The pictures of Paulus Van der Sloot and the man sitting at the poker table in the casino where Natalee Holloway and other Mountain Brook teens were playing are hauntingly similar. How is it possible that more video was not released of the time Natalee Holloway was in the Excelsior Casino? A casino is one of the most video taped businesses. There should be video tape of all areas, at all times of every which angle. Is it the guy in the casino video Paul Van der Sloot?

A friend just gave me a copy of the May 14th National Enquirer. It had an article on the search of the Van der sloot place. Art Wood isn’t happy. He said that the Dutch didn’t break up the patio. He said that a few days after Natalee vanished. A backhoe operator told him that that he was hired to dig out an extended patio by the Van Der Sloots pool. The backhoe guy was puzzled because he wasn’t allowed to pour the concrete. It sounded so suspicious that Woods told local detectives. But they didn’t do anything. He also says it obvious that the arubas didn’t pass that info on to the dutch team. Because there’s no indication that they broke up the patio concrete during there search?

What is pretty amazing….is that the videos that were distributed showed Natalee and Joran entering the casino too.
Yet, the only videos we see are ones with an obscured Paulus and no video of Paulus entering or wandering the casino.
My guess is that these were the only videos released to ALE and they thought they were OK because Paulus was obscured and the focus would be placed on Joran.
Paulus is the perp…..How are the suntans going KLPD??? Have you tracked down the mattress yet? Have you dug up the pool yet? Have you retracted Karin Janssen’s letter yet???
WHY THE KLPD SEARCH OF THE SLOOT PROPERTY IS A FARCE:
We had been told that under ‘Dutch Law’ the predators no longer needed to answer any questions regarding their crimes against Natalee Holloway — unless, new evidence surfaced. Apparently new evidence did surface and the KLPD found it significant enough to come search the Van Der Sloot compound. So, if the new evidence allowed for the new search….why aren’t the suspects being hauled in and questioned under hot lights??? Because, this is just another show put on to show that ‘every rock was overturned and we found no evidence’?

Of course that’s Paulus there at the table talking to Natalee. And Natalee’s friends should be able to say so as well as say what he was saying to Natalee. Girls share such things so I don’t believe her friends don’t know the subject of Paulus’s conversation with Natalee and if it was he or she who initiated talk.
In all the interviews Paulus has given it would have been nice if anyone had asked him if that was him at the table. If he were innocent of anything to do with what happened with Natalee later that night he shouldn’t mind saying he was at the table. That it never comes up is telling. All avoid talk of Paulus having ‘met’ Natalee like the plague. Therefore, in my opinion, there’s something big there that needs to be investigated.

If it is revealed that the man recorded on the Excelsior Casino tape conversing with Natalee at the Black Jack table is indeed Paulus … the implication is huge. The revelation would imply that Joran lied regarding when and why his father left the casino and ….. it would imply that Paulus lied regarding when and why he left the casino. Both Joran and Paulus’ declarations state that Paulus had left the casino for home in the middle of the poker tournament … prior to Joran encounter with Natalee and her friends at the Black Jack table.

