Global Warming Alert: Chicago Sees Coldest July In 67 Years

 Global Warming Alert …

According to The National Weather Service, Chicago, Illinois sees the coldest July in 67 years. Not one day in the month of July did the temperature reach 90 degrees. There were 13 days when the temperature did not exceed 80 degrees. So if “man” did not reduce CO2 emissions during this period of time, why were temperatures colder, not warmer? That’s right, it could have nothing to do with weather patterns and the environment … it’s all man’s fault.

Have you left your air conditioner in the closet this summer, and worn long pants more often than shorts? If so, you may not be surprised to find out that Chicago is seeing its coldest July in more than 65 years.

The National Weather Service says 2009 has seen the coldest July since the official recording station was moved away from the lakefront in 1942. The average temperature this month in Chicago has been a mere 68.9 degrees.

Al Gore, Barack Obama and the rest of the corrupt cap & trade folks … It’s not easy being Green and pushing a science when the data comes back just the opposite is it?

      Today on Fox News (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,535067,00.html):

(btw, if you’ll talk about GLOBAL warming, why not look at the whole world, hence the name ‘global’)

“Texas Scorched by Worst Drought in 50 Years”

A combination of record-high heat and record-low rainfall has pushed south and central Texas into the region’s deepest drought in a half century, with $3.6 billion of crop and livestock losses piling up during the past nine months.

The heat wave has drastically reduced reservoirs and forced about 230 public water systems to declare mandatory water restrictions. Lower levels in lakes and rivers have been a blow to tourism, too, making summer boating, swimming and fishing activities impossible in some places.

“Summed up in one word: devastating,” Texas Agriculture Commissioner Todd Staples said.

Nearly 80 of Texas’ 254 counties are in “extreme” or “exceptional” drought, the worst possible levels on the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s index.

In late April, the USDA designated 70 Texas counties as primary natural-disaster areas because of drought, above-normal temperatures and associated wildfires.

“If we don’t get rain by early September, it could be trouble,” said Mr. McAdams, a past president of the National Cattleman’s Beef Association.

SM: Because you fool … its called cyclical weather patterns, THAT’s THE ENTIRE POINT!!!

ITS NOT MAN MADE GLOBAL WARMING … It is Mother Nature.

#2 and #3 if you believe the CON, SCHEME that the government is throwing at you with Global Warming then you believe in the Easter Bunny, the tooth fairy and Santa Claus. Hell, if buy that crock of sh*t that they are selling then you probably believe Barack Obama is the God himself. LOL!

One or two abnormal weeks in the NW is NOT comparable to a whole seasonal statistic for places in the country that are SEASONABLY SIGNIFICANTLY cooler for weeks upon weeks upon weeks.

#3 it just goes to show your lack of education and intelligence to try to compare apples and oranges.

Texas is always hot, throw that argument out, it’s bogus.

AMERICA knows global warming is government scam and so is the cap and trade bill that will for all intent and purposes kill America as we know it; well at least those that are lunatic and delusional liberals.

These liberals are quick to throw money at an UNSUBSTANTIATED ‘theory’ to “save our children’s furture; BUT YET, they want to bankrupt our children’s future by TRIPLING the deficit; including the $1TRILLION price tag for healthSCARE….they are the most hypocritical co*cksuckers on earth!

      Annoy a liberal….with FACTS!

    5. dotratc on July 29th, 2009 1:53 pm

Uh, #4, hate to annoy you with FACTS but one or two weeks of below average temperatures in one region of the country do not disprove the mountains of evidence that prove that global temperatures are on the rise and have been for several years.

Recently released satellite photos of the polar ice caps prove that they are receding at alarming rates. The only question is, are they receding as a result of human pollutants or is it just part of a natural cycle.

    6. Michelle Smith on July 29th, 2009 3:15 pm

#5 It’s part of a natural cycle. The Earth cools & warms in cycles. It’s scientist arguing with other scientist. Some say global warming is man-made others say it’s a natural process the earth goes through. We are saying that global warming is nothing to be alarmed about.

    7. dotratc on July 29th, 2009 5:01 pm

Speak for yourself, #6. It seems obvious to me that the whole point of an article pointing out that one region of the country is experiencing below average temperatures is to try to disprove global warming altogether; not to try to chalk it up as part of a natural cycle. That is sheer tomfoolery akin to trying to say that the sun rotates around the Earth.

    8. St Stephen on July 29th, 2009 6:37 pm

As I have posted in past threads, global warming is a reality that not just includes Terra Firma, but the wholle solar system. This planet experienced it in the past and will in the future.

It is not a man-made phenomenon but it is a natural occurrence.

That the politicos see an opportunity to make hay of this doesn’t make it less real. In reality, there is nothing mankind can do to abate the situation, just let nature take its course and adapt to it.

Here is another little nugget re temp changes from the AP…

“Seattle has recorded the hottest temperature in its history.

The National Weather Service recorded 102 degrees at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, breaking a previous record of 100 degrees, set most recently in 1994.

Jay Albrecht with the National Weather Service says that’s the hottest it has been in Seattle since temperatures were first recorded in 1891. He says temperatures could keep climbing.”

    9. Michelle Smith on July 29th, 2009 7:07 pm

#7 That is your opinion. It has never been proven that global warming is man made. We can voice our opinions just as much as you can. The Earth goes through these cycles. It has happened before and will happen again.

    10. Elmer on July 29th, 2009 9:26 pm

Re #8: Very well put, sir! I find myself in agreement with you on this matter.

    11. John on July 30th, 2009 4:01 am

Another liberal consiperacy. I’m willing to stake all my ploar bears on it.

    12. katablog.com on July 30th, 2009 12:14 pm

KS is recording the coolest July ever since record keeping started.

Why do you think the liberals changed from “global warming” to “climate change”? Because unlike what #5 falsely states, it’s been proven that global temperatures are now actually cooling. It’s a weather cycle, not damage done by man.

    13. Elmer on July 30th, 2009 8:59 pm

Re #12: It took me a long time – years – to reach the same conclusion. At one time – I’m sorry to say – I considered Al Gore a visionary. I still think man-made pollution is a bad thing, but I’ve become convinced that the overall picture is much bigger than all of us. Like you say, it’s a cycle, and there’s not much we can do about it one way or the other – except adapt.

    14. rightknight on July 31st, 2009 12:08 am

It is an extremely complicated problem. Few actually
take time to understand it. It works like this:

If the climate takes a turn upwards, the Administration
taxes the living cr*p out of American business and spends
      like a drunken sailor.

However, if the climate takes a turn downward,
the Administration taxes the living cr*p out of
American business and spends like a drunken sailor.

Finally, if the climate remains level, the Administration
taxes the living cr*p out of American business and spends
      like a drunken sailor.

    15. Dolf on August 7th, 2009 7:34 am

I think we can agree that we (human race) are not really helping mother nature.
      _______
SM: Wha? Do you realize how much the EPA does to prevent harm to the environment? Too bad other contries could not claim the same.
