Boston Travel Show Part II: Aruba’s Travel Marketing Campaign vs Freedom of Speech

For those that missed it over the weekend, check out Scared Monkeys at the Boston Travel Show reminding Aruba, No Justice For Natalee Holloway … No Tourism For Aruba. A tremendous job by all who attended in support of Natalee and her family. I believe Aruba heard you loud and clear. The power of freedom of speech on display in Boston, MA.

Aruba, you have all the information and evidence that you need to prosecute Joran Van der Sloot. Its time you act or risk further tourism woes.

Looks like the weather was even on the Monkeys’ side. While it was cold for you and probably hard to get around, think of all the people that didn’t go to the show!

ARUBA — WE HAVE FREEDOM OF SPEECH H-E-R-E.

IN KEEPING WITH OUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS, I THINK YOUR CORRUPT ISLAND IS RUN BY A GANG OF CRIMINAL TWITS WHO A-L-L OUGHT TO BE SITTING IN PRISON RIGHT ABOUT NOW.

      THANK YOU.

      HAVE ANOTHER NICE, DOLLARLESS DAY.

      The word is SPREADING!!!!
Thanks for Scared Monkeys & bloggers devotion!

LOL, just incase they were sleeping in, I looked at both bucutic and tara beach at 6:00pm tonight and there’s ONE lone soul walking the beach.

    6. Patti on February 25th, 2008 4:16 pm

And thank God we have it. It is through free speech that we spread the word about Natalee Holloway, our local concerns and our political viewpoints. It is a right for every U.S. Citizen to speak their minds.

We will keep this boycott going until there is justice in Aruba… another right that we cherish in this country, unlike Aruba.

      .

      Boycott!

      Justice… not, Just US!

    10. WHERE'S NATALEE, AZZHOLE JORAN? on February 25th, 2008 6:47 pm

I WOULD SURE BE THERE IF I COULD — I LOVED WATCHING THE TAPE OF THAT ARUBA REP SWEATIN’ IT, WHEN ‘OBSERVER’ SHOWED UP.

AND IF THAT OTHER ARUBAN TWIT TRIED TO INTIMIDATE ME ABOUT HANDING OUT NATALEE LITERATURE, I’D HAND HER MY CELL PHONE AND SAY “HERE — WHY DON’T YOU CALL THE COPS? THEY’LL ACTUALLY RESPOND HERE, AND I’M SURE YOU’D LOVE A LITTLE MORE PUBLICITY.”

    11. TheOneEyedMan on February 25th, 2008 8:07 pm

Aruba’s leadership has failed its people. their
law enforcement an embarassment to the world.

    12. WHERE'S NATALEE, AZZHOLE JORAN? on February 25th, 2008 8:37 pm

THEY HAVE NO LAW ENFORCEMENT, ONLY CORRUPTION TO THE CORE.

Heed the comments of JusticeforNatalee, folks.

You think that posting on this blog is performing a public service? In my eyes, getting out there and thrusting the truth in the eyes and faces of other people … REMINDING people about the case and WARNING them about the obvious dangers of Aruba … that comprises a worthwhile activity.

It’s fine to post comments on a blog.

Do you think most people read here?

Let’s do something real … show up in New York, or, if we can’t, support those who do.

      Send in pledges to JusticeforNatalee@gmail.com.
Believe me (and I know), the money will be put to good use. Stand up for Natalee! Stand up for justice and decency. Help stick it to Aruba.

      Arubans are intelligent people.
Americans are too intelligent to let a case of a missing person ruin their vacation in paradise.

Hotels are 77% full, mega cruise lines everyday in harbour,1,2,3,4 daily.

europeans used to high euro find aruba perfect destination, sun, sugar white beaches, casinos,
      best restaurants,nice people,5 star hotels,watersports,kitesurfing,windsurfing,safari jeep tours,quadracer tours,scuba diving,parachute sailing,horseback tours,submarine dives.jetskys,ect.ect…
they love it, most of them come back every year.

Come and enjoy a wonderfull vacation.
      Buy you timeshare….
      Buy ahouse in paradise….

SM: So how much does the ATA pay you to promote ficticious data regarding Aruba. You may want to take a look at the real numbers. If you think that the invcreases are good, you are nuts. Aruba is not even back to pre-Natalee Holloway tourism #’s.

Data on the average occupancy rate of hotels show a decrease of 1.4 percentage points to 72.9
percent in December 2007, compared to a year earlier. The average occupancy rate for the year
2007, compared to 2006, rose by 0.5 percentage point to 77.3 percent. Cruise Tourism Authority
reported a decline in both the number of cruise passengers and ship calls of, respectively, 8.3 percent
and 11.8 percent in December 2007, compared to the corresponding month of 2006. For 2007 as a
whole, the number of cruise passengers dropped by 18.5 percent to 481,775, while the number of
      ship calls remained virtually unchanged.

Hey Larry – Where’s deep throat?

You said in September 2006 on GMA: “A Deep Throat coming forward right now with information as to, basically, who did it and he’s, it’s very exciting, we’re hoping it pans out. I’m doing my due diligence right now.”

In the same broadcast you also said: “This is someone very credible. Holland has no idea about it. He’s still bringing up old names, which we’re very pleased that he is and I’m going to do my due diligence before I release anything.”

Larry, I am assuming (since it was 1 1/2 years ago) that you did your due dilligence. But guess what – you released nothing. Nada. Zip.
So…who was this “very credible” deep throat????

      Thank you in advance.