Why was it so imporant that there was no Paulus/Natalee connection … so important that a father would have his son lie in an official declaration?
Ok, so if it was Paulus, why didn’t anyone come right out and say so ? We knew he was in the casino, he admits it, but the story that he went home early because someone was dropping off the younger son doesn’t seem to be true. We have a picture of him here when he says he was at home.
So, maybe he never went home at all that evening ? Maybe he was out there after C & C’s ? Maybe he did pick ” them ” up at 4 am like Beth said. Maybe it was HIM who drove Joran home that evening ? I just don’t know how all these lies have not been cleared up by this late date. And it is driving me CRAZY.
MD- there is a very easy way to establish where the case is and where it is going.
The mattress has been in the ALE possession since 6-5-2005 when it was discovered near Grapefeild Beach. They either have it or they don’t. It is either Joran’s mattress or it’s not.
The ‘belt’ was deemed not evidence even though Joran OWNED a belt that looked remarkably like the belt discovered. Possible evidence gone.
Edwin ‘Papito’ Comemencia discarded a piece of plastic that a dog made a hit on in the dunes, and he said ‘it is nothing’. How does he know? Possible evidence gone.
Mattress should still be intact and not cross contaminated. That is if it is in fact evidence. After-all, it’s been in their possession since 6-5-2005.
But that’s not the point. The point is that the ALE’s chain of custody is either in tact or it is not. If the mattress is still their possession, then there could be something still to examine, or the cover up is complete and we would all know it is a fact. At that point, it’s only a matter of the FBI and State Dept taking over whether the ALE and KLPD like it or not. A crime against an American and a corrupt Government cover up will certainly get the MSM back involved and they will be exposed to a greater degree.
Right now the majority of people that realize this is a cover up are the people following the story on the net and not in the sofa.

Sadly, even if they prove it is Paulus at the table, still nothing will be done. Yes, it will screw up Joran and Paulus’ story as to who was there and when they left etc. However, look at all the other lies that have been swept under the rug / ignored. They aren’t going to do anything. All we can do is keep this site going and hopefully stop tourists from going to Aruba and perhaps stop Paulus and his demon seed from doing this to another girl. Libby, I agree. Earlier this year the Superior Court denied Paulus Van der Sloot further compensation for wrongful detainment. According to wiretaps and a declaration … Paulus detainment was ruled justified.

MD- I think the fear of the FBI getting involved is the only thing that has dragged this on this long, and could be the reason they are dragging it out as long as they have or can. They will drag it on as long as they feel it will they can keep the FBI out. I also believe that is why we are all hearing that there is no 2 year limit now.
It is a law that was established by the International Court so that a suspect will not have to live the rest of his or her life in limbo. They agreed that was a long enough time to charge someone or not. Again, if new evidence arises, they can be re-detained and re-interviewed.
The FBI was on Aruba in the beginning and I believe they know exactly what happened and I can not believe they will leave Natalee on the Beach knowing what they know. JMO.

