PDS at its Worse: House Dem Charlie Rangel calls Palin Disabled … However, According to Biden … Rangel is not Patriotic

A NEW LOW …

A note to Charles Rangel and Democrats … since when is having a disability a bad thing or something to be mocked? Gee Charlie … how do you really feel about the disabled? You think its OK to make fun of the disabled like its a childish joke!!!

Rangel_Charlie

Me, make fun of disabled people and use them as the brunt of a political joke … NEVER!!! Ok, well maybe …

Palin Delusional Syndrome at its worst … Democrats just cannot help themselves when it comes to Sarah Palin or are they truly that evil? If anyone thinks that the obvious references to Palin by Obama when making the comment of lipsticking a pig, or Michelle Obama commenting “she’s cute” were not direct person attacks against Sarah Palin then you need to put the Kool-Aide down. One needs to look no further than the rotten, disgusting and hateful comment made on Friday by Democratic Congressman Charlie Rangel.Repulsive and utterly disgusting!

The LEFT at every turn has tried to smear Sarah Palin ever since she made history and became the first women ever picked to be a Vice President. The deraogatory smears toward Palin  have included an unfit mother, a pig with lipstick, a pedophilewhite trash, a porn star and now disabled. Disabled? Democrats think that is bad?

Astonishingly enough, Manhattan Democrat Congressman Charles Rangel really actually called Sarah Palin disabled. What is actually wrong with these people? They are not stupid. Politicians use their words carefully, they just do not think people will call them on their hateful words. The fact that everyone in the free world and many in the not so free know that Sarah Palin has a special needs child, Trig, with Downs Syndrome. The idea that Rangel would make such an insensitive comment is as repulsive and uncaring as it gets.

Sarah, Trig & Todd Palin

In a CBS 2 HD exclusive interview, Rep. Rangel called Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin “disabled.”

The question was simple: Why are the Democrats so afraid of Palin and her popularity?

The answer was astonishing.

“You got to be kind to the disabled,” Rangel said.

That’s right. The chairman of the powerful House Ways & Means Committee called Palin disabled — even when CBS 2 HD called him on it.

CBS 2 HD: “You got to be kind to the disabled?”

Rangel: “Yes.”

CBS 2 HD: “She’s disabled?”

Rangel: “There’s no question about it politically. It’s a nightmare to think that a person’s foreign policy is based on their ability to look at Russia from where they live.”

As the Ace of Spades so appropriately states, Man Who Didn’t Realize $5000 Per Year in Luxury-Home Rentals Was Taxable Income Calls Sarah Palin Mentally “Disabled.” Amen! Interestingly enough, Democratic VP candidate just the other day said that paying taxes was patriotic … I guess Rangel you are neither a Patriot or human.

And in true guttless fashion, the Rangel spin machine was in full action trying to explain away his hateful comments. BS, Rangel … you care about as much for the disabled as you do about declaring your taxes. You would make fun of the disabled, but would you do the same with tax cheats and people facing House Ethics Committee?

Later Friday, Rangel issued a statement saying “disabled” wasn’t the word he meant to use.

“Governor Palin is an obviously healthy person who in no way fits the description of disabled. I meant to say then, and I am saying now, that she entered the campaign with a disadvantage in the area of foreign policy,” Rangel said in a statement.

“Any inference that my words were in any connected to her son, Trig, who was born with Down syndrome, is a real stretch — and, I would have to think — a way to make political points out of my poor choice of words,” he added.

      Comments from Peter King …

King, who is co-chair of the McCain-Palin campaign in New York, watched Rangel’s comments with CBS 2 HD. He was particularly upset because Palin’s 4-month-old son, Trig, is disabled. He has Down syndrome.

“We should be sensitive to her or any woman who has a child or family member who has any affliction at all,” King said. “And so to use the word disabled in the context of a female candidate for vice president who has a child who is disabled really is wrong. Charlie owes her and the entire disabled community and apology.”

Advocates for the disabled are also upset.

It actually does not get any more creepy than this. A politician who thinks he can act like Howard Stern and make rotten jokes about people and think its ok and just say, my bad and get away with it.

I guess its OK when you say it about a white woman. Imagine, just imagine if a Republican said this. Now imagine they said it toward Obama?

OK, first question … why is being disabled a bad thing or to be used as a joke? Wasn’t FDR disabled? Oh, that’s right he was only a 4 term President.

