An Inconvenient Poll: Belief in global warming down 20 points in 3 years …
Is Al Gore getting the cold shoulder on Global warming? In a recent Pew Research Center for the People & the Press, only 57% of Americans think there is solid evidence that the world is getting warmer. The belief that man is responsible for Al “the earth has a fever” Gore’s global warming has also fallen. That is down 20% points in 3 years and down 14% from just last year.
Americans are beginning to get educated on the so-called science of global warming. They are no longer believing Gore hook, line and sinker. The more America becomes informed, the more they turn away from the global warming propaganda.
In a poll of 1,500 adults by the Pew Research Center for the People&the Press, released Thursday, the number of people saying there is strong scientific evidence that the Earth has gotten warmer over the past few decades is down from 71 percent in April of last year and from 77 percent when Pew started asking the question in 2006. The number of people who see the situation as a serious problem also has declined.
The steepest drop has occurred during the past year, as Congress and the Obama administration have taken steps to control heat-trapping emissions for the first time and international negotiations for a new treaty to slow global warming have been under way. At the same time, there has been mounting scientific evidence of climate change — from melting ice caps to the world’s oceans hitting the highest monthly recorded temperatures this summer.
Since 2006, across every party line including Democrats the belief that there is evidence that global warming exists has gone down drastically. Democrats has seen a drop of -16%, Republicans -24 and Independents -26%.
This is rather poor timing on the part of Barack Obama and Democrats as they try try to ram “cap & tax” down the throats of Americans. In the present political and economic climate, pardon the pun, their is hardly the appetite for such measures. All this while the global warming folks are set to meet at the Copenhagen summit in December. While misguided environmental extremists look to destroy Americas economy in the midst of a recession, Q and O points out that developing countries like India are not willing to sacrifice development for climate change as they tell everyone, suck it.
Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said Thursday that the world’s poor nations will not sacrifice their development in negotiations for a new climate change deal.
The issue of how to share the burden of fighting global warming has divided the developing and industrialized worlds as they prepare to negotiate a replacement to the 1997 Kyoto Protocol at a December summit in Copenhagen.
“Developing countries cannot and will not compromise on development,” Singh told an international conference on technology and climate change.
But wait, the liberal MSM and NBC’s Brian Williams to the rescue via Town Hall. It’s not that people have lost faith in global warming, it’s they don’t care about the environment.
But as NBC News anchor Brian Williams reports, it’s not because people don’t believe in global warming, but that “in a down economy, people are less sensitive to the environment.”
That’s it Brian Williams, you nailed it. IDIOT! More people than ever are conscious of the environment. More people than ever recycle and try to do the rational “green” thing and not pollute. Maybe, just maybe as NewsBusters points out via the BBC that because for over a decade there has been no increase in global temperatures that people are beginning to question the science and the models. Hell, you people can’t get a daily weather model correct.
Once again the MSM, Democrats and Obama find them self on the wrong side of a polling trend.Cap & Tax will cost American households dearly. And that is a conservative estimate.

The existence of global warming is now going to be determined by a public opinion poll? Yeah, right. Forget all the scientific data and satellite photos of polar icecaps (and mountains of other evidence). Let’s put it to a vote!
Looks like 57% of Americans believe that there’s global warming, and 52% of Americans voted for Obama. Sounds like 5% of Americans are Republicans who believe in global warming. Don’t they know that global warming is a black and white, Democrat/Republican issue?

The title of this article should be, “Majority of Americans think that there is solid evidence for global warming: Number of republicans that believe in global warming is up 35% over the past 25 years!”

Al Gore has invested a ton of money in green businesses. He has an invested interest in the outcome of how America views global warming. It all comes down to dollars and cents. Again, the American people are duped to pad political pockets.
Since when did the fact that a large number of people believe something mean that it is true? Science isn’t a popularity contest. Otherwise, we could all have a vote and agree that 2+2=5.