Yes, that is definitly paulus. Unfortunately I suspect the dutch are not going to do anything to Paulus but let him walk. When I found out they didn’t seach under the concrete I lost all hope that the latest seach was legitimate. I know two very prominent murders where the victims were buried in containers and then placed under the concrete by a pool/hottub and they weren’t found until a year and a half later. Without the concrete being dug up I just don’t believe the dutch are there to solve the case but to complete the cover-up. In case the obvious happens and on may, 30th the case is declared closed, then I will turn up my efforts to inform people of the curruption in aruba and the netherlands. That Paulus was at the casino is not in dispute… at least not that I know of. Allegedly, he reported to arrive from Holland in the afternoon, went home to drop his luggage, went with Joran to the Casino, and left early to tend to one of the younger sons. I don’t know if it is Paulus sitting next to Natalee, but if it is I fail to see how it contributes to further strengthen the case against his son and or the Kalpoes.
Take a good look at the photo with Paulus, Anita, and Beth at the front gate? Why is Paulus looking down and sullen, while Beth and Anita are looking at each other.
Can we get the body language expert to look at that photo? It speaks to me that Paulus may figure he is caught or looking for a way out.
That photo above, at least, certainly looks like Paulus. One would think that in a place like Aruba, he would be well known enough for someone to confirm or deny his presence that night. After all, he was well known to the casino … enough so that his son was able to play with credit on his account, if I remember correctly.
Poster Janet (#17) above raised the question of how Beth “knew” PvdS was in the casino before the release of that videotape. If indeed it was, you’d think that someone let it be known to her. Remember, there was (and still is, I believe) a million-dollar reward for information leading to the recovery of Natalee.
Once again. Does Jossy ever print all theses findings in his paper? Does he ever ask about the video tape? Does he ever ask why the police didn’t break up the Concrete? Does he ever ask or put in his paper the lies and misconceptions that are going on in Aruba? Just curious. what would really shake things up is if the US issued a travel advisory to aruba like they did in mexico !i still don’t understand why this is so difficult for our supposedly elected officials to comprehend. then again, they are politicians and if it doesn’t benefit them, i doubt that they care.
This case sort of reminds me of the Zodiac murders…the cops had enough on their main suspect to give a jury the chance to come to some conclusion, yet because the letters that allegedly were written by a person claiming to be Zodiac did not match the handwriting of that main suspect the cops never even tried to bring the main suspect to trial….they ‘knew’ the letters would make them lose their case…but that was only because they assumed the letters were written by the same person who murdered all those people. Some had speculated he had an accomplice who wrote the letters and surely that suspicion along with not having any real proof the murderer actually did write letters could have been used to exclude the letters from defense evidence in a trial and the main suspect could have been tried on all the other quite damning circumstantial evidence they had. The letters should not have been a problem, but instead they ended up being THE problem.
My point is that sometimes the cops think they have to have everything perfectly aimed at one person, but when cells of persons are involved in a crime there is no one avenue that leads to one particular person. I think this is what has gone on with the Natalee case.
I think PVDS knows perfectly well what happened to Natalee, but since the focus is on her going off with J2K and what THEY did with her, it stops there. The investigators are not considering ‘conspiracy theory’ that someone other than J2K took over after something bad happened. I’d bet money that whoever took over did so without telling J2K the facts so guess what? J2K don’t know what happened to Natalee in the end, which indicates to me that she was alive when they last saw her…maybe sick or injured, but alive….maybe handed off for sex in trade for clearing up Joran’s and/or Paulus’s gambling debts, but still alive etc. So all J2K have to do is say she was alive when they last saw her and not volunteer anything more and they are home free. All Paulus has to do is keep threatening that he’s being harrassed until he intimidates the investigation from taking a hard look at his whereabouts that night and he’s home free too because the government doesn’t want to pay him any more money in case they don’t turn up any proof that hangs him.
Cops afraid of making a mistake is what has and still does keep this case from being solved, imo.
On june 25 2005 there was a telephone call to the Dutch police about Yoran and his father being deeply involved in this unsolved murdercase. The Kalpoebrothers were framed was the message.

On Sunday, I do not remember the date any more, I went at approximately 16.00 hours, to the “Excelsior Casino” at the Holiday Inn Hotel to play “Texas Hold’m poker”. (with this the suspect is talking about May 29th 2005). I went with my father named “Paul van der SLOOT” to the casino. I went to play “Texas Hold’m Poker” with my father.
… When it was half time of the game my father wanted to go home to go and babysit my ten year old brother. At my father’s request I sat in for him and played “Texas Hold’m poker. I am not sure as to when half time was but I think it was between 19.00 and 20.00 hours. I kept on gambling until I lost too. This was according to me until 21.30 to 22.00 hours. I went to walk around in the casino and after that went to the “Blackjack” table to play blackjack. While I was sitting at the table the girl “Natalee” that is missing now to the blackjack table together with her friends.

My youngest son Sebastian who was playing at a friends house was due to be dropped off at home around that time. Joran, with my permission, took over my seat because he had been eliminated earlier.

Not only is that Paulus Van Der Sloot in the video, but he also knew where to sit so that the camera wouldn’t focus on him so much. He intentionally wanted to stay out of sight as much as possible. When Joran said to his mother “This would not have happened if you had been here” is right because Paulus would have been home with her.
Here is what is a bit bizarre about this whole casino video thing.

