CNN Down 68% in Prime Time Ratings … FOX News Up Almost 10% Since Obama WH Declared War on Fox

FOX UP … CNN DOWN!

It is the law of unintended consequences by the White House and one of the worst political Obama_Oopscalculations in recent memory. Everyone, including other media outlets, could probably have predicted the media boost and WH backlash that this would provide to Fox. Obama even went so far as to force the other media outlets to FOX’s aid. Oops! And these are the people that run the country, huh?

Maybe CNN would like to ask the communications director with the Obama White House whether Barack Obama would like to declare a war on CNN? The once only 24–7 news network game in town now finds its prime time ratings drop 68%.

I have been reporting CNN’s bad numbers for some time and now it will be official when the October numbers are in, CNN is in last place behind MSNBC, HLN and you know who.

CNN’s numbers have dropped in half overall (52%) and 68% in prime time comparing October 2008 to 2009, TV by the Numbers reported.

In the 25-54 demographic, CNN dropped 62% overall and by 77% in prime time.

It would seem that it does not pay to be an Obama “Official News Media Organization”.

CNN can provide all the excuses they want. The fact of the matter is that “We the People” are voting with our remote controls and are tired of liberal slanted media. CNN is quick to blame “opinion” cable shows; however, it is not as though they do not have the same. They just have ones that are unwatchable.

However, FOX News is up nearly 10% since the Obama White House foolishly decided to declare war on Fox.

It would appear that Barack Obama and his minions have failed miserably in their attempt to reign in Fox News stories and the WH’s implied threats to other networks for following their lead. The disastrous irony cannot be lost in the fact that it was Anita Dunn who appeared on floundering CNN’s “Reliable Sources” to start the media shot heard round the networks against FOX News. Talk about your Obama miscalculations.

It’s a nine-percent bump in the two weeks since Anita Dunn’s whine heard ’round the world — in terms of overall audience. Among the coveted 25-54 demographic? A 14-percent bump. Good work, Barry. People keep telling me that this PR offensive by the White House benefits both sides but I don’t see how that’s true.

How arrogant that Obama thinks that he can control what “We the People” want to watch. America is growing tired in less than one year of “Chicago-style” politics. Thanks to the WH, even more people are watching Glenn Beck, Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity.

Yet another arrogent blunder from this WH.

Folks, imagine, just imagine what would happen if Obama did not have the MSM in his pocket come election time.

Looking like a Carter re-election repeat.

As so deftly underscored in Jonah Goldberg’s “Liberal Fascism”,
‘Big Business’ fully cooperates with an Administration in order
to receive assurances of it’s future survival. In return for certain
‘guarantees’, news organizations could fully support a candidate-
turned-President in return for ‘special considerations’ from the
‘Powers that Be’. But, ‘crossing’ the ‘Powers’ would threaten those
‘special considerations’ and bring the same wrath afforded to
other non-supporting entities. Waiting to see further support
of Fox by competing organizations over time…or Not.

obama gets a free pass from his pet media for being a slacker while GWB was hammered on every side.
military official quits on behalf of obama’s slacker attitude on Afghanistan.
he will not rush a decision on Afghanistan while Americans die daily.
obama does not know how to run a country and would rather take a vacation instead.

Isn’t Rahm the one who prophesied, “every crisis is an opportunity…”

Obama’s Rahm speaks his marching orders to WH staff (Obama is still OJT), creates the crisis of leaving out Fox, and the result: Fox’s ratings soar!

      Sweet.

Re Allahpundit that ‘at some point the networks will have to follow Fox’s lead, ideology or no ideology.’ I’ve worked in show biz with liberals for 35 years, and I’m pretty sure they will never follow Fox’s lead. They will scream, sue, defame, lie, cheat, sneer, scorn, try to pass laws to make Fox illegal, but they will never follow. Liberals can only serve one master, just ask Demi Moore. I’m sure Bernard Goldberg would agree with me.

now that slackbama doesn’t have the knowledge to handle the Afghan war, he sends out none other than the elongated head of John Kerry (ketchup farmer) to blame Bush once again.
when do these babies stop whining and crying and either man up or step down ? stepping down would be the thing for a democrat to do. just wait until the Harry & Nancy health reform gets shot down and Bush will get blamed for that too.

