Barack Obama at 39% Job Approval in Gallup Poll … Below 40% for First Time

ITS OFFICIAL … BARACK OBAMA UNDER 40% JOB APPROVAL FOR FIRST TIME SINCE BECOMING PRESIDENT!

Here is some hope and change Americans can really believe in. Obama’s poll numbers have fallen and he can’t get up.

WOW, HOW THE MIGHTY ONE HAS FALLEN … It was only a matter of time before Barack Obama’s disastrous economic policies and liberal agenda caught up to The One. According to the most recent Gallup poll, Obama is under 40% job approval for the first time in his presidency. To be precise, Obama’s job approval is at 39%, while 54% disapprove. How low can he go?

President Obama’s summer woes have dragged his approval rating to an all-time low, sinking below 40% for the first time in Gallup’s daily tracking poll.

New data posted Sunday shows that 39% of Americans approve of Obama’s job performance, while 54% disapprove. Both are the worst numbers of his presidency.

But Americans’ view of his job performance continued to tick downward as the debt-ceiling debate heated up. By the time he signed legislation averting a federal default, he was mired in the low-40% range.

Oh but wait, Obama bus tour to save the economy and jobs will completely reverse his poll numbers. NOT! Such ridiculous ideas and a President with no plan or answers this far into a presidency is the reason why Barack Obama finds himself with a disastrous job approval. According to RCP averages, Obama on approval of 43.4% and 50.5 disapprove, or a -7.1%.

  • Fox News: Approve 42% – Disapprove 48% (difference -6%)
  • CNN Poll: Approve 44% – Disapprove 54% (difference -10%)
  • Gallup: Approve 39% – Disapprove 54% (difference -15%)
  • Rasmussen: Approve 44% – Disapprove 54% (difference -10%)

Obama is fast becoming Carteresque. It was just the other day that Powerline posted, that Obama was “Heading Toward Jimmy Territory”.  Heading, he might already be there. how low will Obama’s approval ratings get before there is widespread panic with Democrats and Progressives where they feel the need that Obama needs a primary challenge? After all, his job approval is getting close to making anything he says irrelevant.

Obama’s red line shows the small bump in May at the time of the Bin Laden mission, but it didn’t last long, and through the debt limit crisis he’s been slowly losing ground.  Like Carter, who hectored us on our “crisis of confidence” at the peak of his leadership crisis, Obama doesn’t know what to do, as Jay Cost argues well over at the Weekly Standard.   So he may yet head into Jimmy territory.  The big question is, with “Progressives” increasingly dismayed with Obama, who will play the Ted Kennedy role and rise to the challenge?

The question is, what can Obama sell to the American people at this point that would help the economy and jobs? The answer, nothing. Unless Obama does a complete 180 degree reversal and implements GOP measures to fix the economy, its just more of the same failed Obama policies.

Because Obama has been such an “EPIC FAILURE” in the present as President, how could anyone think of voting for him in 2012? WHO ON EARTH WOULD EVER WANT 4 MORE YEARS? It is evident in all of the polling, that the INDEPENDENTS have fled from Obama. But its not just the Indy support that is waning. Barack Obama has lost support within the Democrat party as well.  Democrats won’t vote for the Republican, or maybe they will. The fact is, they might just stay home. Who honestly thinks that Obama is going to garner the support and enthusiasm he did in 2008 after witnessing 4 years of this Obamaination?

Seven in 10 Democrats say they’d like to see Obama as their party’s presidential nominee next year.

That figure may seem promising, but support for Obama’s re-nomination has fallen 11 percentage points since June.

Despite the decline, history is on Obama’s side. “In 1994, only 57% of Democrats wanted the party to renominate Bill Clinton, and he went on to win the nomination and a second term two years later,” said CNN Polling Director Keating Holland.

The potus downgrade has finally come home to roost. This is the first poll that reflects what I have been hearing from the folks in the states I travel (Ohio, Michigan, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia). I still think it is a little high but I will take what we can get.

SM: I agree and thought the same thing. Its like when a stock hits a certain mark, it will either find its settling point, or collapse altogether. Once the 30′s are reached … anything downward from 39 is possible. Remember, many still blame GWB for the economy, the closer we get to the 2012 election, Obama will be gaining more and more responsibility.

Look for his job approval to go even lower.
