Barack Obama Declares Swine Flu a National Emergency But Does Not Vaccinate his own Daughters

Barack Obama: The do as I say, not as I do President.

President Barack Obama has declared that swine flu is a national emergency in the United States. However, Obama has not vaccinated his own two daughters. So how exactly does a President declare a national emergency and not vaccinate his own children?

The declaration, signed Friday night and announced Saturday, comes with the disease more prevalent than ever in the country and production delays undercutting the government’s initial, optimistic estimates that as many as 120 million doses of the vaccine could be available by mid-October.

Health authorities say more than 1,000 people in the United States, including almost 100 children, have died from the strain of flu known as H1N1, and 46 states have widespread flu activity.

With so many parents fearful of giving their children the new swine flu vaccine and the possible side effects, one would think that “The One” would provide leadership and comfort to American families by having his own children be vaccinated. As Weasel Zippers states, “if GWB were in the WH, reporters would be screaming for the Bush family to get vaccinated on live TV to prove that the vaccines are safe” even though the Bush twins are hardly children. Wouldn’t this be a teachable moment for Obama and a chance to actually lead and put the American parents minds at ease? One would think. However, once again Obama has blown it.

 WHATCHA TALKIN’ BOUT GIBBS?

The BS from Press Secretary Robert Gibbs was that the vaccine is not available to them based on their risk. Whatcha talkin bout Willis? Interestingly enough, the  Centers for Disease Control recommend that children ages 6 months through 18 years of age receive a vaccination against the H1N1 flu virus.

• All people from 6 months through 24 years of age

• Children from 6 months through 18 years of age because cases of 2009 H1N1 influenza have been seen in children who are in close contact with each other in school and day care settings, which increases the likelihood of disease spread, and
• Young adults 19 through 24 years of age because many cases of 2009 H1N1 influenza have been seen in these healthy young adults and they often live, work, and study in close proximity, and they are a frequently mobile population; and,

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported on Friday that the flu was spreading widely in at least 46 states and had already caused the hospitalization of at least 20,000 Americans.

15 Year Old Juvenile Charged with First Degree Murder of 9 Year Old Elizabeth Olten

A 15 year old has been charged with first degree murder in the death of 9 year old Elizabeth Olten. The name and gender of the individual charged has been withheld; however, it has been confirmed that the person is not related to Elizabeth Olten, but is an acquaintance. Elizabeth Olten went missing on October 21, 2009 while reportedly walking home from a friends house. Her body was found in a wooded area two days later.

According to Missouri law, children as young as 12 can be tried as adults for first degree murder; however, the process must first begin in the juvenile courts.

Barack Obama thinks his BS Nobel Peace Prize is more important than global warming. How will the liberals spin this?

Even Barack Obama thinks that global warming is a farce. If “The One” really believed that we were headed for a climate catastrophe, he would have made sure to attend the climate summit in Copenhagen. Wouldn’t his leadership at the conference be considered important? Instead, he is off to Oslo, Norway to get his undeserved Nobel Peace Prize.

The White House confirmed that the President would be in Oslo to accept the prize, but a source close to the Administration said it was “hard to see the benefit” of his going to Copenhagen if there was no comprehensive deal for him to close or sign. Another expert, who did not want to be named, said he would be “really, really shocked” if Mr Obama went to Copenhagen, adding that European hopes about the power of his Administration to transform the climate change debate in a matter of months bore little relation to reality.

46 year old Steve Phillips, ESPN baseball analyst and former GM of the NY Mets, has been implicated in a sex scandal with his 22 year old production assistant Brooke Hundley. The affair came to light as the jilted lover cyberstalked Phillips son. It’s bad enough that Steve Phillips had to have an affair, but to put his wife and family in harms way. He should be ashamed. All one has to do is listen to the 911 call below to hear the fear in Marni Phillps voice.

Hundley also contacted their 16-year-old son through the Internet, the report says. She set up a Facebook account using the name of a schoolmate and impersonated another student to reach him via AOL Instant Messenger.

“She asked specific inappropriate questions about my parents such as: ‘Do they sleep in the same bed?’” the son told cops. “‘Do you think they will be getting a divorce?’”

Then placed a very inappropriate letter to Phillips wife at her home.

61% of Americans Believe Obama Did not Deserve Nobel Peace Prize … How About the Heisman?

Mandate … 61% of Americans believe that President Barack Obama did not deserve to win the Nobel Peace Prize. 34% of those poll said Obama dreamed of doing something deserving at some point in his life, while 6% had no opinion and were watching reruns of The Bachelor.

It was predictable how Republicans would side in this matter; however, look at Independents. By a 66% to 27% margin, middle of the roaders said Obama in no way deserved the Nobel Peace Prize. More interesting was that only 59% of Democrats said that Obama deserved the award. Hmm.

The Norwegian Nobel Committee’s Oct. 9 announcement that President Obama had received the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize caught the world by surprise. One Associated Press report on the day of the announcement was headlined, “Gasps as Obama Awarded Peace Prize.” Those startled by the announcement apparently included Obama himself, who said he was “surprised and deeply humbled” by the award.

They say Americans are can-do people. But “can” and “do” are not one and the same. 

Americans seem to understandably believe that he has not “done” it, at least not yet. That he can, sure. But Americans believe, sometimes desperately, in meritocracy. And most Americans don’t believe the president merits this honor.

How many believe that Obama should win the Heisman? How about the MVP of the Baseball World Series? The libs at the Nobel Peace Prize org did Obama no favors in further pointing out to the American people that Barack is provided favoritism for doing nothing.

By a 49% to 39% margin, most American voters say that no healthcare reform is better than the current disaster that is being put forth by Democrats known as Obamacare.

Forty-nine percent (49%) of voters nationwide say that passing no health care reform bill this year would be better than passing the plan currently working its way through Congress.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 39% disagree and say the current effort is better than doing nothing.

After all the talking, after all the Obama speeches, after all the town halls … America simply does not trust Pelosi, Reid and Obama on health care. Americans do not want a single payer health care system, yet that is what Obama’s ultimate goal is. They do not want a public option, yet Democrats are going to force one on the American people.

Was it Anita Dunn going out of her way to say she respects Major Garrett as a fair reporter — before the administration decided he didn’t deserve a crack here at Feinberg? Or was it the repeated insistence by Dunn and Axelrod that of course the administration will make its officials available to Fox — before pulling the plug today?

KUDOS to the Washington bureau chiefs of the five TV news networks who stepped in an agreed to skip the interview if FOX News was not included. When push comes to shove, all of the MSM is in it together no matter what party in in office.
