RSSAruba: Tourists Beat up by Bouncers at Senor Frogs … Wasn’t Joran Van der Sloot Underage?
Aruba does realize that tourism is still their #1 economic money maker, right?
Two tourists were beaten and injured badly at Senor Frogs in Aruba and needed to be transported to the hospital due to their injuries. The injuries and beatings that they suffered were all because they did not have a proper identification. The tourists were beaten by the security guards that works there.
Interestingly enough, wasn’t Joran Van der Sloot underage to drink at Carlos N’ Charlies in 2005 when Joran, Deepak and Satish road off with Natalee Holloway and she was never to be seen again? I do not remember him ever receiving this king of treatment by the security or bouncers. In fact, Aruba knew he was underage and allowed him in casinos and night clubs without any concern. In fact they embraced it. So why is it that tourists would receive a different brand of treatment and justice? Since when does being under age get you a greater beating than, oh … let’s say participating in a homicide?

Natalee Holloway: Aruba, Still Stuck on Stupid … Besides Suing Greta and the Media, Here are Some other Suggestions
Just recently Aruba and the AHATA sent a letter to Greta Van Susteren threatening legal action if they continued to slander Aruba regarding their tourism and the Natalee Holloway investigation. Slander was defined by actually telling the truth as to what has transpired since the disappearance of Natalee Holloway in 2005. This is why its so easy to boycott Aruba. When people take so little responsibility for their actions and blame others, it becomes an easy call to condemn.
Besides the obvious, that there is freedom of speech in the United States, criminal defense attorney Michael Cardoza pointed to another obvious fact when it comes to proving damages.
If you are sued, you can talk about it even more. This law suit is about as well thought out as their investigation was, or this threatened lawsuit.
How are they going to prove damages, number one? Damages cannot be speculative. (Read full transcript HERE)
Since Aruba wants to ridiculously threaten people with legal action who are doing nothing more that stating the truth, we thought we would provide Aruba a further list of people that they need to sue who are to blame for their countries dwindling tourism.
VAN SUSTEREN: The other thing is that nothing is stated in here, nothing specific, nothing at all. What is it that we said? That they have not solved the case?
WILLIAMS: That there are idiots down there doing the investigation.
Here are some more suggestions, feel free to add your own as well.
#1. Menno Dolman, criminal law scholar of the University of Amsterdam and Hans Nijboer, criminal law expert of the University of Leiden. Both of these astute criminal scholars criticized and referred to the Aruban investigation into the disappearance of Natalee Holloway as follows:
- It is incomprehensible that police, after an important tip about the location of Natalee Holloway’s body, to not go search immediately.”
- “This is very strange”. “Normally the area is closed off immediately, to dig and search for clues, but not in Aruba”.
- “Total madness”
- “This is a total error”.
- “You do not give out information that only the guilty could know.”
#2. Steve Cohen, the Aruban Government Spokesman. Cohen had constantly made statements that the case was botched in the first 48 hours and even made a reference on Court TV during an interview with Red that evidence may have disappeared. Watch the VIDEO here.
The misses opportunities happened within the first 48 hours … But I will agree with Red, there is no question that the physical evidence that existed at that point which was critical in solving this case either disappeared or was not there.
It was Steve Cohen who was the one who said that “suspects had sex with Natalee Holloway”. Then Cohen took back those comments as the OM and ATA became incensed and unhappy over his truthfulness.
#3. Joran Van der Sloot Defense attorney Joe Tacopina. How many times did Joe Tacopina call the Aruba police, prosecutors and investigators incompetent? Also, Joe Tacopina needs to be sued for his continual throwing mud against the wall defense of Joran Van der Sloot. After all, what’s good for Joran Van der Sloot is terrible for Aruba.
#4. Joran Van der Sloot. In many ways, including the obvious, if it were not for Joran no one would ever need cover this case. Also, Joran Van der Sloot has kept this case in the media with his continual need for attention. So many times many had thought the story of Natalee Holloway had drifted from the media’s eye only to be brought back by actions of Joran Van der Sloot like law suits, book deals and being caught on tape. Aruba … your favorite son Joran has affected your tourism more than anyone.
#5. LESLEY VANCE, ALABAMA STATE REPRESENTATIVE:
Well, Tucker, as we had indicated before and we said at news conference today in Montgomery, we have nothing against the people, the citizens of Aruba. Our concern is with the leadership and the government officials in Aruba. We don‘t believe they have come forward. They should have.
