Natalee Holloway, Missing in Aruba 5 Years Later … Beth Holloway Fights on for Missing Persons
Five Year ago …
Natalee Holloway went missing on May 30, 2005 when she was last seen leaving Carlos n’ Charlies on Aruba with Joran Van der Sloot, Deepak Kalpoe and Sataish Kalpoe. Our first post covering the disappearance of the Mountain Brook, Alabama high school graduate Natalee Holloway was entitled, “This Can’t be Good for Tourism, Where is Natalee Holloway?” No truer words were ever spoken and the affects of a crime like the disappearance of Natalee Holloway in turn created what can only be one of the most incompetant and corrupt cover ups ever witnessed.
For an Island paradise that prides itself on sandy beaches and a constant trade wind, the last thing they would want is bad publicity of an unsafe island. However, An Alabama high school student, Natalee Holloway, disappeared during her graduation trip to Aruba.
For month after month and year after year the family, friends and millions of people who grew to know Natalee Holloway as their own sister, daughter, cousin or niece saw the injustice of what was occurring in Aruba. So much that today, the last three people ever to be seen with Natalee Holloway walk free. Who knew, actually some did, that Natalee Holloway’s family would have to battle law enforcement, the tourism bureau and certain Aruban media in the quest to find Natalee? Justice was replaced by cronyism as Natalee’s family battled obstacles every inch of the way. However, just as the three suspects were arrested, they would later be set free.
The roller-coaster ride of the search and investigation to find Natalee was like some thing one would read in a fiction novel. So much injustice that even when the prime suspect in Natalee’s disappearance confessed to the crime, not once but twice … Joran Van der Sloot still is allowed to walk a free man and charged with no crime. In Aruba, if you lie enough … you are considered not a suspect.
Trailer for the Natalee Holloway movie,
For five years Scared Monkeys has backed, supported, searched and done every thing we could for Beth Holloway and the family in order to help provide answers and justice for Natalee. There have been so many calls and discussions with Beth to provide what ever help we could. So many efforts behind the scenes to aid in what ever way possible to help in what ever way possible to provide … JUSTICE FOR NATALEE.
Much more can be read, reviewed at Scared Monkeys.net: Natalee Holloway.
Five years later, Beth Holloway fights on for missing persons. On a personal note, Beth is one of the strongest and most determined individuals I have ever met. However, there are those other moments when she is nothing more than a mere mom who is desperately trying to find her beloved daughter. It is those moments that your heart breaks for her. However, Beth remains resolute in her quest to help the missing and their families. God Bless you Beth.
Her mother, Beth Holloway, who has worked tirelessly to keep attention on her daughter’s disappearance, will be in Washington in June to announce the opening of the Natalee Holloway Resource Center, a new nonprofit to assist families searching for missing relatives.
The center will be based at the National Museum of Crime & Punishment on Seventh Street NW near Chinatown and the Verizon Center. The museum features Holloway’s disappearance in its “Cold Case” exhibit.
The nonprofit plans to serve as a crisis clearinghouse for families of missing persons in the United States and abroad, according to a statement from the museum. The nonprofit plans to give family members a plan, contact information, a media liaison and other services. It also will offer guidelines for children and adults to travel safely, including creating a national network of college volunteers who will promote the group’s safe travel program to high school and college students.
Natalee Holloway Center to Open in D.C.: Crime Prevention, Help Families of Missing, Among the Goals.
Five years later and Beth Holloway is still looking for answers and justice for Natalee. She is also providing resources for other families that might suffer the same terrible situation of finding one of their loved ones a the victims of a missing persons.
God Bless Beth, and we are always behind you.

Say It Isn’t So … Obama Administration Behind an Astro-Turfing Anti-Tea Party Web Site … NEVAH! Aruba Tried Same Thing with Aruba the Truth with Natalee Holloway
Some times stories so different in content; however, are so close in their nature. Thus is the case with the following one regarding possible astro-turf anti-Tea Party site and the Natalee Holloway Aruba the Truth site.
Say it isn’t so Joe, or should I say Erick …
Erick Erickson of RED STATE is surmising that the anti-Tea Party web site The Other95, which defends the government from tea party criticisms and attacks the tea party movement as fringe, is an astro-turf product of the Obama Administration . Red State asks the obvious question, when was the last time that a grass roots activists movement actually took the time to defend the government? Seems like a rather appropriate question to ask.
Writing on January 15, 2010, Glenn Greenwald at Salon noted Barack Obama’s new head of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, Cass Sunstein, had championed creating fake websites and using outside 501(c)(3) interest groups to act as alleged independent champions of government policy and to “cognitively infiltrate” opposition websites, etc.
In other words, Cass Sunstein has favored the government using outside parties as government propaganda agents to paint their opposition as fringe and undermine their credibility. Kind of like what has been happening with the tea party movement – lots of SEIU members pretending to be tea party activists causing violence in front of TV cameras.
