Why blame the victims when the suspects are right in front of your nose? Go to the US? The story, the suspects and the crime are all right there in Aruba.
Renee Gielen announced last week in the Amigoe that she was working on a documentary on the Natalee Holloway case and that she will also go to the US especially for this to further investigate. Of course her theories have been widely criticized as a joke. Instead of heading to the US, Gielen may want to stay on the Caribbean island of Aruba where the suspects of the crime actually reside.

ORANJESTAD/WILLEMSTAD – These exclusive pictures are from Renée Gielen, TV-producer and documentary maker, who lives and works in Curacao. She has been following the Holloway-case from the beginning in May of 2005. She was one of the few people that knew that Joran van der Sloot’s flight from the Netherlands to Aruba was going to make a stopover in Curacao last Friday. While at the airport of Aruba, all sorts of camera crew, photographers, and journalists were waiting in vain for his arrival.
Van der Sloot arrived with KLM in Curacao on Friday afternoon. According to reports, he was the first passenger to enter the airplane in Schiphol and was the last one to leave the aircraft after landing in Curacao. He left for Aruba with Dutch Antilles Express (DAE) a few hours later, all this time escorted by the Aruban chief of police Dolphi Richardson.
Gielen, who took the pictures, has also made TV-recordings. She has been working for 2.5 years on this matter and she has witnessed the presence of the American broadcasting stations CNN, Fox News, NBC, and CBS. Gielen announced last week Saturday in the Amigoe that she is working on a documentary on the Holloway-case and that she will also go to the US especially for this. She has hours of visual material. Her statements about the possible drug-addiction past of Natalee – based on declarations of her stepfather Jug Twitty and his friend Mitch to the by now former cabdriver Trina – has caused Gielen a whole lot of criticism; especially from Telegraaf-crime-journalist John van den Heuvel, who swept the floor with her in his column on the website of De Telegraaf. He doesn’t believe anything from her theory and assertions. He literally quotes text from the Amigoe, without naming the Antillean/Aruban newspaper as the source.
Other than Gielen, was Vigilante the only newspaper in Curacao that has pictures of Van der Sloot’s stopover in Curacao. The morning paper Vigilante that is specialized in local police- and justice news, was clever enough to buy a ticket and so get into the departure hall of Curaçao International Airport and recorded Van der Sloot and his escort sitting at a gate. These images were spread through the world via CNN, who also mentioned their source.

Greta interviews Hans Mos. Here’s an exerpt:
VAN SUSTEREN: Since you’ve been here, you’ve actually sort of surprised all of us when a press release came out saying that there had been new evidence that has led to the arrests. How do you define new evidence?
MOS: New evidence is evidence that we didn’t have before. As simple as that.
VAN SUSTEREN: All right. And does it have to be of a compelling nature? Or can — I mean, does it have to be — is it sort of damning evidence, like, evidence that would make a prosecutor think, Oh, my God, you know, now I know — now I’ve got the goods?
MOS: Depends on the case and depends how far you came in the past. You know that the evidence in murder cases could hang up to just one hair of a suspect. And that is just a very small piece of evidence, but it’s very important. And what we gave to the judge is evidence, and it was enough to arrest these guys again after two years, after they had been freed by the court in Curacao. So the judge weighed this evidence. And of course, when you arrest a person two years later, after he’s been freed, you have to have some serious stuff. And that’s exactly what we handed over to the judge.

if you’re based in Curacao, do a documentary on the kidnapping of Amy Bradley from the cruise ship that docked there in 1998. But I bet you wouldn’t dare, would you?
RSHA, number 4, the Amy Bradley case is what caused me to suspect something similar in Natalee’s fate. But what we’re hearing from the Dutch, at least, suggests it isn’t so.
I’m still keeping an open mind, though.

I’m a person who loves to travel. On my latest trip to Italy I discussed Natalee with our tour guide. She mentioned that crime happens in every country but that Aruba billed itself to be such a crime-free place. I spoke to many travellers on the trip. People from all English speaking countries–New Zealand, Australia, Canada, South Afica and the USA. Not one plans to travel to Aruba until there is Justice for Natalee Holloway.

Contrary to what you say, you are worrying about the case and about what is being said, given that you bothered to come here, read and post on how you think people that are not dignataries or celebrities do not deserve attention. Renee Gielen is a good contact, she knew what flights Joran was on (KLM) first class no less.
She has the bug to make money off of this tragedy as well. I know the corruption on these islands first hand. Tourism is an important part of Aruba but it is not just American tourist that go there. Aruba unlike some other island can depend on their oil refineries and tourism from South America and Europe. They will take care of their own. Transparency will come some day but not in the near future.

Just watched Greta’s interview with Hans Mos and my initial reaction was that the man sincerely wants to see the case solved, and I do not think the decision to rearrest these evil punks was taken lightly. He indicated that they will have to prosecute or dismiss Dec 31 (unless new important evidence turns up) but my question to anyone out there who maybe knows more about the law than I do is: What happens if these three refuse to answer the questions and keep silent?
Hans Mos indicated he was looking for clarification of certain things from these three, but its quite likely he won’t get it. In my opinion these three are hard boiled liers and criminals and they know the score. That is why I am so hoping that there is even one hair of physical evidence, and I hope Hans Mos is not setting too much score on Natalee’s body being found because I’m sorry but I think its really too much of a longshot after two and a half years although I pray I am wrong.

