5 of 12 (Biffle, Edwards, Harvick & Stewart) NASCAR Drivers Stiff President Obama Invite for a White House Visit Photo-Op (Update, Make that Four)
THE GREEN PRESIDENT INVITES NASCAR TO WHITE HOUSE … ISN’T THIS PRICELESS.
Five, make that four NASCAR drivers say they are too busy to go to the White House next Thursday and provide a photo-op for President Barack Obama. The drivers stated that they already had plans and scheduling conflicts. Yea, like not wanting to lose their fan base if that is considered a scheduling conflict. Believe it or nor Barack, people are actually lining up to see these guys.
VIDEO – What would happen if If Barack Obama ever drove NASCAR
President Barack Obama will honor NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson and the 11 other Chase drivers from last year in a White House ceremony on Wednesday – but nearly half of the 2010 playoff contenders won’t be there.
NASCAR said Thursday that five drivers – Greg Biffle, Kurt Busch, Carl Edwards, Kevin Harvick and Tony Stewart – will not be attending the White House visit due to “schedule conflicts.”
I actually disagree with the editors of SB Nation, regarding the rare opportunity to meet the President. Sorry, all Presidents are not created equal, especially when they have a sub-40% approval rating, in the 20′s on the economy and NASCAR is still a “Southern” thing. When you become President ZERO why would anyone want to be seen with you? Take a look at how the Democrats fled from Obama in the 2010 midterm elections because he was a detriment.
They must be very busy people. Regardless of one’s political views, the president is still the president – and an opportunity to speak with the leader of the free world is a rare and special one.
You’d think whatever photo shoots or sponsor appearances these drivers have lined up on Wednesday afternoon – if that’s indeed the reason – could be rescheduled. After all, this is the President of the United States we’re talking about here.
Having your picture taken with the President isn’t quite what it used to be. It used to be a perk for the individual lucky enough to be invited to the White House. These days, the photo-op benefits Obama, not the NASCAR drivers. As the Lonely Conservative opines, Barack is Mr. Photo-Op. Are we supposed to believe that Obama knows anything about NASCAR? Obama wishes he had an approval rating like Jimmie Johnson, Biffle or any of ‘em. Obama can only “HOPE” that he receives any of the NASCAR vote; however, when you are a President who is against oil, gas and the combustible engine, its hard to imagine how much love Obama would get at the race track or in the pits. Obama pandering to gas guzzling NASCAR, what would Daryl Hannah say?
Wouldn’t it really just make more sense if Obama invited PGA Golf pros to the White House, minus Paul Azinger of course.
EXIT QUESTION: Taking into consideration the Obama jinx factor and his UN-Midas touch, would you really want your NASCAR favorite driver rubbing elbows with Barack Obama? After all, how many winners has President Zero picked?

0 JOBS … ZERO, NADA, NIL … ADDED IN AUGUST IN THE OBAMA RECESSION!!! UNEMPLOYMENT AT 9.1%
PRESIDENT “o” = PRESIDENT ZERO …
OBAMANOMICS AT ITS FINEST … ARE YOU FRIGGING KIDDING ME!!! WHAT A DISASTER!!!
The job numbers are in for August 2011 … there were “0″ jobs added in the month. NADA, NIL, CERO, NUL, NESSUNO!!! Thanks Barack Obama! But wait, Obama is going to save the day next Wednesday, Thursday or when ever he decides to give this important jobs speech that was so important that a vacation and golf preempted it.
It was the first time since World War II that the economy had a net zero jobs created for a month.
Economists had been expecting the report to show a net of 75,000 jobs created, an unusually low number considering the US is technically more than two years removed from the end of the last crisis.
Markets had been closely watching the August report in hopes that the employment picture would begin to show signs of recovery.
The the Bureau of Labor & Statistics.
Nonfarm payroll employment was unchanged (0) in August, and the unemployment rate held at 9.1
percent, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Employment in most major industries
changed little over the month. Health care continued to add jobs, and a decline in information
employment reflected a strike. Government employment continued to trend down, despite the return of
workers from a partial government shutdown in Minnesota.