1) The predator entering the casino at 19:51…or, 7:51pm for us State siders….
2) Natalee is shown entering the casino at 20:58…or 8:58pm.
3) The card game is played at 20:25…or 8:25. Or, 30 minutes before Natalee was said to have entered the casino (perhaps she had left to get a drink or use the restroom….but usually, drinks come to your tables at casino’s and the restrooms are located inside).
The feeling you get from watching this video…is that Natalee strolled in an hour after Joran and came and sat down at his table.
But, when you put together the time stamps….it almost is feasible that the girls were playing cards before the predator and his father entered the casino at 7:51pm. It is also interesting that Paulus said he took the predator to the casino, but is not seen entering with him.
Thus, this may give us some indication why “premeditated” charges were brought into this case. If Joran and Paulus came and sat down near the girls after they started playing…and Paulus is hitting on Natalee…their evening may have been just a little more than playing cards, but rather picking out potential prey for the evening.
The timelines here aren’t working.
The girls are playing cards with Joran only 25 minutes after he entered the casino…yet Joran was there for a free poker tournament.
Paulus was supposedly at home at 18:30…or 6:30…which is two hours prior to this video that shows him sitting at the table hitting on NH.
The video portrays NH entering at 9:00pm….but somehow her twin is sitting at the table next to Paulus thirty minutes earlier.
My gut is that the casino/ALE released just these clips because Paulus was obscured and to continue to place focus on Joran.
Sorry Aruba/Dutch/KLPD — Paulus was there at the table at a time when his sketchy timeline says he was home with Sebastian. I would consider this new evidence….and I would bring Mr. Van Der Sloot in for a little questioning.

Joran claims he came to the Blackjack table at 21:30-22:00 or 9:30-10pm.
Joran claims he played Texas Hold’em in the “free tournament”….yeah right…where are the casino videos for this? Supposedly he was playing for his father up until that 21:30-22:00 time period.
But Joran, your father was sitting at the blackjack table with you at 8:25pm. Why do you lie about the timeline between 8:00pm when you entered the casino and 10:00pm???
Could it be because we are trying to distance Paulus from all of this….he went home, you were playing his hand….alibi for Paulus’ timeline was complete…until this damn video was leaked to ABC. I hate it when details get in the way.

I know that the 2 main papers in Aruba are Diario and Bon Dia.I am assuming Bon Dia is more pro government and Diario the opposite.It would be interesting to know which has more circulation and which is more credible.
On Aruba there is no such thing as a trial by jury. The accused is presented to a single judge. The prosecutor and defense lawyers both plead their case before the judge. It is his decision to declare the plaintiff guilty or innocent.
If the accused is found guilty he/she can appeal to a three judge trial.
If acquitted; Aruba can appeal.
For what ever reason syndicated crime on Aruba would need a judge in their back pocket; I don’t know. Not many criminals even get arrested.
PVDS is being blackmailed. It is being driven by the crime syndicate on Aruba. Tried to have a fling while his wife was away, it backfired and he got it caught in a ringer.
Someone got wind of JVDS and PDVS plans to grab a tourist and have some fun while mama sloot was away.
Not knowning, Joran and the K2′s when they get to where they are going to have their shark fest; higher ups on the food chain grab her and take PVDS and Natalee to another location. Or they could have remained at the PVDS house.
The K2′s are told to leave and shut up. Keon leaves and maybe Freddie stays behind.
Here, they are forced to perform various acts to Natalee while being filmed. The photos are the blackmail material. The original plan for Natalee, was to have her taken back to the hotel, drugged. These criminals made sure she did not. She may have been murdered; shot as per Carpe, with Jan’s revolver. Further blackmail material. When Jan says how can I do this to my best friend’s son. He may not have been talking about arresting Joran, but having to set him up as a scapegoat.
OK MR. PVDS and JVDS; we have these pictures on file; just make sure anytime one of my amigos comes up for trial; you acquit them.

Joran gives his mother a detailed description of Natalee and his sexploitation of her. Deepak says “Your own father.” Where’s Freud you need him? I’m not firmly set on any theory about Paulus’s involvement, other than he “did whatever he had to do to protect his son”, but I do think there’s more to Joran’s twisted mind than lying and narcissism. Dig deeper into his psyche, you might find even more unattractive traits than the ones we’ve seen in interviews and his book.