Why does Rangel think disabled people are useless? Obviously, that is what he thinks. Who the hell goes on TV and makes such a comment. This was no gotcha moment.

Rangel should be thrown out of the House. How many disabled adults and children are there in the USA? Let alone that he tried to avoid taxes … and oh yea he is the Chairman of the Committee on Ways and Means.

I’m sorry, Peter King notwithstanding, should I cast my vote for Sen. McCain, it will NOT be a sympathy vote, which he appears to be desperately courting.

We need solid leadership in these times and personally I don’t care what personal situation any politician is in, let alone Gov Palin. We all have trials and tribulations, and I will not be swayed by anyone’s personal problems.

I will be judging on the Presidential candidates platform and what action HE will take once in office. So keep your Kleenex, I am not teary-eyed nor do I wear my heart on my proverbial sleeve.

Two men are running for president in a very serious time, in domestic and foreign crisis, and I do not have time for this boo-hoo c*apola that is being spoonfed. Please try to keep this in the National Enquirer and give us substance instead of fluff.

Thanx and have a great weekend.

One thing for sure..all these left wing looneys put the A$$ in unclassy..

This one is even funnier..He works on the committee that writes tax laws… failed to turn in income among other things and was caught at it. He refuses to step down, Nancy Pelosi told him to.. He wouldn’t.. and then he does a story blaming Guerilla War by the Republicans for his problems.. like I said … the a$$ in uncla$$sy

By DEVLIN BARRETT, Associated Press Writer
Fri Sep 19, 6:08 PM ET

WASHINGTON – Rep. Charles Rangel wrote six checks for about $10,800 in back taxes, and then penned an open letter to New Yorkers Friday, saying he has done nothing dishonorable and is the target of a GOP “guerrilla war.”

Rangel, the dean of the New York congressional delegation, has faced a string of embarrassing revelations — he didn’t pay taxes on rental income for a beach house in the Dominican Republic; he used three rent-stabilized apartments in Harlem, including one for a campaign office; he used his congressional stationery to drum up private donations to a college center named after him.

He ended up writing a number of checks to cover taxes due on his 2004, 2005, and 2006 returns, related to the unreported rental income, said his chief of staff, George Dalley.

The federal government tab ended up being $4,803, according to Rangel’s accountants, while he wrote checks totaling $6,022 to New York State. The state figure includes a small percentage owed to the New York City authorities.

Penalties and interest were not included in those payments, Dalley said.

“If the IRS chooses to impose them, of course he’ll readily pay them,” said Dalley.

As he paid the taxman, Rangel also tried to assure constituents he did nothing to shame his office.

“I’ve never violated the public trust, so I’m not worried,” Rangel wrote in a letter, e-mailed by his campaign.

A House ethics committee plans to investigate, and Republicans have called for the 19-term congressman to be removed from his powerful position as chairman of the tax-writing Ways and Means Committee. After private meetings with House Democratic leaders earlier this week, Rangel was able to keep the post.

“Last July, the Republican Party declared guerrilla war against Democrats and since then has made every effort to smear me and members of my party,” Rangel wrote in the letter.

“My record in the Ways and Means Committee and 38 years in Congress is unassailable, so they’ve pried into my private life and used insinuation and half-truths to write stories that sell papers,” Rangel wrote.

Maggie, what a beautiful message that young man has. Thank you.

SM: correction: Geraldine Ferraro was first women to be nominated VP on Walter Mondale’s ticket in the 1980′s.

I have never seen such a thing as what the left is doing with putting down Palin. It’s indescribable and something never seen in history. The vitriol hate spewed from the left shows that they are indeed the party of hate. No one from the left would stand for people calling either Biden or Obama these types of names.

Palin didn’t plagiarize anything and she certainly doesn’t offer a gaffe a minute like another VP candidate. It’s sad that Obama and his supporters are so threatened by this woman that they are now running against her.

They haven’t scored any points with this Disabled White Trash Voter Clinging to her Guns and Religion. Calling names is so kindergarten.

I am not voting for Palin because the left is picking on her (that only tells me that my opinion of her is right), I’m voting for her because she seems to be one put together lady who isn’t afraid to buck the establishment (something we totally need to get rid of) and say what she thinks.

