not as busy areas. I am looking at my maps of Aruba and possible place that a body can be Disposed of. i will come with clues and ideas.
My only concern a parent to leave a teeneager with 7 chaperon to a foreighn island knowing this island drinking laws are differet alone with 124 other children is not in hte best interest. Children will be children Natalie NEw she should nothave bee drinking. but as any child they do what they please. And what was she doing out in the early morning hours.. She should have been sleeping .. .My Point. NOT ENUFF SUPERVISION . There should have benn a chaperon in every room with these teenager. It could have happen to anyone of the other 124 student. But it happend to Natalie.. Natalie is indead everyone Daughter because some of us have children and can see potentioa danger in leaving a child on long field trip wiht minimal supervision.
REMEMBER THE LORD OF THE FLYS>> MOVIE about children left on an island who lost total control and reasoning.

    13. Jake on June 14th, 2005 10:08 am

      Does anyone know:

If the people of Aruba feel as confident as us here in the US that the security guards are innocent, and that the 3 men that were last seen with NH are the guilty ones?

    14. BL on June 14th, 2005 10:15 am

Everyday I feel sicker and sicker about this. This could have happened to any girl in Aruba. Based on Jones’s recollection of events, I am very doubtful Natalee is alive. But if what Jones got Depak to say is true, then the two boys didn’t have anything to do with it, and it was just Natalee with the judge’s son. Something about this STILL doesn’t add up. If he was “getting action” he would have no reason to KILL her….or even rape her. I don’t know, I have a feeling Jones may have been lied to – actually Depak may be smarter than Jones thinks. Now the whole world thinks that Depak was telling the truth, when really, that may have been a strategic move on his part.

    15. I'm a Hater on June 14th, 2005 10:42 am

I am back by popular demand-
First off I am still for boycotting Aruba. The prime minister’s wishes came true and the Micheal Jackson verdict took off most of the attention from their screwed up investigation. It sounds like the FBI and the Holloway family are frustrated with how inept these Aruban investigators are. As I always said these guys are corrupt and incompetent. All they care about is the money flowing in from the tourists and drug runners. Every time the prime minister talks he makes a token plea to find Natalee and then pleads emphatically that his country is safe and that tourists should continue to flock down to Aruba. Please do not support this corrupt Aruban government. The only way they will continue to put forth any effort is if they get pressure from the US. Everyone needs to call for a call to BOYCOTT ARUBA!!!

As for the blood evidence, I know the tests came back saying it was not actually blood. Does anyone know if they could have put some chemical into a blood stain to make a blood test turn negative?

    16. Jake on June 14th, 2005 10:56 am

This is in Today’s newspaper here in Miami: No wonder this investigation is going so slow! The FBI seems to only be able to “observe” the Aruban investigation!!!! Read below:

Highly-trained agents from Miami’s FBI office have been in Aruba for two weeks, but are playing a limited role in the search for Natalee Holloway, the missing Alabama woman whose case has drawn international media attention.

That’s because the agents from the top federal investigative agency have been invited on the Dutch Caribbean island only as observers. Local authorities are leading the investigation.

Up to now, the Aruba government has requested minimal FBI assistance, said Judy Orihuela, the FBI spokeswoman in Miami.

”We are there at the request of the Aruban government and we’ll help in anyway they ask us,” she said.

Six Miami-based agents are on the island along with a seventh agent based in Barbados. The team of agents, along with a supervisor, watched from behind a glass the questioning of the five men implicated in the 18-year-old’s disappearence.

Aruba officials also asked the FBI to analyze a DNA sample taken from the backseat of a suspect’s vehicle. The sample was flown to the FBI crime lab in Quantico, Va., but came back negative for blood.

Natalee’s mother, Beth Holloway Twitty, has publicly criticized the pace of the investigation.

Even if Holloway Twitty wanted the FBI more involved in the case, the Dutch government would have to approve.

”Aruba is a sovereign nation,” Orihuela said of the island, an autonomous member of the Kingdom of the Netherlands where Dutch is the official language, but English is widely spoken.

Great argument. You sound as if you may have even passed the third grade. With highly intelligent guys like you in Aruba it is no wonder that these three punks have been able to fool the “highly trained and professional” Aruban law enforcement. As for our government here in the U.S., you can only wish and hope your country was as good as ours. Sure we have our problems, but at least three punk-gangsta-wanna-be losers wouldn’t have gotten away from our law enforcement guys on the first interview. By the way, as intelligent as you sound, you must be a highly placed Aruban official. Bye for now genious boy. BOYCOTT ARUBA!!!!!!