“I didn’t want to serve him because of my convictions of what he’s done to those families,” Jeff Ruby said in a telephone interview Tuesday. “The way he continues to torture the lives of those families … with his behavior, attitude and conduct.”
Simpson, an NFL Hall of Famer and Heisman Trophy winner, was found innocent in 1995 of killing his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and Ron Goldman but was found liable in a civil trial that followed.
Ruby — who owns restaurants in Cincinnati, Louisville and Belterra, Ind. — said Simpson, who was in town for the Derby on Saturday, came in with a group of about 12 Friday night and was seated at a table in the back. A customer came up to Ruby and was “giddy” about seeing Simpson, Ruby said.
“I didn’t want that experience in my restaurant,” Ruby said, later adding that seeing Simpson get so much attention “makes me sick to my stomach.”
He said he went to Simpson’s table and said, “I’m not serving you.” Ruby said when Simpson didn’t respond, he repeated himself and left the room.
Ruby said Simpson soon came up to him and said he understood and would gather the rest of his party to leave.
Simpson’s attorney, Yale Galanter, said the incident was about race, and he intended to pursue the matter and possibly go after the restaurant’s liquor license.

Maggie … earlier this year the Superior Court denied Paulus “further” compensation for wrongful detainment. The ruling was based on evidence (wiretap recording/declaration)that convinced the judge that Paulus’ detention was indeed justified. However … in August, 2006 after Paulus was released as a suspect he was awarded almost $30,000(US) compensation.

You are correct. In fact, the Judge ruled that Paulus had two contacts with Natalee the night of her death and thus, there was significant evidence to bring Paulus in as a suspect.
So now…why won’t they retract Karin Janssen’s letter so they can reverse the other judgement that stated that Paulus was no longer a suspect? It appears there was adequate contact with the victim on her final night.

It is just amazing to me, all the lies they people have told to so many and never been called on in court and some stupid judge let them go and said they couldn’t be questioned again. I’m starting to believe this is the perfect place to go commit a crime. Wait 2 years to search the main suspect’s house? It all started with VDS and VDStraten. He should never have been on this case. In the meantime Joran and Paulus or the Kalpoes complaining about the police is a joke.. I read the Diario translation to mean that no compensation would be awarded Paulus’ family and … no “further” compensation would be awarded to Paulus. There does not seem to be an indication that the initial compensation that was awarded in August was in the balance.

I took the pictures, copied them to the desktop, and then put them into an apple paint program.
I picked colors from the known picture of Paulus and compared it to the picture of the guy in the casino. There is a very ire, creepy, brownish-golden color that I pick up on the forehead of both Paulus and the mystery man. The hair is harder to pick, but I can get many of the same colors.
The creepy part is the very strange golden-brownish color of the skin of both Paulus and the mystery man. Everyone else that I pick colors off the face has a shade of pink, not Paulus. You have to pick a color from down on the neck to get any pink (unless I’m missing something).
It is as if evil lurks just below the skin, and is close enough to cause a discoloration to the skin. It gives me the creeps big time.
I’m no detective, but Ray Charles could’ve made that PVS is the guy in the Casino picture.

I have always wondered if there is going to ever be a resolution to this case, and if so how do most of you feel this will play out and when. Do you think it will be something anonymous or do you think that one of the main 4 suspects will rat out the others? Also, do you think Natalee is on the island/in the ocean/or alive somewhere? It has bothered me for since the beginning. I just want to know what some of you think.