Oh and to add some more irony: Chris Dodd, chairman of the Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee (let’s quickly check here what that committee does: The Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee has a broad jurisdiction of our nation’s financial institutions…
Chris Dodd goes on GMA and tells the nation that he’s shocked when told the financial system is a moment from meltdown. Here’s the dude in charge of jurisdiction of the financial institutions not knowing what condition the financial institutions are in. Guess he was too busy calculating his and Barack Obama’s contributions and Dodd’s sweetheart mortgage deals to pay attention to his actual responsibilities.

Having done volunteer work for the Special Olympics and having dealt with the disabled, I find Rangel’s comments beyond offensive. I guess Rangel is only interested in offensive comments when it comes to one’s color … not if one has a disability.

CBS 2 HD Has Learned Democrats Threatened To Attack Jewish Groups’ Tax Exempt Status Over VP Nominee Invite

      Reporting

      Marcia Kramer

NEW YORK (CBS) ? Hillary Clinton won’t be speaking at Monday’s anti-Iran rally at the United Nations — and neither will Republican Sarah Palin or any other politicians for that matter.

The reason? A heated behind the scenes tug-of-war.

Sources tell CBS 2 HD that a decision to disinvite Palin from the high profile rally after Clinton pulled out in a huff came as the result of intense pressure from Democrats.

“This is insulting. This is embarrassing, especially to Gov. Palin, to me and I think it should be to every single New Yorker,” Assemblyman Dov Hikind, D-Brooklyn, told CBS 2 HD.

Sources say the axes were out for Palin as soon as Sen. Clinton pulled out because she did not want to attend the same event as the Republican vice presidential candidate.

“I have never seen such raw emotion — on both sides,” said someone close to the situation.

The groups sponsoring the rally against Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad speaking at the UN were reportedly told, “it could jeopardize their tax exempt status” if they had Palin and not Clinton or Democratic VP candidate Joe Biden on hand.

So all politicians were disinvited, most prominently, Palin.

“It’s an absolute shame that this has happened,” Hikind said. “To threaten organizations … to threaten the Conference of Presidents that if you don’t withdraw the invitation to Gov. Palin we’re going to look into your tax exempt status … that’s McCarthyism.”

Another Jewish group tried to step into the breach by inviting Palin to a different protest a day earlier.

“I’m absolutely appalled at the behavior of the Democrats,” said Bob Kunst of Defenders.net. “I’m a Democrat and for the first time in my life I’m going to vote Republican. I can’t take it anymore.”

As for Sen. Clinton, she brushed right past CBS 2 HD’s Lou Young when he tried to ask her about the issue on Thursday night.

Lou Young: “Were the organizers of Monday’s rally right to depoliticize it?”

Clinton walked past Young, said “Thank you all very much” and started hugging people.

Clinton’s people tell CBS 2 HD she intends to make some statement of support for the protestors. She is also expected to attack Ahmadinejad’s pro-nuke, anti-Israel stance.

I’m sure this guy has plenty of disabled constituents. They should call for his resignation. He might be surprised to find out how big a voting block they are, not to mention friends and family of those with a disability. Too bad politicians don’t get tarred and feathered and run out of town on a rail anymore.

#3 Kay Zee – sympathy? That’s not even what this article is about! Try simple human dignity. No one said anything about voting for president on the basis of sympathy, just treating those less fortunate with a little compassion and respect.

It is no gaffe … it has happened so often and pointed toward Sarah Palin and her family every single time that it is a concerted pattern.

This reminds of the BS that happened in Aruba every time the truth came out and the ALE and govt quickly back tracked calling it a mis-translation or the US not understanding Dutch Law.

      I say…
I don’t have to tuck anything in. It’s a play for the sympathy vote, period. I see that my observation is not politically correct enough for you. Dry yer eyes and get over it, already.

These ploys have been used by both sides for as long as there have been elections. Some Dem war hero named Duckworth tried to gain a sympathy vote by not wearing pants to cover the legs she lost in the war while running for office in Illinois, just wore a dress. Sorry, that didn’t work either.

We honor our veterans’ sacrifices that they make and love them for the brave warriors and patriots that they are, but politics can’t be decided by sympathy, but who does the best job. And to be brutally frank about it, it’s McCain that has to perform for the American people and be worthy of the office, not Palin. She HAS to take a back seat to him or he will lose no matter how solid his programs are.

I’m just calling a spade a spade, so to speak.(oops!)

Rangel is a disgrace. The more he talks, the more he makes a fool out of himself. Maybe he was trying to deflect attention away from his illegal tax fraud?
