Joran Van der Sloot Charged in Alabama with Extortion in the Case of Natalee Holloway

As if Joran Van der Sloot wasn’t already in enough trouble. He was already the prime suspected individual in the disappearance and death of Natalee Holloway. Then Joran became the suspect in the stabbing death of 21 year old Stephany Flores in Peru. Van der Sloot was arrested and taken into custody yesterday near Santiago, Chile.

Just when you thought that this dispicable individual could not get him self into any more trouble, Joran Van der Sloot is now charged in Alabama with extortion. That is correct, Joran Van der Sloot who was never charged in the death and disappearance of Natalee Holloway in Aruba, even though he has confessed to the crime twice and was the last person ever to be seen with Natalee has now been charged with extortion and wire fraud in promising to disclose the whereabouts of Natalee Holloway for $250,000. The investigation into the extortion charges against Van der Sloot had been on going for the past six weeks. Yet another bizarre coincidence that JVDS would find himself in further trouble, now the prime suspect in yet another murder.

The United States Attorney for the Northern District of Alabama charged Joran Van der Sloot Thursday afternoon with extortion and wire fraud, saying the Dutchman promised information on Natalee Holloway’s whereabouts in exchange for $250,000, reports CBS News affiliate WHNT in Huntsville, Ala.

I thought that Joran Van der Sloot said he had nothing to do with Natalee Holloway’s disappearance, or so says Aruban authorities, prosecutors and the 3 judge panel. Wanna try that one again folks?

The extortion criminal compliant can be read HERE. Joran Van der Sloot in his infinite wisdom, or lack there of has finally cooked his goose in the case of Natalee Holloway.  Since Aruba was never going to prosecute either Joran Van der Sloot, Deepal Kalpoe or Satish Kalpoe in the death of Natalee Holloway, the family had always looked to a way to have jurisdiction be in the United States. Previous attempts have been struck down.  Guess what, Joran Van der Sloot’s latest efforts of extortion have now created the nexus for there to be jurisdiction in the US.