Some time ago I bought Dave Holloway’s book where he published SHANGO’S RIDDLE. When I read it I thought more attention should have been given to it…someone should study it carefully and develop a profile of him or her, in an effort to find out who SHANGO is..because I think all the clues are there. DisgustedMom (65), my idea has always been that other “Pimps” were involved, and that they were sufficiently familiar with crime TV shows, etc., to be wary of using their cell phones. So the reason Deepak stopped so close to C&Cs, when the three had every incentive to get out of the area with Natalee asap (how could they be sure that her friends wouldn’t immediately pursue them?), is to run in, give a quick hand signal or whatever to say “the plan worked,” and then get going.

With the above photos and Deepak’s statement to Joran in the back of the police car, “Your own father, unbelievable.” I am convinced that Paulus VDS had much more to do with Natalee’s disappearance than he is letting on. All 4 suspects have to be involved some way, otherwise why would Deepak try and hurt Natalee’s reputation in his taped conversation to Jamie Skeeters? Why would Deepak have Steve Croes give him an alibli. He also asked a female friend(who refused)to give him an alibi.
Deepak tried to hurt Natalee by saying she dressed, acted and talked like a slut. We all know that isn’t true. I work in a typical suburban high school and her denim skirt is longer than those I see everyday. Natalee wearing a short skirt in the tropics doesn’t make her a slut, just like that hump on Deepak’s back doesn’t make him a hunchback. (Though I like to think of him as one.)
As to Joran walking home barefoot from the beach…Highly unlikely, it is very hot in Aruba, even at night. He would have been walking on asphalt which would still have been hot or on the desert terrain. I don’t think his baby huey feet could stand it.

One of the sites Joran went to on his computer after he ‘got home’ that night was the ‘bangbus’ site. I ventured into that site to see what it was all about. Too disgusting! The goal of bangbus was to lure girls into their vehicle by means of whatever they thought would work, with the intent that they would photograph them in sexual positions and while having sexual acts take place. The lure was sometimes money and sometimes fame and sometimes just a ride somewhere. The end of every ride these girls were lured into was a drop-off at some secluded place, never taking them where they promised at the end of whatever adventure the girl fell for. The pimps thought it was funny to leave the girl stranded after she fell for their lure and they got what they wanted from her. (remember they claim to have ‘left’ Natalee alone)
It is interesting that the ‘bangbus’ game is widespread across the planet and new bangbus pimps are welcomed every day to start their own endeavor in their local. Now as the pictures of the males who were engaging in these lewd acts were shown on the site, I don’t think J2K were actually members of any bangbus gang, but I don’t doubt they used the idea to do their own thing/copycat. Joran was obviously familiar with the game since he went there on his computer that night. Or was it Paulus who went there? No way of telling who went to the site, but it was certainly someone in the VDS home.
Another site ‘someone’ went to that night -and seemingly stayed on for about a half an hour- was x-plane.com. This is interesting to me because x-plane is a flight simulator thing which more importantly offers accurate maps of just about anywhere on earth…even oceans where coordinates are given. Wind currents and such are given too, just as if you were really planning a flight, so checking currents to see where the proper place might be to drop a body in the ocean so it would not wash back to shore would be something a person might use this site for.
Joran mentioned in his book that he wanted to be a pilot when he was young. So it makes sense that he would have interest and knowledge of flight planning etc. As my own son is a pilot, I have some familiarity with flight planning and one thing I want to point out is that the date is important…wind currents change by day and projected weather conditions need to be considered so if Joran – or someone- were using x-plane to check on wind currents to find a suitable place to dump a body in the ocean without fear of it returning to shore, it would not necessarily have to be the day Natalee went missing or days shortly after. It could have been any time things worked out to when the currents were right in a particular area.
That said, I don’t think Joran is focused enough to keep all the cards in play enough to actually figure out and execute a safe ocean dropping. However, a more experienced pilot might certainly be more confident. So I’d ask, whom did Joran or PVDS know that had a plane/helicopter/or could have rented one for an outing in the days/weeks/or even months after Natalee went missing?
While I not sure if the x-plane site bothers with daily changes or just uses standards, getting a general idea of currents would be a good place to begin, thereafter a real pilot might check for a good day to make a drop.