    19. Jake on June 14th, 2005 11:27 am

I respect the fact that the Aruban laws and the way they go about things are different, but a crime is a crime, no matter where it is comitted, and a crime has obviously been comitted here and we cannot hide this, the Aruban Officials cannot hide this! At least here in the US we have the GUTS to go out there and fight!!! Where is the FIGHT for Natalee?

By the way, Siagon didn’t fall to the North Vietnamese (the bad guys) until almost two years after U.S. troops were withdrawn from South Vietnam (the good guys). Then again they probably didn’t teach that history lesson to you in the second grade. I will be happy to answer any of your genious-like questions about Iraq as well. But this is a board talking about Natalee Holloway and how your Aruban keystone cops can’t fight their way out of a wet paper sack. BOYCOTT ARUBA!!!

Your genious mind never ceases to work.. Clearly you are a master of all you survey. As for me, I guess I am not as street smart as you. I only spent several years living in other countries and even fought in Iraq. But I guess by your standards street smarts means seeing all of the world on what a tiny corrupt island has to offer. And no I do not speak seven languages like you (clearly you have mastered profanity in at least one language, although you could improve your spelling just a bit), but I am somewhat conversational in 3 languages. As for you you are clearly an astute individual who likens male prowess and genitalia to true success. This is common among higher forms of primates like apes and chimpanzees. I’ll bet you have proven your manhood several different times, by reproducing several times with several different females. You are truly a genious, I only hope you haven’t yet reproduced, because I don’t think the world could handle too many more intellects like you.

    23. BL on June 14th, 2005 12:33 pm

      Excuse me Domenico,

Some of us don’t care for your language. If you have nothing to say about Natalee you do not belong on this board.

      Thank you.

    25. BL on June 14th, 2005 12:38 pm

No problem, I guess this is just really stressing me out, Natalee’s disappearance and all. It’s not your fault. I wish there was an “Ignore” button to press!

    26. TJ on June 14th, 2005 1:14 pm

Based on Jones’ testimony, I take it the security video at the Marriott has been (or will be) obtained by the Aruban authorities. Pro or con, they can at least ascertain her whereabouts at that time.

Although many may not support this theory, don’t discount trafficing or kidnapping. It’s prevolent down there, but kept “hush hush” on many occasions. Based on the 3 young mens testimony to date, I get the feeling they’re protecting third parties. I’m not pointing fingers at any of these 3, but on face value alone they would be appear to be candidates that would partake in this type activity. They’re street wise, and the money is there.

If Natallee Holloway was killed, I find it hard to fathom why her body (over a 15 day period) has not surfaced. We’re not talking massive RE here. Especially, with the many volunteers and tourists that have assisted in canvassing the island.

Maybe it’s wishful thinking on my part, but I would hate to see a tragic ending unfold here. Especially, if this case remains unsolved, and the alleged parties walk free.

    27. Barry Black on June 14th, 2005 1:28 pm

Just remember—-no body/no confession then no crime. In spite of a popular US TV show; a cold case is a defacto closed case. Without forensic evidence, the three suspects will walk! The longer the body is missing, the more decomposition occurs and foul play becomes difficult to assess.

Under Aruban law, trial is by a single judge (no jury) with appeals allowed on both sides. Should the Aruban authorities decide to indict, the chances of conviction are small. The morale is, don’t be a victim of a crime in a foreign land. The basic philosophy is that, This too shall pass.”

Van Straten (note: he is Dutch) head of police on Aruba told a Dutch reporter in Holland that the case is solved. But will not tell the local press what is the latest news.

In order to understand this you will have to understand first that there has always been a gape between Dutch people and Arubians, because there are Dutch people on Aruba that treath Arubians as less. And most Arubian are threated the same way in Holland

    30. harp on June 14th, 2005 1:58 pm

    35. Kris on June 14th, 2005 2:45 pm

Do you think that they are going to recover a body? With your comment no press, just as the mother requested? Was wondering if you think that is where she is.

    36. Jake on June 14th, 2005 3:06 pm

I am watching CNN and they are reporting that reporters have been moved away from the search area. I think Joran and friends turned against each other and are now talking. But are they telling the truth, or is this just another detour away from where Natalee really is? Remember, no body, no evidence, no crime, they walk!

