Joran Van der Sloot Officially Charged with Murder of Stephany Flores in Peru

Joran Van der Sloot has been officially charged with murder in Peru in the death of 21 year old Stephany Flores.  Van der Sloot is also be charged with theft. Peru prosecutors are asking for a 30 year prison sentence. Too bad its not life. Van der Sloot was accused of murder after Flores’ lifeless body was found in Joran’s hotel room as he fled the scene. Unlike Aruba, Peru will convict this murdering, sociopath as there is much evidence pointing to his guilt. Joran Van der Sloot killed Flores on May 30, 2010, five years to the day of the death and disappearance of Natalee Holloway in Aruba.

Van der Sloot was arrested in June of last year, but was not formally charged until Thursday.

Prosecutors are asking for a 30-year prison sentence and a restitution payment of $73,000 to the family of Stephany Flores. They also charged van der Sloot with theft.

Charged alongside van der Sloot were three Peruvian drivers who allegedly helped him flee into Chile. Prosecutors want five-year prison sentences for them and fines of about $1,800.

According to reports, the trial is supposed to begin in October, 2011. Hopefully Joran will get exactly what he has coming to him. It is really too bad that Aruba never locked up this SOB and took him out of the public. By playing games, corruption and cover up in the death of Natalee Holloway, Joran was allowed and emboldened to kill again.

I was kinda hoping that Alabama would get a crack at prosecuting JVDS. But, at the same time, I’m glad that there will be justice for Stephanie.

I hope I am wrong but … I have a hinky feeling that negotiations are taking place behind the scenes that imply that Joran van der sloot will be extradicted from Peru to Aruba/Holland to served his sentence for the murder of Stephany Flores.

Joran is holding the ace in the game of cards. If abandoned in a Peruvian lockup …

Aruba/Holland realizes that Joran will reveal all regarding the sons of the Aruban/Dutch elite who where involved … had knowledge regarding the happenings encompassing the demise of Natalee Holloway and …

Aruba realizes that Joran will reveal all regarding the Aruban/Dutch elite who were participants in the cover up that has prevented justice from prevailing for Natalee Holloway and …

Aruban realizes that Joran will reveal all regarding the dirty little secrets encompassing the Island’s underground economy … the Island’s underground economy that an underage Joran was a participant.

Natalee Holloway’s stepfather knew it was only a matter of time. If only the Aruban justice system had prevailed … The Flores family would be creating memories as they observed Stephany persue her dreams.

      FINALLY!

The wheels of justice moves at a snail’s pace. I read Joran’s statements in which he states he acted out of impulse. I would argue that one might expect a single injury resulting in death to be considered impulsive… but the injuries inflicted upon Miss Flores were the result of a deliberate act… massive injuries to the head and torso with bruising to the bottom of her feet. One can only speculate how they got there, but whether they are defensive wounds or an indication that her feet were tied to posts and the bruising came from her trying to kick her way to freedom… Joran has lied his way into a stiff sentence under Peruvian law.

      Justice for Stephany!

      Viva Peru!

Never forget Natalee Holloway or Stephany Flores.

The Little Sporter can rot in jail…then hopefully Peru will extradite him when he’s in his 50′s to face his charges of extortion in the US. That will probably be the only justice Beth Holloway will ever receive.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, just into ISSUES we have a statement on Joran being charged with murder in Peru from Beth Holloway. And I want to read it to you. We just got it.

“God bless the Peru authorities for handling this, thoroughly and professionally. They have faced criticism and threats of lawsuits from the defendant`s side, and they have stuck to their guns. And good for them. It`s clear that there was a mountain of evidence to back up this murder charge, and the authorities did a good job of processing the crime scene and making sure the details were in place so maybe now justice will be served, and maybe the Flores family will have some feeling of relief.”

      #3 – Janet:

You don’t have to worry about the Dutch elite or the Aruban authorities trying to resurrect Joran… the whole world knows the truth about Aruba. Their dirty little secrets have been exposed. While the level of corruption is unsurpassed on that dirty little island, their crimes are no different than other places in the world. Human trafficking & sexual slavery happens everywhere. Drug trafficking is a prominent means of making a living throughout that region of the world. Unfortunately, it is the wealthier countries that consume most of their product. Joran Van der Sloot is a minnow in a sea of sharks… no one is going to waste their time or risk their reputations to try to save him.

If I were to guess, I would say that when the world is focused elsewhere, he will be found murdered in his cell. He’s way out of his league, this ‘Sporter’!

My thoughts and prayers are with the Flores family as going through a trial in many cases, is like reliving the crime and re-opening a scar that will never heal. May God be with them every step of the way. Justice for them, imo, is justice for Natalee.

      Bless~

      Hope

Time will tell how all this plays out but … somehow I believe the negotiations behind the scenes imply that at some point in the not too distance future Joran will be transferred from Peru to Aruban/Holland to serve his sentence for the murder of Stephany Flores.

Beth Holloway is no longer Aruba’s biggest nightmare … Joran van der Sloot is.

I contend that only appeasement of Joran or elimination will prevent another Natalee Holloway “confession” from emerging and … Aruban/Holland knows it.

Joran has knowledge of everything pertaining to the sons of the Aruban/Dutch elite who were either involved or in the know in regards to the events encompassing the morning of May 30, 2005 … the morning when Natalee Holloway met her demise.

Joran knows everything regarding the Aruban/Dutch elite who were behind the persuing cover up that has prevented justice from prevailing for Natalee Holloway.

As Art Wood a former private investigator for the family stated “When somebody talks … the Aruban house of cards will collapse.”

JORAN is a liar, among other things. He wishes Aruba and the Netherlands would save him from having to serve his time in one of the most vile prisons in the world, but there is such a thing as jurisdiction. The crime he committed wagainst Stephany Flores, a Peruvian citizen was beyond heinous…

Take a good look at his mug shot taken mere hours after he practically beheaded a young lady with a tennis racket… I dare Aruba or the Netherlands to try to interfere with the Flores’ right to justice under the law.

It’s not that I don’t believe you, but it sounds like you’re wishing it would happen. Personally, I’ve had enough of Joran and his drama…

Joran didn’t use his tennis racket to bludgeon Stephany, the autopsy and tests performed on the tennis racket ruled it out.

A tennis racquet had been found amid the clothing and other items near the body, but had tested negative for blood. If the racquet had been the murder weapon, the body would have presented bruises matching the patterns and dimensions of the racquet. The coroner noted that none were present.

Perhaps the most disturbing finding in the autopsy was the possibility that Stephany may have been drifting in and out of consciousness for hours after her attack, helplessly lying on the hotel room floor. Her arms, fingers, and legs were blue and cyanotic, indicating that the deficiency of oxygen in her blood occurred before she died, rather than after she died.

Combined with the discovery of blood traces in the shower stall, the scene became complete; the horrifying scenario had Joran showering off the evidence as Stephany, alive but barely conscious, lay on the hotel room floor.

      snipped

He concluded that Stephany’s death had been caused by the combined result of damage to the brain and cervical trauma due to choking. Villalobos also determined that the “causing agent” for Stephany’s injuries was a blunt instrument. Because the tennis racquet had been ruled out, the investigating detectives needed to reach their own conclusions regarding causing agent. All the evidence pointed to a rage killing.

Callan and his team suspected that the blunt instruments used to kill Stephany were Van der Sloot’s fists–that the Dutch traveler had savagely beaten the young woman for her cash, which he needed to gamble. After smothering and rendering her unconscious, he posed her body to make it appear as though she had been the victim of a violent sexual attack.