I too believe that short stopoff Deepak made could have been to signal another player. Other possibilities include buying drugs or a phone card for his cell that he said was out of minutes earlier that night. The phone card idea could be easily checked for activation time because surely he’d have activated it right away. Not so much could the other 2 possibilities be authenticated.

My point from the other day. The time stamps on the videos are wacky. Joran shows up thirty minutes before….Natalee shows up thirty minutes after she was supposed to be at that table.
Based on all of the corruption and timeline shuffling going on….here is what I think.
Joran entered the casino at 7:58pm.
Natalee entered at 8:58pm
Card Game shows 8:25pm consistently on all of the clips.
Its as if….someone wanted the timeline to fit with the testimony that was out there. Joran testified that he did not make it to the blackjack tables until 10:pm after playing out his father’s “free” chips at the Free Texas Hold ‘em Tourney.
Joran stating this would help out Paulus’ alibi and would distance Paulus from how late he was there playing blackjack. I believe the clock on the camera shots has been altered to attempt to show that Paulus was at the casino earlier in the evening (8:25pm) without worrying about Joran’s testimony…..because he lies anyways. If Paulus was at the casino after the time where Natalee entered (8:58pm)…it once again screws up Paulus’ alibi and timeline.
In the end….Paulus is your perp. This appears to be one more attempt by Aruban law enforcement to leak information that would help timelines that has backfired. What a bunch of amateurs.

Yes, without digging up any concrete poured after the disappearance of Natalee, a real investigation is not happening. I was afraid of this but dared to hope that this would not be the case.

Here is where you are somewhat wrong.
Aruba knew right away who the perps were. For tourisms sake, they chose to arrest two black guys. The game plan was simple…the two black guys go to trial six months after…it comes out that they had complete alibi’s and there is no solid proof to convict. They walk…case close.
But, when Beth came down there and aggressively defended the two black guys, it screwed up the initial cover-up.
Now the problem was that for 8-10 days they had brazenly been trying to run the old tourism cover-up campaign. It was no longer J2K and Papa Sloot. Now it was everyone assisting the cover-up.
Bringing in the predators at 8-10 days and charging them would bring down Jacobs, Van Stratten, etc. So, they decided to dig the hole deeper. Destroying evidence, created evidence, substituting evidence, amending search warrants, etc..A VERY embarrassing situation for Aruba.
So, if they were to bring in J2k after totally covering up to save their hides…..they were going down. So, you saw them continue to add layers to the cover-up….Karin Janssen’s letter, Judge buddies writing orders, letting Joran out (during the Katrina Hurricane!) and publicly stating his travel was restricted -and then quietly giving him travelling priviledges the next day through a faxed in judges order from Curacao, etc., etc.
So, it becomes pretty simple….this whole cover-up is a snowball. It started with simply trying to do the old “Caribbean head fake” for the sake of tourism and has turned into a nightmare for the family and the people of Aruba.
This is a house of cards…and that is why the KLPD will not do a thing but go through the motions. When I hear in six weeks that the Dutch are sending several military ships and troops to the island…I will know that yes, the KLPD and the Dutch are not only going to solve this case, but provide security during the governmental turnover.

Joran just can’t decide how drunk he wants to say Natalee was.