*****ABU GRAIB STYLE SCANDAL IN ARUBA******

FOX correspondent Geraldo Rivera is being detained by Aruban authorities for crimes that resemble those commited during the Abu Graib prison scandal in Iraq. According to unnamed sources, Geraldo held several high ranking members of the Aruban government hostage in effort to extract infromation regaridng the disappearamce of youn American student. Aruban authorities have uncovered pictures and videos of Prime Minister Nel Oduber and Justice Minister Rudy Croes clad in outfits resembling characters of The Teletubbies, character of a popular PBS children’s program. They were forced to ride around on Big Wheel tricycles and were apparently force fed Animal Crackers, Goldfish, and were also coaxed into what appeared to be grape flavored Juice Box.

AS FAR AS THE INVESTIGATION DRAGGING ALONG ALL I CAN SAY IS THIS:
THE INVESTIGATIVE PROCEDURES ARE MUCH DIFFERENT IN ARUBA THAN IN TH U.S. THINGS ARE DONE BEHIND CLOSED DOORS UNTIL THERE IS SOMETHING CONCRETE TO REVEAL. IN THE U.S. EVERYTHING IS DISCLOSED IN THE MEDIA WHO IN TURN MAKE A MESS OF IT. YOU CAN SEE THE FRUSTRATION IN THE AMERICAN MEDIA DUE TO THE LIMITED AMOUNT OF INFORMATION THEY ARE RECEIVING AND THEY ARE INTERPRETING THIS AS INCOMPETENCE AND MAKING US LOOK BAD AL OVER THE U.S. AND REST OF THE WORLD. I CAN UNDERSTAND THE FRUSTRATION ‘CAUSE I TOO HAVE HAD TO WAIT AND WAIT FOR INFORMATION FROM THE POLICE AND PROSECUTORS

I fervently agree with you vis-a-vie some of the rubbish that’s been posted here on this fine site. Moreover, I really admire your assessment of the present situation regarding the differences in the media.

At a point in my life when I did nothing but travel, I felt that the United States of America had the greatest press corps on the planet. Please understand that this was long ago and since that period I feel that the American press has gone from “Hero to Zero.” I now feel that although the American press isn’t the worst on Earth but getting close to it.

For those who feel as though I am beating up on the American press well, I am. So what? I am a proud American who feels that the press in this country has manipulated the Constitution in every way, shape, fashion, form, or otherwise to fabricate anything that will lead. For the life of me look at Dan Rather; for every Dan Rathers’ out there, there are 10 or more who are plegarizing everyone elses work and getting busted for it at the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal. In conclusion, just think of Lee Harvey Oswald who was tried on television, convicted in less that 24 hours, and executed in less than 48 hours.

Now after supporting Yamanota, this one’s from me: Please use all due-diligence when bringing matters of race to this wonderful board. Please stop immediately with the disrespect of other human beings. Please use professional language, and most importantly, REMEMBER WHAT THIS FORUM IS FOR….Natalee Holloway.

Two questions remain: Does Joran or his family own a boat? Is there wildlife on Aruba that could consume a human being in a matter of days…even hours? Anyone speak with the bartender?

One last thing: “The Hater”: Take care you don’t get consumed by your own hatred. It is pure nonsense to disrespect Aruba or any Arubians for what you don’t know. To call for a boycott is nonsense. Check the crime (serious crime-murder, rape, armed robbery of tourists) before saying or posting another word.

Thanks for the rant gang, I’ll continue to pray.

Check the crime (serious crime-murder, rape, armed robbery of tourists) RATES IN HAWAII before saying or posting another word. Oops, sorry for the mistake.

I believe that Natalie is still alive and hiding somewhere on the island. I pray this is true for the respect of her parents and the three young men that they are holding.
I happen to know the driver of the car, and he would not hurt a fly.
I wish all of you would have more positive thoughts, and do alot more praying instead of slinging mud at everone..Maybe she don’t want to be found! Or she has gone to another island. It’s food for thought.

    50. Paulo Esquire on June 17th, 2005 9:54 am

      Bettty,

I think you bring dignity and integrity to this board. Moreover, I attend to your notion that perhaps Natalee didn’t want to leave. How many times have all of us been to a place where we felt “….ahh, heaven at last.”

I mean no disrespect to the Holloway/Twitty families whatsoever here. I admire their overwhelming resolve in the face of catastrophe, or, do they know that Natalee is alive? I do not mean to sound insensitive at all. However, to arrive at all means to an end, our US press has not mentioned a word about the history of the family. Fair and balanced reporting? No in this case. No one is suggesting to put these folks through anything more that their troubled hearts have been through; yet, is everything okay with the families?