3 … 2 … 1 … Global stocks plunge on the news that not one single job was created in August 2011.
How jacked up is the way in which the US government figures out the unemployment rate … in gaining ZERO JOBS, the unemployment rate remained at 9.1%.
It is obvious that Obama is an abysmal failure and his economic policies are hurting American job growth, not helping it.
WAIT, IT GETS WORSE … June and July’s job numbers were revised downward.
The change in total nonfarm payroll employment for June was revised from +46,000 to +20,000, and the change for July was revised from +117,000 to +85,000.
Not a bad jobs number for a President who is just coming off a relaxing vacation on Martha’s Vineyard as the US economy flounders and is mired in an Obama recession of over regulation and a President who hasn’t a clue how to create jobs. Hint: its not the government that creates jobs, you create a non-hostile environment so that business can grow. Look for Obama economy job approval numbers to drop to the low 20′s and teens. Let’s see Obama and his minions spin this and blame Bush.
Rasmussen Poll Has TX Gov. Rick Perry Ahead of President Barack Obama 44% – 41%
Hey Barack … what do you like on your toast?
Texas Governor Rick Perry not only leads his fellow GOP 2012 Presidential challenger Mitt Romney in all of the recent polling, Perry now leads President Barack Obama as well. In the latest Rasmussen poll, Perry has a 44% to 41% lead over Obama who is sinking fast in every poll on job approval. How does an incumbent President only get 41%? One has to truly earn such poor numbers and Barack Obama has certainly done so.
For the first time this year, Texas Governor Rick Perry leads President Obama in a national Election 2012 survey. Other Republican candidates trail the president by single digits.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows Perry picking up 44% of the vote while the president earns support from 41%. Given the margin of sampling error (+/- 3 percentage points) and the fact that the election is more than a year away, the race between the two men is effectively a toss-up. Just over a week ago, the president held a three-point advantage over Perry. (To see question wording, click here.)
How bad is the situation for Obama? Even with the already terrible job approval rating, many still blame GWB for the economy. What will Obama’s numbers look like when even more shift the blame to Obama? The results will be a catastrophic landslide. Obama is already setting the bar low for unemployment saying that it will remain at 9% throughout 2012.
More discussion at American Power over Obama’s dismal polling numbers and Perry’s and Romney’s chances of defeating The One in 2012. Another discussion that comes from this polling data is the premise that only Romney is electable. Not so fast, don’t mess with Texas. Hell, at this point Steve Perry could beat Obama.

Joran Van der Sloot Officially Charged with Murder of Stephany Flores in Peru
Joran Van der Sloot has been officially charged with murder in Peru in the death of 21 year old Stephany Flores. Van der Sloot is also be charged with theft. Peru prosecutors are asking for a 30 year prison sentence. Too bad its not life. Van der Sloot was accused of murder after Flores’ lifeless body was found in Joran’s hotel room as he fled the scene. Unlike Aruba, Peru will convict this murdering, sociopath as there is much evidence pointing to his guilt. Joran Van der Sloot killed Flores on May 30, 2010, five years to the day of the death and disappearance of Natalee Holloway in Aruba.
Van der Sloot was arrested in June of last year, but was not formally charged until Thursday.
Prosecutors are asking for a 30-year prison sentence and a restitution payment of $73,000 to the family of Stephany Flores. They also charged van der Sloot with theft.
Charged alongside van der Sloot were three Peruvian drivers who allegedly helped him flee into Chile. Prosecutors want five-year prison sentences for them and fines of about $1,800.
According to reports, the trial is supposed to begin in October, 2011. Hopefully Joran will get exactly what he has coming to him. It is really too bad that Aruba never locked up this SOB and took him out of the public. By playing games, corruption and cover up in the death of Natalee Holloway, Joran was allowed and emboldened to kill again.
