Craigslist should also be held accountable for allowing erotic advertising on their website.
to my knowledge, DA’s in over 20 States have actively tried to stop them from allowing this and now look at the outcome… This young woman is dead and there are possible more victims.
Having been fined, they’ve given their “slime money” to charities…it was in the millions, if I recall… they *Craigslist, should also set up a foundation, in this young womans memory to educate children/public/et all about what can happen if you choose to advertise on their site…
aren’t they’re partly responsible here?… there are not enough words to express how heinous this crime was ~
In first hearing about this on the news, I also feel for the woman and her son, who reported to Copley Hotel security hearing the noise next door in the hotel room ~ she and the Hotel management must be sickened in knowing it resulted in a young womans death, not to mention her son… (maybe policy should be changed in allowing Masseuse’s to bring their own tables into their hotels)…
For the Med student’s girlfriend who’s in major denial ~ is it Megan? She should count her blessings, that she wasn’t a victim as well… my question, would be, if Mr. Charming was abusive to her?… there had to be some signs~

No the “ute”(youth), Markoff is responsible. What you are infering is like saying that the tobacco companies are responsible for people getting cancer when those smokers KNEW what the consequences are! If I were a judge every lawsuit against tobacco would be tossed out as frivilous, same with your inference about Craigslist.
I agree, that Markoff is responsible ~ however, in the sharing your opinion, the comparison is very different… Tobacco is LEGALIZED here, in America ~ Prostitution, and Child trafficking however are NOT legalized.
The Ads on Craigslist add up to millions and millions of dollars in revenue for them ~ this article should be read by everyone, and if you have children, young and adult like this young woman… share it with them.

The statistics and article are very informative and it is staggering the amount of money they make on erotic ads… in this article it also shares that the list in the United States, it is the biggest single source of prostitution. This must stop. Sadly, it’s all about the money.
In your sharing that “smokers KNEW what the consequences are!, I doubt the young woman who put her ad on this listing expected to be murdered that day, by this “ute” (youth) ~ that is truly the tradgedy here…
I was merely suggesting, that a foundation be put in effect in her honor of this young woman who was murdered, to EDUCATE our “ute” and others, of the DANGERS of just exactly what happened here in Boston… Craigslist should lead the way ~
As for my inference, about Craiglist ~ they do bear some responsibility and need to do the right thing and stop these erotic ads ~ so others won’t end up like this young woman… or, use their money to educate ~ I’m sure, DA’s and Judges would back me up on this one… it seems that when over 40 DA’s across this country are screaming about this, something should be done. Loopholes are convenient and $$$ seems to be the bottom line here.
She was not looking to die that day ~ so, I politely disagree. The consequences were great here… no winners here.

He should be on antipsychotics with all the mental problems he must have. There must have been tremendous stress keeping all parts of his life straight. However, I hope he goes to prison instead of psych hospital.