I heard the camera in a casino called “eye in the sky” and I immediately thought of Shango. Maybe he worked the camera at the casino and was able to give the tape to ABC. A survellance person would know alot about the goings on in Aruba and the games people play.
MD, you might well be right. But with this case nearly two years old and still going on, I’m still unable to think that it’s as simple as some might have it. Could well be wrong, and I hope we find out. I still think, though, that Aruba realizes that a case of human trafficking, unlike an accidental death or murder in which the perpetrators were convicted and sentenced, would destroy tourism forever.
I’ve mentioned the case in some African resort popular with Italians, where three Italian girls were led by the tour director to a rendezvous with friends of his. The girls were assaulted, then buried in sand and rocks were thrown at them. (I know it sounds unbelievable, but it’s true.)
One of them survived, escaped when the assailants left, and managed to get back to the city. Italy sent a diplomatic observer to ensure that there was no cover-up, and there was none. Within days the four people involved were arrested and faced trial.
This took place on another island (might have been Cape Verde, but I’m not sure) with four times the population of Aruba. Too bad that our government seemingly could care less about Natalee.
But anyway, what we can do is what Miss Underestimated (144) says … don’t go to Aruba, and encourage others not to go there.
Here’s the story I was talking about, and it was Cape Verde where it happened. Interesting: it says at the end that the Cape Verde economy relies on tourism. Even so, perhaps influenced by the presence of an Italian envoy, these people seem to have handled it quickly.
This has nothing to do with Natalee’s case … but if you read this in a book, wouldn’t you think it was too strange to be true? Now tell me that human trafficking is an impossibility (I know, that doesn’t prove it happened in Aruba) ….
I’ve been thinking: just suppose that there was a brief stop at Joran’s place to transfer Natalee to another car before taking her to wherever? One of the Pimps could have left his car there. None of the Mountain Brook kids would have known to look for it. Anyway, here’s the story:
Woman “buried alive” in Cape Verde double murder

ROME, Feb 11 (Reuters) – One of the two Italian women murdered on the tropical Atlantic island state of Cape Verde last week was buried alive, the Italian honorary consul said on Sunday.
The double murder of the two women, aged 28 and 33, has shocked the people of the archipelago, especially the grisly details given by a third woman who was left for dead but survived to tell how all three were beaten with stones.
“Apparently, one of the two girls was buried when she was still alive because the autopsy found traces of earth in her lungs,” Honorary Consul Luigi Zirpoli told Reuters.
According to the survivor, Agnese Paci, 17, all three victims went with a local man, a former boyfriend of one of the women, to have dinner on Thursday night, but instead he drove them to a wood with an accomplice where he beat them with large stones.
Three men have been arrested in connection with the murders, Zirpoli said. “It looks increasingly like this was a crime of passion,” he said. One of the victims lived in Cape Verde for part of the year and worked in tourism.
Cape Verde, a former Portuguese colony, is an archipelago about 500 km (300 miles) off the coast of Senegal and tourism is a vital part of the economy.

Thanks for comments 10061906…did not know about the poor guy in the container. As Dave said in his book Shango’s riddles dried up..makes you think he was silenced, probably in the worst way. These people have a lot to answer for..they act as though they run a dictatorship. I hope and pray they all get theirs in this life or the next.
Also on the matter of the man found in the cave…I heard some reference to a female undertaker being related to one of the law enforcement people in this case but cannot recall her name.
This sort of thing is one of the most bizarre aspects of this case..I absolutely believe the ARUBANS must know what happened and for some reason, probably fear, have been kept quiet. ALL THE SAME HAS NOONE IN THE ARUBAN COMMUNITY GOT ANY MORALS OR GUTS AT ALL??

Well all people get murdered everyday and bodies not found much like the Holloway case. Natelie was a young girl in a party place and made a bad very bad decision. No girl with half a brain leaves a bar with 3 guys, unless you ar looking for trouble or you are super confident that you “can take them”. But girls leaving the bar with guys, happens every day and is a stupid decision. Natalie messed up and it cost Natelie her life. I feel bad for her loved ones. I feel bad for the Van Der Sloots whatever their role if any. They will be dealt with by a far greater power than us. But please stop pretending that this is something special, that Natalie is this innocent little girl. She was not. She was not taken against her will. And if she was intoxicated the chaperones have some explaining to do as do the so called “friends” she went to the bar and casino with. A cardinal rule of the Sisterhood is “you leave the bar with who you came”. I come with my girls, I leave with my girls, under no circumstances do we separate.