I don’t know if cruise ships have ports of call in Aruba. It’s not unreasonable to think that young Natalee may have elected to go island hopping. Additionally, Columbia is a lovely country, as is the whole of South America. Heck, maybe she met Oprah or David Letterman and is hanging out at their places on St. Baarts.

Oddly every person I’ve seen or heard or read that is from Aruba believes Nat is still alive. This is the kind of thinking, and the attitude we all must have. Thank you Betty!

Just one last matter: People, please stop convicting the island and people of Aruba. This situation could be very similar to the film Traffic. Moreover, this is also the type of rubbish that goes on in every major or minor city in America every day. So why on Earth are you so quick to bludgeon Aruba? I actually watched Greta last night. She interviewed people at C&C’s who felt as safe as anyone could. Ease up folks. Check the 2×4 in our own eyes before we go removing a speck from anothers.

Here is my theory of what has happened. The 2 Security Officers were fingered by the 3 Boys to draw suspicion away from themselves. I praise the Aruban government for having the foresight to release these 2 gentlemen. I think the Aruban Justices son Joran took natalie to the beach or other secluded place after Carlos and Charlies. I believe that Joran wanted more than Natalie was willing to give and he may have forced the issue causing critical or fatal injury to Natalie. I think her body was taken out to sea- say 10 miles or more and dropped into the Ocean. If the body was weighted down, it will never be found. I pray for Natalee’s family, but do not believe that Natalee is still alive. I am a Private Investigator and may come down to Aruba to see what I can find out on my own.

http://98263.myshoutbox.com/go/?u=http://www.dps.state.al.us/public/abi/system/missing/adults.asp Click the link and then you will see how many childeren today are missing in Alabama alone. Should we all go ahead and try to boycott Alabama for not solving these cases? Ofcourse not! These childeren are also real americans like some people patriotically like to put it. Aruba has 40 years of tourism and than this happens… The worst is that the suspect is a foreigner, not even a local. It is very typical for the american press to do what they did. Bashing Aruba for 1 missing person in 40 years. Tell me this… Of all the people who dissapear daily in the us, do they all get this media coverage and hoopla?

    53. Betty on June 17th, 2005 11:48 pm

Paulo..thank you..and I still believe Natalie is alive and well

    54. Betty on June 18th, 2005 12:03 am

Monkeybiz….I wish that your outlook on what has happed would be more positive. Maybe you have been reading too many detective stories. I sure wouldn’t want you to be judge and jury.
I believe with my whole heart that Natalie is alive and well, and will soon be back with her family and loved ones.
I am sure the Aruban government is doing all it possibly can..we just have to pray a little harder…Also stop bashing the men that are under arrest…..I will also say a prayer for you…Bon Voyage..have a safe trip.

    55. Peter on June 19th, 2005 7:53 pm

Take a hammer, threaten to smash one or more ofr Joran’s toes with it, and you’ll get your answer.

What does it take to break a 17 year old in Aruba?

      A candy bar?

    56. Monkebiz on June 20th, 2005 3:51 pm

      Betty,
I wish that I could be more positive about the fate of Natalee. I think that there is a big cover up happening in Aruba. This particular case would have been cracked within the first 3 days in the United States. The Arubans need to swallow their pride and let the FBI do their job. 15 minutes with Joran and they would find out where Natalee is. Its a shame that the Aruban keystone cops don’t know how to interogate a suspect. As an ex-Police Officer and Private Investigator I am just sick over this case and feel so bad for the family of Natalee Holloway. The Aruban Police may be doing their best, but their best is just not good enough. See you in Aruba soon.

    57. Betty on June 21st, 2005 1:03 am

      Monkeybiz,
I have to agree with you that the FBI could crack this case very fast
but the Aruban laws won’t allow it. I guess it is their custom or something like that. I feel so bad for the family and for Natalie. I do not understand why the Aruban cops are not checking the nearby countries..she could have been transported there.
I know down deep in my heart that Natalie Holloway is still alive.
I only hope that she is not being forced to do something against her will. If you go to Aruba..good luck and I hope you find something out..not going to Aruba till next year. Maybe Joran had something to do with this mess, but I think there are more people involved that they haven’t arested yet! What about lie detector tests? Good luck!

    58. Vonda on June 22nd, 2005 3:08 pm

Why should people boycott Aruba?? All because Natalee vanished?? First , of all she never should have got into the car with 3 strangers. I believed somone slip her a date-rape drug so therefore was not in her right mind.
I believe all 3 of the young guys had sex with her tied her up with some weight and dumped the body in the ocean.