For those that followed this site during the height of the Natalee Holloway disappearance in Aruba, this is exactly what they Aruba officials and AHATA, the hotel and tourism folks did in creating Aruba the Truth, a pseudo info web site used to combat Scared Monkeys and other sites with pro-Aruba government propaganda to lessen the blow of the impact negative and truthful news had on their tourism. What we at SM could never understand was some of our fellow blogger’s dismissive attitude, who we respect immensely, toward the story. They never fully understood the overall impact because they were never privy to the behind the scenes antics, corruption and conspiracies and because they only looked at the case with tunnel vision. They never realized that a blog by helping a family of a missing person was taking on the full force of Aruba. Needless to say, they failed in their efforts to distort the news and their efforts to bring down a site that was at the forefront of opposition against what Aruba was trying to accomplish. To this day Natalee may have not been found, but that does not mean that SM is still not a thorn in the side of those that tried to bring it down.
Moe Lane makes the very point toward the LEFT and the need for such a web site that Scared Monkeys made back in 2005 when battling the Aruba officials and Hotel tourism folks with regards to truthful reporting … they have all this money and power and at the apex of coverage of the disappearance of Natalee Holloway could have gone on any TV news show they want, Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, Court TV, Americas Most Wanted, ABC, CBS, ABC and interview with any and every newspaper or magazine. Every cable outlet had every one of their shows covering the story and yet still Aruba felt the need to create an astro-turf site to combat little old us. Moe Lane stated the following that rings so familiar …
I am struck with an errant thought: this must be exquisitely frustrating for professional Lefty operatives. They have almost everything that they need. They have a solid majority in both Houses of Congress; an Executive branch run by a Democrat and which contains all sorts of people willing to quietly do them favors; a media that largely takes their claims at face value; a plethora of funding; and even a broad outline of goals. They have all these things, but they lack one thing – one thing – and that’s actual warm bodies. They can’t even fill a coffee house reliably, let alone a field.
Also, I guess it is just a coincidence that the designer is affiliated with MoveOn.org and other leftwing sites and causes. The LEFT would never create an astro-turf site, never I say. Come on, that is what they (Nancy Pelosi) have claimed the GOP did with the Tea Party. You mean the LEFT actually accuses others of what they do themselves? Go figure.
Astroturf is the act of professional interest groups designing campaigns that appear to be grassroots efforts, but are not. It is what the left has accused the tea parties of being. Only more and more it looks like the anti-tea party movement is truly astroturfing.
Some have no shame … they will fail too.
It’s a play right out of Lenin’s handbook, forget Alinsky, to call the authentic “inauthentic” and then create something inauthentic demanding it be called “authentic.”

The Latest Twist in the Natalee Holloway Case … Pics of Body Found While Scuba Diving in Aruba?
Back in October 2009 the Muldowney’s were on a cruise that stopped in Aruba. They went on a scuba dive while in Aruba but didn’t get those photos developed until January 2010. While looking through the photos they noticed something startling. They noticed what appeared to be a skeleton on the ocean floor.
I cropped the photo and removed the color for a closer look:
Dr. Michael Baden upon reviewing the photo said it could be a human skeleton and needs to be checked out.
Will Aruba do the right thing? What do you think?
UPDATE I: Natalee Holloway Body Found Pictures Add a Hype to Holloway Case
UPDATE II: Top Pathologist: Investigate Possible Holloway Find
Authorities in Aruba have an “absolute obligation” to investigative an underwater photograph that may show the remains of Natalee Holloway, the Alabama high school student who disappeared in Aruba in 2005, a renowned forensic pathologist told FoxNews.com.
Dr. Michael Baden, a former chief medical examiner for New York City who has followed the high-profile Holloway case, said a photo taken in October by a Pennsylvania couple off the coast of Aruba could depict skeletal remains and should be treated as a potential lead.
“It could be a body,” Baden told FoxNews.com. “The odds are it isn’t, but it absolutely could be a body and there’s an obligation to pick it up and investigate.”
UPDATE III: Natalee Holloway’s Remains? Aruba Divers to Examine Area
Aruban authorities are dispatching a dive team to investigate a Pennsylvania couple’s underwater photograph that may show skeletal remains of Natalee Holloway, an Alabama high school student who went missing on the Caribbean island five years ago.
Ann Angela, a spokeswoman for the public prosecutor’s office in Aruba, said she was not authorized to say when or where the dive would take place, except that it will happen “in the very near future.” Officials likely will have the results of the preliminary investigation by Sunday or Monday.
The underwater photograph of the sea floor depicts a rough outline that the couple believes resembles a human skeleton, according to the Intelligencer Journal/Lancaster New Era, which first published the photo on Thursday.
