It appears that there is another missing person in Aruba. This time its one of their own. Jose Manuel Vicenzo Tromp has been missing in Aruba since November 27, 2007. Will the ALE care to investigate this case of an Aruban missing in Aruba? Its not like it will affect tourism, so one wonders whether it will be swept under the rug.
According to Tim Miller of TES, the family has contacted Texas EquuSearch to come to Aruba and help search for missing Jose Manuel Vencenzo Tromp. Texas Equusearch who went to Aruba multiple times in search of Natalee Holloway may now being going back to Aruna to search for one of Aruba’s own.
Jose Manuel Vicenzo Tromp, age 30, disappeared on Tuesday, November 27, 2007 in Oranjestad, Aruba and has not been seen or heard from since. Jose was last seen wearing dark blue tennis shorts, a gray t-shirt and black slippers.

Maybe this young man has a connection to Roy Tromp. Roy Tromp was Paulus van der Sloots interrogator. I do not believe he has been seen since his implicating words.

My initial instinct is to look at this as a drug deal gone bad … who knows? Just think if this guy had connections to Pitbull or the Pimps.

I realize that a lot of folks are angry with Aruba and the ALE but from what all I have seen from TES and Tim Miller he urges the group to remain out of the political end of this and they search for THE MISSING PERSON ! this is there focus and their speciality .
My only and MAJOR concern is the legal system that The group TES might have to deal with those Aruba courts are crazy IMO.
I think its important that every one consider the fact that they did call TES and Tim Miller for help.
Folks, that’s a good sign. This is what it takes sometimes for people to change and do the right thing. This is how hearts and minds are changed.
Please note that the family has expressed concern that Natalee be found. I am sure there will be more to come on this.
I could imagine that the powers that be were probably none to happy with a request for TES to help search. No matter, Tim Miller has always stated in the past that all missing persons are important and all should be found.
Building bridges is always important. Many times its not with politicians, its with the people. Trust is not always an accepted thing in many places of the world.
Arubans were brainwashed that the efforts were being made only because Natalee was American. I can remember in the early days of this case (like day 1-2) Arubans were commenting on the FP that no such effort would ever been made if one of their own had gone missing.
Well now they may just get the same group searching for one of their own.

Maybe, maybe, a local Aruban may have enough compassion for Natalee that Tim has for Jose, to share some knowledge about the what and where of Natalee.

Wow!! I am dissappointed in some of the posts. Why wouldn’t Tim Miller go help this family find their loved one. Didn’t we experience first hand the devastation of not knowing where your loved one is or what happened through Natalee’s family? I say God Bless Tim Miller for being the hero he is. His compassion and empathy formed through his own lost has made him a living angel in my mind. Goodness, a family is in pain right now, I don’t care where they live, they are in pain and need help!!

Maybe Tim Miller could help them by getting some good citizens from the ABC islands together and teaching them how to organize a search and get a Caribbean Search team together to help with cases like Amy, Bud, Natalee, Joel, Jose and any others. You know, the teach a man to fish theory. They may not have the number of missing persons the U.S. has, but wouldn’t it be great if there was a private organization in the region that would help locals and tourists in need.
Is it possible that Jose ran off with a girlfriend because he was pregnant with his stepdads kid? I heard that Paulus was sent a letter from Jose outlining that Jose was going to have a kid and that he wanted to get away.
Is it possible that Jose deserved it…because he got into a car with three boys?
Is it possible that this is all just an insurance scam and Jose is right now basking in Cancun waiting for a check?

Tromp is a very common last name in Aruba. Even more common than “Smith” in the U.S. Every other person on the island has a last name of Tromp or Croes. SO, I dont think he is related to that interrogator.
As some of you said above, life has no value in Aruba and the police force will not waste their time looking for a missing person. They are too busy doing NOTHING. I have seen this young man’s missing brochures in many places on the island, but really never heard anything more about it. So, that’s why I think the family asked Tim Miller for help. Otherwise, this case has pretty much been a forgotten case on the island. So sad. As for Tim Miller, I think he will help anyone regardless of Nationality. But again he wont have any cooperation from the government and the police force. So sad.

It is true, they have a total lack of disregard or respect for human life. No victim or family should have to go through what Natalee and her family have endured for 3 years. Aruban authorities blame the victims instead of the criminals. Put the victims no matter what they look like on the front page. It would be interesting to really hear what people in prison are doing time for there and how many were possibly doing time like the guards. Look what all the people involved in Natalee’s case were engaged in,, none doing time for anything.

If Jose worked for the KIA that could be the reason why he is missing and the ALE probably knows what happened…..just like they knew about Natalee…and like someone said the ALE is no doubt fuming with the phone call made to Tim…..he is good man and would not allow a persons nationality to interfer….however I would be greatly concerned about his safety and the family also needs to be careful….there are bad things that happen over there….