Well, you know, Tucker, this is one of the things that we have also that we can do a little bit later on, but we are hoping that what we are trying to do now by the boycott of Aruba will certainly bring the officials down there to the table, so to speak, and do something and bring those who are responsible for Natalee Holloway‘s disappearance, bring them to justice.
And that‘s all we‘re asking, is bring those who are guilty and bring them to justice, and then we can all get on with our lives.
#6. BETTY NGUYEN, CNN ANCHOR. Add another media type to the list.
Aruba: Supervision on gambling shockingly bad … The Law Dictates Residents are allowed only 8 Casino Visits a Month
What would have happened if Aruba properly supervised their own gambling laws as to the frequency of visits allowed by its residents on May 30, 2005?
If Aruba had only upheld their own laws regarding the frequency of allowed casino visits by residents, maybe Natalee Holloway would never have disappeared in Aruba. According to a recent Amigoe article, the supervision of gambling in Aruba is “shockingly bad”. That would also include an Aruban law that dictates that an Aruban resident can only visit a casino eight times a month. Dating back to the numerous stories of Joran Van der Sloot’s frequency of casinos, the following law becomes a bit questionable.
The law dictates that residents are allowed to visit a casino only eight times a month. If and when they exceed this number of visits, the Internal Department of the government will sent them a letter at home with the warning that the maximum standard for casino-visits has been reached. If this warning gets ignored, the resident is banned from casino-visits for one year.
The Department of Casino-system has 92 casino inspectors and 8 clerks, together 100 persons that ought to conduct the checking at the entrance of each casino. However it is known that local visitors are almost never checked.
Joran Van der sloot was a resident of Aruba at the time he was in the Excelsior casino where he met the Mountain Brook. AL teens and Natalee Holloway for the first time. Let us remember there is a difference between the term resident and citizen of Aruba.
Paulus Van der Sloot and the Man at the Excelsior Casino … You Make the call
The pictures of Paulus Van der Sloot and the man sitting at the poker table in the casino where Natalee Holloway and other Mountain Brook teens were playing are hauntingly similar. How is it possible that more video was not released of the time Natalee Holloway was in the Excelsior Casino? A casino is one of the most video taped businesses. There should be video tape of all areas, at all times of every which angle. Is it the guy in the casino video Paul Van der Sloot?

Michael Posner Upset over Excelsior casino Security Tapes to ABC
Add just a couple more strange circumstances in to the mix to the ABC Prime Time interview with Joran Van der Sloot. It was reported that Joran, Natalee Holloway and other Mountain Brook students were at a black jack table in the Excelsior casino. This was presented in exclusive security film footage provided to ABC by an anonymous source.
It has been reported in the past that Michael Posner runs the casino operations and his past ties to organized crime. However, ABC affiliate out of Chicago is once again reporting the same news: Aruban casino boss had ties to Chicago mob, Missing Alabama teen last seen at casino. This is a little bit misleading as Carlos N’ Charlie’s was actually the last place that Natalee Holloway was ever seen. However, they do go into detail of Posner’s past affiliations and the fact that the Aruban government still saw fit to have him run and manage the gaming operations at The Excelsior. 
Authorities on the island of Aruba have not been able to solve the mystery of what happened to Alabama teenager Natalie Holloway. She disappeared while on a high school trip last spring. The ABC7 I-Team has learned new details about the casino where Holloway was last seen, an Aruba casino run by a convicted high-ranking Chicago mobster.
However, through his attorney Posner states that he has been clean for quite some time and that he was not in Aruba at the time of the disappearance. Posner also claims he does not know Van der Sloot or ever giving him credit.
Casino boss Michael Posner denies that he knows van der Sloot and denies ever extending him casino credit. Posner’s lawyer Allan Ackerman says Posner was in Chicago when Holloway vanished and returned to Aruba the day after.
Adding more intrigue to the mix is the fact that Posner is furious that security tapes from The Excelsior that he volunteered to the ALE for the Natalee Holloway investigation wound up in the hands of ABC. Posner, according to his attorney is looking into legal action to whoever turned it over to ABC. Nothing like evidence from private surveillance videos given to the ALE showing up in the media. How does evidence make it into the hands of the media? Maybe the ALE would like to share the statements as well from the three suspects with the MSM for all of us to see as well?