You know, Melissa is right…why would they care about any new break in the “missing girl” case. For people like her, PVD and Co., it is just a regular thing to discount human life. This is a society (as a general observation) that allows school age “children” to go out gambling, drinking, doing drugs at all hours..well, in Joran’s case..partying until he has to catch the bus for school. I must be honest though, and say that if the US doesn’t make some hasty changes concerning our children and their extracurricular activities, we too will end up as a society that will not be stirred in the least about any “missing girl”, boy, person. We too will just throw up our hands and defend our deliquents.
Notice how, like most psychopath murderers, these people fail to give “the girl” a name…that alone speaks volumes about some of these people. Unfortunately these horrible traits seem to rest in the laps of the power players on the island and it is ruining the reputation of them all. #39 – I think a lot of people believe that is a possibility. But that doesn’t change the fact that the 3 jokers were last with her and their stories don’t match up. Their stories don’t match because some or all of them are not telling the truth. So if she has been sold into slavery, one or all (and I think most people believe all) know what happened to her. If the truth is told, Natalee can be found, whether that be in another country or the bottom of the ocean.

#52 Richard, that show about Human Trafficking is a movie with fictional characters but it was carefully based on reality of how it all goes down and how hard it is to find and actually rescue someone. It was made to draw attention to sex trade and open peoples’ eyes to the horrors of it. I found it quite interesting because it defies the normal consensus of opinion that the girls who are taken into the sex slavery industry (and it IS an industry) are from poor countries etc and shows that a girl could be kidnapped while on a very innocent date BY her date, and that age is not necessary limited to under 18. Other details of how the operation is run and ways they transit the girls is in there too. It’s quite graphic as well and disgusting! The show has played many times on cable channels; it was a Lifetime Mini-series that first aired in Oct 2005. It was on yesterday and again today but I don’t see it scheduled for tomorrow…maybe later in the week? It’s just called Human Trafficking. You can buy it on Amazon.

Your ignorance about life is overwhelming, and the sad part is I suspect you are an adult posing as a young person. Your language, as in “the girl” sounds just like the perps and their families. The girl has a name; it is Natalee. She had friends, family, past successes and dreams for the future. She was a real person, created by God, and should be remembered as such. It is easy to think of her as a thing, an object, when you use a generic term like “the girl”. That is exactly what she was to your boys – an object, a toy to be used and discarded, then call daddy to clean up the mess.
Natalee was not a queen per se, as we do not value or bow down to royalty here. We value EVERY human life. In our Declaration of Independence from England are these words:

As a human being, and as a young American we value Natalee more than you will ever understand. We also value justice and basic human rights. Those of you who get on this board and make comments such as yours (#20) will not make this go away, you only fan the flames of the cry for justice.
Mos does not have to meet with Taco Joe, he is nothing more than a nuisance. There had to new evidence otherwise the suspects could not be re-arrested. And the prosecution does not have to present this all at one time. They’re unanswered questions that are important to the case. Also phone taps and text messaging that they didn’t have before.
I believe the prosecution knows what they are doing. And by all means doesn’t want any outside interference like that had the last time. Paulus and his stinking advise and criminal friends.
I also don’t think Hans Mos is not going to let anyone push him around. It’s more than obvious the boys are lying, conflicting stories and trying to put blame on each other. Many, many questions have never been resolved and Mos wants the answers.
YoYo: There is NO question that if VDS have their way, the Kalpoes will be thrown under the bus. This is why the Kalpoes need to get very smart, very fast and spill the beans. They have the most to lose in all of this – because whatever their actions were that night, we know they were not alone. Joran and Paulus were involved. Joran and Paulus would be more than happy to hang the Kalpoes in order to escape any accountability.
I certainly hope the Aruban system will allow Mos to keep Paulus and Tacopina away from Joran. These two enable Joran. Mos needs to ensure that no messages get to Joran through anyone. This may be why they are denying even reading material – to ensure that papa sloot doesn’t sneak in messages.

I think you’re right on the mark in everything you said. The Van der sNOOTs have been trying to throw ANY one they can under that bus. And they’ve had alot of help from dirty officials. I think they tried to hang the Kalpoes in 2005 and I think they are even more desperate, now.
The problem with the Kalpoes is that they want things both ways. There have been rumors that the Van der sNOOTs have been paying them to keep quiet, which, if it’s true, is the same as recieving blood money. There is going to come a time when they either have to jump ship and tell the truth or go down with the ship.
I’ll never forget when Joran told the investigators that Deepak had buried Natalee at the Fisherman’s Huts. Deepak and Satish, both, were pleading with Joran to “Just tell the truth”. Funny how the tables have turned and now the whole world is pleading with them.
How they can remain quiet, after all the tricks Paulus pulled on them during the first investigation, is a total mystery to me. For the love of money, perhaps; the Bible says one will stab themselves over and over again and do damage to their very soul. Let’s hope the Kalpoes have given up their hopes of becoming rich and, for once, consider what is really at stake.

If this were just about the Kalpoes, this would’ve been over and done in June 2005. Read Joran’s interview with Greta, repeatedly he tries to point the finger at the Kalpoes, in one of his police statements, he says Deepak raped and killed/buried Natalee by the fisherman’s huts. Even took the cops to the beach, but got mad and hit the hood of the police car with his handcuffed hands, when he got there.

The US is the only western country who can imprison ppl without laywer/judge acces (on a caribian island…) or ships out suspects to be tortured or throws out rules and regulations becuase it suits them better.

I do give her credit for covering this story, but don’t believe Greta owns this story. Scared Monkeys has stayed with this story daily since day one. Other news channels on tv read a story here and there and go out and comment haven’t seen 1/3 of what we have here daily. Once and awhile they report an item on it and then it’s gone again.
