More Global Warming, Lake Erie Frozen Over, First Time in 14 Years … More People Cast Doubt on Man Made Global Warming

According to the most recent Rasmussen poll, 47% of Americans now blame Global Warming on planetary trends and not man. Only 35% believe that it is caused by man’s activity. What does this mean, the science is much in question that has blamed man for the earth’s fever.

al_gore_backs_obama

There’s nothing political about global warming now is there?

Belief that human activity is the primary cause of global warming has declined significantly. In April 2008, the numbers were nearly the mirror image of the current numbers. At that time, 47% blamed human activity and only 34% named long term planetary trends as the reason for climate change.

Since July, the number who believe long-term planetary trends are the chief culprit have ranged from 47% to 50%. Those who blame human activity have ranged from 34% to 42% in the same period.

Is it any wonder that people are not casting doubt on man made global warming in the wake of the scandals from the global warming scientist crowd?

Even global warming expert Professor Phil Jones admitted this weekend that there has been no significant global warming in the last 15 years.

Looks an awful lot like they have some major global warming going on at the Great Lakes.  For the first time in 14 years Lake Erie is frozen over. No wonder the Al Gore’s and other global waring agendists want to change the name to “climate change“. The global warming crowd would say that a frozen lake has nothing to do with global warming. Of course if it had no ice on it what-so-ever, that would be indicative of global warming.

With only 35% of people still believing that man is the cause of global warming, Obama finds himself once again on the wrong side of an issue as he still looks to push his climate change agenda of Cap & Tax that will further harm the US economy.

Is it too late for the Nobel committee to ask for their award back?

      Just dreamin’

It’s funny how flip floppy the liberals are….first it was NO SNOW=Global Warming; now it’s ALOT OF SNOW=Global Warming!?!

The jig is up losers. All the scientists who created and participated in misleading the world, are now recanting, especially with this resounding comment that the “earth has not warmed in more than 15 years.”

You liberals can flip flop all you want. The world knows Global Warming is a farce and scheme to raise money for a New World Order.

while the rapport might not entirely be true and is colloured by political believes.

we can’t deny that the climate is changing or that manmade pollution is a serious issue.

But I agree its silly to talk about global warming when most countries have the worst winter in decades.

global warming was nothing more than another obama scam to skin billions from taxpayers.
if there is no money involved, you will see no interest from washington.
the rich politicians are greedy and will go to any length to grab more money and power.

      Greetings:

So, does that mean that the fire on Lake Erie is Out?

    7. Susan on February 17th, 2010 6:42 pm

I guess that explains why we’ve had “record low temperatures” here in the deep south :-( We’ve also been getting a wintry mix of ice and snow. Damn Al Gore for inventing global warming!! He is such an IDIOT :-)

    8. nun on February 17th, 2010 9:28 pm

No one on earth can make absolute statements about climate patterns because no one on earth has been around long enough to precisely record the facts that must be in evidence in order to PROVE such trends.

Evidence can be facts, but not all evidence is proven to be factual. Past “scientific data” can only be interpreted by making assumptions based on the current knowledge of climate in 2010. A minute error in computation or a faulty piece of code in a computer algorithm can turn evidence into fallacy completely skewing the results of an otherwise flawless hypothesis.

Not so many years ago, in the giant scheme of the history of earth, Greeks thought the eruption of volcanoes was the god’s blacksmith busily working at his forge. Based on their perceptions and evidence, this was a scientifically valid assumption based on the facts as they interpreted them.

As for me, I believe the earth is more resilient than most puny, pencil-necked homo sapien scientist realize.

we can’t deny that the climate is changing or that manmade pollution is a serious issue.

Climate always changes; however that doesn’t mean that it is caused, or can be changed, by man.

Anyone aware of the Project HAARP? If one worries about man made weather changes, then they better worry about HAARP as being the possible source.

    10. J.Jay on February 18th, 2010 3:06 am

Project Haarp… project Harp would be more stimulating.
Dave: Obama scam? That “scam” was around before Obama even was a community organizer.

@nun: True(first part of #8). But our knowledge about the climate grows nearly exponentially now. We can simulate it, we can look at almost all layers of ice in the polar caps, we can take samples out of all air layers, we can use global weather satellite coverage and so on.

E-Mails from a few idiots are irrelevant. This is a global effort. Peer review, that is something that politics still has to learn.

      To your last point:
Earth is big but finite. We are everywhere on it. The atmosphere is a very thin layer. The highest mountains are around 8 km high. You can hardly breathe up there. That’s it. Beyond that is nothing. If you imagine every car having it’s exhaust in a 1mx1m times the necessary height above it, that is 8000 cubic meters until you have completely polluted the “part of earth that belongs to the car”. A car with 3 liter cylinder capacity at 2000 rpm exhausts about 6000 liters per minute (naively but intuitively calculated).
That gives you roughly 2000 minutes or 35hrs until your exhaust colum reaches the end of the atmosphere.

      8-|

I hope I heavily miscalculated something here, or I will sell my car. Now.

If man is responsible for climate control then why do we have unwanted cold temperatures and massive snow fall…!!!!

…way off the topic of Climatefraud but let’s have a post about the Dalai Lama visit that Red China doesn’t want us to have…he will not be recieved at the Oval office.

This is how President Bush(W) recieved him and it should not change:

“George W. Bush met several times with the Dalai Lama in private at the White House residence. In 2007, in a hugely symbolic moment, Bush broke with tradition and appeared in public with the Dalai Lama, personally presenting the monk with the Congressional Gold Medal in an elaborate ceremony. In front of TV cameras and Washington’s most powerful lawmakers, the two men laughed and warmly greeted each other. Bush urged China to invite the Dalai Lama for talks; China was enraged.”

Garbage in, garbage out. Without solid primary sources, predictions are just that — educated guesses.

Silly, but relevant example: Say that scientists who were studying vision acuity of neanderthal man discovers that like Fred Flintstone, cavemen traveled in foot powered cars. Using this evidence, they hypothesize that cavemen used their visual ability just as modern man does to guide the car, therefore have similar visual acuity as today’s humans. What they do not know, however, is that cavemen actually had sonar hearing like bats, which allowed them to guide their cars by internal radar, not by vision. The physical (primary source) evidence of this ability was contained in the soft tissue of the ears, which by now has been lost in all the skeletal remains that scientist have to study. Over the centuries genetic mutation has caused this sonic hearing to be lost in humans so it is no longer present to study first hand. Therefore, the prediction that scientist make about the visual acuity of caveman would be incorrect because of the lack of primary source evidence.

We have not been tracking the weather patterns using consistent, reliable methodology long enough, in comparison with the earth’s age, to know what factors have lead to any patterns in the earth’s climate.
