The Search for Natalee Holloway in Aruba … Golba & Tim Miller (TES) Tensions Between Land and Deep Water Searches

Natalee Holloway has been missing for nearly 4 years in Aruba and suddenly the search activity for the missing Alabama, then high school teen, has taken center stage again. It was recently reported last week that Fred Golba was headed to Aruba with his search dog, Rino, to look in a retention pond area that had been previously searched.

What I found a bit odd when I heard that Golba and Rino were headed to search in Aruba off the tips of a witness that TES helped fins and bring to the US for a polygraph was that Golba was the one actually doing the search. TES and Golba have not seen eye to eye in the past with regards to searches or certification of cadaver dogs.

The fact that Golba went to Aruba for the search was interesting even if he had been there several times in the past. Searches for Natalee are a good thing, as long as their intentions are well intended. However, there might be some tensions being created between Golba and Texas Equusearch by the manner in how Fred Golba went about going to Aruba and following Aruba’s rules according to NBC13. Tim Miller and TES plan on going back to Aruba to continue with the deep water search; however, are concerned that Golba might be damaging potential future searches if he does not follow Aruba’s rules.

Tim Miller and Texas EquuSearch are planning a deep water search on the ocean floor in the next few months.

They’ve raised $1.5 million dollars to go back to Aruba to finish a search that began last March, then stalled when funding ran out.

Underwater rovers will inspect suspicious containers on the ocean bottom that could hold Natalee’s remains.

“We still have 140 plus targets over there. We’re going to be bringing in a 360 ft boat from Trinidad,“ says Miller.

Treasury Sec Geithner Was the Only Man for the Job? Geithner Talks Down Dollar “quite open” New Global Currency to Replace the Dollar

What is the Obama Administration doing … Are they that obtuse or is it intentional?

Barack Obama touted Tim Geithner, Secretary of the Treasury, when he was nominated as too important and the only man in America that could do the job. Really Mr. President, are you sure? Geithner has been nothing short of being over his head and not up to the task. Then again, it would appear so has Barack Obama. This is the individual that is too important to replace? Surely, you can’t be serious.

Geithner_Tim

I was quite open to the $US being replaced as the international reserve currency, before I was against it.

Once again it has occurred where the Obama Administration fails to understand the magnitude of their words. One of the most important jobs of the Treasury Secretary is to defend the US dollar. However, what did Tim Geithner do … talks down the dollar and says that he was “quite open” to a suggestion that the $US be replaced and an international reserve currency.” The result, the US dollar lost value abroad and the stock markets were stunned and tanked.

As if the dollar didn’t have enough problems, Timothy Geithner took China’s bait yesterday and said he was “quite open” to its suggestion this week to displace the greenback with an “international reserve currency.” The dollar promptly fell and stocks followed, before the Treasury Secretary re-emerged to say “the dollar remains the world’s dominant reserve currency. I think that’s likely to continue for a long time.”

Mr. Geithner is learning on the job, and yesterday’s lesson is that it isn’t smart to fool with currency markets when you are already tempting fate with a gigantic U.S. reflation. Treasury and the Federal Reserve are flooding the world with dollars to break the recession, and the world is rightly getting nervous.

Geithner made these comments when answering a question to something he had not even read. Sounds a lot like the Stimulus bill that no politician read either prior to signing. As The Corner states, Geithner is obviously Obama’s fall guy for the economy and at some point will be thrown under the bus; however, until that occurs could someone “keep him duct-taped to a chair in the basement”.

“I haven’t read the governor’s proposal. He’s a very thoughtful, very careful distinguished central banker. I generally find him sensible on every issue,” Geithner said, saying that however his interpretation of the proposal was to increase the use of International Monetary Fund’s special drawing rights — shares in the body held by its members — not creating a new currency in the literal sense.

“We’re actually quite open to that suggestion – you should see it as rather evolutionary rather building on the current architecture rather than moving us to global monetary union,” he said.

Geithner later clarified his comments; however, the fact that a sitting United States Secretary of the Treasury would even entertain thoughts that the US dollar would cease being the anchor of the global monetary system should cause all to be alarmed.

“The mere fact that the US Treasury Secretary is even entertaining thoughts that the dollar may cease being the anchor of the global monetary system has caused consternation,” he said.

Mr Geithner later qualified his remarks, insisting that the dollar would remain the “world’s dominant reserve currency … for a long period of time” but the seeds of doubt have been sown.

Because this is Good for America … Obama to Tax Wealthy on Charitable Givings

TAXING OF CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS … MORE OBAMA CHANGE:

Think that this is change you can believe in … reducing tax deductions on the wealthy who make charitable donations.  What does Obama have against the wealthy? Who does he think makes charitable contributions but people who actually have money to give, especially during hard economic times.

President Barack Obama is defending a budget idea that would reduce the tax deduction that wealthier families can take when they make charitable donations.

Obama says the plan is “the right thing to do.”

Speaking at a prime-time news conference, the president said the change in tax policy would be realistic and fairer to lower-earning families that make charitable gifts but get a smaller tax deduction. Some lawmakers don’t like the idea. They say it could hurt donations to needy groups in a time of need.

With non-profits already struggling to bring on charitable contribution, Barack Obama in his infinite wisdom looks to make it even harder. Why would anyone want charities to get less money? Maybe because in Obama’s socialist America, those in need are forced to look to the government, not those who actually care and provide services.

Now Government is in the Business of Bailing Out Failed Newspapers … The Cardin Newspaper Revitalization Act

Why do Democrats want to subsidize and prop up failing newspapers?

A bailout for Newspapers? Surely you can’t be serious. The Cardin Newspaper Revitalization Act would do just that. We will now waste tax payer dollars on institutions that have become obsolete. There is a reason why print news is falling by the wayside, it’s called the internet. Funny, I do not remember the Democrats trying to keep 8 track tapes in business. What could possibly be the motivation for Democrats? Could it possibly be it’s because the newspaper is their mouthpiece?

With many U.S. newspapers struggling to survive, a Democratic senator on Tuesday introduced a bill to help them by allowing newspaper companies to restructure as nonprofits with a variety of tax breaks.

“This may not be the optimal choice for some major newspapers or corporate media chains but it should be an option for many newspapers that are struggling to stay afloat,” said Senator Benjamin Cardin.