Now it’s been what 4 weeks her body is probably badly decomposed if they are able to find anything or what’s left from the sharks eating.

This could happen right here in the U.S. if you decide to leave a club with someone you don’t know.

    59. Betty on June 22nd, 2005 11:45 pm

Vonda. You sure have a stretch of imagination. I wouldn’t be so fast to judge. You may have to eat your words at a later time.
I am sure Natalie Holloway is alive, and probably on another island.
I say alot of prayers for her and her family and loved ones. I know the driver of the car, and he is a fine young man. The sharks do not have teeth on that side of the island.

    60. Monkeybiz on June 23rd, 2005 9:14 am

      Betty,
I have to agree with Vonda on on this one. The chances of Natalee being found alive are remote at best. Everyday that goes by the chances are slimmer and slimmer. But than again anything is possible. I have to think that the Aruban Police must be close to cracking the case. It has been 25 days. I don’t think that the search team from Texas will be able to turn up any clues as it has been too long since the disappearance. If indeed the body was put in the ocean, than it will never be found after all this time. I am trying to free up some time so that my team and I can come down to Aruba and investigate her disappearance. I just wish for 15 minutes alone with Joran or the Depak brothers and they would tell all. This I would guarantee. Feel free to E-mail me at “thepatriots_fan@yahoo.com” to discuss further.

    61. Betty on June 27th, 2005 8:53 pm

Monkeybiz..Is it possible that Natalie could be on another island..
Someone may have gotten alot of money for transporting her there.
There are so many small islands close by. I think this is something that the Aruban police have been overlooking, or maybe they are checking into the other islands. She could have been sold for slavery.
I still pray for her, and I hope if you go to Aruba you will check this out.
I heard that the girl that disapeared in 1996 was spotted there.
      read your email

    62. Betty on June 27th, 2005 8:54 pm

Mistake on the year, I believe it was 1986

    63. Renee on July 6th, 2005 11:46 pm

I think the point that everyone is overlooking is that this was a young lady who was obviously very “worldly” she goes off with strange guys in a foreign land.. kissing and groping.. right before she is scheduled to leave.. her parents once said.. they could handle anything as long as she came back home, if its drugs they would handle it. Is this a young lady that had alcohol and drug problems? She surely loved to drink in Aruba apparently. And who was monitoring these kids on this trip? Are they not to blame as well… for the events leading up to this?

    64. Betty on July 7th, 2005 1:18 am

I still believe that she is alive and on another island..hope the authorities are looking into this..God bless Natalie

    65. Relicman on July 7th, 2005 1:47 am

I have tried to put myself in place of Joran the night Natalie went missing. Assuming that something went terribly wrong and that Joran even though wild was sort of a spoiled local playboy leads me to believe that maybe Natalie died somehow accidental and Joran panicked. Believing that he would be blamed for her death he probably called his father or walked home to see him. Liked most spoiled kids when faced with possible legal trouble they get in touch with good ole father to figure a way out of a desperate situation. Possibly Natalie died of a drug overdose or drowned even. Intentionality killed doesn’t sound likely to me. The son and the father had a lot to lose if his son was convicted of a serious offense as manslaughter or even murder. The son a scholarship for soccer and his father as a permanent judgeship.
Being a relic hunter for many years I my experience would leave me to search places familiar to Joran and even his father. Maybe the soccer field or even Joran home. Since he was in a panic I would guess that she would be buried not far off the beaten path. The ocean is a real possibility (though I hope not). The father would know that without a body it may be hard to convict without a body. I hope Natalie is alive and shows up soon.

I don’t know much about the Arubian police but I believe they are doing what they can. I think it unfair for the TV media to criticise the Arubian police and an insult to them to constantly act like the FBI or any American police dept. are better. This is whar creates the “Urgly American” reputation. Sure the FBI is better equipped and more experieced at investigating but this is not our country to just take over. I hope after a while the Arubian police will swallow their pride and let the FBI work hand and hand with the investgation.

I pray to God that Natalie and all other missing children are found to end the misery that their families are going through.

    66. Betty on July 29th, 2005 1:07 am

When are they going to start searching the island that is 15 miles away from Aruba. I am not sure of the spelling, but it starts with a V. This poor girl is probably there and is being used as a slave..I wish something would happen to make the searchers wake up. I do believe in my heart that Natalie is alive..I feel for her and her family..Haven’t they been through enough? I think all of this looking on the island of Aruba is a waste of time. If someone was seen on the beach with Natalie, she could have been kidnaped and taken to the closest island.
I pray for them every day! Natalie will be found alive.
