Boston, MA– Boston Police announced they had a suspect in custody today for the Murder of Julissa Brisman, and will face other charges including kidnapping, illegal posession of a firearm, and probable others.

Obviously this young man is a victim of poverty and reverse racism. He should be let free immediately and the American Justice system needs to be put on trial.
Actions are not an end in themselves. This young man is a total victim of stereotyping and antiquated male bashing.
The goal here is to properly counter blind retributive justice seeking. There is a need to heighten public consciousness of metropolitan interdependencies and to assist in the struggle against recalcitrant racisms.
Watching the news reports about Philip Markoff, the 23 year old former medical student turned murderer, there is an emphasis on his looks. Some describe him as preppy, others as All American, but many actually describe his blonde hair and blue eyes. Of course, the storyline is that he was living a double life, but there is also a not so subtle message that guys that look like him are not murders. I have seen at least three different news segments with psychologists trying to explain how or why this guy went bad.
I already have little respect for the media, but I am always amazed how blind they are to their own reporting. I suspect in the coming days they will do reports on their own reporting, at least I hope so. Or maybe I am not understanding their message. I hope the message I am getting is not the one they intend.