      6 Marcy,

I think you are probably right in the short term, but if things don’t improve and ratings slide… I believe most of them would sell out to anything for ratings. When and if they do turn on Obama, it isn’t gong to be pretty.

That is great news. Living in Chicago, all that I see in restaurants and bars is CNN on TV. I was beginning to think the entire US watches CNN.

“Prior to the year 1998, the available depopulation tools that could
be utilized by such “global elitists” were fairly limited; diseases, famine, wars and even natural disasters could each be developed and
actually implemented by a designed plan. These depopulation tools are rather messy, however, and often hard to completely control. However,
thanks to the work of Dr. Richard A. Fayrer -Hosken at the University of Georgia, a new and completely effective depopulation tool is now
available – indeed, a simple little VACCINE SHOT can today cause permanent sterility. (See Addendum 3 attached for the international
      patent of this “immunosterilization vaccine”.)

Fayrer-Hosken’s invention has been successfully tested and found to be effective on all mammals, including the African elephant, although the
potential long-term side effects are still being compiled. What exactly is the active ingredients of this sterilization vaccine?
Primarily the sterilization vaccine contains antigens from PORCINE (pig) glyco-proteins (viruses are a form of glyco-proteins) bonded
with a powerful oil-in-water “adjuvant” called squalene.

Is it just a coincidence that Novartis’ master patent for the “swine flu” vaccine utilizes swine (porcine) glycol-proteins bonded with a
      powerful oil-in-water “adjuvant” called squalene?

Is it just a coincidence that Novartis’ “swine flu” vaccine product information circular, section 8.1, includes this warning paragraph:

      Quote:
“Animal reproduction studies have not been conducted with this -[vaccine]. It is also not known whether the vaccine can cause fetal
harm when administered to a pregnant woman, OR CAN AFFECT REPRODUCTION CAPACITY.”
      (Emphasis added.)

It would also seem highly logical that a sterilization vaccine disguised as a pandemic influenza vaccine would require a complete
blanket shield against liability lawsuits and litigation as well – for such claims would undoubtedly number in the hundreds of millions.
(Oops, sorry the vaccine made you sterile Mrs. Jones – we had absolutely no idea, you see!) Of course, such blanket immunity from lawsuits is exactly what has been given to the “swine flu” vaccine manufacturers and promoters by our federal government.”

Dang, did Obama just protect Sasha and Malia

from the H1N1 and from ever getting pregnant *EVER

in one little itty bitty ol’ shot????

I hope they didn’t get the NOVARTIS one!

Sounds to me like they have no legal recourse!

That stinks. Obama, I am starting to think you

      are mean and cruel.

See, I have been keepin’ score, brother!

      You taught me that. :)

WHEN WILL THE HEADS ROLL ON CNN?

I remember my sister being a big CNN fan of Aaron Brown. The guys voice grates me. After looking at Anderson Vanderbilt Cooper. I must apologize to Mr. Brown.

Brown had what I would called a zeitgeist he happened to be on the streets of NYC on 911 doing a story when the planes crashed into the trade centers.

After watching PBS’ Wide Angle. I have really grown to like the guy. CNN needs to bring him back. Get rid of Larry King. Wolf, Campbell needs to find a new jobs.

Joy Behar who I hate has a good show. I enjoyed watching Joe the Plumer beat down that shrew.

HINT CNN give Joe the Plummer his own show. The guy has “IT”.

Second hint CNN bring back cross fire. You need to restore what works.

Third hint report the news. All the News! Acorn, Van Jones, ect. ect. Playing president Obama’s favorite cable News tank has gotten your ratings dead last. News is (Business)

    13. Greg the Mongoose on October 28th, 2009 8:07 am

News is a (Business), not a Glee club.

I don’t know if any american still knows what a news show looks like. In a democracy they should be impartial, neutral. By their very definition. I haven’t seen an american news show in years that didn’t take sides. Bill is just a master craftsman in that respect. He says “I don’t take sides” but laces his comments with a little poison for the liberals every day, trying to kill them slowly. It works much better than just defying anything they are, do, or say like Glenn Beck.
You haven’t got news. You got reality entertainment. And that is the motivation of some people to watch fox. Even I do. It is the fascination of what you can get away with, without someone hitting you over the head with a fact, or a long-term memory.

And you just gotta laugh at the way in which the democrats falter because someone throws feces at them instead of arguments.

But maybe feces is all they got.
