‘Rogue’ IRS Agent Tax-Exempt Organization Specialist Stephen Seok Who Wrote Threatening Letters to Tea Party Groups gets promotion to “supervisor IRS agent”

Didn’t President Barack Obama promise to hold accountable those at the Internal Revenue Service involved in the targeting of conservative groups? Guess not.

From the Washington Examiner, one time Tax-Exempt Organization Specialist Stephen Seok who signed many of the intimidating letters sent to conservative nonprofits has now been promoted to  “supervisor IRS agent.” What a joke. The Cincinnati IRS office had no comment and referred all inquiries to the Washington office. These so-called “rouge” agents are not being punished, in fact, they appear to be rewarded for their actions. If Obama was sincere at all, heads would have been rolling left and right at the IRS. Sorry, but his feigned outrage is nothing more than insincere lip service.

Hmm, I thought Obama said the actions of the IRS were inexcusable and he would not tolerate it? Tolerate it? It was Rewarded, who is he kidding?

President Obama may have promised “to hold the responsible parties accountable” for the Internal Revenue Service targeting of conservative non-profit groups, but one of the agents at the center of the scandal was recently promoted, an IRS source tells The Washington Examiner.

Through 2012, then-Exempt Organization Specialist Stephen Seok signed many of the intimidating letters sent to conservative nonprofits. For example, this January 2012 letter sent to the Richmond Tea Party demanded the date, time and location of all group events, as well as copies of all handouts provided at the events, and the names and credentials of all organizers. Seok also demanded the names of all speakers and the contents of the speeches they made.

According to WXIX-TV/Fox 19 in Cincinnati, Seok is no longer an exempt organization specialist. He has since been promoted to  “supervisor IRS agent.”

Arizona Mom Free … Yanira Maldonado Out of Mexico Prison on Trumped Up Drug Charges, Judge Dismisses Case

 Yanira Maldonado is free …

After being questionably detained by Mexican authorities since May 22, 2013, Yanira Maldonado has been freed from a Mexican prison. Maldonado, the mother of seven, was arrested on suspicion of drug smuggling. However, since the inception of this nightmare she pleaded that she was innocent.  Mexican police found 12 pounds of pot taped under the seat on the bus that Yanira Maldonado and her husband were on returning to the United States from a funeral. Yanira Maldonado was born in Mexico but is a naturalized U.S. citizen. From the outset the question has always been, how could they have brought the pot onto the bus and taped it under a seat without anyone seeing it? Corrupt Mexican police have been known to target and frame individuals, especially Americans, in an attempt to shake down people for money. In this case, they never dreamed that this case would get the media attention. This forced the Mexican officials hand, as if this continued, there was talks of starting a boycott of Mexican tourism. With pressure mounting, Maldonado release came hours after court officials reviewed security footage, that showed the couple boarding a commercial bus traveling from Mexico to Phoenix with only blankets, bottles of water and her purse in hand.

VIDEO – ABC News: FREED!!!  Maldonado thanks God and everyone who supported her during this ordeal.

Yanira Maldonado, 42, walked out of the jail late Thursday night local time, and thanked well-wishers and Mexican officials. Maldonado told one jail official in Spanish, “Thank you for everything and the quality of person you are.”

“Is this it?” Maldonado asked officials moments after being released. “Thank you. God bless you,” she added before leaving.

Maldonado met with reporters briefly and said, “Many thanks to everyone, especially my God who let me go free, my family, my children, who with their help, I was able to survive this test,” she said

Yanira Maldonado, the Arizona mother held for more than a week in a Mexico jail on suspicion of drug smuggling, was released late Thursday after the case against her was dismissed.

The mother-of-seven, from Goodyear, Arizona, would return immediately to the United States, her lawyer Jose Francisco Benitez Paz said.

“Many thanks to everyone, especially my God who let me go free, my family, my children, who with their help, I was able to survive this test,” she told reporters.

Maldonado, 42, had been detained since May 22, when she and her husband were returning to the U.S. from a funeral. Soldiers said they had found 12 pounds of marijuana taped under her seat on a bus.

Just amazing. We have illegal immigrants coming into the United States from Mexico, breaking our laws, yet we have innocent Americans just trying to get home from Mexico and arrested illegally. Welcome to the upside down world we live in.

Former IRS Commissioner Douglas Shulman Visited the White House at least 157 Times during the Obama Administration … More Visits Than any Cabinet Member

I guess former IRS commissioner Douglas Shulman was at the White House more than just for the Easter Egg roll.

Some one has some explaining to do to Congress under oath. As reported by the Daily Caller, former IRS Commissioner Douglas Shulman visited the White House at least 157 times during the Obama administration. More than any other of Obama’s other trusted adviser or cabinet member. Looks like someone has frequent flier miles at the White House. How could that be? Last week before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, Shulman stated that he  had visited the White House 118 times during the period of time that the IRS was targeting conservative groups and the Tea Party. Looks like he missed the amount of times in the White House by that much. Interestingly enough, By contrast, Shulman’s predecessor Mark Everson only visited the White House once during four years of service in the George W. Bush administration. Imagine that. But of course its just a coincidence that Schulman was there that oftern and never said a word to the White House about the targeting of the Tea Party. PLEASE! 157 times! As Weasel Zippers opines, It’s almost like the White House and IRS were in cahoots. This is unreal. But we are not supposed to connect the dots and see the obvious. How dare we implicate the White House in the IRS scandal. Sorry, the Obama White House has lost getting the benefit of the doubt anymore.

Shulman’s extensive access to the White House first came to light during his testimony last week before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. Shulman gave assorted answers when asked why he had visited the White House 118 times during the period that the IRS was targeting tea party and conservative nonprofits for extra scrutiny and delays on their tax-exempt applications.

By contrast, Shulman’s predecessor Mark Everson only visited the White House once during four years of service in the George W. Bush administration and compared the IRS’s remoteness from the president to “Siberia.” But the scope of Shulman’s White House visits — which strongly suggests coordination by White House officials in the campaign against the president’s political opponents — is even more striking in comparison to the publicly recorded access of Cabinet members.

So, is it 157 or will it go higher?