I don’t really know what kind of a position this would put Tim in, we know how Aruba doesn’t want us over there searching, Dompig wouldn’t make the phone call so he could get the equipment needed for the water search for Natalee, ran off our FBI, Beth was protested against and ran off, they took Greta’s cameras when she got off the plane, got angry over the turtle nests and the water bottles, we probably even got blamed for the Persistence being there and having an effect on tourism….if Tim goes they might try to blame him for something he didn’t do and put him in jail….and there would be no one to help him….or disappear

As I said above, an early investigator for the Holloway Twitty family, TJ Ward, was threatened by Aruba for searching for Natalee without having a local license to do so.
Could Tim Miller face the same danger? If not, why not … unless what matters to Aruba is how high-profile the case is?
What efforts have been made by Aruban law enforcement in this case? If none … that should be publicized on the island.
Don’t worry, folks … ALE will let this case go on a few more months, and then will tell the family that Aruba doesn’t have any jurisdiction over it anyway … if they’re not happy with the lack of results, they should go talk to the Dutch.

Don, what is heartless is the way your gov’t and Ale treated Natalee’s family, 3 yrs later and Joran and the Kalpoes walk freely…last seen with her and never returned her to hotel, that is kidnapping, Joran said she was in an out of consciousness but yet he had sex with her anyway, that is rape, never summoned help for her when she was having seizures, dumped her in ocean and didn’t know if she was alive or dead, he admits to all of this but never prosecuted….that is heartless…
We have asked for information concerning Jose, no one wants to hear about a missing person, it’s horrible and yes we feel bad for the family, we saw what Beth went through, the pain had to be unbearable….
Don you aren’t biased? If wanting the long overdue justice denied Natalee and her family by Aruban authorities makes one bias, then I guess we are. It starts out with why was Straten handling this case, when he worked with Paulus for years and was a friend of the family? Why was a narcotics cop(and I use that term loosely describing him) handling Natalee’s case? Why after Straten was taken off the case and told not to have anything to do with it, seen going in meeting with Dompig about it? Why was Dompig handling this case when he is related to the Kalpoes and Boeti, not to mention his son is friends with Joran? Why was Arlene Shippers, paid Aruban spokesman seen lying on tv more than once, given access to police files and sent to the USA to brief people about what was going on in the case, when her cousin Guido was named a suspect and was a friend of Joran’s? How about the Judge who is a friend of Paulus’s that changed the search warrant? How about arresting 2 black security guards, who didn’t know Natalee, for kidnapping and murder after the tape showed Natalee didn’t return ? Makes one wonder what they all have on each other.
We are so heartless here, that an Aruban family has asked people from the USA to try to find their missing loved one in Aruba.

I have posted numerous times about my love for the Island of Aruba and my fond memories there since I honeymooned one year prior to the NH crime.
I do not believe that everyone there is held accountable, and most of the locals are decent people which work hard to support the tourists.
Please don’t lump every “Monkey” into the same category ( I do realize you said “some”).
With that being said-the atrocity of this crime has had such an effect on so many people and really, what is disheartening about it is that IT DIDN’T HAVE TO BE THIS WAY !! It still doesn’t, but it’s been so long now I truly wonder if the WHOLE truth will ever come out. Doubt it.
I for one will NEVER go back to Aruba again UNTIL the proper justice is served.

It’s not about the locals it’s about the corruption in the gov’t and the ALE, although support from the locals would of been more than helpful…the crime there has been going on for years….but little did we know until the disappearance of Natalee…!!!! This young man may be related to the Tromp that blew the whistle on Van der Sloot. He wouldn’t be the first one to be found dead or disappeared under unusual circumstances.
In my honest opinion, I think Paulus has been trafficking people in and out of Aruba and the Netherlands for years. He is very powerful among the organized crime circuit in Aruba. He’s no judge, he was a clerk in the immigration department and the Dutch have openly stated that the immigration records do not match the population. Why do you think he was checking out Natalee at the casino that night, and, why do you think she went missing, hours later, in the company of his son?
Hell, his house looks like a concentration camp! Is it possible that he was trafficking girls for, both, the prostitution ring as well as for the Arawak Indian? I, honestly, don’t think that it would make much difference to him one way or the other. He is a heartless piece of shit that doesn’t even care about his own family. His son would go to prison for him…. but would he do the same, for his son?

I remember seeing the picture taken in their living room with Joe Tacapino, a laundry basket in the living room, the clock was crooked hanging on the wall, a tripod with a camera in the background, Paulus’s zipper was down, I don’t know who took the picture but it managed to get to us… I guess they don’t care about how things look….you would of thought whoever took that picture they would of said something to Paulus about his zipper…maybe it was meant to be down….one of his sick messages….who knows!!! Maybe Joran took the picture….!!!!

I think the reason Sloot sweated was the same reason anyone else would… he was under the spot light. How many times do the Aruban officials even bother to file a missing person report? Isn’t it true that they are of the opinion that anyone that has gone missing, has gone on vacation? They don’t investigate ANY of the missing person reports… not even their own. I’m almost possitive that Paulus had never seen anything like it… over ‘just one girl’ (a very special girl) and has never had to handle any pressure from ALE, the police or anyone else. That’s why the women were jealous of Natalee. None of their girls got that kind of publicity… which is a sad statement all by itself.
I think its a kick that Tim Miller is the only person this young man’s family thought of to call for help. While many of us think that all the people of Aruba are the same… I think there are, atleast, one or two that can see past our anger, our weird sense of humor; and see that we are genuinely concerned and willing to help in any way we can to assist the family find Natalee. And when you think about Tim Miller, that generous empathy is 100 fold… all inclusive. He knows what it’s like to have a missing child and is wise enough to know the feeling is the same, no matter what your nationality.
I disagree that it makes us look like fools. It makes us look, just as we act, humane.
